Had a great experience w/Dr. Shirley Baker and staff! Was a bit apprehensive, as this was my first time to Mexico, in addition to choosing a dentist in Tijuana. I had put off getting my teeth fixed for a long time, knowing it was going to cost me more than I could afford. But when Dr. Baker provided me with a detailed written estimate based on xrays from my dentist in Bellingham, Wa, it helped me decide to go to her clinic. Compared to three other estimates I got from other Tijuana clinics, her office provided the most detail and their communication with me was excellent. Their office coordinater, Craig, picked me up at San Diego Airport as expected, and drove me across the border without any problems. Dr. Baker and staff started my dental work immediately on my arrival, without any surprises. I felt very comfortable with everything right away and was reassured by Dr. Baker's and the staff's level of professional confidence and experience. A driver brought me to my hotel, the Tijuana Grand, on Agua Caliente about 10 minutes away from the office. The neighborhoods immediately around my hotel and the clinic were very walkable and safe with great restaurants and street food. I especially loved El Rodeo, which was near my hotel. It has been there since 1972, looks like a set from Bonanza, and surprised me with the best food of the whole trip! Transportation to and from every appointment was provided for me, mostly by the same driver named Ramon. He was very friendly and helpful! After my stay of 6 days in Tijuana, Craig took me back across the border in plenty of time to catch my flight home. I had two molar root canals with build-ups and temporary crowns, five restorative fillings, a cleaning and polishing, and two permanent crowns to replace the temporary ones, put in on my last day in TJ. I never experienced any pain, didn't even need to take a Tylenol, which seemed like a miracle in itself. All of that work cost me just over $3,000, which was about $9,000 less than the estimate from my dentist in Washington state. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Baker and everyone there. Traveling to Tijuana for my dental work and choosing this clinic ended up being one of the best decisions I've ever made! This wasn’t just a dentist appointment for some dental work; this appointment was going to change my life. I’ve had bad teeth my whole life and haven’t had a decent smile in over 20 years. My father recently passed away and he left me enough to get my teeth fixed in Mexico. I knew nothing about dentist in Mexico so I started reading online and came across Dr. Shirley Baker, I looked at her work and reviews and decided to leave a message. The next day Craig, her awesome assistant, called explained everything. Told me how many days we’d (My boyfriend and I) need to be there, called the hotel and booked our room, what to expect when we arrived and picked us up from the airport. We arrived at the office and it was straight to business. Dr. Baker did her assessment, x-rays and molds, the initial appointment is short and to the point. She prints you a paper with the work and the price so you know exactly what you are paying for. I was supposed to have more work than I paid for so I’m waiting to see if I get my money refunded. She accepts cash app and Venmo so be sure to have your limits raised because she offers a discount. The second day work begins, I had a root canal, an extraction, and 23 crowns put in, my boyfriend had a root canal, a crown and a deep deep cleaning. Our smiles are beautiful, it had been so long since I smiled naturally I’ve forgotten how but I haven’t stopped practicing! If you get a lot of crowns make sure your mouth isn’t asleep when she aligns your bite, my mouth was and I couldn’t tell and now the dentist here want $500 to fix it. This whole experience made me nervous but Dr. Baker and her team did EVERYTHING in their power to make me calm from the moment we were picked up till we were dropped off. The hotel was right next to the office and the workers are fabulous but there wasn’t a ton to do for 8 days. Pool would have been awesome, I wasn’t in the office as much as I thought I’d be and the tv is in Spanish. I highly recommend Dr. Baker and her team, as a matter of fact I recommended her before I got back to the states. There’s nothing like having a beautiful confident smile!!! Also Dr. Baker dresses so delightfully it was fun seeing some of shoe collection.

Dr. Baker is amazing! She saved my teeth while saving me $25,500. The prosthodontist in Las Vegas wanted to pull all my teeth and replace them with "All-on-4's"; these are basically permanent dentures that they call implants. Dr. Baker quoted me $18,490 and is replacing just 4 teeth that had failing root canals, adding 2 implants I already needed, plus giving me a mouthful of crowns to make my smile look better. For less than 1/2 the price, I was able to save my teeth and make them better and stronger! I could have chosen the All-on 4 for 1/2 the cost of the LV doctor, but my choice was to follow Dr. Baker's advice and improve my own teeth - an option the LV doctor wouldn't give me. I was a little scared going to Tijuana by myself. It was so simple - Dr. Baker sent her driver to pick me up at the border, just 30 minutes south of San Diego. 2 hours later, I left with the hard part completed. I come back to get the crowns in 90 days. My experience was nearly pain-free. It's hard to put your trust in a stranger when it comes to surgery, but it was easy to trust Dr. Baker - it was obvious she was on my side, and wanted to do the right thing by protecting what I already had and making it better. Her staff was great. The entire experience was nearly stress free. I was dreading the pain after the numbness wore off, but just as the doctor said, it never came! I look forward to my next visit. And when can you ever say that about a dental appointment?!

