I recently visited Transcona Aquatic Park, and overall, it was a decent experience. Here are my thoughts on different aspects of the facility: Bathrooms/Change Rooms: Unfortunately, the bathrooms and change rooms were poorly managed during my visit. They seemed to be lacking proper maintenance and attention. However, I believe this is an area that can be improved with better upkeep and regular cleaning. Waterslides: While I didn't personally try the waterslides, they definitely caught my attention. They appeared to be thrilling and enjoyable for those who are fond of water attractions. Based on their appearance, I believe they would provide a great source of fun and entertainment for visitors. Pool Cleanliness: I was pleased to find that the pool itself was clean and well-maintained. The water was clear, and the pool area appeared to be regularly attended to. This attention to cleanliness enhances the overall experience for visitors, and I appreciate the effort put into maintaining a hygienic environment. Splash Pad: The splash pad here, was undoubtedly the highlight of my visit. It offered a lot of fun and excitement, especially for younger visitors. The interactive water features and playful atmosphere provided a refreshing escape from the summer heat. I highly recommend it for families with children. Overall, my experience at Transcona Aquatic Park was a mix of positives and areas that could be improved. The pool itself was clean and well-maintained, offering a pleasant swimming environment. However, I was disappointed with the condition of the bathrooms and change rooms, which require better management. On a brighter note, the waterslides seemed enticing, and the splash pad was a delightful experience. I hope the management takes these suggestions into consideration to provide an even more enjoyable experience for future visitors.

I'm going three stars because we had a great/terrible time there. It's a great place to go and chill. Clean for a public pool. Cool slides pool etc. Worth the $7 per adult to get in. But when somebody pinched a loaf and the pool needed to be evacuated, that's when we got to see how poorly run this place is. Clearly this is not something that the staff deals with daily, but the lack of professionalism that started the moment we arrived earlier. As with most gov/business giving the money is never a problem. But getting proof of your purchase is equally important to the one who gives the money. This was a challenge. However I now know that once you pay you're expected to find a lifeguard to give you a wrist band. Hmm, OK next time I will avoid the bs and walk right in and just ask a lifeguard for a wristband. Ya, that's what the bs was about. I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't give you a wristband when you pay. Then when we were all asked to leave, they would only refund those that had been there for less than a 1/2 hour. We didn't pack two coolers and a two bags drove half way across the city to spend 1/2 hour. We had been there for just over an hour. But the city didn't think they should refund our money at aprox 4pm when the hours of operation is until 7pm. Would you go back?

The pool is excellent, there is lots of parking space around the area. The location is popular in the whole area. It has 4 slides and the pool is large with both deep and shallow ends duely separated. It has enough lifeguards to serve all attendants. There are dressers easily accessible. The place is accessible by wheelchair too. The major problem of the pool is its own popularity. Transcona is a bedroom community populated with growing families. The City is indifferent to this fact, they are indifferent to the needs of more staff or physical expansion or changes in schedule. So, people are forced to line up to wait 2 hours to get in. For many people, the pool is worth the wait. The wait becomes more bothersome since there are no shades, and the sun is brutal in sunny days. The line up is permanent until 2 hours prior to closing time. So people know that after 2 hours of stay in the pool after the opening, many people will start leaving, abd then they get to access the pool. However, there is a system of reservation of spots that can be done online. It is recommended to reserve your spots if you dont want to line up for 2 hours. I call upon the City of Winnipeg to do some expansion in this place, given its popularity through out the whole summer.

Bad set up in my opinion. The whole pool is divided into 5 sections - the first is the diving area. There were about 5 teenagers who had that area to themselves. The area beside it, there was no one in it at all. The next section was, from what I could gather, about 3 feet deep and used primarily by parents swimming with their kids. That section was packed. The fourth section is roped off for the slides. There was maybe half a dozen teenagers using that section. The fifth and final section is the zero-entry suitable for toddlers and small children unable to swim. Here’s the part that I hated... there are about 6 or so “fountains” in this section that continually spray water from about 8 feed high. ALL the little kids avoided going under these things because they spray on their heads and faces. The result is that about 80% of this section is empty, and all those kids and parents are fighting for precious spots right at the edge of the pool, away from the sprays. So 3/5 of the pool virtually empty and 80% of another section was no use to its intended audience. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

