The absolute WORST hospital to ever go to in your life time. I rather go to a hospital in a third world country than get treated like a peasant by these nurses. Putting there hands in my face and telling me I don’t need to be here because I simple and kindly asked the nurse to clean her machine before hooking it up on me. Another nurse started yelling at me about how it’s not her job to clean up??? Instead of these nurses complaining about a patient that CLEARLY needs to be seen by a doctor (I have been here for more than 24hrs) They choose to ignore all my concerns and just bad mouth me the whole time. I got told that my concerns are not worth being talked about - I had the security get called on me because I asked for another nurse. I have never felt so disrespected and got treated like trash in my entire existence until this visit to this hospital. A NURSE should NEVER raise her HAND or VOICE to a patient that is asking for HELP- I was not being rude or disrespectful, I simply asked them to help me with my concerns. I have been asking them to see a manager for the past 12 hours and no one has come yet. They just keep throwing cards at me and telling me to call their complaint line- instead of dealing with the situation on the spot. The nurse that raised her hand and voice to me also said she didn’t care about my concerns, my health, my wellbeing, told the other nurses they don’t have to worry about me, and that they should just keep me in a corner for as long as possible and she also told security that she doesn’t have to deal with me WHILE standing there and yelling at me when she could have just walked away. I am too sick and too weak to even stand up for myself. I have OCD and really bad anxiety. The problem here is that you walk into a healthcare facility and NOTHING IS CLEAN. You ask someone kindly to clean their station or the machine they’re using and they refuse to do so- but are so quick to tell you to put a mask on (like that makes a difference) I’ve seen a nurse wear the same gloves on MULTIPLE PATIENTS!!!! that to me is just ridiculous and DISGUSTING. These nurses need to be RE TRAINED OR REMOVED. Again, one of the WORST HOSPITALS TO EVER GO TO. If you don’t mind waiting 12 hours and catching a disease before you even see a doctor this is the hospital for you. Aside from the nurses, the DOCTORS were all very kind and willing to work with me and all my concerns. (PEOPLE THAT WENT TO REAL SCHOOL WITH MORALS AND VALUES- THE NURSES DONT HAVE) the doctors even took my side when addressing my concerns and even advised me to tell the nurses how I felt about what they were doing and how they were treating me. I have no problem talking to the doctors about my problems and conditions but the NURSES who think they are even qualified to say anything about how I feel or how I should feel is WRONG in EVERY WAY. These nurses are NOT HUMAN and should NOT be allowed to treat patients like this. I repetitively asked the nurses to stop being abusive towards me because of my anxiety and they continued to talk to me with disrespect. When I spoke to the security, he informed me that what I was saying was correct and I have every right to be upset with the way they are treating me . I have so much more to say but I am having high blood pressure as I am writing this review. This is the LAST TIME this hospital sees my face. I really hope these nurses get this message and fix up. Considering this hospital has 2.4 stars just says it all. You will never see me in this hospital ever again.

