I don’t write reviews but I had such a bad experience I thought I should. So I recently came here because someone on this review recommended Isabella and said that she had done a good job on her hair. So I booked an appointment with Isabella. I wanted to get my hair coloured blonde but she recommended I do highlights instead to see if I would like it. She did say that she would do tons of highlights tho which she never did. She maybe did like 7 or 8 strips it was hardly noticeable. Not only that she had me under the dryer for literally 2 minutes before the power got shut off because supposedly they can’t run both dryers at once otherwise it causes shortages. So I was waiting for the other lady under the dryer to be done with her highlights first. But before she was even done Isabella started taking off the foils and was like it seems done. I’m like are you serious. I didn’t even have the foils on for 5 minutes. And then she starts washing my hair. When she dried it and I took a look there was no noticeable different at all. You could barely even see the highlights. She told me to come back every 4 weeks so I could get more highlights and lighter everytime. Yeah right as if I’m going to be coming back again after spending $80 for literally a shampoo and wash basically. You’d think she would have treated me better since I said I was coming in because of a good review. Never stepping door in there again I should have just walked out and not paid

A few weeks ago, I returned to ‘Total Image’ with an expectation of getting the same service as my first visit which I gave a 5star rating. My experience this time was very different. the stylist Isabella assured me that the style I wanted was possible. How ever, this time she seemed very busy and my hair did not turn out as well as I hoped. As a result, I returned the next day and a another stylist (Angie) finished my hair to my satisfaction. How ever, this treatment I wanted(full foil and toning) was a gift for me and when I inquired about the additional cost compared from my previous treatment(Full foil + trim)...the manager told me that I was given a conditioning treatment that I was not informed of the extra 50$ cost by the stylist in addition to the normal cost. The manager was very condescending and basically suggested that I must not have been able to afford it when I suggested a refund on the unrequested conditioning treatment, he was rude and unapologetic about all the issues I had with my appointment. It is unfortunate that the manager treated me this way and just gave me samples to satisfy my visit. I felt the need to express my significant disappointment in this salon which is too bad because I was really happy with the atmosphere and stylists during my previous visit. I will not be returning to this salon because of the manager/owner’s actions.

I never write reviews but I was so upset by the service I received from this salon. I went in asking for a simple trim and clean up of layers and side bangs. I had showed the woman pictures of the style I was aiming for and was very clear that I wanted to keep some length, I proceeded to show her while my hair was dry, then again when it was wet to make sure she understood what I wanted. She proceeded with the cut(during this process she was talking about how great short hair was,etc) and what I ended up with was an extremely short hair cut, she had essentially given me what SHE wanted to do on me and not what I wanted. I usually am very open to a hairstylists opinions on what would look good but today I was very clear that I was only seeking a trim because I just wanted to help it look healthier and continue to grow. Furthermore she did not blow dry my whole hair, as she explain "if i dry it all it will look frizzy". Then she rushed off to another client. Never through the haircut did she ask me if the length was ok, she just proceeded with what SHE wanted to do with MY hair. I have been to this salon and never had any problem with any of its hairstylists, this is the first time in 15 years that I have had an issue, and I am completely disappointed with the service and attitude of this stylist. I am now back at square one in the process of growing my hair.

While browsing the mall I seen they had a few straighteners on a table. I proceeded in the store to check it out. Young boy, i wouldn't consider the ignorant, arrogant person a man, jumped from his chair and stood there staring at me looking at the items. I told him I didn't need any help but the rude person just glared at me as if I was unable to afford to be shopping in the salon...if you get my drift. He proceeded to say that's 200 dollars, well no kidding, I can read. I asked him if there was a problem, he proceeded to stare at me and so I asked forthe owner's name. He stated that he was. I left the store and my partner happened to show up at the end of the incident. He asked the boy was there a problem....the answer was No Sir. He wouldn't give his name. Proceeded back by the salon today. I asked an older man working there today if he was the owner, he said no but how can I help you. Proceeded to speak with him of the incident from Sunday AND he as much as called me a liar that the boy wouldn't do that. Well I guess ignorance is part of the job qualifications there. I would like to meet the true owner face to face and see what he or she thinks. I believe they both need to be given some lessons about Customer Service!

Had a balayage and cut with Mila. Balayage was ok, the colour matches well enough with the picture I showed, however I'm not happy with the cut. It's blunt and the layers look really choppy, even though I asked Mila to make sure it wasn't blunt at the back and she said it wasn't. She didn't ask me whether or not I wanted my hair curled or straight. I would have preferred to leave it straight as my hair naturally is but she just said she was going to curl it to take photos and she never asked if that was ok with me. She also did not show me what the back looked like before she started curling my hair so I couldn't tell what it really looked like until I got home and straightened it. Furthermore, I originally asked for an Olaplex treatment, but Mila told me that the Kérastase treatment was better and they were the same price, however I found out when I went to pay that the Kérastase treatment is actually $10 more. Also, I felt like they were really trying to push their products on me when I never asked about product recommendations.