It was a great facility however rules are very strict. Admission is not expensive (it was under 15$ for 3). There are no food vendors on site however you can bring all your foid and drinks in. There are coin return lockers to lock up keys and wallets. Safety is important at the facility and there are a lot of life guards on duty. Kids need to swim 4 laps to access the deep end and to use water slides (which exit into waist deep water for an adult) without a life jacket. My 7 (almost 8) year old daughter could only swim 2 laps so I fully agree she could not be in deep water. I did think it was ridiculous she required a life jacket to use the water slides. This spoiled her day as she has been in pools and lakes without a flotation device for the past 2 summers and the life jacket felt restictive. I am all for safety but the water was chest high for her at the waterslides' exit. Unfortunately my daughter does not wish to go back. I hope this policy could be reviewed in the future!

We went there with a family friend, which was good because she warned us we needed to get there at noon in order to get in on time. The lineup was huge, so we were lucky to be one of the first in (my only complain being not enough shade outside, esp. on hot and sunny days). The staff were nice and handled everything very well, considering how many people were there. I was a bit disappointed we couldn't go in the indoor pool, until they told me it's for lessons, so that's all cool now. In regards to the actual day, we must've spent like six hours there in total. The kids loved it, the friends loved it, and I loved it. The sunburn and headache were totally worth the day out. Will deff. go again next year!

My first time going to this water park and I loved every minute of it. Just make sure to bring your own food, chairs, and something to block out the sun, like an umbrella. There are two diving boards and four water slides. There is also a splash park for the babies and kids. There are life guards on duty and lockers that only cost a quarter. I would really recommend going here for a swim or to just catch some sun and get tanned. Unfortunately, there are no snack bars but there is a fountain for water, so make sure to bring food just in case. Great friendly staff and great prices to enter. This is going to be my usual swimming spot from now on.

  • linda gebby

Went for the first time on saturday. Got there at 1pm opening time. Long line up but expected that . What i didnt expect was to wait over an hour then find out not from cashier but from couple in line in front of us that the pool reached capacity and now we have to wait until someone leaves to get in. The cashier/check in girl saw all the coolers boxes of piza buckets of chicken going in. Did she really think people were going to leave anytime soon. She should of told us in line that capacity was reached so we could decide if we wanted to continue waiting. And for someone who is at this job only a few weeks she wasnt very friendly.

  • Diane Kroeker

Great pool for all ages (my teens and I even found the slides fun). Warning: all children under 18 need to swim 4 lengths of the pool to use the slides without a lifejacket. It’s a tough swim for the younger ones and it’s a bit strange when they could all touch the bottom in the slide pool anyways. The water is warm but on a cool day a Hottub would be really nice as the kids were really chilled. There’s quite a few picnic tables, shade areas, lounge chairs, splash pad, deep area with high diving boards, nice change rooms, and a clean bathroom.

A wonderful space to spend the afternoon. We arrived 15 minutes before they opened and there was already a line. They were at capacity by 1pm so I advise going early or you will need to wait until people leave. I do wish there was more seating nearer to the pool but those spots go quick. It's actually very inexpensive so I won't complain too much about having to park our stuff further away. $14 for a family (2 adults + up to 4 kids). I do recommend bringing your own puddle jumper or lifejacket for smaller kids if you have because my guy got a rash under his arm from the public ones. We will absolutely be back.

Was in the city on a family holiday. Went to TAP, waited in line for admission, waited in line again so my kids could demonstrate their swimming skills only to have the pool closed due to weather. Which is totally understandable. What frustrates me is the fact the indoor pool was completely empty and unused. I asked if my kids could swim there instead and they replied "NO"? Which makes no sense!!!! Their was about 8 lifeguards in the building and an unused pool?! We received complimentary passes for another visit which is useless to use since we are from out of province. I wouldn't return!!!!

  • Emine Tuylu

We went there on a weekday morning just because our daughter wanted to water slide.we are a family of 3,we just paid I think 12$for all of us.we waited for a few minutes outside to get in.i was impressed by the water fan they put there to keep the waiting customers cool and more interestingly they left chalks for kids to play so that they don’t get bored while waiting to enter. The staff are very serious with their job and make sure everybody has fun in a SAFE way.Best waterslide in Winnipeg!! We can’t wait to go there again!!!

