Short Version: It was a no brainer decision to choose TrenchFree for our sewer lateral replacement. +No inspection fee +Most competitive quote among 6 competitors +Best (lifetime) offered warranty +Price included the required building permit +Every interaction was professional and timely (Thanks Felipe and Jose!) Long Version: At the end of 2020 we discovered that our sewer lateral had rotted through in the middle of our yard, and also had major root intrusion under the sidewalk causing monthly backups. The initial quote from the plumbing company that performed the unclogging was nearly $20K for a full replacement out to the main. I immediately started shopping around for competing quotes, including paying $400+ dollars total in inspection fees to various competitors just for the privilege of receiving a quote. My search led me to the TrenchFree website which is very professional and gave me the initial impression that they would probably provide a quote at the higher end of the spectrum, but that was not the case. Felipe at TrenchFree provided a free inspection and an economical quote for a partial replacement of the upper asbestos sewer lateral that had rotted through the bottom, and the middle clay sewer lateral that had major root intrusion. Their price included the building permit, with a quoted per hour price for sourcing an additional encroachment permit that may be necessary. They were pretty backed up (no pun intended) around the end of 2020 but provided a realistic time estimate for sourcing the building permit and starting the work once the contract was signed. An added bonus was that now that we were TrenchFree customers if our lateral clogged again before replacement, they would come out and clear it for free. Jose stayed in contact and called me once their schedule opened up and the permit was sourced to begin the work. The work was completed over 2 days, one full day for the lateral replacement and one morning for the inspection and finishing touches. The crew lined up the encroachment permit, but was able to complete the job without digging up the sidewalk or pavement so they cancelled the permit and didn't even bill for the time they spent sourcing it (saving me $1000+). After payment I was provided a copy of the building permit for my records. Our yard is semi-landscaped and is in the same condition as before the work was performed, which is impressive given the amount of dirt that was excavated. As a homeowner the entire process was seamless and the TrenchFreee team made it as positive and experience as possible. I highly recommend this company!

I can truly cannot recommend TrenchFree and their team enough. For a solid year, we've been having plumbers visit our house every 2-3 months to fix repeat issues. Finally, we spoke with TrenchFree. When all the other companies we spoke with were going to charge $150+ to run a camera in our lines and find the issue, they offered a free estimate. The workers at our house were all incredibly friendly and professional, and got to work quickly. They were able to identify a problem with our pipes outside our house that every other plumber had missed. Within days we received a quote back, and they were on site to fix the issue. They even came during 106 degree weather, on a Friday going into a holiday weekend, to make sure the job was done right. Lastly, and this is where they truly won me over: Once the job was complete, we thought an issue had arisen that still wasn't fixed. Within 24 minutes of me hitting "send" on my email, they were back at the house and fixed the problem -- even when it turned out it was OUR fault and nothing they did. Please let me stress this:: do not waste your time pouring through lists of reviews, looking for plumbers who cut prices in order to raise them in other spots. TrenchFree doesn't have the same number of reviews as some of the other companies, so they may get overlooked. Don't make my mistake. Call TrenchFree the FIRST time, and they'll be your last call ... not your fifth, like they were for us. A+ work. Everyone was amazing. Thank you for a great experience!!

We have an old home (by local standards), and our main waste line was buried under our slab foundation. The line was cracked, with dips and accumulated rust and gunk to the point of failure. Digging it up was unthinkable. TrenchFree came highly recommended, with a solution for our situation. They provide a cure-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining that essentially builds a new pipe inside the old janky one. Working with them was one of the best experiences I've had with a contractor/service provider. They came out to inspect, and showed us the issues with the line in real time with their inspection camera. This was not inexpensive work, so we got a few additional opinions. Comparing the bid experience, the referrals we got, and the confidence we felt in the proposal, we accepted the bid. The crew that came out to do the work were professional, neat, quiet, respectful, and skilled. They put in a full two days to complete the project, and kept us updated as they worked. When they were done, they buttoned up and left our home as clean as they found it. First, the CIPP solution was sort of magical. Amazing how it works, and absolutely perfect for our situation (hopefully it lasts!) Second, and equally importantly, I really could not have asked for anything more from the company. They are a quality team who care about customer satisfaction. It's a no-brainer to give them a full 5 stars.

