I've been interested in trying this place since it opened. We recently scheduled our last happy hour there so I got to try it. I was a little nervous about having a happy hour there since it's more of a restaurant, but they did a great job. We took over one of the large community tables and the area around it. Over the course of the night, we probably had 20-25 people there. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were running around making sure everyone was helped. I couldn't have asked for better service with such a large group. I've had bad experiences at other places with a large happy hour group, but they did a fantastic job. Now for the important part: the food. It was so hard to decide what to order because so many things looked good. We ended up going with the Connecticut lobster roll and the fisherman's pick fish sandwich. We upgraded to boo fries on one of them. I thought both were delicious. I liked the fish sandwich the most. I wished the lobster roll was bigger after we split it. I also tried some of the raw and grilled oysters and got chicken sandwich that someone else ordered. They have a $1 oyster happy hour special weekdays from 4-7 which is a great deal. I loved their oysters. The hot chicken sandwich was good, but I wouldn't get it at a seafood place. For drinks we had the Sunken Pirate and the Sirens Gathering. Both were very good, but my personal preference was the Sirens Gathering. One minor complaint is that it gets incredibly loud in there when it's crowded. Places are built to be visually stunning these days, not have good acoustics. I would definitely recommend checking this place out for some great seafood!

Loved our experience. Went on a Friday evening busy. Party of 2 about a 30 minute wait not too bad. They use a text alert system to alert you when your table is ready so make sure you Phone isn't on silent. Sat inside near the bar. Nice atmosphere they tuned down the lights around 8ish maybe very moody I liked it. Put server was attentive and prompt asked us if we'd been before since they updated the menu and relayed to us new items such as the Watermelon Wreck frozen Margarita and the addition if scallops to the menu to name a few. We ordered Watermelon Wreck Topside Treasure Blue Ice Tequila drink with shark gummy Calamari House oysters Fried shrimp platter with fries Scallops , blackened, sweet heat season with rice and peppers pilaf with Pineapple glaze that was soooooo good highly recommend. Excited to come back and try more menu items and drinks and hopefully sit upstairs on the rooftop. They also have a lunch, brunch and happy hour offerings in addition to the all day menus. Located off of South Blvd in the shopoing center with Harris teeter and, at&t store and maple Street Biscuit Company. Parking wasn't too bad but I also took a rideshare ro be on the safe side Go visit the Waterman and Sea Level their sister restaurant in Uptown it's my favorite.

Visiting from Atlanta, we had a taste for seafood and after searching Google we landed on this spot. Our wait was shorter than we were told and our server was super warm, friendly, and efficient. We happily sat outside, it was just late enough that the heat of the day had diminished. Our server (name began with an L, I hate that I forgot it- she had cute winged eyeliner and great lashes :-) checked on us often even though the spot was super busy. We started with the Calamari which was tender, tasty, and served with 2 nice sauces. For the main course, I had the trout, fried, and my husband had the blackened platter. Everything was well-seasoned, and all the seafood was moist, tender, and tasty. The broccoli on his platter was delish as was my dirty rice. Honestly, I would have been happy with just the broccoli but I'm glad I got the trout. We skipped drinks and dessert this time but will try them next time.

It's been literally a year and a half since I first came and they said a lot has changed. I felt it for the menu. The hush puppies were alright. They aren't very sweet, but the honey butter? Excellent choice for a southern place. The Cajun pasta was next level delicious. What really makes me want to go back (was the pasta) was the kind service. Literally five people helped me. I couldn't find the front entrance and ended up upstairs, so a host guided me inside. I got my water from the bar and the bartender walked around the bar to hand it to me instead of making me stretch for it. A manager brought out my appetizer and let me put in my order with her, another manager/owner checked on me while I was eating, another person brought me a box and bag. All of this AND I had my own waiter. Long review to say, it was so nice to see all of the staff cared about every guest's experience. You can tell they don't mind helping each other out. They're not the "oh, your waiter will come back and refill your water" type. I was a guest of one and got all that attention. Very kind.