  • Kris Firth

It was alright, it's mostly aimed at pre-teens it seems. Was with a group of special needs adults on a weekday and they didn't find it very fun, one liked the water slides . Pool had some classes going on it seemed so very limited movement there. The deeper ends were the only somewhat calmer areas. There also only appeared to be two showers which were outdoor and quite cold no matter what way they were turned on. I also found there was no real shade anywhere, not even a tree to lay by so bring your own umbrella etc...!

  • Ama Apea Bah

The place was fantastic, have enough room to enjoy your swim with levels of different depth to suit your height and ability. The slides were a bit scary for a first time swimmer like me but was very enjoyable after taking some rounds for experience. The kids loved it so much. Life guards were on the alert for almost everyone present. I can't wait to visit the place again.

Nice place, however, if your kids are under 44'' they can't go on the water slides without doing a swim test. I have a 2 and 4 year old who LOVE waterslides but prefer to go with us. No double riders allowed. Also, in the shallow area they have way too many sprinklers, so you can't just enjoy being in the shallow water with your little. Needless to say we wouldn't be going back until the kids are much older. Not great for toddlers.

I have a disability and I can’t hold my self. up so me and worker from my summer camp tried to go down tougher. I went all the way up my the steps and got on when I was on they told us he could not come with me I explained that I can’t hold myself up and they still said no until I begged and they allowed it but only once. I feel very excluded from the fun and the staff were not even nice about it I will not be returning again

  • Arley A

The check-in girl actually did a great job handling the endless masses of people in the line, especially considering she did most (if not all) of the work alone. How would she be able to leave the desk to go tell people outside that the pool is at capacity? She probably wouldn't be allowed to leave her post to do that, especially when the lobby is crowded full of people trying to get in.

  • J

Worst staff and customer service ever!!!! Staff dont show up for their shifts so the customers have to pay and wait 2.5 hours due to over capacity because they are understaffed and letting staff go home early. Get your stuff together! Oh and their "rules" are that INFANTS/TODDLER have to do laps before they can go down the kiddie pools ALONE, not with an adult, ALONE.

  • Krissy P

This was Our first time at the water park. The cashier guy at the front was very friendly as well as the lifeguards. They were happy to help with any questions I had and were very patient with the kids. I love how they have life jackets available to borrow. They have washrooms, changing rooms, and quarter operated lockers. It was a very nice park and a lot of fun

  • Angelle Holmes

I really enjoyed myself but there was a fouling in the pool and we all got kicked out while they cleaned it. It was frustrating because I had paid to enter and I couldn't get a refund for only being allowed to stay for a short amount of time.

We visited during the coronavirus pandemic, and I think that they did a great job of making sure that everybody stayed safe, and got their chance to enjoy the water park. The slides were super fun, and my 3yo son did his two laps, and got to go on the slides too! Definitely recommend that everybody give this place a try.

  • Matthew Maurer

I thought the water park was great. I don't know why people are complaining about the life guards. I found them to be blunt as well, but I'd rather a lifeguard be watching my kid than talking to somebody. The whole area is great. I had an enjoyable time swimming their with my son and don't have a single complaint

  • Ann

So disappointed that the park and city websites weren't updated to say the park was closed. I booked a spot for my family on the Winnipeg website and no notice about the closure and when I called 311 they didn't have info for me. We drove 40 minutes to get there and now have to upset kids. …

  • Kristen C

This place was great! Wonderful space. Lots of shade available. Did not have to wait getting in and there were plenty of chairs available. Also the price is remarkable! Why go to tinker town with your young kids? Pack a lunch and some snacks and spend the day here for a fraction of the price.

  • Bouqie I

There was no time limit for customer's already at the pool. So the facility was full accommodate new customers. Was on the queue for over an hour and they kept saying its full, its full. They lost the money we would have paid to get in while accommodating overstayed customers.

  • Dan Kotanko

Nice pool, 4 slides (good for all different ages & abilities). 'Kids' 18, yes 18 and younger HAVE to do a swim test (4 short laps) for a life guard to swim in deep end / diving boards

It's great here. The water is always clean and great, not alot of people, and the slides are fun to go on. Only problem is that the slides sometimes feel a bit like a cheese grater on your back because the plastic came up a bit. Other than that it's amazing!

