Having booked quite a few cruises and holidays through Travel Associates at Glenelg (Adam Crossman) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Our last holiday for example. We had already arrived in Singapore when our cruise was cancelled the day before we were due to leave. It only took one phone call to Adam back in Australia and he arranged the nightmarish job of trying to get us home. All who were on the cruise were also trying to arrange flights. He kept us up to date with all the arrangements and for that we were very grateful. After arriving home and covid really hit, he followed up everything until we received all our credits ( including return flights). We have already booked 2 more holidays through him which we hope will materialise. Travel agents have taken a real hammering through covid ( along with a lot of other businesses) and we are very pleased that Travel Associates at Glenelg have managed to survive this. I truly think that clients have stayed with them because of the service that they provide.

DID NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS We used Escape Travel to book our honeymoon to reduce the work and stress involved in organising a wedding. One of our key requirements was to be able to use our Frequent Flyer Points to enable an upgrade to business class. Unfortunately this request wasn’t met, and the staff at Escape Travel didn’t seem to have the knowledge around the Frequent Flyer program. When this issue was raised with them, they failed to get back to me and I had to chase them. This created a lot of stress which is the exact thing we were hoping to avoid. Other areas that could be improved (1) Clearer communication around the fees involved with the interest free credit card, and (2) Better advice around the airport transfers – we found them to be inefficient (significant amount of time spent waiting for them) and costly – next time we will be using a cab for sure. Overall, I wasn’t happy with my experience and I think we will be booking future holidays without the use of a travel agent.

Donna Woodhouse has been ‘our’ travel agent for the past 13 years. During this time, thanks to her worldly knowledge, she has assisted us in planning some amazing overseas journeys. Without her sound advice we would have found ourselves in a precarious (and costly) situation on more than one occasion. The fact that we have relied on Donna’s assistance since 2007 speaks volumes for her professionalism and friendliness. Kerry planned and managed our recent 3 weeks holiday to Italy. Kerry took care of all the airfares, hotel bookings, transit details and day trips. In Kerry's own amazing style, everything was done to perfection even down to our daily schedules all printed and presented in date order. I would give this travel agency (cheating bunch) zero stars if I could. They stuffed up my travel plans meaning new flights had to be booked & so far their risk manager is only offering a 50% refund. For their mistake! Unbelievable. It's been 2 months and still no reimbursement.