Excellent service and even more excellent food! We were greeted *before* we walked through the door by the friendliest host, who made us feel welcome. Our server, Mark, was attentive, helpful, and friendly. If you go, ask for his table and you won't be disappointed! Plenty of seating in this bright and airy place, and it's family-friendly. Onto the food... The cerviche was delightful--full of meat and flavor! We also ordered the hush puppies, which were a hit. For our meals, we ordered the trout (yum!) and the Mug of Chowder/Side Salad with salmon. The chowder was packed with clams! You may need to add a pinch of salt to bring the flavor to , but it was super-delish! Gosh, you could probably order anything from their menu and be totally satisfied. Oh, and there is plenty of easy parking--bonus!! Give it a go! You may find The Waterman Fish Bar to be your new favorite spot. Love what you eat and who you eat with!

My husband and I went here for the first time for lunch. The Waterman Fish Bar is located in a pretty busy part of Charlotte. Currently there's a lot of construction going on, on South Blvd. However, this restaurant is a nice getaway from all that's going on around it. We were met at the door by Courtney who asked if we wanted to eat inside or outside. We decided to eat outside, upstairs. There is also seating outside, downstairs. (There is no elevator.) We were greeted by our server, KC who also happened to be the bartender. He created a nice sweet drink for me. It was deliciously. My husband ordered an IPA beer. Our appetizer was a Crispy Calamari w/a sweet chili sauce which was soooo good. I would order that again. For lunch we had tacos. A Fish Taco for him and both of us had the Salmon Tacos. We shared a basket of Sweet Tots. Also I had a sweet tea. Everything was delicious. The GM, Mel stopped by to welcome us and make sure everything was good. She was very friendly along with the rest of the staff. We will definitely be back.

Came here for my friends birthday dinner around 7pm. It's located in a shopping center beside a Harris Teeter, so there are plenty of parking spots, including side street parking. Place has an open floor plan and plenty of patio and upstairs seating. It kind of reminded me of their sister restaurant Sea Level as they have an oyster bar specifically for you to sit at if you are interested in eating oysters. Our waitress was named Rebecca and she was super sweet and nice, especially to my friend since it was her birthday. We ordered around 7:30pm, and even though it was not so busy and most of us ordered salads, it did take a good 40+ minutes for us to receive our food. Wasn't a big deal as we were all chatting, but at a certain point, we were all ready to eat. Overall, I definitely liked the vibe of this place. It can be upscale but also very casual. I will definitely be coming back to try their oysters and their lunch menu.

I found hair in my food. I was satisfied with the service, food was ok. Was willing to give at least a 4 star for atmosphere, there was a nice mixed crowd. Outdoor and rooftop options to include an actual inside dining area provided for alot of seating. But after enjoying almost all my meal, trying all the various condiments that came with the meal, I found a piece of hair in my food. Yes they were professional enough to comp my meal but no true apologies...it felt as if it was no big deal to management and the waiter just brought the check. Again a great place to have a date or social outing with a friend just check your food. Also your drink....according to the waitress we asked about a flower pedal in some of the drinks that was consumed by a person in my party and supposedly it's not edible...being a chef id never put a non edible flower without a disclosure...but...anyways I'd never go back but if your willing...it's not too bad!!!

This was my first dining experience here! We originally wanted to sit at the roof top seating but thankfully we did not! My server Honey was absolutely mostly my favorite part of my dining experience!!! She recommended the best of the best and we went our way and her recommendations as well and her service with her beautiful smile were to the tee! We started with 3 starters. Ceviche, roasted oysters, and amazing mussels! We ordered with our eyes. For our entrees we had the blackened platter and the lobster roll with a side of their delicious cole slaw! We def. Got boxes but give a huge shout out to them and Honey again Best server ever! Her pen and lashes were on point to match her mad service industry skills. Will be back for sure!!!!

