Had the worst experience in my whole visit to Amsterdam in this place. If I could, I’d leave 0 stars. Don’t come here if English isn’t your first language or you have thick accent! English isn’t my first language and I have a thick english accent. I wanted to buy a joint of Gorilla Glue, which wasn’t explicit in the menu it was hash mixed with tabacco. The guy in the register offered me the mixed tabaco joints before this and I told him that no tabacco for me, but when I asked for the Gorilla Glue pre-rolled joint, which I saw after in the menu, he sold it to me, even though I told him I don’t smoke tabacco. I only did one puff and realized it had tabacco on it, which is really bad for me bc I get dizzy, nauseous, light headed, even mu heart rate was affected. I had to rest a lot there (around an hour). I told him he sold me tabacco, and he said that he showed me all the joints with tabacco and the pure ones: be minded that it can be a little overwhelming seeing that huge menu. He did offered me some water. But my rating goes beyond this, which was a really bad misunderstanding with poorly client service experience. I went to talk to the ¿owner? about this, that the other guy sold me a tabacco joint when I told him I didn’t want tabacco, if there was a refund of some sorts or whatever bc I wasn’t going to smoke it, and I was feeling really sick from that puff. I guess the guy felt threatened or something, but he was INCREDIBLY rude with me. He said that there was no refunds, which could make sense, but also that I should know my weed, and that Gorilla Glue only comes in hush (no buds), which isn’t true (and wanted to make me feel like a n00b). He also said that I should know how to read a menu, bc if it says GB in the hash section, it will be mixed with tabacco in the pre-rolled joints… and his nom verbal expressions were as bad as his customer dealing. I told him tabacco makes me sick, he never asked me how I was, or acknowledge my experience as his client. I started to feel uncomfortable and not listened, I told him that for future customers they should be more explicit, specially if they’re working in a tourist area with customers that english isn’t their first language, they should be more empathetic and communicative, he just kept smiling and noding, no apology or acknowledgement of the problem.

German version below the english one. ENG: This was the first coffeeshop we walked in and instantly it was our favorite. The atmosphere is really realxing with nice music and comfy seats. The staff was super nice and helpful and gives advice if you are not experienced. The quality of the strains they offer are really good, if you are unsure about a strain, you can ask the staff, they show you the buds and you can feel and smell them so you can be sure about the quality. The prices for drinks and food, for being near Amsterdam Centraal, are low. The prices for weed are common (~ 9.5 - 12.5 EUR). Of course there are also strains that are more expensive but... i think, you should suprise yourself at this point ;-) Greetings to the staff, especially to Nayla (hope i spelled it correct), Andrea, Ramona and Mauro. You guys are awesome <3. DE: Das war der erste Coffeeshop in den wir gegangen sind und es war sofort unser Favorit. Die Atmosphäre ist super entspannt mit angenehmer Musik und bequemen Sitzmöglichleiten. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit und berät einen wenn man noch nicht so erfahren ist. Die Qualität der Sorten ist sehr gut, wenn man sich unsicher ist, einfach das Personal fragen, die zeigen einem die Blüten, man kann sie anfassen und dran riechen um sich selbst zu überzeugen. Die Preise für Getränke und Essen sind, für die Nähe zu Amsterdam Centraal, günstig. Die Preise für Weed sind im normalen Bereich (~9,5 - 12,5 EUR). Klar gibt es auch Sorten die teurer sind aber... ich denke an diesem Punkt solltet ihr euch selbst überraschen lassen ;-)

I do not know what happened to the old crew, good people they had. We went there, we bought what one can buy from a coffeeshop, and wanted to sit and smoke (we were 3) and as we started rolling the stuff, the guy came over to us "hey you must order Something if you want to sit down" and I was like "order what bro we just bought something" and he replied "if you do not drink anything you have to go. I will come back in 5 Minutes and ask you if you wanna drink something again." we said fine we will leave in 5 mins, approximately after we finish rolling. He came back (in less than 5 mins) and told us to go, with a really anxious mood and a scammer attitude. I used to love this place and come here every time,I used to tell people to go to this specific coffeeshop cuz I knew these WERE good people. I see not anymore. Big loss of The Store to "Scamming Tourists in Amsterdam" Tradition.

The Store, which is in place of the old ‘The Doors’ coffeeshop, is a sweet hang out. Perfect location for an early smoke fresh off the train, the reverse: somewhere to chill whilst waiting to go home, and a midway point on a tiring walking holiday, it is situated brilliantly. The weed is great quality, we tried the ‘Donkey Butter’ which was awesome, and it was one of the few places to still supply the classic AK-47. The seats are comfy and if lucky enough u can grab the corner sofa. Only 4 tables total so it rarely gets too busy, that is apart from the continuous queue for their particular product. Staff were friendly and informative, and let me take a photo of their ‘Rolled/Royce’ blunt which went for 60 Euro!! Love the place, one of the best for a mature holiday maker, avoiding the hustle and bustle. Keep it up guys!

We bought 3 strains of flower and they were very nice (blood orange & white runtz & Skywalker haze) so we bought a 3rd strain ice cream cake which was more expensive and 2g. I did ask to look at it but got a blank stare so just asked for 2g in good faith as the others we had bought were very nice. When passed the bag after paying I immediately looked and smelled it and it didn’t smell like ice cream cake at all… didn’t smell of much of anything. I asked straight away if I could exchange it or get refund to which I was told no. We smoked and vaped it anyway with mighty and Dynavap but just as I thought it was terrible and tasteless. The milkshake drinks we had were nice, some of the weed was nice and reasonable priced, The service was poor and the ice cream cake was terrible and top of the price list.