Review for Labour Assessment and Birthing/ delivery and NICU We rushed to hospital in emergency when my water broke at 34 weeks. I was immediately taken to LAU and the nurses started with all necessary tests and treatments. They admitted me in the post partum unit until I deliver my child. I was regularly examined and monitored for my baby’s health in the womb with regular ultrasounds, vitals checkup, baby movement count and much more. Christine in the LAU dept did wonderful job. Nurses in post partum unit like Anna were so kind and helpful. When I started feeling labor pain she comforted me and made me feel homely. The birthing unit nurses were also supportive to me. Nurse Priti was my delivery nurse and she was like a sister to me during my tough time. Helping with the delivery, skin to skin, first family picture, cleaning myself, all know how guide post delivery was done by Priti. My OB Dr. Neetika Sidana was on duty when I was admitted. She had a very busy day with multiple emergency deliveries and she was totally exhausted. Even then she double checked with my baby’s health and ensured risk free delivery. She explained me all the possible scenarios and what to do in case of emergency. She also met me in the morning before she left for home and immediately came to see me in my room when she got to know that I delivered the baby. My delivery doctor was Dr. Kelly Chu. She is a good doctor. She may scold you if you do not let her do her work. Otherwise she is kind and perfect OB. Lactation consultants Linda, a very kind understanding person teaches you how to lactate and feed your baby. Some Cons Post partum the hospital is in a rush to discharge you. Also, there is no assistance for postpartum bath or hot tub massage which is essential for every woman delivering the baby. The food provided here is not suitable to everyone. Make sure to get your specific diet by discussing with the nurse. If you are busy in all the tests and treatments you might have to eat cold food or may go without food They do not have sleeping arrangements for support person. This makes the support person totally exhausted. Some pros Hospital provides with necessary stuff that you need after delivery like maternity pads, Peri tube, breastfeeding guidelines, warm sheets, and much more Nurses are good on average except few who are not that supportive. You are lucky if you get a good nurse. At NICU, your baby gets the best treatment. The proficient nurses, Dietician Molly, team of Doctors and Paediatrician are regularly particular and examine the babies time to time. The 24*7 allowance of parents to be with their baby and a family lounge makes you feel at home away from home. Nurses care for your baby like mothers. Nurse Rosebelle, Dharti, Jenny and Jyothy are the best of all. One of the nurse at NICU is rude and always make new parents feel low and uneducated on taking care of baby. She do not treat babies gently. I saw her treating babies roughly, bending down with baby in hand, not supporting baby’s head and shakes baby a lot. It is a request to NICU to please educate nurses on this.

Disrespectful towards patients. Rushed to hospital by Ambulance from Airport due to Anaphylaxis shock due to Dogs. Had to spend 4 days in the hospital. First of all I wear a Medic Alert around my neck. You would think the Ambulance and the hospital would call to find out about my medical conditions from medic alert. First of all most of the nurses can barely speak basic English. Registration is a joke not to deal with what i have so for my allergies Etc, they put unknown what could happen to me. They could not care less about any conditions that i have. Started to get over the shock of dogs. The kitchen did not bother to check if i am allergic. They gave me a dish with Curry so went into anaphylaxis shock. When i went up stairs to my room heard all the nurses laughing about my allergies and been allergic to bed sheets, Etc and i started to cry about that. The male nurse heard this and came in to comfort me to say it's ok as i was so upset and crying. This is why i gave 2 stars due to the male nurse who cared about me. The other nurses have no respect for others. Also i brought some money with me and looks like some of the nurses help them self to some of the smaller bills that i had with me. This is called theft. And could have called the police. This was the worst experience of my life. Asked the nurse for a towel so i can have a shower she refused to give me one so i used my shirt then put it over the chair to dry. Had to share the bathroom with another person. Knocked on his door to see if he wanted to use it. All of a sudden a large dark nurse comes in the room and starts yelling at me. This alone tells you what goes on. Turns out the nurses had been using my own test strips to check my blood sugar. Am visually impaired and someone cut the string on my walking stick. Depend on that and the hospital is responsible. Thank goodness i packed my walking cane in my luggage for emergency. Could go on but you get the point how bad the medical conditions are at the hospital. This is how the hospital treats a member of the Royal Family and yes i do have a Title. Cheers.!

My wife gave birth at this hospital and it was the worst experience for her and I the first nurse we seen wouldn’t admit my wife without her health card but after telling her the visit was unexpected she still was not trying to admit us she was moving slow seeing my wife in pain. God bless the next nurse we had Andrea she was so nice and so gentle. After Andrea left, the next nurse we got spilled Fanta in our shared room that she got for the mother next to us and and Fanta spilled to our side and they only cleaned the other side of the room. And after sleeping post pregnancy the baby next to us wouldn’t stop crying so I mention to the nurse the baby is crying hysterically she told me it was because the baby was taking a bath come to find out the baby hasn’t had anything to drink for 24 hours because the mommy was trying to breastfeed with no milk coming out the nurse was unprofessional when I brought up the fact and told me “do you want me to kick them out” after I told her to check on the baby next to us. Overall I’m writing this to warning all expecting mothers & father to not have the same experience as my wife and I. Avoid this hospital at all cost. Shoutout Nurse Andrea she was a sweetheart and she shed a tear when my baby was born. Wish our stay would’ve went nicer but All that matters is my baby was born healthy. Overall experience 1/10 and that one is because of Andrea And Ps- if you are trying to get a private room this hospital has so many Covid restrictions you’ll probably not get anything you ask for, even a bath if your pregnant wife is in pain- no gas for pain relief nurse told me she doesn’t know how to use it lol our health care system is a joke allot of nurse getting Covid degrees. honestly I felt like this hospital is more like a jail. Stay safe and avoid Trillium