I got my hair cut here and it was a horrible experience. I’m not going to mention her name here but I wasn’t pleased with her cut. I asked for a trim and she cut off more than 5 inches, although she told me she’d cut 2. Furthermore, she kept cutting big chunks of my hair randomly. I should have realised then when I saw large amounts of hair falling off as she was cutting my hair wet. I know, if you want to cut into hair and thin it out, you do that with dry hair. Anyway, I dislike my hair now. I still have to get it sorted but as chunks of my hair is missing in random places I have to wait for it to grow back. I was also deceived by the owner who told me that the lady would be a senior stylist and then later on was told that she was not. The manager never returned my call and I called several times but I finally got my money back (unfortunately learned it the hard way, as my hair is ruined). I’ve attached pictures and you can see that the layer are very chunky and does not flow well at all.

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews...I got a fantastic skin fade from Andreas and we had a really nice and in-depth chat. There was absolutely zero wait and the cut was quick but detailed. He finished it off with a nice after shave lotion and 22.60CAD later, I was on my way with a stellar haircut. Exactly what I've been looking for...an affordable haircut that is actually good at a place with great customer service. I had found the perfect barbers back home in Edinburgh, but all the places in Oakville seemed to be either cheap and give a bad cut with horrible customer service or give a decent cut with ok customer service but at a dreadful price. Really enjoyed my cut with Andreas. Great craic....will be getting my cut here for the next few months until I go back home and will come back whenever I'm in Canada.

I came here for a cut and style recently, and the quality of my haircut was quite good, which is why I'm rating a 2 instead of 1. I came here for the second time because I liked my cut the first time, and it was very affordable-- only $35 after tax. I noticed the same deal again: "$30 for a haircut, wash, and style" a sign at the front of the store read. This time, since it was a busy Sunday, the service was more rushed and I was in and out in 20 minutes. Also, I go charged $55 after tax! I complained to the manager, and he told me "oh, women's haircuts are always more expensive" which I knew wasn't true, as I paid $35 at the same location only a few months prior. The manager spoke to me as if I were an idiot. I am never coming back to this place, as I feel ripped off and didn't get value for the money. 2/5

I have been coming here since I was 12 years old and now 26. I have been seeing the same stylist Isabelle for the entire years of me coming here and always was very satisfied and happy through my entire salon experience. I have come for a variety of services such as, colouring, cut, highlights, prom hair do etc and Isabelle never had me disappointed. The rest of the staff here are great as well and all very helpful and kind. Isabelle has been doing blonde highlights on me forever and one time died my hair black and she got it back to blonde. I am a very happy customer from the time I walk in to the time I have left. I highly recommend this salon for any service need as they pretty much do everything. You will not be disappointed and will indeed be a happy customer! I would rate this salon 100 stars!!!!!

Owner Rocco has no interest in coaching his staff who dont take instructions from their clients and decide to cut their clients hair they way she wants Roxanne decided on her own the length and style had to stop the hair cut half way cuz she just kept cutting when she was specifically told dont touch the front length ...rocco owns all the hair salons in this mall he doesnt care to lose a client ...he didnt even want to discuss the situation cuz Roxanne had another customer waiting seriously made me feel like the new customer was now more important...who wants to go back even if the next hair cut is free seriously Rocco that's your solution ? You have Roxanne representing your salon and she has no regard to her clients requests shame on you all

I've been going to this salon for 5+ years, on/off recently because I moved out of Oakville. I try to go here rather than other places because almost every girl at the salon has been great in my experience. This Friday, I saw Adele and it was a horrible experience. I have long hair and wanted a redo of layers with a fringe cut in front, very simple. She did not listen to anything I said. She rushed through my hair, not even washing it properly. Because she was in such a rush, she pulled and tugged at my hair repeatedly. I was in at 7:15 and she washed, cut and styled it in 30 mins. I was out of the salon by 7:45pm. I'm so disappointed and will never go here again.

