After hunting for months for a new mountain bike I narrowed it down to a couple models, one of which was the 2019 Trek Roscoe 8. I called and spoke with Alex, he was extremely helpful and took the time to answer all of my questions and elaborate on some of my concerns, I'm a bigger guy 6'2" 240lbs and wasnt sure if I needed a 19" or 20 1/2" Alex said they had one 19 in stock and he would hold it for me to come try the next day. When I arrived they actually had a 19 and 20in held for me Alex did his due diligence and called around to the other stores after we spoke and actually located the larger bike for me thinking that that may be a more viable option. Turns out he was right the 20.5 was perfect for me I purchase the bike and within about 20 minutes that had my rims switched to tubeless and installed the new pedals I purchased I took my bike out to White Water the same day and it's a night and day difference between this and my old bike, I couldn't be happier with this amazing bike and the exceptional service that Trek of North Charlotte provided, the fact that they offer free lifetime small tune-ups at no charge and lifetime Tyre Service for only $40 was a great added benefit! I'll be honest I called around to a lot of other stores to check on the other brands I was interested in and not a single person was even close to as helpful as Alex was on the phone I also spoke with the service tech there for an extended period of time, unfortunately I can't recall his name but he was also extremely helpful in getting me set up for my test ride while I waited for Alex to finish up with his customer. The service tech shared some of his own experiences of riding with me and help me pick out the perfect pedals and convinced me to go tubeless while I was waiting for Alex. Thanks Trek of North Charlotte and Alex I will be back when it's time to upgrade my wife's bike. I would happily recommend this company to anyone looking for service, parts or a new rig. So about 2 years ago during covid, I decided to start getting my health in order. I am 6’6’ and was about 400lbs. I had friends that rode mountain bikes which always sounded fun to me but I never tried. I had an old Walmart mtn bike but it was in hapless condition. I went to the bike shop, and they were out of basically everything due to the covid demand for bikes….their response though was great….bring it in and we will make a “Frankenbike”….meaning, they would strip what I had, and replace all the major components and get it in working order so it would ride like the best Walmart bike ever….So I did that, and it was truly great…almost a year later as, bikes were starting to become available, they let me know that there was one across town at a different shop in the specs I was looking for. (again, at 6’6” I am limited)….at that point I had already lost about 150lbs from diet and a lot of exercise which included the mtn bike. So I got the new trek fuel ex5 (love it)…I have been back for service/tune a few times now, and the people there must be hired first on their kindness and attention to customer service and second on know how. They really treat you well, and are nothing but encouraging and helpful. It is daunting when you are new to a sport, and morbidly obese, and you are going into a shop that is full of fit athletic people….and they couldn’t have been nicer. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you Trek Bicycle Store of Charlotte, I hope I can pay it forward. (BTW, Down to 220 now, and feeling great)…

I went into Trek of North Charlotte to purchase a commuter bike and was taken care by Spencer. He was able to answer all my questions and guided me through the process of picking out the right bike for me. I had asked to pick up my bike at later in the week when i had the chance to ride it back to my home. He offered to deliver the Bike that afternoon after his shift. He followed through with his promise and stated that with all that is going on in the world at the moment it was the least he could do. I also noticed he was a Veteran. Trek is extremely lucky to have Spencer as an employee. He is the epitome of what customer service is all about and made my experience at Trek an exceptional one. I also want to thank Trek for employing our wonderful veterans who's ultimate sacrifice allows to be able have the freedom to bike all through this wonderful country of ours. Thank you Trek and most of all thank you Spencer to making my experience outstanding!I will definitely promote this store in the future.

My wife and I went into the Trek store in North Charlotte looking for some assistance with purchasing new bikes for both of us. We were met by a very nice and friendly sales person (Marci)who proceeded to ask us questions about our wants and likes concerning a bike. After several minutes of discussion she proceeded to show us several different types of bikes and let us test ride them to see how we liked them. After several laps around the store my wife and I both felt like we had found exactly what we were looking for. We wanted something that we could ride around the neighborhood and on smooth trails but was extremely comfortable and safe. We settled on the Townie bike as it met all of our expectations. We then had to decide on colors and accessories for them. Less than 2 weeks later we had our bikes in hand and been enjoying them ever since. Great experience!! Marci was great! We would recommend this store for all your bike purchases!!

