I would not recommend this place. The bouncer (with a green beanie) would not even open the door for us claiming that the place was at its full capacity, so i took two steps back and he lets two Caucasian females in with no questions asked. Bearing in mind my boyfriend, sister and i were looking forward to experiencing this place. Not sure how the place is because the bouncer was so disgustingly rude but if you manage to get in... Good for you and enjoy... Although i wouldn't spend a cent there. The bouncer was a Young white male. This was clearly an incident that involved race as he would not let me in but he let two other white females in after i took two steps back. If the place was at its fill capacity, why did he let those girls in? We are in the 21st century and this behavior is disgusting.

I've always had a lekka time at thirsties. But i was quite a bit annoyed at the end of last night. When i shouldve stayed in a state of elation after we won the world cup. I watched the entire game here, drank here until 1am and stepped outside to try and get cigerettes with my full drink on the counter. When i came back the young white bouncer wouldnt let me or others back in since im guessing last round was called. He wouldnt hear me out and just kept the door closed. I couldnt even get to say cheers to the people i was celebrating with inside. I don't expect to get treated this way, especially after spending my entire night here and on a day we made history. Truly sad.

This used to be my favourite place to chill after IT had closed down. Until I had an awful experience with the bouncer. We know eachother personally but had drifted as friends. I was with my friend and he came up behind me and kicked me hard behind the legs and when I pushed him in some form of defense he grabbed my arm forcefully and grabbed my head. He laughed. I'm too scared to go back until he has been removed as I fear my safety.

Small bar but a lot of fun. Thursday's are buy one get one free between 9-11pm it's seriously good fun as the place gets very social. Smoking is allowed inside. Not really a place for kids, more like a place for parents to go for a great night out before some dancing along beachfront. Quite popular during the summer months when tourists are visiting. Only downside is that there's only one bathroom and it gets revolting when it's busy.

I love Thursty Turtle! Always a good vibe, it's easy on the pocket and there is always lots of fun to be had! Whether it's during the day for a chilled drink or at night for a jol, there really is something for everyone. I met my husband there, so ladies, there's hope! The bartenders are friendly and accommodating and if you have any issues, the owners are 100% willing to sort you out. (bonus, it's pet friendly during the day)

Totally crab venue where all drink brandy specials till they wobble and there are fights and i mean continiously , think if i was back in my 18 to 21 age group possibly would go , have to que for drinks that is if lucky enough to catch 1 of 2 bar ladies eye , definitely would not recommend , the only good thing about the place are the bouncers that keep the drunk crowd in some sort of control !

Very crowded, almost no place to stand or dance. The bar is always a struggle because people tend to sit there. There are couches but be prepared to wait for a open one or you should go early. If your going to chill with a few friends it can be considered. But you have no view of nothing basically, so if you don't like small spaces, and warm smokey air that's your perfect hangout

Dirty, maintenance behind, ventilation should be reevaluated and the usual lady behind the bar seems to always enter an additional drink accedently... Perhaps to get your bill higher? Ask for your slip and check before you pay. Otherwise, nice that their license ends later than the usual 2am and the music was great the last time I visited.

What a horrible place! Bar service is slow. Music is way too loud. The DJ also can't seem to make up mind on what to play. Bathrooms are always filthy and can't handle the demand of the massive crowd in this small place. People actually go the the bar next door for a cleaner bathroom with shorter Q's

I love going here, the staff or nice and the drinks are strong, but some people need to chill a bit, it is a place to have fun and let loose which is the case 9/10 but you always get the people looking for nonsense when they are drunk, definitely worth visiting thought and I'll definitely be back

I am biased as this is my local spot. Best value for money when it comes to booze here in Blouberg. Does not serve food so eat before you go. Jukebox with hundreds of thousands of songs. Everyone is very friendly and I have never seen drama happen there. Definitely worth a visit.

Usually, it's a great place to have a beer , the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Recently, there's a issue with the lighting at the front end of the bar , you almost can't see where you are walking. Then there is the booth table at the back that is broken in half.

Really interesting place..more for a younger crowds. . Open till late and staff is great. As a younger person you will enjoy your evening out . And it's close to loads of places if u get hungry or u want to go to the beach it's stroll away. Check it out you will like it.

Great little pub with friendly staff and pumping music. Drink prices are very reasonable, but expect to wait a while for bar service on busy nights. Be warned that it is a smoke friendly bar, so if you not a smoker or dislike smoking, this place probably isn't for you.

My advice would be to never visit this club, tonight (Friday 10 September 2021) was my first and last time there. The bouncer was extremely disrespectful and unfair. The location is ideal but the staff are completely out of line, especially those working in front.

Is this the best bar you’ll ever go to? No. Is it the biggest vibe all the time, also no. But, some of the best bar staff around and an absolute pleasure of a local watering hole. You’ll most definitely have a time

Very comfortable place, service is always quick, even when the place is crowded, drinks are reasonably priced, and always a good crowd around, whether you're looking to make new friends or just chill on a date. Definitely a must if you're in the area

I love thurstys since the first time I went there and that was only about a month ago and it's such a vibe although I do wish they would play alittle more amapiano other than that great place.

This is my spot to go kick back and grab and drink or two after a long week. Drinks are very affordable, always ask for specials to get your money's worth and the music is always great.

Great bar with good bar staff. Chilled hang out in the afternoon and more lively in the evenings especially on Thursday nights for 2 for 1 on just about all drinks from 21:00 to 00:00.

Always a great place to have a good time. Especially on Thurrsty Thursday Buy One Get One Free!!!! The lack of space can be a bit annoying at times but you'll soon forget about that!

Awesome environment for a bar. Have some great specials and usually quite busy over the weekends and Thursdays as that's when they have their biggest 2 for 1 special.

Venue too small and cramped, bar staff as well isn't enough. Service is very very slow on Friday and Saturday nights due to the bar size and staff size.

Drinks are cheap, and it's a good place to gather with the mates and have a great time. Loud music and often full. Toilets arent the best though

I like Thirsty Turtle. They play nice music and they have a Pool Table. Reminds me of Stones. Great for a beer after work.