We recently checked out this fairly new establishment located on South Blvd near the New Bern rail stop (as well as Mac's Speed Shop BBQ). It's affiliated with the Upstream Seafood restaurant uptown which we love. While upstream is more of a formal upscale restaurant, Waterman is your laid-back casual oyster and seafood joint, very hip and trendy. They have inside, outside and a covered rooftop (with a view of the Uptown skyline down south Blvd). Bars located inside and on the rooftop (see pics). We shared the Chargrilled Oysters, NC Trout (which was enough for two for us), and two Tacos (Grilled Fish and Brisket - warning the tacos are small but good). We really thought the food was excellent, although together a little too salty for my taste. Also some interesting cocktails as well as my favorite Wicked Weed Pernicious IPA on tap! I highly recommend and free parking behind the restaurant.

First time visit, prices are a bit more than your overage seafood restaurant…However, flavor flavor flavor! Concept was great, chef made menu and the closest thing to coastal freshness this far inland! Everything is amazingly fresh tasting, a great selection of oysters on the half shell. Try the CAT 5 Hurricane cocktail! You’ll appreciate that this restaurant appreciates sustainability with recycled made to-go and climate friendly straws. I’m also a big fan of any restaurant that allows for wait times to be quoted by Google calling out on your behalf! The Lobster Mac’N’Cheese was top rated, what I would like to see was a breadcrumb crust but the cheese blend made up for it!

Really surprised by how good all the food was. The service was amazing, but the ambiance was off. The inside is like a cheap fast food place, yet the food and drinks were top notch. I'll never understand why restaurants make the effort to serve great food, drink and service, yet the actual brick and mortar is bare bones. They should really up there game in decor and ambiance ..... they could probably even charge more for everything, if the actual physical place was nicer. We will be back, but going in shorts and a tee shirt, next time.

I love a good fish sandwich so when I saw the Friday lunch special is a fried cod sandwich with fries for $10 I had to try it. I came early, around 11:30, because traffic on South Blvd has been awful with all the construction going on. Service was confusing. I sat at the bar and three different employees looked me in eye and greeted me but none of them stopped to take my order. I had to flag someone down and ask if I could order. Food took about ten minutes to come out. It was pretty good. I tried a bite of the fish without the bun and condiments and it didn’t have much flavor. The portion size of the fries is pretty big.

Well if you can’t tell by the picture the oysters raw were fantastic. The seafood is fresh and we have made this a regular stop in our circle of restaurants we enjoy in Charlotte. We always eat outside on the second floor deck. If your lucky you can find a seat at the bar.

Got there and sat upstairs at the rooftop. Once we were sat by the hostess nobody spoke to us for 20 minutes. We had to go to the bar and ask the bartender for service and to get water. We ordered 2 drinks and after waiting 20 minutes we only got one drink and the other never came. The server for upstairs was not going around and checking on anyone because there were multiple people around us waiting and saying they need to speak to a manager. Not once did the waitress say a word to us while we were there. Food took 40 minutes to come out and thankfully it was good. Service was basically nonexistent.

Stopped here for lunch with my wife. I had the fish and chips. The fish was pretty good but the chips were cold and greasy. Portion size was mediocre. My wife said her meal wad just meh - not much flavor. She barely ate a third of it and was ready to leave. Definitely not worth the cost. As far as service, the hostess was maybe new there - she seemed a little lost. But the waitress was on point and very attentive. Food arrived quicker than expected but, again, not great and the chips cold. Not much to say about the atmosphere - sort of a fast casual joint. Not a terribly bad place but I won't be coming back.

I can’t believe it took us that long to try out the Waterman Fish Bar. We enjoyed an evening with cocktails and food on the rooftop patio. It probably has one of the best views of Charlotte, the pictures and videos doesn’t do it justice. The chicken sandwich, fried calamari and mussels were awesome. Even if you don’t like seafood there is a meal for you. They also have weekly specials, so definitely give them a follow on Instagram to stay up to date. This was not our last visit.