I have been stopping by for the last 4 -5 months repairing items on my mt fury road master mtn bike it started out with break pads then tires next pedals then I came in for an enspection and Alex spot a problem I had broke one of my gear ratios on my back wheel so he ordered it for me. Next thing I know on this past Thurrsday last week I was on the way home and my back break broke off my frame onto my wheel. So I came in the store and just gave in and I purchased a TREK 820 mountain bike I was told it will meet my everyday needs I bike 9 mi to school and back home 18 mi and 4 mi to work and back home 8 mi. So if I was to be scheduled on a day I had school I would have biked a total of 26 mi in one day. If I had full work schedule and school for 5 days I would have biked a total of 76 something mi. I want to thank trek for giving me a new life line and means of reliable transportation!!!

Colin and the service team at Trek Northlake are exceptional. I recently had a SRAM AXS shifter that wasn't working, so after Colin checked and confirmed it should be a warranty issue, he called SRAM the next business day. SRAM said that they likely wouldn't have stock again until January or February - so no riding unless I replaced the drivetrain - bad news. I was surprised to get a call from a very happy Colin later that week telling me a shifter had arrived from SRAM to replace my broken one. Having a group of expert technicians that you can trust with your expensive bikes, and that go out of their way to treat customers with such courtesy and attention is increasingly rare, and I want to thank Colin and the Trek North Charlotte team again for help. PS - special thanks as well to SRAM for finding an AXS shifter in stock and getting it shipped to the store!

I recently purchased a non-Trek mountain bike from another place. I stopped in for a chainstay protector because I was getting excessive chain slap.  Even though I didn't buy the bike from them, they were extremely friendly and helpful taking the time to answer any questions I had. After a quick inspection, and computer search on my brand, they determined I had the wrong chain for my bike.  Had them install the new chain and they even made some other adjustments for me. Now the bike rides so much better with a lot less slapping. The technology on these bikes can be intimidating for the newbie/casual enthusiast and I would totally trust these guys. They are knowledgeable and professional but most of all deliver excellent customer service.  They went above on beyond what I was expecting.

Just went in to have a chain measured and installed for my Trek 820. Had great conversation with the technician about cycling. Although I am new to cycling I wasn't looked down on. In fact I was given lots of pointers. My Trek 820 was a craigslist bike in need of some cleanup work and a tune up. However I was never pressured to have anything done outside of replacing the broken chain. The replacement took 10 minutes tops and that was because the checkout process took a little longer due to some computer problems. I would rate a 5 but due to the minor work on my bike I will rate a four for now. Awesome customer service, quick work, made me feel like I am talking to a cycling enthusiast and not a pushy sales person. Keep it up guys and we will keep coming back for sure.

I don't think I can begin to explain how happy and excited I am! From the moment I walked into Trek to when I walked out with my new bike I was very impressed! Sydney greeted me right away when I came in not knowing what size bike I needed. Immediately she fitted me to the correct size and let me do a test ride. I knew what bike I wanted and she met all of my needs and answered all of my questions. I then went back the next day to pick up my Marlin 6 and Chris finished helping me out. He added a few accessories I wanted and explained a little more about the bike. I cannot thank these two enough! I cannot wait to get out on the trails with my brand new ride!! Also, y'all made me a customer for life! Thank you!!!

I had a phenomenal purchasing experience. I had done some preliminary online research on what bike to get for my 6 year old son. I’m terrible with names but I think it was Carlos that helped me finalize my decision. Most folks would have stopped there, but he asked me a lot of great questions that helped me realize some accessories that I should consider for our upcoming adventures. I left with not only the bike I was looking for, but several other small things that are going to help me be prepared for the adventures that ensure when you buy a six year old a bike to come ride with you!! I could keep going, but just know that the service here is top notch and the vibe is super friendly and laid back.

Wouldn't recommend this store. The employees were out of it. Came to look for a bike and was told the bike was going to be there and ready the next day. Came the next day and the employe kept staring in the computer looking for it and I finally said "if it's recently built, shouldn't you be able to see it somewhere around here" and sure enough it was standing right there. Then, had to buy a bike in Holland on a trip there, which was already put together except that the handlebar and the peddles needed to be put on. They quoted $75 and said they couldn't get to it for at least a week. Now this is something that wouldn't even take 3 minutes and shouldn't cost more than $20! Bad service all around!