Dr. Baker did veneers for me on 12 teeth, six on top and six on the bottom so all the teeth you can see when I talk or smile are perfect! I had three teeth bottom front that were taller than the others and also leaning into one another so there were large gaps you could see when I talked. Gone! For the first time in my life I have perfect, straight teeth. Dr Baker wisely advised me not to go with snow white teeth which would look fake and the color of white they are now is perfect. Dr. Baker will now be my regular doctor for cleaning and routine dentistry. Getting to the office is a breeze. Park on the USA side of the border, park near the trolley (I live near the trolley so I don't even need the car), walk across and go through customs and Manny, their driver, will pick you up and take you straight to the office. This procedure would have been way too expensive with a US dentist and if you still are worried, Dr. Baker went to school at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She and her staff speak English and they have a US phone line. Get the teeth you have always wanted at a price you can afford!

My husband John Wright and I are very pleased with Dr. Baker, her staff and Daniella. Daniella is Dr. Baker's assistant, she is a whirlwind of activity, whether it be assisting Dr. Baker, scheduling and confirming appointments and answering any additional questions. The US Dr. gave us an estimate of $4,300 and we were able to get John's work done for $1,950 and saved $2,300. Dr. Baker and her staff easily communicate in "plain" English. The qualify of John's dental work was excellent. On one of our visits there was a couple that came from Kona, Hawaii for dental treatment. She told me their US doctor estimated their dental work at $27,000, and they were paying $8,000! Years ago I had learned that "Snow Birds" came to Mexico for their dental and medical/prescriptions years ago. My skepticism about seeking dental work in Mexico melted away Truly a great experience and value, we have recommended Dr. Baker to everyone we know. Our neighbors are planning to get their dental work done by Dr. Baker. Lastly, Dr. Baker's offer of a taxi (at Dr. Baker's expense) to her office made the trip easy and convenient.

I found Dr. Baker after researching various options for dental implants. Although I have excellent dentists where I live in Northern California, my insurance doesn't cover implants and I saw that as a good possible long term solution for the dental issues I was experiencing. I researched numerous dentists in various states and in 3 different countries outside the US. After interviewing several Dentists, I chose Dr. Baker. I was very impressed with her knowledge regarding implants. My treatment involved extractions, several bone grafts, two sinus lifts and numerous implants. It took several appointments with both her and her oral surgeon Dr. Cisena. It was a long and involved process with some bumps along the way, but the skill and attentiveness from the doctors and staff took care of all my needs. Even after adding in travel expenses, the total cost of my treatment plan was just under 1/3 of the cost I was quoted for the work here locally. I highly recommend this office for anyone needing extensive dental work.

I have needed extensive dental work completed for some time and had been apprehensive to travel outside the US, but due to the the multiple quotes I recieved from dentists and even a dental school were much more than I could afford even with financing. I searched multiple websites for Tijuana dentists who specialize in "makeovers " and was impressed immediately with Dr. Baker's website and the quick and constant communication with her staff (Veronica is amazing) to set up the appt., give precise directions to meet the driver and especially talking through all the options about my teeth. Even before or during a procedure I can ask her questions and she is very thorough and reassuring. I am happy with the work completed so far by Dr. Baker and I have more work to be done but I have gotten so many compliments on my new smile I have brought my husband and my sister as referrals. I was terrified at the prospect of having my entire mouth reconstructed. Multiple dentists in the US quoted me $50,000 to $65,000. I have a lot of dental trauma and have never had local anesthetics really work for me. I spent three days having consults with all the major high-end clinics in Tijuana. I was immediately and consistently impressed with Dr. Baker. She did an amazing job, accommodated my rather inflexible work schedule, was unimaginably gentle and efficient. I had all 28 teeth crowned and couldn’t be happier with the results. She got the whole thing done in just 2 visits and I didn’t even need sedation. Her service is unquestionably the best and so are her prices. She was $3000 less than any other clinic in Tijuana and would never consider going anywhere else….and I live 400 miles away.