Horrible service. They could kill you or ruin your life. I went to the ER at 10pm left and 6 am the next day. They said nothing was shown in the x-ray and CT scan and let me go without pain meds, antibiotics etc. I'm sitting here 2 days later with continuous pain and can barely move. They are extremely incompetent and I don't know what to do. I don't want to die but this hospital is a waste of time. The service is the worst I have ever experienced. The doctors and nurses are awful and might kill you Just a garbage dirty place. Second thing that happened is that they didn't tell me they would inject me with morphine. They lied to me about it. This is extremely dangerous and could have ruined my life if I was a recovering addict. At the hospital they suddenly came up to me to inject me through iv with anti nausea medicine. I told the nurse "why are you putting this into me " She replied "doctor requested it and pain medicine", I said that the doctor asked if I had nausea and I said "no". I refused to have it put inside me. Later after going and asking for the promised pain medication as they forgot about me like they did throughout the night they gave me the pain medication. I started feeling very sick from the pain medication and told the nurse I feel very sick, they said "that's not normal " and I told them you know what please give me the anti nausea medicine. They lied and wouldn't tell me that morphine was what they put inside me. They kept refusing all night to mention it until I saw it on my discharge papers. What if I was a recovering addict, they could have completely ruined my life, what if I didn't want morphine for my abdomen pain. Absolutely dangerous and garbage place. Do our tax payer money go to this place that could ruin your life ? Why?

For child delivery related 1. Doctors: 10/10 2. Birthing Nurses: 8/10. Special thanks to Nicola, Ynah, Shanaz, Sharene. No thanks to Olivia - she's to be avoided at all costs. I was lucky she was replaced by Nicola who is a blessing in disguise. I do not want nurses like Olivia who bring their bad attitude or personal baggage into professional lives 3. Post Partum facilities and infrastructure: 3/10. They are from 1990's, even the switches. Food is terrible 4. Post Partum Nurses: 5/10. They won't tell you anything. Come prepared well in advance about caring for your loved ones. When you keep asking for guidance on how to take care of your loved ones, they give a set of leaflets and leave you to your own. Try going through documentation to decide what best to do when your kid gets jaundice AFTER going home. They literally have no concern for the patients well being and only want to "appear doing their job". And at the time of leaving they were asking us to come back in a year. Why? To get the same treatment again? I'd rather try my luck at Credit Valley though from what I hear it isn't that great either... Guess government services mean that you only get so much... I heard a lot about Canada welcoming Immigrants before coming here, but from the very first day, it's been very disappointing... Overall 26/40. Now I understand why the hospital has 2+ stars... EDIT as on 12-Sep-2023: After staying here for 1.5 years, I totally understand that this is how people in Canada live - self analysis and self-googling, self investigation. Because the Gynecologist staff themselves asked us to Google symptoms, next steps and so on. With the medical system understaffed and underpaid, probably this is all that we could afford I guess...

