Toscana is located in the busy and bustling Dame Street which is packed with restaurant's aplenty. One good thing with most eateries in Dublin is that they place the menu along with the prices right at the outside giving a glimpse of what to expect for the customers. I happened to see a two course meal for a price of about 20 Euros and decided to give it a shot. The rate looks quite a deal especially since most singular items themselves cost around the same and with this you get to try 2 items for more or less the same price. In the appetizer section, I went in for the Suppli which are basically Italian breaded rice balls in the form of a croquette. There were 4 of them and the plating was done up nicely with each of them given separate space and coming along with a garlic dip. The arborio rice inside stuffed with mozzarella tasted quite creamy and fresh. On the main course side of things checked out the Vegetarian Lasagne fare. This was pretty tantalising with cheese infused all over the plate surrounding the layered sheets of pasta which themselves were quite hard hitting and deliciously creamy comprising major portions of brocolli florets along with pomodoro, courgette, spinach and ricotta cheese. It would have been nice if there could have been a piece or two of garlic bread to additionally complement it but however the dish overall felt quite full fledged and nice on the tongue. The service was quite quick with hardly much waiting time. They were also quite sweet to check in regularly if things were fine. The rates in general seem a bit on the higher side but thankfully with this combo deal didn't really set back too much. The ambience is designed in the form of a pub and gives a laidback insouciant feel with dim lights and dark color pallette doing a tango. Overall a nice little eatery for craving Italian delicacies which has been serving customers right from 1999 onwards.

The atmosphere was a bit too loud due. To the busy at all times. Food as for the main course: penne entrecote, it was a mistake to add the cheese. Had a bite beforehand without any cheese and served without parmesan cheese which to be fair does not need it. the sauce was full of flavors and after giving it a shot with the parmesan cheese I knew after the first bite it was a mistake, the meat is tender and the chunks are big not small grinded pieces to the point you barely feel what you have. The pasta itself was made just right not too eldante not too soft. Portion wise Was worth the price of the dish. As for the dessert, a bit disappointed with the portion size as the price was worth a lil bigger portion. The presentation was fantastic on both the main course and dessert. As for the service very fast delivered the food from the time was ordered. Plus there are many waiters on call ready to help. Will recommend trying anything on their menu as for the pasta or any other dish you're used to having on it. if not served with something trust it the flavors won't disappoint you became what's served are well-picked and made with the best possible ingredient and seasoning

Enjoyed a three course meal. First timer so asked the waitress what to try. Choice was good but somehow i didnt like the quality of food. Starter - Suppli - Tried for the first time. Delicate and creamy. Loved the preparation. Main course - Pollo Limone - Failed my expectations. Chicken used could have been more tender or may haven't been cooked properly. Hard to chew and fibrous. Got chunks of salt - dont know if it was deliberate or the cook forgot to clean the chicken. Left bad taste in the mouth. Wont recommend. Dessert - Panna Cotta. Dessert was very good. No so sweet. Enjoyed the finish. Bailey's Coffee - a classic in itself, nothing can go wrong. Overall - lets be practical for a 40 Eur meal it didnt hate it but was expecting much more, good but lets try somewhere else.

I am satisfied of the food we ate. It was delicious and well cooked. However I have to point two things out: 1) despite making a reservation 1 week before, the table assigned to us was the worst one in the restaurant since it was in the basement, e.g. with no windows and fresh air, and it was very small to accommodate 5/6 people. It clearly means that the reservation I made 1 week earlier it was not really taken in consideration in the night, since all the best tables were already assigned to somebody else. Also, since one of us suffer a bit of claustrophobia, the basement was a big issue for us. 2) when one of us went to pay the bill, the waiter had already added 10% tips to the final price without asking if it was ok for us. I think the waiter should have asked if we wanted to give the tips.

The restaurant was quite impressive, with its tasteful design and attentive service from the friendly waitstaff. We ordered pizza and risotto from the menu, and while the pizza was slightly underwhelming due to a lack of cheese and a mediocre tomato sauce, the risotto and tiramisu were absolutely divine. The rich, creamy texture of the risotto paired perfectly with the savory notes of the ingredients, while the tiramisu was a delightful blend of coffee, cocoa, and mascarpone that tantalized the taste buds. Overall, we had an enjoyable dining experience at this establishment, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere and delicious Italian cuisine. Thank you to the restaurant and its staff for a wonderful evening.