I came for a simple haircut and let me to tell you I got the complete opposite! My stylist didn’t listen to me at all I got my hair chopped away where I felt like I was left with nothing! This place is dirty, staff need to learn how to dress professionally and needs a need attitude. I will NEVER come back here this place is dying just as fast as an another if I could give this place a 0 star I would. Worst salon I’ve ever been to. Worst place ever...I work in the same mall .went to cut my long hair only 5 cm .she ended up shorten my hair in half.!!!I couldnot believe my eyes...while brushing my hair another lady came to help.she was older lady with long blond hair.she asked me who color your hair and I answered myself.then they looked at each other and laughed .they didn't care I was watchi6them in mirror...so rude and disrespectful.picture below shows what disaster happened to my hair ...it was supposed to be layer o very long hair .almost a year I have to wait to grow longer to hide this .they deleted images apparently

I had long hair. divian did my cut and balayage. Balayage was more like highlights and there were patches. She left me with yellow streaks and chopped my hair till 2 inches below shoulder. I called to get them fixed. Sue tried fixing my hair. She coloured my roots dark brown (my original hair color) all the highlights are gone. I paid $237 for this. Untrained staff, does nt know the difference between balayage and high lights. It doesn’t even look I got some kind of hair treatment. I am so so disappointed. I left the note for the owner. I hope he reads it and gets back to me. Never coming back to this place.

Very very bad so unprofessional staff the guy who cut my son's hair was so fast that he injured his ear and pretended nothing's happened I found out that his ear is bleeding and asked for alcohol they gave me a yellow liquid and he put it with his fingers they don't have cotton after that a lady came and put some powder and told me that will stop the bleeding and I told them they are not professional they told me that happens all the time and the guy told me : his ear is still there with a laugh and they told me people from your background are looking for a free haircut with rudeness.

Walked in for a bang touch up.Made it as far as the chair before the rude woman named Katie got belligerent, argumentative and raising her voice over me saying "this just isnt going to work" after I said I didnt want her to razor my hair. Walked out, went upstairs. In 2 min, I got what I wanted ( two or three little snips on a layer not sitting right) and the money is in THEIR till. Katie, you are miserable and you lost your salon some business. You obviously hate people and dealing with the public. Maybe a behind-the-scenes job is more suitable for you.

My girlfriend came home crying after getting her hair done at this location. She grew her hair out for years and just wanted it shaped. She wanted layers with the back coming to a V and said specifically not to cut much off.. The hair stylist did not listen to her request, cut way more off than she wanted (told my girlfriend that long hair wasn’t appealing) and cut the back flat, no V. Like I said, she came home crying as the hairstylist did what she wanted, not as requested by the client. Very disappointed, will not return.

First time having my hair cut here as I work in this mall and I have to say it was the worst service ive EVER received they had me in the chair less then 7 minutes (clearly rushed because one of his usuals came in) and when they were "finished" they left me covered in hair from my face to my arms and to top it off once I got home to properly inspect it I can clearly see that its not even cut straight! clearly Andreas doesnt put effort into his work. Never again will I get my hair cut here

I recently moved back to oakville from Montreal and i'm very happy this salon is as it was years ago. Everyone i knew is still there, and They even remembered my name and haircolour. Cosimo is my go-to guy for hair products. I love that the staff take time to engage me and really listen to what i want. When i want a change, i've always been so impressed with the confidence and talent of these stylists. Just about everyone has given me an awsome experience. I love you guys.

We went in for the first time today and explained to the male stylist that my partner wanted a bit off the sides, not too short that it couldn't easily blend, the neck natural (as opposed to squared off) and please don't cut the top. He goes rogue and does a fade and then has the audacity to charge more for something we didn't even want or ask for. I do NOT recommend this place! If I had wanted the stylist to do whatever he wanted I would have asked him to.

I have visited this salon twice. Monika did a good job on my hair cut but the roots were to dark. Upon the next visit she made my roots lighter which was great. I did ask for a full head of steaks but unfortunately you can hardly see them. I went out to see a movie the day after I had my streaks done and my friend said that my hair looked darker then usual. I had to show her the few streaks that I could actually see. Will not be returning to this salon.

I will not go back this place ever again. I wanted to get highlights, but the lady was very unexperienced and ruined my hair. I needed to go back to get it fixed, but even after trying to fix it three (!) times it was still bad. I could have done better job myself! I was so mad when I left there - just waste of money & time PLUS that your hair is ruined. She left the bleach too long time, so part of my hair got white while the root was still dark.

I always enjoy my time at Total Image! Roxanne is a very knowledgeable stylist. She truly listens to what I want. Whether it's a haircut, colour or highlights I always come away feeling fresh and pretty, and I always get complements from my husband! From the moment I enter the salon to when I'm done everyone is friendly and welcoming. It's always a pleasure to visit Total Image Hair Salon and I highly recommend Roxanne!

On two occassions my daughters have used this salon for threading and waxing with Mineau. Both times were walk-in and they were happy to accommodate us. Mineau is excellent, professional and engaging with a great sense of humour. We are returning for a third time and will continue to do so due to the excellent level of service provided. As soon as I got there I was seated for my appointment. The staff was very kind! My hairdresser, Mathew, was talented and kind. He was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. He always checked that he was cutting a length I liked. My hair looked beautiful by the end of my appointment. I am definitely becoming a regular now and absolutely recommend this salon!