  • Shane Unknown

They cram it too full, and the staff look bored out of their minds. The wait to get in at times are long and hot and with little to no parking streets are plugged up. Great idea for the community, but many features were not looked at prior to development.

  • Norm Smith

Was fun. A bit windy so had some dust from the baseball diamond next to it. I would like to see a plastic insert done to block the baseball field from the park. That way you dont have to hear them yelling and swearing also. But I will come back again.

  • Denisse Roque

Super clean and nice staff. There are at least 5 lifeguards around which is a nice thing to have. It does get pretty crowded on holidays so get there early to get ur own table! The pool was clean and clear , the slides were fun too.

  • Raven Tardiff

Really nice water park and splash pad. The life guards pay attention and make sure everyone is safe. I really like that they have turf instead of grass. It looks nice and is not dirty. The slides do hurt the back a little though.

  • Siobhan Brar

Really fun but they should enforce the waterslide rope rule more because the whole time I kept hearing whistles and lifegaurds yelling.

Great times at this pool. The slides are alot of fun as well as the diving boards are fun. It also has the splash pad for the little ones. Makes for a great day but it fills up fast so be prepared to stand in line.

  • Amanda A

Set up is horrible, life gaurds were mean, not enoigh to do for the little kids especially when the bright waterslides are calling littles kids names.....people cutting in line ...not happpy and wont be back

  • Stefani Buleziuk

Great place! Gets very busy so go early. Waited in line 45 minutes to get in. There is nowhere to purchase food or drink but you are allowed to bring your own. Many people come in with coolers and chairs.

  • Kerry-Ann Robinson

The day was so hot that it made the water even more enjoyable. Such a pity we can only do 2 hr blocks. But we have to keep safe due to covid measures. Pool team were friendly, patient and helpful.

  • First name Last name

Good pool And fun slides (I recommend purple and blue) four stars because it is too shallow at the end of the sides. It’s not even 3 feet at the bottom of the slide! Deepest it gets is 12 feet.

  • Steven Hart

Great place to cool down and not that expensive to bring your whole family I love going down the slides and it’s a well maintained outdoor and indoor pool Can’t wait to come back next summer

  • Nathan Hicks

We've been twice now. The price is amazing. The pools and splashpads and waterslides are great. There are a lot of lifeguards on duty all the time, which is fantastic. Love going here.

Nice water park with 4 water slides. Great area to bring young children with life guards on duty. Entry price is very reasonable. Washrooms available on site, but no food service.

  • Mike Oakes

Fantastic park, although it hits capacity pretty quick and you might wait for a bit. Also note they do not accept $20 bills or larger. They do however accept debit and credit.

  • Bre Lodge

They keep a safe cap on numbers so things aren't too crowded, there's enough space to set out a spot for yourself, and considering it's a community pool, it has good slides.

  • damon damon

Kids have fun, but we tend to space out our visits because of the sheer quantity of people there. Often lined up waiting to get in. Could use more space for young swimmers.

  • Shaun A

Loads of fun! Very clean and very pleasant staff. Great for really small children all the way up to the big kid adults. Would recommend a trip for splish splash fun.

  • Ray Mackintosh

It's great, slides are very cool, spray pad is quite fun, you won't need to bring a chair with lots seating if you're early-ish, pools are big with 2 diving boards.

  • Sherman Asperin

Nice little waterpark. Lots of lifeguards on duty. Clean and not excessive for chlorine in the water. More chairs would be nice bit over all good for its size.

  • haylee aquino

Great water park for the summer! Front desk staff were really kind and patient with the Karens that came in, I wouldn't have been, they deserve a raise!

  • Niall McFadyen

Great place to bring kids. Reasonably priced. Four smaller water slides, a splash pad, and deeper pool. Get there early to get a good seating location.

Great waterpark. It's much more reasonable than Fun Mountain and you can bring your own food in. Only missing a hot tub.

  • Ruben Barrios

Pool is great and have different sections for different ages but there is few shade places if you want to stay outside.

  • Joe Deez

I fricking love this place. All of the slides and pools are super fun! and its a great place to hang out with the boys!
