I love this place. Maybe is luck or maybe is just that it is the perfect place for me. I used to come to this store all the time a few years back and stopped because I moved out of the city. Back then it was great but the other day their service got me beyond happy. I had called about 15 other stores looking for a bike for my friend. All of them either didn't have any or didn't pick up which it's okay we are still in the middle of a pandemic. When I call Tread Bike Shop there was a very honest messenge saying that due to high volume of customers they could not assist people on the phone that the best option I had was to pass by and that the inventorywas not updated. I truly appreciated this message because other store placed me on hold for hours and some did not even pick up. I arrived to the store made my line and was lucky enough to find out that they had just gotten a bike like the one I was looking for. They kindly asked me to wait for it to be ensemble. I was able to walk out of the store with my friend's bike after such a journey in NYC and NJ trying to get one.

As usual my experience at Tread was so positive. Everyone I dealt with helped me decide to upgrade my bike to make it more comfortable. From the moment you step into the store you can feel confident that you will be experience the utmost courtesy, professionalism, friendly and competent staff and management, very fair prices, and great products. So happy Tread is my LBS(local bike shop) I love bikes and love Tread bike shop. Ozzie treats you like family, the energy and vibe make you want to hang out in the shop. I have bought a number of bikes at Tread, this last one Ray helped me decide which bike would be best for me and got everything ready for me. Happy with my purchase and Tread!

After my puppy chewed through my bike shoes, I went to Tread Bike Shop ready to purchase another pair. But instead of taking advantage of my money the owner of Tread Bike Shop generously offered to repair the bike shoe instead, something I didn’t know that could be done considering the damage of the shoe. I am very grateful that he went out of his way to research and order the replacement parts and fix the bike shoe, leading me not to have to spend a lot of money on another one. Because of the honest service of this bike shop and the quick recovery of my bike shoe, I give it 5 stars!!

Tread is one of The Bronx' fully stocked bicycle shops. They offer a range of accessories for both large and small units. And, also have a variety of visors for Tour de France types. Haven't I had not had the opportunity to use the service, but it appears to be a well-oiled ship. In the heart of Dyckman city center. The personnel are professional, competent and accessible. This is not a final destination for anybody with a custom/e-bike. But at least they can help with many important issues that frequently arise with the difficult terrain of the region. I'm definitely going back.

Excellent service, candid crew, definitely the best experience among all the bike shops I visited in NYC, very professional, always to give you sincere advice on what you need. They are not trying to sell you stuff to make money. They advise you on what you need and what's necessary for your needs. Also, they are not trying to sell you the most expensive stuff. I was almost embarrassed to take my bike in given its state of disrepair after a couple years of not riding it. But, I wanted to get back in the saddle and my bike needed new gears, a new chain, new tires, and a tune-up. There was no judgement on the part of the staff! They gave me an estimate immediately, checked in with options for the tires, and were transparent about costs. The work was done quickly and was affordable. I'm very grateful to have found a great bike shop the neighborhood!

Service is expensive here. They replaced my spokes but the rim was still out-of-round. Had to have another bike shot fix it (poor quality, not the parts cuz only they had my spoke size) They sold me the wrong tire size based on their data. Had to return twice for exchange. Gotta check them here. They don't know what they're doing. Repair costs always exceed quote here.

The sales associates were very nice. They gave me good advice and was very attentive to my needs. I was pleased with the work that was done to my bikes. Really wanted to make sure these bikes were safe and ready for the kids to go bike riding this weekend. Did a quick test drive in tje parking lot and everything felt right. I bought a bike & had it shipped to the store. I was suprise on how quick it was build. I was thinking it would take a few days but I got a call the next day the bike was Ready. I was super excited, and thankful that I was able to leave out the store in my new bike. The employee are awesome, helpful, & knowledgeable about bikes & I appreciate that thank you!!

Very helpful and knowledgeable. Took in my road bike for full service job and asked then to replace some parts I had bought outside of the shop. They did it at no charge and did a great job replacing the old parts with new ones. Good communication on what needed to be fixed and when my bike was ready for pick up. Would recommend.

Very helpful staff. Everytime I walk in with an issue I either don't have the time or the tools to figure out or fix, they do their best to help me. Good selection of bikes as well. Wish they had a larger selection of bike accessories, tires, etc, but I understand that's easier said than done. Still a 5/5 shop in my book.

I've gotten work done on my bikes here, and bought my sons bike here as well. When the seat on my new sons bike couldn't be lowered enough, they ground down some parts at no cost to make sure it was just the right fit. They are honest and don't try to upsell. Definitely not a pretentious shop, they welcome questions.