Erst einmal einen "Coffee" trinken . Man wird sehr nett beraten. Die Mitarbeiter erklären auch alles. Ziemlich günstig sogar für die Innenstadt Lage. Lage direkt am Kanal. Hier sind sowohl die Gäste als auch die beiden jungen Verkäufer sehr gechillt, haben freundliche, lächelnde Mimik:)). Very nice. Man fühlt sich auch als allein Reisende Frau wohl und sicher. Leckere Erfrischungen. Man kann am Tresen sowohl schon fertig gedrehte Zigarette kaufen, als auch nur Tabak und am Tisch selber fertig drehen. Da ich nicht drehen kann, habe ich 2 fertige Zigaretten für nur jeweils 5€ gekauft und am Tisch gemütlich geraucht. Mehr braucht man eigentlich nicht schreiben. Solche Cafés braucht man auch in Deutschland.

Mon préféré depuis 15 ans. Mention spéciale pour la MORISON ! toute personne normalement constituée devrait l'essayer. Je regrette seulement l'époque où ce coffeeshop s'appelait THE DOORS, il n'a plus du tout la même âme qu'avant mais reste un des plus qualitatif de la capitale. L'enseigne a changé de nom mais jamais son contenu. Bon alors premièrement gros big up aux deux staff ! Ils sont géniaux ! Vraiment. La musique est un vrai délire de hip hop (un peu à l’ancienne). On est très bien installer, il y a des banquettes sur les long du magasin est dans le coin près de la fenêtre une banquette ++ (comme un canapé) Le milk shake banane est une dinguerie et les prix ne sont pas cher (5€ pour un bon milkshake) Quant aux prix de l’herbe et bien c’est tres abordable et une qualité très très bonne (si vous voulez ne pas être déçu de votre voyage je vous conseil la zoap à 20€ le g) Bien sûr il y a de tout les prix Je recommande a 100% Pas de tabac dedans

My favourite spot in Amsterdam! It was the first coffeeshop I’ve visited and I have anxiety so I was worried what the experience would be like. I do smoke usually so I know what I’m looking for thankfully but the staff were very welcoming so I’m sure if you needed advice they’d be more than willing to help. I got a chocolate milkshake which was delicious, I stayed for two prerolled cali joints and the vibe was amazing, I really didn’t want to leave to check into the hotel. Highly recommend this place.

We have always been their customers, we have always taken weed, colas, espressos, but one day one of the manager it was terrible, one time after ordering 6 coffes and 3 colas, i asked for a small glass of water coming the coffee and they look at me very bad, i asked for a tissue, they give me the toilet paper. Ridicolous. I understand we are in Amsterdam and the service it is what it is.. but this...come on! Nobody is complaining maybe only for the location which is great. Bad, bad, service.

had such a good experience here my friends and I had never smoked before and the guys in there were really kind and welcoming. they gave us great advice and made us all feel very comfortable. We sat inside, reay chill music and very calm, relaxing vibe, not too busy either, all the guys checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay and it was exactly what my friends and I were looking for as first time smokers! also really great coffee and not over priced

We arrived at our hotel too early and found this coffee shop to sit at while we waited. They were very cool about letting us sit in the outdoor area, which was quite pleasant. Friendly service, I did get a cup of coffee that was excellent. D got some soda. I'll post a view from our hotel window across the street. The nice lady there gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner that turned out to be a great experience.

È stato il primo coffee in cui abbiamo consumato. A pochi passi dalla stazione, Abbiamo fumato il primo giorno M2, prezzo 12€ ottimo gusto. L’ultimo giorno siamo tornati per provare la Cali, devo dire che il prezzo era tra i migliori di Amsterdam, 20€ per Mac#2, ottima qualità e gusto. Il milk shake al cioccolato era molto buono, i toast piccolini e non buonissimi.

Ebenso einer meiner Lieblingsplätze in Amsterdam... Früher hieß der Laden 'The doors' und hier wurde eine spezielle Haze Sorte namens Jim Morrison angeboten, die es bis jetzt noch hier erhältlich ist. Die Preise sind Top und meistens erhältst du hier noch Sorten wie Gelato und Banana selbst abends noch, wenn es in anderen Coffeeshops bereits ausverkauft ist.

Saturday night, my friend and I go into the store at 00:45 to buy takeaway. After making us smell the varieties we want, he yells at us that The Coffeeshop is closed when it's time to pay (probably schizophrenic) I don't recommend this to anyone who wants to have a good time, with a good friendly welcome. I recommend the Greenhouse next door To be avoided

Located quite centrally in Amsterdam, at one of the beautiful canals. What i really liked is that it was not one of those dodgy dark coffeeshops, but that it actually looked like a proper café, that sells quite nice coffee and milkshakes (besides the obvious products), and which has a lot of seating outside. Beautiful on a sunny day, can recommend.

Went in Today after a recommendation from a mate, no longer the doors cafe but place didn’t let me down. Friendly staff not pushy but happy to help. Definitely the strongest pre rolled joints I tried anywhere and good price. Highly recommend the blood orange kush and the Dutch brownies ! And quite happy with prices. Will pop back definitely

Really loved it here, went everyday! Good music, good vibe, super friendly and lovely location! Cba also sit outside too if the hotbox vibe isn’t for you. Also their hot chocolates are amazing too! I liked this place because it had less of a crackhead vibe that some places had, it was just super chill and cosy!

Ich wurde gefragt, was ich mir so vorstelle, die Sorte hat dann eher gegenteilig gewirkt. An sich cool, aber eben nicht das, was ich wollte. Hab 1g gekauft, waage hat 1,3 angezeigt, gefragt, ob es so passt, meinte ja. Später gemerkt, dass ich für 1,5 bezahlt hab. Fand ich nicht so cool.

Great coffeshop in which I come often chilling in the outside area. Unfortunately the worker Mauro is rude and does not provide the best service, making the experience not as good as the usual.