The City of Morgan Hill started in June 2022 a new requirement for PSL (private sewer line) Inspections prior to selling a house. They also have a Grant Program that reimburses the homeowner up to 50% of costs for repair or replacement. I requested my first replacement bid from TrenchFree and Carlos came out and viewed the video I received from the inspection I paid for from another company that doesn't do repairs but used his own camera to view the sewer and gave a free esitmate. I needed two more estimates for the Grant Program, it was like pulling teeth to get the estimates and some Contractors wanted to charge from $250-500 just to give a bid. I submitted my three bids and the city chose TrenchFree as the lowest and approved the Grant. I can't say enough about how great they were to work with all while I had already relocated out of state for retirement! Probably not space to mention all the contacts I had but Thanks Carlos for getting it all started and to all the others involved! With the reports/video I received and submitted, I was informed by the city that all looks good and my check from the Grant Program will be on the way! I can't speak for other services but to All Home Sellers, if you need a PSL Inspection/Repair/Installation TrenchFree is the one to go with! Frank E, Gardner

I was duped into installing a clean out at the front of my property years ago by a TrenchFree employee to “solve” the foul odor problem I was detecting. He spun a long yarn about how the smell was emanating from our sewer lateral, which was buried four feet beneath our lawn. I learned later that the smell was coming from Ginko tree berries that had fallen across the street and wafting over with the breeze. Long story short, I was conned into digging up my lawn and needlessly spending a couple thousand dollars. When I contacted TrenchFree about this later, they told me that this issue was between me and the employee and that they had nothing to do with it. I know that small claims court is a joke and I wasn’t gonna retain a lawyer due to the additional cost and headache. When you call an “expert” you expect some expert advice. TrenchFree may have ironed out their business practices since, but that doesn’t put the money I was conned out of back in my pocket. Updated review: I called TrenchFree about this issue back when it happened, detailing everything I mentioned in my review, and they took no responsibility for it back then. Urging me to call you again is disingenuous.

DON'T START REPLACING YOUR SEWER LINE WITHOUT MULTIPLE BIDS!! I received six quotes to replace the 60-year old sewer line from my house to the street.  Of the first four quotes requested, two of the contractors declined because they did not have the necessary equipment to do the job.  BOTH of them suggested TrenchFree.  I subsequently got a bid from Trenchfree, which was less than ONE FIFTH the price of the first bid I received! TrenchFree came on time with a full crew on the scheduled date, based on the city's inspection calendar, and completed the work in one day, in spite of having to dig through 3 feet of concrete at the city-side of the sewer line.  They were EXTREMELY polite, respectful, and professional and did excellent work.  Every single person I interacted with from Trenchfree seemed to care greatly about my job.  My sewer line ran under my cement aggregate front porch to get under the house, and under my 4 ft wide brick walkway to the street.  Both were left completely intact. They do this every single day - they know what they're doing.

I found they were working on my neighbor's sewer and called them for estimation for my church. There was an offset between 2 sections which the other company couldn't get through to give me a video of the whole sewer line, somehow Trench Free was able to wiggle and get through which surprised me already. The offset area also caused blockage of the sewer line,. Then we scheduled repair just for this section since other areas are pretty OK. They came in about 1 hour late due to the work of the other job. In short, I really like their job. Very professional, fast, neat, reasonable price. They provided me a video of entire sewer line which makes me much more comfortable without worrying other areas. They cleaned up work area very nicely and even fixed sprinkler which probably damage long time ago. Yes, Trench Free definitely is on my recommendation list. Thank you!

TrenchFree replaced my sewer main and did a great job. They were easy to work with, and very responsive to questions I had along the way --they came out to give me the estimate within a day after I called them. Once I gave them the go ahead for the job, they completed it in a day as well. Everything went smoothly and they were friendly and communicative. They even cleaned the utility markings off the sidewalk a month later when I emailed them that the heavy rain hadn't washed the markings off. Sometimes it's the little things that make great customer service. Thanks guys!

Trenchfree recently replaced a very old clay pipe sewer line, that had a lot of tree root issues, with the HDPE pipe. They handled the challenges in the replacement very well, as the original installation was very old. They installed brand new clean outs and there was no trace of any digging after they finished the work. They took care of pulling the permits and getting the city inspection ( done via zoom due to Covid).. On the whole an excellent job well done by a dedicated crew.

I was offered a fair and reasonable quote for the installation of a 2 way clean out in front of my home. TrenchFree team did a great job at matching the original pathway stones after the installation, I can barely see the difference from before. The team recorded a video when running the camera in the sewer system, and hydrojetted the roots infesting my pipes. Extremely satisfied with their services. Thank you to the TrenchFree team.

They did a wonderful job replacing my sewer and water lines. Carlos came for the estimate and demonstrated an impressive professionalism and genuine care about my problems. Price was very reasonable. Crew very friendly, explaining what they are doing. After job was completed everything was cleaned up to the degree that is undistingvitional from the original state. Would highly recommend this company.