We were excited to try Toscana from the website description. I had the insalata mista, the carne lasagna and the panna cotta and she had the bruschetta, the tagliatelle and the profiteroles. We both had a glass of red wine and each finished with a glass of the Montenegro. We gave it a very solid try. Where to begin since it was by far the worst dining experience in our 10 day Ireland trip. The wine tasted old, and warm. The salad had no rocket/arugula even though that headlined the description. The service was subpar. I could go on, but why. Nothing was very good except, maybe, the food presentation. We were looking to branch out and we went too far... A few locals asked where we ate dinner the following morning as we were heading to the airport and all agreed with us, not a good place.

I was able to book the night before through their website, the whole process was very easy. It is a lot larger than it looks from the outside, quite a labyrinth downstairs! However the tables are quite tightly packed together which made it feel a bit cramped. The staff were friendly and attentive so we didn't have to wait to order or get the bill. Our mains were brought out very quickly which would be great for anyone in a rush before a show. The pasta was excellent and would definitely order again. I was a little disappointed with the dessert options (many of them were just variations of gelato with biscotti and booze) and the gelato was just normal ice cream, not as smooth and creamy as gelato shops. But overall I'd recommend it and go back again myself.

We've been there for St Patrick's day and we had lunch with pizza. Actually there was a good St Patrick's Menú for a good price considering the festivity and the location, but we asked to have just a pizza. Pizza was not bad, but actually, as Italian, pizza was not really italian, not enough tomato sauce and something with mozzarella, in addition, there was not basil but other leaves. Anyway, I know that abroad, eating an Italian pizza is not really easy, but it was not bad. Quick service and staff always present. I am curious to try the meals, next time. We paid 39€ for two margherita, a beer and a bottle of water.

I ordered the suppli as a starter and that was absolutely delicious! After that appetizer, I had such high expectations for the main course. I ordered tagliatelle con pollo. Unfortunately, the dish was mid. There was no flavor, the chicken was plain, and had a weird hard/chewy texture to it. I personally did not enjoy it. If I could go back, I would get 3 plates of the suppli and eat that lol. My friends ordered the lasagna al forno and the vegetarian lasagna; both were yummy according to them. The tiramisu had an alcohol taste to it and I didn’t like that.

I did it again. I got caught up with the food and the banter with the staff and I forgot to take pictures of the dishes. So let me fill you in. Great value, 3 course dinner for under €40. Highlight are, starters the meatballs and the Bruschetta. Mains, the seafood linguine, and my sister had an amazing chicken and mushroom dish and my brother had an amazing steak. Desert, oh boy. Simply fab. Great food, great atmosphere, great staff, great value.

amazing amazing amazing. we got the bruschetta for starters which had such fresh tomatoes and really crispy bread, had the tre salumi pizza for main with the cheesy garlic bread - unbelievable. the meat on the pizza was unreal and the cheese and sauce were perfect, the garlic bread was crispy and not too garlicky as lots of restaurants would tend to do. the staff were so friendly and the atmosphere is lovely - feels like youre sitting in a restaurant in italy! will definitely go back.

No choice but to have the 3 course Christmas menu. Starters ok nothing special. My friend had the chicken dish which was good I had a Pizza which was not the best, quite bland and base very pale. My friend asked for extra garlic mayonnaise and we were charged €2.50 extra which was unnecessary I feel this Should have been complementary. Desserts were good and decent portions. The staff were pleasant and service good. Not sure that I would return though, better Italian restaurants around and with much better pizzas!

The Toscanaita Italian restaurant was a grate place too have dinner. It was a cozy atmosphere with good food and friendly staff as well as good service. It also had live music the night we ate here in our Ireland trip. We ate in a quieter area of the restaurant and the band was very nice to play an extra song at the end so we could hear at least one song as we had just finished our meals. We all enjoyed the experience here and the restaurant is in a nice location being in the city center of Dublin.

