Worst experience ever. We came for our birthday dinner last night, last minute due to hot joy having an hour and 45 min wait time. There were 10 of us in the party, 6 adults and 4 kids, we showed up at 9:57, they closed at 11, so I can understand some discomfort in wanting to serve big party this late, and I wish you would have refused us service rather than make us waste your time and our money! This place has the worst service I have ever experienced. 1st someone from the kitchen area mentioned to customers near us that “They close at 11, but changed their open signed to closed at 10 because we walked in!” Not to mention we are a black family! Not sure if the “we,” was in reference to our color or the size of our party but that was EXTREMELY RUDE! I’m the birthday girl, my order was incorrect, my sisters cup had stains on it, my fathers order was incorrect, my daughter didn’t get her drink until asked for twice, my dad never got his drink, steak sauce, my friends order was incorrect, and we asked for 2 high chairs 3 times, and later found out we can have one! Not one staff member apologized when we mentioned it, just simply kept it moving. I will NEVER come back here, nor will I recommend this place to anyone. My family and I are HEAVY tippers when we go places that serve us correctly, this was the first time my father left no tip! We would have left after the first comment that was made in reference to our party, but we had small children who were hungry, and we’re from out of town!

Visiting from Phoenix so I had realistic expectations of Mexican food here in San Antonio. Found Tito’s through a recommendation and it was really good. The excellent and must have: Tortilla Soup. Could’ve had just this and would have been good. Chips and salsa. Salsa had a good amount of heat to it. The good: Ribeye tacos and cilantro cream enchiladas. Something unique I wanted to try. Overall, good but not great. Room for improvement: service was really slow for the restaurant not being busy. Had to constantly ask for refills. Waiters seem to not be communicating and working together. Overall, a gem that is away from the riverwalk hustle and bustle. Really good Mexican food that is somewhat comparable to Phoenix Mexican food. Definitely worth the visit exclusively for the tortilla soup. FYI, I asked the hotel staff for establishments that were worthwhile and they were kind enough to suggest places away from the busy Riverwalk.

Tito's Mexican Restaurant in South Town San Antonio is a place I absolutely adore, offering a delightful blend of Tex-Mex cuisine that masterfully combines the best of both worlds. The authenticity that they bring to every dish is simply outstanding. What sets them apart is their commitment to excellence, from the owner to the staff, all dedicated to delivering top-notch Mexican food. If you're looking for a taste of heaven, you must try their tortilla soup – it's a bowl of pure deliciousness. Tito's Mexican Restaurant is the epitome of Tex-Mex done right, and it's easily one of the finest spots in town to experience this mouthwatering fusion. I wholeheartedly recommend giving them a visit and savoring their exceptional offerings – you'll want everyone to try it!

Went during 30-minute lunch time. Ignored for some time. Assumed no wait staff. 3 men, which looked ragged of running the place. were doing it all. Taking orders, charging customers, and serving food that was not so presentable. Cleaning tables. Place crowded. Loud. You can't be heard. Lost my lunch time between ordering and getting a $20.00 and something burger that was falling apart, long time wait quickly put together with fries. The kitchen looked messy. Cook staff crazy going! with many orders. Place has gone down in over all quality. from when it first opened and it is too bad because they are in a historic touristic area. It is expensive for lousy food that is not great tasting and not presentable because standing at the register was the kitchen area, no doors, and I saw plates being served that were quickly thrown together. The men were not even dressed appropriately.

Complimentary nachos and salsa started off my meal. I enjoyed the slight kick of the salsa though the nacho chips tasted like it came from a Tostito’s bag. The raja con crema was heavy on the corn and light on peppers. It had a sharp tangy taste which I did not enjoy as much as I thought I would. My main, vegetarian enchilada, came with sides of Mexican rice and refried beans. I enjoyed this the most. It was tasty and filling. It was mostly stuffed with carrots though, I’d prefer to see more variety of vegetables. Both orders came with corn tortilla, which tasted homemade and was a nice accompaniment. I washed my meal down with a frozen peach margarita, which was run of the mill. Service was friendly and attentive, albeit a bit slow. I’m vegetarian for a couple of month for personal reasons but I’d definitely come back and try their non veggie plates in the future. Price was very reasonable.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Mexican restaurant, and it was an absolute delight. I ordered the carnitas tacos, and I have to say, they were the best I've ever had. The flavors were so authentic that it felt like I was at home with my mom's cooking. To accompany my meal, I enjoyed a delicious mango/Chamoy margarita that perfectly complemented the flavors of the food. However, my absolute favorite part of the meal had to be the chips and salsa. They were incredibly fresh and flavorful, and I couldn't stop munching on them. I can't wait to return to this restaurant again and again. In fact, I'm convinced they'll need to reserve a bench just for me because I'll be a regular for sure! Hahaha."