Have been coming to this shop for years, and this past visit was not what I was used to. Went in to have my wheels (pot hole accident) checked to see if they could be repaired. Also wanted to see if the tires would set to the rim after being fixed. Well, the rims were bent back and rims trued but the tires were never checked to see if they would hold to the rim. Noticed that nothing was written down, so it was expected to not have everything I asked to have done..done. They even lost the axle cover that was on the wheels…think it’s time for a new bike shop. Are the people at this shop all new? Where are the people from a few years ago? They were awesome. This crew is not. Disappointed.

Hubby and I just walked into this location looking for a bike for him. Let’s just say I have never walked into a store where we were totally ignored. Nobody acknowledged us. There was maybe another couple in the store, that’s it. Guess they won’t be getting our business, too bad. I will be sure to tell people never give this business any business at all. Too bad I can’t leave ZERO stars. We had to walk out after being in the store for about 10 minutes or so and nobody asked if we needed help, said hi, said we will be with you, etc.

The service was fantastic! We were greeted immediately we arrived to pick up a bike we ordered. And, it wasn't just grab the new bike and go.. The bike was fitted, went on not one but two test rides. ALSO, totally complete sale.. helmet, tube, patch were purchased. But, the rest of the gear and accessories were offered (we were just all set already). I felt like when we left we had everything we needed, but not like it was some high pressure selling, just complete customer service from friendly and knowledgeable sales guy. We knew we would have what we needed to ride! Highly recommend this location! Thanks!

I’m a complete “Noob!” Straight novice. I walked in pretty insecure about how to approach purchasing a new bike since I’m about to turn 40 and the last time I rode a bike I was 14! Sydney and the rest of the staff made me feel extremely comfortable and answered all my questions with certainty. I purchased a Marlin 5 and was stern on the dark aquatic color. Sydney fought for me and got one ordered, in my size and I only had to wait 6 days for it to arrive!! I will 100% recommend you guys to anyone I pass that is interested in a new bike!! Thanks to everyone that made my experience a great one.

Don't believe their sales pitch on the warranty. Was told that bikes came with a warranty and that I could trade in my old bike for a new one. Not true. Apparently my 30 lb 2 year old was strong enough to damage their $120 bike, and they would not honor the warranty or take it back as a trade in. The wheel is crooked. "I won't be able to resell that" were their words. Not something they mention when selling you the bike. Horrible experience. And it wasn't just one rogue employee. Several we're standing around and saw the situation. It's the store's culture, not one guy's decision.

I am very pleased and happy to have found Trek Bicycle Store of Charlotte - Perimeter Parkway Location. I was able to get the work done on my ebike I requested (new bike seat, new seat post) in addition to them fine-tuning and repairing things they saw my bike needed which I was unaware of. I appreciate that they also wash your bike as part of their repair package. My bike looked like new again. The staff is very professional and friendly and remain so even when it gets hectic/busy. I will be taking my ebike back here from now on when the need arises. Thanks Trek, you ROCK!

I brought in a mid 70’s bike for tires and was blown away by the effort and attention the staff gave to this project. It took a few tries to find tires that would work on the old rims but their solution was fantastic! They went above and beyond to work on other parts of the bike that I didn’t know could be improved upon and when I came to pick it up, I could not believe how nice it looked! Their efforts were amazing and appreciated. This was the second time I had been here (the first of which was for tires on a newer bike) and would absolutely recommend them to everyone!

Trek Northlake is a excellent bike shop that is both consistently reliable and cost effective. As an avid cyclist I’ve owned lots of bikes throughout the years and most of them have been Trek bicycles (MTB, road, gravel, single speed). I depend on their staff (Alex, Ryan, Collin) for advice regarding training rides, repairs, and upgrades. Everyone who works in this shop is very knowledgeable about the overall cycling market (bikes/accessories) and is very approachable whether your a newbie or advanced. I strongly recommend Trek Northlake to anyone interested in bicycles.

I’ve been in the Charlotte location 3+ times. I’ve purchased a cold weather riding jacket, cell phone holder and today a water bottle cage. I’ve even sent a person to purchase one of the cold weather riding jackets. About every time I’ve been in I’ve been asked if I’m in the system. I always give the same answer. No! Funny thing is no one has taken the time to put me in the system. Every time I’ve go into the competitors store (REI) they’ve asked me if I was a member. Every single time until I eventually signed up. Probably want be visiting this store for awhile.