The food is average; the seasoning on the pasta was too strong, overpowering the natural flavors of the ingredients. However, the portion size was quite generous, with seafood making up a quarter of the pasta dish. When I went to pick up my order and returned to my car, I realized they hadn't included the drink, so I had to go back. After that, I discovered there were no utensils provided, and I didn't bother to return for them. If you're taking out, please make sure to check that your order is complete. The restaurant environment seemed nice, but as I had takeout, I couldn't really enjoy the ambiance.

THE VIBESSS!! The music at night was everything. Such an experience. It was like having a meal and a night out at a lounge all in one. The ambiance was definitely there. The food was good! The drinks were amazing!! We ended up staying and hanging out for 4 hours and LET ME TELL YOU…. It didn’t feel like it at all. We were not rushed at all and the service remained the same from the time we got there to the time we left! The only thing I would have to complain about is the bathroom. For how nice of a restaurant it was, it was dirty and not kept up. But I will say it could’ve been the amount of traffic in and out of one bathroom that was shared between men and women.

After months of waiting- I finally went to try this place! The upstairs was nice and they play great music. We ordered 2 watermelon slushies and they were terrible! I picked 6 oysters (very small) and the lobster shrimp canoes which were bland. The server was training and we were ignored so we had to flag someone down to order and close out. I was genuinely so excited to try this place but in just 35 minutes we had a $65 tab for 2 drinks and 2 apps. I would not recommend this place, or go back. I hate we wasted our “date night” with such disappointment across the board.

This was my first time at Waterman and it did not disappoint . My first taste of raw oysters will forever be remembered at this location because the servers knew the right pairings of sauces to go with it. The cocktails are divine, and the food leaves you wanting more especially the clam chowder. So many firsts for me that were well worth the wait. Will definitely be returning with friends and family!

What a great spot for seafood. We sat on the rooftop flat on a beautiful night and had a feast. The mussels and oysters were delicious. My party loved the herbaceous sauce on the fresh oyster selection. They had 2 ocean, 3 bay, and 3 river oysters. We tried the sea ones initially before switching to chargrilled. The food was seasoned to perfection especiallymy favoritethe grilled blackened shrimp. I would suggest any of the seafood here. Great quality.

Being a seafood lover, this is my go-to place when I have a craving. It's a nice comfortable relax setting, so come as you are perfect for kids too. I love that do happy hours from 2-7pm during the week with NC oysters. Yummy! We tried some from Maine as well, really fat, sweet, and juicy. I was getting the platters a little of everything. Staff is always friendly. Plus, they have great drinks. This was my first time trying some Hennessey it was good. So, order a Smooth Hennesea to enjoy while you eat. Oh. Yea, they do have parking space very ware on south Blvd now a day. Follow me @chapmansvantagepoint on Instagram

It's hard for me to describe how much I love everything about this restaurant. There is always consistency in the quality of the food. We are very pleased with the service we receive. There is always a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good meal. Our usual place to visit is the Southend location. Although we have yet to visit the new location, we are looking forward to it. The entire team deserves a shout-out for their hard work and dedication. You are doing a great job. Keep it up.

I went here last Friday for lunch and sat up top at the recommendation of someone that lives in town. They had a good selection of cocktails, I went with their version of a dark and shady. I liked how you can try as little as one or as many as like of their raw oysters. I tried pretty much everyone they had that day and their NC was the best and cheapest out of the bunch. I also tried the grilled oysters which were awesome as an appetizer and then tried the Friday special (fried fish sandwich). Everything I had was tasty. The views were nice of the downtown area in the distance. I would definitely go back to this place again the next time I’m in town.