May have been an off day for service, but that still doesn't detract from my 5 star review, which is one of under 10 that I've ever given.. Until now the best fajitas I've ever had was at Lupe Tortilla (I swear they marinate their meat in Crack, but it's not the best quality beef), but Tito's is now my favorite place for fajitas. Their beef has both amazing flavor and great quality (tastes like USDA choice or higher). The drinks were great, the atmosphere inside and the waiters were friendly (not ours on this day, but everyone has off days). Now I'm going to have to drive to San Antonio whenever I want fajitas

Place was very warm inside, would benefit from fans on the main restaurant side. Only one restroom for the entire restaurant. Service was ok, our waiter never really checked on us but due to the size of our party we were automatically charged 20% gratuity. Bar tender was rude when we asked for waters while also planning to order drinks for the adults, we were told “too busy for water” to a paying customer. We had a thirty minute wait so we were trying to get drinks for everyone while we waited, that’s didn’t matter so we got waters from a dive bar and they kindly provided upon request. Food was decent for the price.

I had the New Mexico enchiladas with rice, beans, unsweet tea, chips/salsa/queso flameado. It was all delicious, and I'll definitely be going back. My preference is charro beans over refried beans, but I can ask for that next time. The only downside is the parking...it's a very small lot behind the restaurant and it's easy to get blocked in. It's better to park along the road, but keep in mind the other shops and restaurants on the same street, so it can get really crowded and be difficult to find parking.

First time dining at Tito's. The wife and I had lunch there today. My wife ordered Sopes, something I was not familiar with and did not taste but the wife said it was very good. I always stick with what I am familiar with so I had the Mexican plate. It came with one enchilada a rolled chicken taco, a crispy meat taco and of course rice and beans. My main interest in ordering this plate was to taste their enchilada meat sauce and it did not disappoint and neither did the rest of the items on the plate, that I left clean. In short, you need to check this place out, it is well worth your time.

Honestly I don't know if it was because "dia de los muertos" fest was going on or what but it took an hour and 15 minutes to get our food from the time we ordered.... AND NO ONE WAS APOLOGETIC ABOUT IT.....the nachos were cold the burgers were over cooked, my daughter even claims hers eas burnt but my albondigas were great!!! We had to get up to get our own drinks at the bar AND they GRATTED US even though we asked for two separate checks (2 families of 4). Not sure I'll be back....and honestly if this is the norm, I don't think you should go there either....

If you are looking for a fancy patio, overpriced margaritas and mediocre Mexican food, this is not the place for you! We’ve been looking for a spot with reasonable prices and good food, drinks (w/a full bar)since Tilo Tex Mex closed down and we finally found it! Tito’s is outstanding! We had mole enchiladas and tacos al carbon. Everything was so tasty! The entree, rice, beans and tortillas. The service was on point too! If I had to find something to fuss about it would be the music was too loud. I have a feeling Titos will become our regular go-to. Thank you for being you, Titos!

Best food AND service we've had in S.A. so far. Absolutely amazing food, holy cow. Anthony B was our waiter and he was awesome, def ask for him if you go!!!! He did not lead us astray on ANY of his recommendations. Some of the best salsa I've had in years. I legit want to go back tmrw before we leave town lol. The popsicles in the marg are random AF but SOOOOO good hahaha. Highly recommend the mini tacos al carbon AND the beef puffy taco. Omg so so so good.

Tito’s was so delicious I went for lunch and dinner on same day! I was only in town for a short time for work and I had the Asada Torta with fries for lunch which was so amazing I didn’t even have time to snap a photo! My colleagues got quesadillas and we were all so quiet because the food was so good we couldn’t stop eating to get two words in with each other. For dinner I tried the famous Piccadillo puffy tacos and wow wow wow! Even better than I expected. I already started eating before I took the photo but I’m sad I didn’t get the rice and beans with the Torta because they were so flavorful I could eat them by the pound.