The waiter and staff was very polite and friendly. It didn't feel posh nor was I under pressure to decide on my order. The atmosphere was great. The seats were comfortable and the tables weren't too small to need more space for each dish. We didn't wait long for any dish everything came together. Everything was cooked very well, prices were also quite reasonable and the portions were a good size too. Would go again!

I had a seafood dish, I was surprised with the quality and the taste as normally the prawns you get are either frozen or from the Atlantic. The taste reminded me of the Mediterranean shrimps and I was lost in taste and memories. I highly recommend this place. Myself and my family of 4 dined here last night. The food was absolutely delicious! I had the carbonara and my hubby had the seafood linguine. Both were amazing! The older male waiter we had was outstanding from seating us to explaining the menu and when he saw my hubby dipping my sons chips in his leftover sauce, he came over with bread for him to enjoy the last bit of his meal. A true, old school gentleman of a waiter! Can't wait to return again ❤️

Excellent ambiance. Nice decor. We got a small booth. Food was excellent. Nicely prepared. Original fresh raw flavors. One could taste the ingredients well. I ordered a seafood risotto. And my wife ordered marinara spaghetti and tasted the pizza . Burst of flavors . Tomatoes spoke subtly throughout the meal. Service was good. Quick preparation despite having a busy time. Overall, excellent experience. Would recommend and go there again if visiting Dublin again.

Both myself and my present wife had the early bird menu. The portions were generous. We shared our deserts of profiteroles and tiramisu however we were disappointed with the tiramisu as it was quite bland hence the 4 stars. Otherwise the starters and main courses were delicious. All the staff we dealt with were lovely especially Anna-Marie. Would definitely book again

Stay as far away from here as possible. The food was just awful. Shop bought pasta, mushroom soup instead of sauce and the chicken was unedable. Brought it to the staff attention and they said the chef had thought the chicken was rubbery that morning..which means it was boiled the before and reheated when serving. Tried to charge full price too!! Be warned

We came in here on our first day at Dublin for an early dinner. The restaurant is near the Temple Bar and City Center. We were seated downstairs near the kitchen and the seats were pretty cozy. We started off with Zuppa Del Giorno and Zuppa Ribollita Soups. For the main, we had Lasagne Vegetariana and Pollo Limone. And for dessert we had Tiramisu. The portions were good and every dish came out great. The service was pretty prompt as well.

We had dinner in Toscana a family of four, two teenagers included. We went there thanks to the good reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. It wasn't bad. It was not as good as we expected. The Calamari starter was stail, so was the vegi lasagna, it wasn't worth the price. The service however was good. We had a nice eve, but it wasn't worth the price.

Everything was average. The lasagna felt like tomato sauce mixed with melted cheese. The tiramisu was probably bought at Tesco…. Not impressed.

The servers here are very nice and attentive to whatever you need! Prices were good and the food was absolutely amazing. In my opinion, better than many other authentic italian restaurants. I would come back to Dublin simply to eat here again.

Correct food. The only menu was a Christmas dinner which was a bit pricey: 40€ for a 3 courses meal (starter, main, dessert) with a pizza. Tiramisu was frozen.

I liked the food. No beer that's worth it but that's what Italian restaurants do best. I only had the pizza because I have to try anything that's Quattro formaggi. The gorgonzola over powered the whole pizza but I still at the whole thing. I didnt see gnocchi or many other dishes I wanted.

Very decent restaurant. Food was good. Server asked us if we wanted some extra water which later cost us around 6 euros. Was a little weird we didn't know about that. The rest was good though

Really fast service, excellent food, nice atmosphere. Really nothing to complain really. Because we were there early (before 6:30) we got the “early bird menu” with 3 courses for good value for money.

What a wonderful Italian restaurant. We had the penne pasta and lasagna; the food was terrific! The espresso martini was good also, and of course, as in all places in Dublin, the pint of Guinness was excellent.

We opted for the pre theatre menu. Food was delicious and really tasty. Stuffed meat Cannelloni was unreal I would definitely recommend. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly.. We will be returning for sure.