Love the Waterman Fish bar in Charlotte North Carolina. It had really good ambience and they have a really fantastic menu. I had the $1.50 oyster special. The oysters were a little salty but were still delicious. I also had the nachos and added the blackened shrimp. They were really crispy and had a great salsa on them. I also had a side of mac & cheese that had multiple cheeses & a crispy top. I would definitely order that again. They also make a really great dirty martini. The service was incredible as well. We were always taken care of. I’ll definitely go back!

Today our son treated us to lunch at "The Waterman" the server was nice but the food was terrible. My husband and I ordered The Waterman Platter (seafood: flounder, oyster, shrimp) all of it was fried in old grease and fried to hard. you couldn't recognize the oysters or the flounder. They served room temperature water with no ice. inexperienced cooks. I will pass and I suggest you do the same.

4.5 stars. The flies ran us out! GO to the restaurant, though, just sit outside or NOTin the sunny corner indoors :-/. We moved outside and had no further problems. I took a photo of their promise of superior service because when we walked in, everyone who walked by spoke to us. It continued :-) Great customer service is a dying art. Amazing food!! Amazing atmosphere! Amazing Service from Chad upstairs on the rooftop! Super happy with everything here. I got a cold and hot lobster roll. I got slaw also. I actually took half my hot lobster roll home and had the entire cold lobster wrapped to go. I loved how the hot lobster roll was toasted. It’s a lot of lobster and tastes very fresh. Also the rooftop has fans everywhere so it’s a few nice breeze up there. You can see uptown! Down side was the construction noise. It was loud at one point. You don’t even have to go inside to get to the top. Stairs outside and covered if it rains. Would I go back here? Yep!

This restaurant is simply amazing!!! We ordered a lot of food because we couldn't decide..everything sounded great on the menu. We also saw all the amazing looking dishes that was brought to tables around us. All the seafood was so fresh. The blackened catfish, scallops & shrimp was delicious!! Lobster Mac N Cheese was very flavorful and creamy. The rooftop seating was nice!! The metal stools get a little uncomfortable after a while....the frozen watermelon drink was refreshing. Overall I give this place a 10!!!! P.s. I went back the next day..lol

I truly enjoyed my dining experiences at The Waterman Fish Bar. I have now been twice, and each time, my food was superb. The Loster Mac and Cheese and the Hush Puppies are my absolute favorite. Food is always great. Not too crazy about the cocktails. The ceviche is amazing, and so is the chowder. Lunch specials are amazing and offer great variety. Unfortunately the service seems to vary based on on where you’re sitting (bar, rooftop, or downstairs restaurant space), but is typically quick and friendly.

This was my second time visiting here, and I was very impressed this second go around. The calamari, blackened seafood platter, and the GUMBO, OMG! All were extremely satisfying. The gumbo is one of the best I’ve had. Mimosas are $3 on Sunday but they don’t give you a lot so I ended up ordering 2. The strawberry martini is very strong but I liked it! I ordered it the last visit. The first time I went here, I ordered the NC Trout and it was not the best... I would recommend everyone try this restaurant. It is in Southend. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant so it was easy to access.

Fried oysters were chewy and one contained a LARGE piece of oyster shell still attached! This is a choking hazard! I have to assume the oysters arrived frozen because I have never had one so bad before. The fries were packed in a foil bag, so obviously they were soggy up on arrival. Not a smart decision to pack in such a manner. The slaw was literally just cabbage in a container; maybe a dash of vinegar in there. The nachos were actually really good; that's the only reason this wasn't a one-star review. Highly overpriced considering the poor quality.

We have always been fans of this place. We were there when they first opened. But now it seems to have gone down. The food is still very good but several orders were wrong. We asked for silverware before our food came but it took 2 more requests after our meals came before we finally got some. I could possibly understand if it was busy but we were the only table downstairs. We were very disappointed to have so many issues from one of our favorites. I still rated 4 stars because I’m rooting for them to get it fixed.