Can't recommend them enough. Hands down the best bike shop inside and out. You aren't just a customer to Trek, you become part of the family - regardless of what bike you buy or come in with for help. Their staff is super knowledgeable and on point when it comes to any biking questions or needs. Whether that's getting a new bike, fitted to one, picking out the accessories you need, or buying fuel for before/during/after rides - a great one stop shop. Great Service!!!! The staff here from the Manager, Nathan and his wrench staff went way out of their way to make my bike perfect. If you are looking for a place that really wants to help you in finding the right bike, this is your shop! Their knowledge and professionalism will keep me as a customer for life. By the way I did visit other Trek Dealers but when I asked about the 9.9 Elite I heard the same response, we don t stock it.

Had a great experience with this store! They sold us two bikes that we absolutely love and even have a program where if you ride a certain number of miles you get a t-shirt. That is a really cool way to inspire you to keep riding! My brakes were messing up and I took the bike in. They were incredibly helpful and gave a few pointers on how I had not maintained it correctly! When I went to get my brakes fixed they were absolutely slammed and were getting phone calls non stop, but they were polite and powered through the crazy!

Had a really great experience at Trek North Charlotte (Northlake). Was having fitment issues with my, wait for it, GIANT Defy Advanced! That’s right, not a Trek. Jason absolutely treated me great and made sure my needs were met. Multiple, multiple adjustments to get me feeling comfortable on my bike. Made sure and had me go test ride it to see if we needed to adjust anything else. Top notch guy and very easy to deal with. Thank you sir!!! Hands down the best bike shop in the Charlotte area. Friendly, knowledgeable, patient and they take the time to explain the minor details to you. Trek of CLT is not just about selling you a bike, they are also about selling you fun and adventure. Trek of CLt’s post purchase customer service is absolutely the best Ive ever experienced. The employees at Trek (at the Northlake location) were very patient with me while trying to fit me with a bike. Having had a knee replacement within the last year, I needed a step-thru bike and one that was the perfect size for me and allowed me to stretch my legs to the correct angle/length while pedaling. We found the perfect bike for me in the Trek Verve 2 Disc Lowstep. LOVE LOVE the bike...extremely comfortable to ride and easy to get off and on. I used to ride a lot in my younger days, and since then bikes have changed a ton. This particular Trek store has a really great staff. My person helping me was named Alex, and he was fantastic. He patiently walked me through all the new road bike models (which are all awesome) and gave me all the info I needed to make a decision. Trek bikes are expensive, but worth the money for dedicated riders (you don't have to be a pro, or a triathlete just dedicated to riding, that makes the investment worthwhile)

I went to this store for repairs to my bicycle; while the repairs are not yet complete, the staff was extremely helpful and very friendly, willing to assist me with any and all matters that arose. The staff also knew much about the products that they sell and even took the time to compare products and explain the differences, as well. This is the first (and only) bicycle shop that I have visited since arriving in the area, and must say that I anticipate utilizing this store for all of my bicycle needs.

Had a great experience at this Bicycle Store! They had a great selection, but it was the staff that really stood out. I bought both a trainer and a bike, and the team took the time, over two visits, to not only help me pick the best equipment for my experience (and save me money), but also took the time to set up the training- and give me an education at the same time. I've been riding bikes for 20 years. This is the BEST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. Yes, they fixed the mechanical issue I identified at good price. But they found some issues I had no idea about. The found them, called the manufacturers of the substandard parts and got them replaced. In the end they treated my bike like it was their own. I got literally 10X back in value that I paid for the original issue. This is my, hands down, one stop, go to, trusted bike source FOREVER.

My cousin told me about Trek; he has been cycling for years and highly recommended them. I was looking for a quality bike for my daughter. I did some research and after talking with my cousin, i kind of knew what I wanted Jason assisted me in sizing my daughter and made some recommendations for me as well as answered my questions. Set up an appointment to get a bike, and my friend wanted in too, so we both ended up coming and purchasing. I initially called and spoke with Chris, and he was also present the day of my purchase to assist. The store, employees, and just overall experience was awesome. Chris is great at his job and made a first time purchaser really happy to have done so at Trek. They set me, and my friend up, and we immediately went on our way to the WW Center for a blast.