I’m a nearby resident and this has become my go to bar and restaurant. Consistently the beast Dos Equis michelada in the neighborhood. Badass juevos rancheros to start the day and a killer grilled ribeye steak any time you’re ready. After a few visits bartender Robert knew my favorites and is making my michelada before I sit down. Owner Mark is a hands-on operator and regularly works shoulder to shoulder with his staff. Prices are very reasonable compared to local competitors. Great friendly service and food. I’ve gotta lotta love for this place. ❤️

First visit to this well known Southtown spot. We enjoyed it for sure and the enchiladas were hearty and flavorful. The bean & cheese nachos were messy and was underwhelmed by the lack of flavor. The mound of cheese hardened up quickly and the beans made the underlying chips very soggy. We will head back for a second time in the coming months. Prices for entrees are very customer friendly. Definitely worth a try if you haven't been.

Perfect place for local atmosphere and amazing food. I had the margarita and Cilantro Cream Enchiladas....and I honestly think I am ruined for any other dish. It was so tasty, the cream and cilantro were fresh and the chicken was moist. The tortillas were freshly made and the rice and beans couldn't be any better. My daughters and husband loved their meals as well. This is definitely a must if you are in the area! P.S. Jesus R was awesome!

Bums me out to leave a sub par review but I got to be honest! The Tex-Mex food was a little better than average but way way too expensive for what you receive! Service just flat out sucked! Food tastes similar to any taqueria or Tex-Mex restaurant. Not impressed. My meal was $16.00 and my friend purchased the unimpressive torta for $10 for lunch. You be the judge. (For $31 dollars - you can do much better. I promise!) Honestly, I believe you are paying for the location of the restaurant. Mehhh at best!

Delicious, fast, friendly are just a few ways to describe this place. It's located in a very nice side of town. King Williams district. I have passed by this place so many times because of the outside appearance. Huge mistake. This restaurant has a huge menu with some amazing items . It being my first time I went , I bunted and got a quesadilla. Next time I going to go for some of the San Antonio specials. Tito's has stuff for everyone. Rib eyes to hamburgers with all the Mexican food you can eat in the middle.

We went in and ordered 2 fajita plates and a carne guisada plate. Food was delicious. Flavorful, hot, and well portioned. It was really loud tho, almost overwhelming due to music being loud and customers yelling over music. Service was iffy, not Many waiters so constantly had to ask for refills, tortillas, and even silverware when we got there. Over all good food, loud, and needs a little work on help.

First place we stopped at while in San Antonio, and WOW! It was a pick me up we didn’t know we needed. We had two baskets of warm tortilla chips and salsa brought to us, he got a michelada and I got the lavender margarita, both of which were yummmm! His chicken fajita quesadilla was delicious and my mini tacos Al carbon really hit the spot. They even brought out some fresh cheese and avocado to put on them and I think we both cleaned our plates. Definitely a place to stop in if traveling like we were.

Food was GREAT and came out fast! Margaritas were awesome. The service, on the other hand, was far less than adequate. We waited a good 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged we sat down. We had to ask for refills on water. Salsa was not brought out with the chips. Super basic skills were missed. This level of service can destroy a restaurant. Sadly, we will not be back.

All we ordered…was a beef quesadilla…and 4 chicken tacos….bland. The corn tortillas were falling apart and the chicken was shredded and not seasoned. The meat on the quesadilla was not seasoned all u tasted was the cheese. Not to mention it was 4.50 for ONE taco….our total came out to around $41 and some change for unseasoned food. The salsa was delicious though.

Wandering down S. Alamo to see which place pulled me in, the Ice House almost got me, but Tito’s won out. Fabulous lavender margarita, even though it was not on the happy hour menu. I couldn’t decide between the spinach enchiladas and the hatch chile queso so Karry, my attentive server, suggested I have spinach enchiladas with hatch chile cheese on top. Omg! That was the perfect choice for me. The enchiladas were packed with spinach, onions and corn. Delish! The flour tortillas were the best ever! I’ll be back next time I’m in SA.

Food was great, drinks were fabulous service was horrible. Got water after 10 minutes, then chips, no salsa..then margaritas, then 20 minutes later, still no salsa. Someone at the entrance seating people had to have seen us looking for our wait person, but we were completely ignored. Got the food and salsa finally, all drink glasses sat completely empty for 20 minutes, unnoticed..finally got water refil and second drink. Will not go back or recommend.

Really good food. I went on the recommendation of some colleagues and was blown away by how good the Hatch chicken burrito I got was. It didn't look like anything special when it came to the table but the taste was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked large pieces of chicken and a great sauce on top really made the dish outstanding. I'm excited to come back and try some of the other food sometime.

This is the BEST Mexican food I’ve ever had! So fresh and authentic! Great service, cute little area, definitely family friendly. The bar area is also nice. Everything is good here. From the chips and salsa to the freshly homemade tortillas. I could honestly go on and on about this place. We had the mango margaritas, fijita nachos, deluxe plate, and Sopapillas. I’m telling you won’t regret coming here. The flavor and freshness. Mmmm mmm! Rosario‘s used to be my favorite place and now this one most definitely is!