I have mixed feelings about this experience. This was my first time here and the idea to go here was better in my head. The reality is that this concept of a "trendy mid-town seafood restaurant" kind of misses the mark. Food is decent, but a little over priced for what it is, however it was the service that made us feel like we were distracting them from their "social hour". Our server was slow or not present, had to ask others for items or go to the bar. Probably will be a while before I try this place again.

Great addition to the South End scene. The recipes are amazing, and they just started $1 Oyster happy hour specials. Yum! Trout pate appetizer was some of the best I’ve had. Shrimp tacos served on scallion pancakes are another winner. And the local oysters are big and fresh and liquory. Prices are not low, but not terrible. My only complaint was looking through the (purposefully) deconstructed walls at the storage area and bathrooms. Why are there bare 2 by 4’s in this otherwise great place? Dunno. I just kept my eyes on the gorgeous oysters and my cute date. :-)

Our waitresses were wonderful and so were the drinks. But with the food, we were a little disappointed. The lobster Mac and cheese was $34 and had the tiniest amount of lobster in it. The lobster was also extremely over cooked. I requested a side of bacon (non-crispy) to come with my brunch order. The waitress informed me that the kitchen is unable to do that because the kitchen cooks up a large amount of bacon in the morning before opening and then heats it up for the meals… other than that, the food was OK.

The food was phenomenal! We had the happy hour oysters, muscles, the blackened seafood plate, clam chowder and the Cesar salad. Looking at the Cesar salad I didn’t think much of it but it was one of my favorite things. We will be back soon. Josh helped us tonight and he was busy but did great, food came out fast & hot. We made a reservation, arrived early and were still seated immediately on a Monday Night.

First time here and really enjoyed it! Server was the best! Red Queen drink was the bomb! We enjoyed Calamari cooked just right with two types of sauces, both were good. Lobster Mac and cheese was great but not quite worth $34. Fish tacos and shrimp appetizer was great also. Vibe was nice. Small venue but cute and they have a rooftop bar! I will return.

My second time here and I knew I had to leave a 5 star review. Seated immediately with great service. We got the fried calamari and grilled oysters as apps and they were phenomenal. I had the sea scallops entree and my wife had the lobster Mac and cheese which comes with a whole lobster tail. They were both excellent and we will be back!

This is a sister company with Sea Level down town. We absolutely loved this place. So easy to find the parking lot is very crowded. It didn’t take long for us to get seated on a Wednesday night. As soon we got seated it did take a little while for a waitress to come over but once she did the food and drinks were rolling. I don’t have one complaint the service was amazing they put the team in team work. The food was so scrumptious omg I was in heaven. My husband said we will be here every week. Can’t wait to come back

Not too shabby. Great experience & good customer service. Went in for the oyster special for the evening still spent a pretty penny but was well worth it. Be prepared to eat some delicious seafood but expect to spend $40-50 per person with drinks. The upstairs bar is very nice to hang out with a small group of friends

The Waterman Fish Bar was absolutely an amazing little seafood spot in the heart of South End. Every dish and specialty cocktails were absolutely amazing expect very salty and forgettable Chargrill Oysters. Other than that; the atmosphere is very intimate and perfect for a night out, date night, dinner alone, etc with a good meal. I would definitely recommend visiting this location if you're near by.

I love their diverse menu selection. The food came out hot, fresh and most importantly delicious. Our waitress Paulina was a doll! (: The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. It was our first time there last night and made it just in time before oyster happy hour was over. The oysters were fresh and did not disappoint! We will be coming back for more of that yummy hardy clam chowder and to try their lobster rolls/drink menu. Overall, great place for family dinner or date night!

Visiting Charlotte, we tried this place out, let me say I need one in my home town! The food and drinks were amazing! We were there during brunch, but sat around drinking and eating salmon canoes that we missed brunch, so now I need come back. We did have the Hot chicken sandwhich(amazing) gumbo (delicious) and nachos with added chicken( tasty AF). Did I mention the great drinks? If you like Bourbon they have a very nice selection with great pour prices!