I was recently travelling back to the US and stopped by this salon. I was assisted by Cosimo in selecting and purchasing hair products. I highly recommend this salon to assist with products! I had such a great expereince at this salon. I got a haircut and balayage done and everything was exactly as I wanted. My stylist's name was Sam and I HIGHLY reccomend her. This place isn't that bad. It's a 20$ haircut. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, location is good. I paid 22.50$ + 5.00$ tip. It was quick(20minutes), but then again my hair is short. I suggest that they should add a scalp massage or wash (3-5 mins) and that would be excellent service. Overall, the reviews are too harsh, I would go back.

Angie always does a great job everytime I come in. She is always so nice, friendly with good conversation. The one thing I didn't like is there is always this creepy guy hanging around in Total Salon but never doing anything except whispering things to the staff. He might be the owner or boss but there is nothing to identify him as that.

Had the best experience I've ever had here, my hair turned out beautifully, gave me a boost of confidence! The staff is absolutely amazing, they make sure you are comfortable and happy. They also did my daughter's hair and she can't stop talking about how cute she looks. If you ever need your hair done, I recommend this place 100%!

I walked in because I had a hair emergency it was my first time in this salon and I absolutely loved it. The team of hairstylists were amazing and very helpful. I got the exact cut I wanted which hardly ever happens. I walked in on short notice and was able to get a cut in no time at all. Love this place will for sure come back.

The most terrible experience ever..Go to an hair salon for remove my white hair and end to still have all of them on my head. The owner is there only got make number.. the only question he ask me was to leave a tips to the girl...paying 166 dollars and being not happy about is really frustrating...never more in this salon.

Not happy at all. It looks nothing like the photo I supplied and when I asked to add some layers, my stylist flat-out refused. I know my hair, I need layers or else my hair just falls flat. He stated he gave me the cut I requested. HE DID NOT. I eventually gave up and will be going to another salon to fix it tomorrow.

Literally the worst haircut I have ever gotten in my life. I told the guy exactly what I wanted and even showed him a picture of my last haircut and he took it upon himself to give me something completely different and it looks awful. I am beyond disappointed with this place and will definitely not return

I recently had my hair cut and colored by Viviane, she did an amazing cut and the color is so perfect, a soft natural blond. The Covid-19 prevention measures were strictly enforced, I felt every safe being in this hair salon. Don't be afraid to go there, it is safe and the staff are very friendly.

Terrible experience in every way. The professionals boast that they are great, they do not hear at all what the client is requesting. They do everything their way leaving you totally dissatisfied. They are not professional at all. What we have left is to think that hair will grow back.

Sohaila is AMAZING!!! I went in for a spontaneous cut and she gave me beautiful layers!! Blow dry was nicely done! She was the sweetest and so professional! She’s got years of experience and it really shows! I’m definitely coming back just for Sohaila! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Honestly don't waste your time and money here. Customer service is terrible, overpriced, they don't give the time to hear what their customers want. It's a genuine surprise after reading about similar experiences over a year ago that they still have any business.

First off I went in to get a specific haircut and came out looking like a goof with a totally outdated haircut and not what I asked for at all. I feel like the 'boss' there is unengaged and when he saw me upset, did absolutely nothing rectify it. Never again.

My go-to place for a haircut ; conveniently located in Oakville place mall near H&M and Starbucks . Diverse working group at this store and they do know their stuff . Visited 2times already for a haircut , no appointments needed for a quick men’s haircut .

The worst haircut I got here and the worst was my brother's haircut. The stylist was so rude when I asked him to do a specific haircut that I showed to him on the phone. I would never go there again.and I don't recommend this place for anyone.

It was a really good experience overall. I gave Mila an idea of what I wanted and she really came through! I did not want to shorten my hair too much and she made sure that was the case, while still maintaining the style I was looking for.

I came in with horrible DIY roots and Sam knew exactly how to make my hair shine. Sam gave me amazing highlights/ style and fixed my hair!! The salon was very clean and professional. Sam will definitely be my go-to! I highly recommend!!

Zero standards This used to be a great place to get a haircut but that is no longer the case. Expect a very uneven haircut. It will look like a monkey bit it off. Ineptitude and incompetence are the order of the day at this hair salon.

Came to get my hair cut and styled and it was perfect! The stylist knew exactly what they were doing and the haircut is phenomenal. Would definitely recommend :)

Very fast, but very poor quality. I asked for my head to be shaved, and found that there were several patchy spots upon further inspection, fairly displeased.

Abla used highlights and lowlights to give me the sophisticated blonde I asked for with no brassy tones. I love it! The atmosphere here is warm and friendly.

Excellent service and the hairstylists are awesome too. Men, women and children’s hair cut done here. You can book online and choose your preferred stylist.