First time...wow!! Had the Mole enchiladas, rice and refrieds. The Mole was excellent! Rich and deep flavors. Rice and beans were good, but of more "standard fare." Service was excellent, with my server, Robert, attentive and describing the available food fare. Really enjoyed the food. Oh, almost forgot, the salsa and chips were excellent, with the salsa smokey and just the right heat, and the chips fresh and crispy! Definitely will be back!!

Did a quick google search for “best margaritas” this place came up. The house margarita could of used a little more tequila, but it is a house marg on happy hour so I can not expect much. Love the Variety; Love the Ambiance; Love their willingness to Accommodate Large Groups; and Totally Enjoyed the Great Customer Service! Give them a try—they’re doing a lot of things right here! Was looking for a place to end the night after exploring the city and this was close by another place I wanted to check out (Cinaholics). It gets pretty busy but I think we walked in at a good time before the dinner rush started. The shrimp enchiladas were cooked to perfection and I really enjoyed the sauce also. Will definitely be returning

Been going to Tito's since 2006. Great food and selection. I love the area and how it has grown so much with so many restaurant options. Tito's is always a solid choice and you won't be disappointed.

Seat yourself location, food was ok, nothing to blow you away really. Cleanliness could be improved from plates used for apps to one of the servers hands (visibly dirty) bringing out the food. Pineapple Serrano Margarita was pretty spicy.

Great food! Walked here from the convention center when I was in town for a.... convention. Definitely worth the walk. Salsa was spicy and delicious. I ordered one of the sampler dishes and it did not disappoint. Wonderfully well done!

The relleno with shrimp and creamy poblano was one of the best dishes I've ever had. My wife ordered it and I'm glad she is willing to share. I had the mini tacos al pastor and they were fantastic too. Great chips and salsa. Busy and loud, bustling place. Everyone seemed to be enjoying it.

Very short on staff but very attentive to their customers. Food was very good. Their sopapillas are the BEST I have ever tasted. We will definitely visit again!!! Parking is an issue.

Worth the hike from the river walk - prices are much cheaper and crowds are more reasonable. Had great service and the food was pretty damn good (aside from potato in the puffy tacos... To go with the rice, and the tacos, and the beans... How fat do you think I am?). Recommended.

This place was fantastic! I was in town looking for some authentic Mexican cuisine, and I am so happy I came here. The chips and salsa they give you upon arrival is fresh and delicious! My server Norma was incredibly attentive and service is very quick!! I ordered my food, ate, and left within 30 min. Food is delicious!!!

We spent 1 day in San Antonio and searched online for somewhere for dinner. This place was such a good find. Staff were excellent, food was amazing and great value for money. Frozen margaritas were the best! They were also able to cater for a gluten free diner (they could substitute many dishes with corn tacos).

Great bar! Dining room was kind of dead compared to bar but nice. Nice menu too. Mango Chomoy margarita is interesting to try.

A nice place to hang out. To be at the bar or eat. It's a bit noisy, but that's how the gig is set up. My nachos were awesome

I had always wanted to try Tito's Mexican restaurant. I heard they had the best cheese enchiladas. Man! They did not disappoint. My plate was awesome. Very cheesy and I love that you get chips and salsa with your order. Unlike some of the other restaurants downtown. I will definitely be back.

Food is really good and plentiful. Free tortilla chips are light and crunchy, salsa is very good. I had tortilla soup. It was excellent, but a bowl of it was more than I could eat. It had lots of white meat chicken, avocado, white cheese, and a little cilantro.

Very family friendly with personable staff. We turned up at 6pm on Friday and the place was virtually full. Very nice meals and happy hour on beer until 7pm. Meals were delicious and reasonably priced.

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. The best thing I ate was the beans. It was so different and refreshing. I enjoyed every single bite. One of the best places to eat in the downtown area by far. Friendly waiter. The waiter was very personable. I WILL BE BACK AGAIN.

Food was awesome. Charro beans were really nice, had a great spice to them. The only downside is the flies I noticed when walking in, I think it could be related to how they have a door open but I’m not sure.

Very good local place for Mexican food. Had the Mexican plate and it was delicious. The showcase is the flour tortillas, I can just eat those as a meal.

Great vibes, great food, great cocktails. Take the $8 Uber ride the Riverwalk and come here for real Tex-Mex. Is it 5-star dining? No. Is it yummy authentic Mexican? Yes!
