We went for the 5 pin bowling as a family the other day. The bowling alley was not booked during the time that we were there, so we had the whole bowling alley to ourselves. It made the experience comfortable & feel private. The server we had at The 56 Restaurant & Lounge was amazing, she provided excellent customer service!! We ordered some chicken wings which comes in various flavours that were nicely flavoured & seasoned. The honey garlic tasted from scratch & not generic, the dry rub Creole seasoning was simple but perfectly crispy!

I am SO extremely thankful for Noelle and the rest of the 56 Lounge staff for helping to make my son's birthday come together. We had to make a last minute change and Noelle was so accommodating and friendly. From helping us get bowling set up and helping us feed 10 tired and hungry little kids - I cannot tell you how grateful I am. Every single request we made was met with such kindness! We loved every minute of it - a huge shout out to the staff.

This place is a secret, so keep this under your hat. The 56 Restaurant and Lounge, located in the THCA, is hands down the best bar experience in calgary. You want community atmosphere? They got it? You want great service, food, prices and fun? This is the place. They have pool, darts and while they only have four bowling lanes, it is hands down the best experience I've ever had bowling. I dont even like to drink. That's how much I enjoy this place.

We avail the opportunity of community's clean up. It was no doubt a good deed on the part of city of Calgary and the community center. These kind of facilities should be frequent to ease the people after being heavy property taxed and home owner associations charges. The local governments are more inclined to taxes without any considerations of hardship the people are facing and have limited thinking to provide due facilities.

Thorncliffe Greenview community center is a great place to go. More then just a hockey rink with great seating at over head heaters that work awesome keeping you warn well you are cheering on your favorite hockey team. It also has a super cool bar down stairs where you can grab a bite to eat and a beer or juice depending on age lol well playing a game of pool or bowling in there little ally next to the bar.

Had a retirement party for one of our work family in the sports lounge. The staff had made sure we had lots of room and there was plenty of staff. The lounge is clean, warm and inviting. It's seldom you see that many staff where every single one of them is so friendly, personable and efficient. The event was, of course, a happy one and staff helped take it up a notch. Thank-you!

Absolutely love this playground! The kids and adults all had fun. I really like they have a baby zipline which is super safe for younger kids. This place has a lot to offer: multiple slides, swings, ziplines, musical elements picnic tables, etc...just watch your step on because the bumpy Caterpillar on the floor may trip you over next to the triple slides. Have fun!

Hosted our child's birthday party in the bowling alley here. All 16 kids had a great time, and the venue host was friendly and helpful with every question and request we had. Food provided was tasty and hot. While the lanes aren't new by any means, the price to rent all four lanes for two hours was very reasonable. Would come back in future for sure.

A great community centre with lots of recreational facilities for relaxation, entertainment and pleasure. We had a socio-cultural gala celebration and night here and it was just the fitting venue. Lots of parking multiple entrance. They have a restaurant, different arena for sports, toilet, Kitchen, board room and small meeting place.

I just hosted my wedding AND reception here on August 20th. I have to say the staff that work here are very generous, helpful and kind! I would definitely recommend the Thorncliffe Room to anyone looking to host a large reception and/or ceremony for a reasonable price! Very happy! Thanks again all TGCA staff and admin!

This review is for the Arena. Dressing rooms are big enough to fit 15 men. Showers are hot. Rink staff are great! The ice is kept up pretty well. They have a guy who sharpens skates but I couldn't tell you how often he is there. Lots of parking is available as long as there aren't any events at the community center.

I had my wedding reception here and could not be happier! Everything was fantastic. Wendy (food and Bev manager) was spectacular and very accommodating. She made sure everything was perfect and helped with last minute requests. The staff was lovely and the food was great. Highly recommended for an event rental!

Food is super affordable but quality takes a hit as a result. Service was really good and if you play darts or shoot pool you may have to wrestle some seniors for a spot. Weird entry into the restaurant as well, you have to enter from the side down a dark staircase. I’d probably go back if I was in the area.

We had our kids birthday here at the bowling alley. It's perfect for the kids to throw some balls down the lane. The pizza was delicious! Then the playground outside is pretty cool with certain things I've never seen at a playground before, in taking about a 4 person teeter totter.

I think they’re having financial issues as they turned the heat off in the arena. I only looked at one radiant tube heater and the electrical plug was pulled. It’s -30C outside and there is ice on the walls. Maybe they need to do some fundraising or apply for grants or ?? …

The Christmas party is a hit! We have been attending for more than 5 years. It is a great time to dance with the kids and enjoy a Christmas dinner. It is lovely. I can't recommend this time more. You have to buy tickets in advence.

Great bar, fun bowling alley, pool table. They have great deals at the pub for after you skate, bowl, play racket ball or whatever it is you’re doing. Highly recommend for families or for a quick beer and steak sandwich.

The kids love the bowling alley at club 56, some shoes need replacing...so you'll need to find a good pair. food is also first rate, had one of the best clubhouse sandwiches and fries, deep fried pickles are a treat.

  • Dominic Brazil

This is a great rink. Seems old but lobby is nice. Bathrooms are clean and the spectator area has nice bucket seats. Great view from the stands - rink is bright and the glass has hardly any viewing obstructions.

  • Curtis Cole

Good lunch specials! A great neighbourhood pub conveniently located in a community centre. Bowling, pool tables, darts, sports on tv... The most noticeable difference is how much lower their prices are!

The arena seating is good but it would have been nice if the heaters worked on the visitors side as well as the home team!