  • Yu-Hsien Ho

We got here at prime time 630pm on a friday, and luckily there was a table for us right away. But the place was packed! Which is always good at a seafood restaurant. Great deal on the oysters for happy hour. Drink service was a ok as it was pretty busy. Food came out pretty quickly. The riceball app was pretty good. The shrimp po boy was delicious. Fried shrimp was seasoned well and the sauce in the bun was pretty good. Good drink selection. Would recommend.

  • Crys B.

When I tell you I LOVE this place! Food always on point. The chargrilled oysters.... Bussin..Bussin... The lobsterRolls... BUSSIN..... the lobster Mac n cheese.... AMAZING!!! The lobster Mac is big enough to share! The customer service.. .. Always on point! Best time to go is first thing Saturday morning when they open up at 11.. I promise you won't regret it. I don't even eat oysters but the chargrilled ones are to die for!!! I put that on my MAMA!!

First time here. Ordered online for curbside pick up. Once you get there just park in one of the designated curb side pick up parking spots and call the number on the sign and they will bring your order out to you. Our order came out in no time. We ordered 2 dozen raw oysters. The oysters were good, but they were really small. They did have a nice flavor to them. I don't know what kind they were. We will be back to try other things on the menu.

  • Reginald Carpenter

I've been here plenty of times for oyster happy hour or food and drinks on the rooftop. I definitely recommend this restaurant for those who are looking for good seafood in the area. The last time I went, l had oysters and gumbo. Both were good. I've had the grilled trout with dirty rice. Their dirty rice is awesome but a little on the spicy side. The cocktails are good there, too.

I loved the ambiance of this restaurant, It was late so I didn't get to sit outside but looking forward to that my next visit. Had an awesome date night on the rooftop bar with my husband! Got the salmon canoes, fish and chips, and blackened seafood platter. Had the Cat 5 to drink along with some other beers. Everything was excellent, and the view was great! Even though it was a little chilly (50° and windy) the heaters were perfect! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great seafood place with a cool atmosphere!

Bae and I went to this spot for lunch! The fish/gravy/rice was robust with flavor. I like it, but bae said it was a bit much. I had the warm lobster roll, and let me tell you, they did not skimp on the lobster. It was not seasoned as much as I thought it would, but I went right home, doctored it up with some old bay, and it was on and popping!

Great food! First outing in COVID times and it was great. The place is clean and the food was really good. The fish was cooked perfectly and the drinks were spot on! Try the Nautical Mule and Tequila Hummingbird - very well balanced. We decide to endulge in desserts and you should to; the pecan bar and larceny bourbon cake are exquisite. Definitely a treat this has been!

  • Tom Pop

Shrimp and fish taco were good with scallion pancake tortillas. Fries were very good. Oysters were ok and presented nicely. However, we weren't happy about ordering steamed oysters (for my pregnant wife) as they are not part of the $1 happy hour and I had to shuck them myself. Rocksalt lets you pick your oysters raw or steamed and preshucked and maintain the same price.

Best shrimp po boy I’ve ever had in my life!!! Seriously! And that includes any I’ve tried in New Orleans! Soft bread, tangy pickles, breading on shrimp was flavorful, waterman sauce was tangy. So much flavor! Fries were nicely seasoned; practically as good as it gets. Chocolate in a jar was a bomb dessert choice. Excellent service! Will return and highly recommend!

I was disappointed in the staff. My waitress was knowledgeable about the oysters, however they were paper thin. The punch was delicious, and probably the best drink on the menu. Great oysters good drinks great location love the rooftop. Service is slow not great. The clam chowder is amazing so are the hush puppies. Shrimp tacos hardly had any shrimp and was told they were a good portion they weren't, they were tiny. Gumbo was good though. They stay busy so rsvp.

The overall experience was great... friendly staff, most of the dishes were pretty tasty. My only complaint is that the blackened fish had small bones(yes its fish, but no warning about it)..I would recommend eating here due to the fact that it's a great brunch spot!