My bike had been down due to a flat. I bought an inner tube from Wal-Mart that was a headache and a half. The stem was too narrow plus it was an odd configuration and I couldn't get any air in. I showed up at the Trek store and they had just closed. The lights were out and the door was locked. They still let me in. Most places would have said we're closed come back tomorrow. They gave me courteous, professional service and I didn't have to come back.

My bike finally arrived and I went to the North Charlotte store to pick it up. Upon arrival I was greeted by Sydney who helped me get fit on my bike and got me all setup with EVERYTHING I needed. Obviously there was a long delay because of the bike shortage last year, but I do not blame the location for this. When my bike finally came in they called right away and held it for me even though I wasn't able to get into the shop to complete the purchase for almost a month. Once I finally went in, they were fantastic in getting me set up and in and out quickly. I'm very happy with the experience and I love Trek bikes, so this is a no brainer.

Trek always has reliable, available items for purchase. Their customer service has never disappointed. As things are starting to open up in NC with the Covid-19 pandemic, they were escorting a limited number of customers in at a time, which we greatly appreciate. However, we would have preferred that the Trek staff was wearing masks. Jason was very helpful in picking out, assembling and showing us how to install a new bike rack for our car.

The manager of this store is amazing. We can't remember her name, brown hair, tallish, woman.. we came into the store just to ask some questions about if we were to buy a road bike. Amazing staff and selection. This was my second time buying a MTB and I went to 3/4 different stores before settling for the Roscoe. Initially I was looking for a steam Marin 2 and didn't even consider a Trek bike. But everyone at the store made me felt welcome. They were patient with me and never pushed me to buy. Went to store 3/4 times, test rode 3 times 2 different bikes before settling for the Roscoe.

We have bought many Trek bikes over the years, several from the North Charlotte location. The equipment is always quality and the store gives great customer service. “Santa” recently brought my daughter a new bike for Christmas and the North Charlotte staff worked with me to hold on to the new one until it could be picked up as well as a trade in after Christmas. Highly recommend if you want great service!

Purchased Verve 3 and Verve 2 from Trek Northlake and I must say- outside of my house, girlfriend, Invisalign, and car-THESE ARE THE BEST TWO INVESTMENTS I’ve ever made. Biking around town brings me back to my youth and it’s soooo much fun. The electric bikes are a worthwhile investment because you get all the benefits of riding a bike, with half the effort! Great for commuting and riding around town

Can’t say enough good things. Warm, honest, and knowledgeable staff that completed my bike service two days early. They even gave me a call to say the level 3 I paid for was overkill and gave me a partial refund to downgrade to level 2. Can’t really ask for more despite the obvious supply chain issues plaguing the whole industry and they were happy to put me on a waitlist for the part on backorder.

Rude staff! Paid a fortune for bike to have it shipped to my son and they made a ding in the bike. They also did not call me to finalize shipping and waited to last minute to get it in box to ship. Carelessness on the part of the workers in store. They need customer service training. I would drive to Asheville or Raleigh before I would ever use this trek store for anything.

Very helpful in resolving my brake issue, working tirelessly to figure it out - even calling Shimano a couple of times to get expert support and some replacement (warrantable) components. Seth took good care of me and got me back on the road. Can't wait to ride again. Even though my bike wasn't a Trek, they had the expertise to resolve my service issue.

After trying other brands of bikes my wife and I were immediately sold on Trek. The staff at the Charlotte Northlake store were very friendly and knowledgeable. We also bought a hitch mount bike carrier for our car that they assembled and show us how it mount to the car and how to properly mount the bikes on it. We would highly recommend Trek bikes.

I had an older Trek Bike repaired / refurbished. Everyone was friendly and courteous to me, even though I didn't have a hi-end bike. They explained all of the repairs - shifters, chain, tires, etc. All of the repairs were complete within 2 weeks. Price for repairs was less than I would have guessed. Purchased Roscoe 8 about 60 days ago. No overview of the bike at purchase and have been trying to get ahold of a team member for service for 5 business days. No one will answer the phone, voicemail is full, and no response to email. This goes for the North and South locations. Had to take the bike to bicycle sport for tune up and repairs.

Amazing service, but repair parts can be a bit expensive. In today's repair example, I'm ok with paying $40 for a $28 chain replacement + $10 to install it as I brought my bike by after breaking it and they quickly fixed it while I waited. Solid, knowledgeable staff.