This is one of very few reviews I have ever written (positive or negative) for any company I have done business with. However, my experience and outcome was so amazing, I have to tell as many people as I can. From the first phone conversation to schedule, to the exam and consult, Dr. Baker made me feel very comfortable. She and her team were very knowledgeable and professional. I needed a lot of work with a small window of time to accomplish this enormous task. As soon as I said 'lets go', she rolled up her sleeves and went to work. When she was finished, my smile was better than I could have ever imagined (at a small fraction of what I would have paid in the US). I am so grateful for her and her entire team. Dr. Baker is amazing! She is very professional, detail oriented, patient, and sweet! Something about her presence makes you feel at peace and you automatically know you’re in good hands. Her team is attentive and make you feel well taken care of since the very beginning. I was recommended by two family members and I couldn’t be happier that I decided to get my dental work done with her. I flew in from NY for a short week and she scheduled everything perfectly so that everything was ready before I headed back home. The dental work she did was perfect and I cannot be any happier with my results! If I could give this dental office more than five stars I would. Like a lot of people, at first I was hesitant to get dental treatment across the border. I was looking for a smaller, yet more personal experience and I received that from Dr Baker and her team. The office was very clean and calming. I received the all on X dental procedure and I am very happy with the results. The entire experience was a pleasing one. From meeting with Manny (taxi driver), talking to Craig, and Dr Baker. I also liked that this was a family practice. I didn’t feel like I was just another number. I would highly recommend this clinic for any one looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable clinic.

Through the years my wife and I have had extensive (and expensive) dental work done by the top dentists in south Florida and San Diego. Then we fortunately met her almost 9 years ago and have been privileged to be taken care of by her ever since, and we have saved well over $10,000. The services I received from Dr. Baker included an extraction, bone graft and a new 8-tooth front bridge. I also received the zoom whitening treatment with very good results. She is the best dentist I've ever seen and this is by far the nicest looking bridge I've ever had for my front teeth. I could not be more pleased with her entire staff. Thank you Dr. Baker for saving my teeth! I came to Dr Baker with a lot of pain after having a bad crowns job done on my front teeth by another dentist in another clinic. Dr Baker was able to fix my teeth and properly set the new crowns. She uses American laboratories to make the crowns and the crowns are such better quality!! They feel so much nicer. She was able to mach the crowns to the shade and shape of my natural teeth! And I am smiling again!

Everything was flawless and better then expected. Had to cross border on foot with my passport and she had a driver that I met that took me to the office. He also picked me up after prescription was dropped off to me. Got in and out with a wisdom teeth removal. Nervous, she eased my nerves with how easy she made it. Got there at 10 was out by 11. I 100% recommend Dr. Shirley and I don’t write reviews often!

Dr. Baker and staff have always provided excellent and professional service to both my wife and myself. I have now moved from the area to the US midwest. I recently went to a dentist in the midwest in which they commented on how well the implants were done on me. Highly recommended! I have been going to this clinic for at least 5 years. I have had old work done by another dentist fixed here, I got other necessary work done. I also get regular cleanings here. Everything is always top notch, super clean, and pleasant! Good work for at least 1/2 of the cost in the US. Will keep coming here for as long as I can. Dr Baker is excellent!

Recently I had the great pleasure of having some dental work done by the awesome Dr. Baker .. I was not only extremely impressed by her professionalism but by her impressive work. As she works on you and you see her results ,you will be see that she id truly a world class dentist ! I even found out later, that she is a guest speaker at Ivy Leagude schools. I can see why!!

Dr. Shirley is amazing. I had small and cooked teeth and very yellow. I have wanted Veniers for a very long time, however my budget was tight. With some research I found Dr. Shirley. She has changed my life. My teeth are perfect and affordable, half the price as in the states. I get compliments often. I look so much younger. I highly recommend Dr. Shirley Baker.

Dr. Shirley Baker is an excellent dentist. She put in veneers for me and they are beautiful. Cross the border and her driver will pick you up and take you to her office. It's quiet and serene. When you are finished the driver will take you back to the border again. I saved so much money over American dentists I'll never go to anyone other than Dr. Baker.