Great hospital nice very friendly and patient nurses despite covid protocol and doctors are also patient and understanding. I have been taking my father there at the cardiac clinic for years now and have always had a good experience here for his pacemaker. My mother spent a few weeks here and it was always a good experience the nurse's were polite and kind, professional and understanding as I would visit her often for dementia diagnostic and assessment they adjusted her meds and way home for a few year now and she past away September last year after 15 years of battling it (88 years old) and she had nothing but praise for her treatment there. My last stay there for seizures post operation and after radiation treatment at Princess Margerit they treated me very well and I am so grateful to the nurses and doctors there I got a C.A.T. scan so they adjusted my meds and sent findings to neurologist, radiologist and family doctor very professional and organized specifically during these trying times with the added inconvenience of covid. This hospital serves a large area and is far better than many other hospitals such as St Joseph health center or West Park health center and Humber River Hospital, Credit valley hospital as I have been to all of them and more and I defenetly feel safe and secure at this hospital. I would definitely recommend this hospital without reservation and give it high praise. the only issue is finding parking of course like most hospitals in G.T.A. area. Thanks for reading and hope this review is helpful and please check out my other reviews and photos stay safe good health God bless if this review is helpful please leave a like

i know my comment will not be seen by any officials nor anything be done on the negligence of the doctor but im still writing so that people can read. 3 days ago my 3yr old sin fell from sofa and hurt his elbow. we took hom to trillium in mississauga as he was in alot of pain and couldn't moce his arm. After 2 hours wait in emergency the doctor came to check him and ordered xrays and just by looking at the arm he said he has nursemaid's elbow and twisted his arm very roughly twice by which my son screamed and sent him for xray. after seeing xray reports he said there is no fracture and thats he twisted the arm because it was dislocated and now its fine and sent us home. the whole night my son was in alot of pain and his elbow got really swollen after coming back from hospital. The next morning he started having fever and easnt moving arm again because it was swollen. we took him back to trillium and this time it was another decent doctor who ordered xray again and just looked at arm and was genle with him. xray reports show lots of fluid from swelling and he said there must be hair line fracture that we cnt detect right now and sent us to orthopedic in credit valley to be seen next morning. so finally on 3rd day my son got to see orthopedic and he said there is a fracture and we put a cast on hom for 19 days. my son suffered from pain, fever swelling and sleeplessness just because of the doctor who twisted his arm without knowing what was wrong.3 days were terrible for us. i wish i could sue that doctor or atleast he should be aware if what worng he had done. i will never go to the emergency at trillium again even though 3 of ny kids were born there.

I never leave reviews but this needed to be done! Due to my husbands vaccination status he was unable to come into the postpartum unit with me after delivering our first newborn (I am not vaccinated either). He got into an argument with one of the head nurses which was rude and told my husband “he should of got vaccinated” if he wanted to come into the room with me. After this little argument one nurse asked me if I felt safe at home- this really irked me as she should have understood our frustration. Funny enough they placed me in a shared room with a vaccinated couple…doesn’t make sense I know. They had ONE nurse for the whole birthing floor so they only checked on us once every four hours. (Mind you I just gave birth and alone) I called three times for a nurse within the hour and no one came due to only having one nurse. (Not my problem). Once the nurse came she was rude and fast and NOT helpful as I needed help breastfeeding. I could not believe the lack of staff and the support of the team in this unit. Moving along to the interior of the hospital. Old and dingy. I felt so disgusted. There were no showers in the postpartum unit and you could not open the washroom door all the way as the sink was stopping it. Old, dirty and small. So so so disappointed in this hospital. The only good thing about my stay was I had my amazing OB deliver my baby. Other than that horrible experience. I will say the nurses in the birthing unit were amazing !!! (Minus that one little incident). Wish we could have done more but purchases donuts and coffees for the birthing floor

The only reason they are getting 2 stars is do to some staff being good at their job. Certain staff in the stroke unit are lazy and don't even want to do their job. Went down to see my mom since she just had a stroke. There was a 3 hour gap from my brother leaving and I getting there. Was told by my mom it took over an hour for any one to respond to her buzzer. At first thought she might of been exaggerating but nope she wasn't. While there she hit her buzzer 20 mins go by and nothing so I walked to the nurses desk where 6 of them were sitting. Told them she rang over 20 mins ago and was told they would get someone right away. Then 10 mins later she hit the buzzer do to no one has came yet and finally after another 15 mins so total of 25 mins after I was told someone would be right in. Went back to nurses desk and told them she is still waiting asked what's going on. 5 at the desk this time. Finally the nurse came in so 50 mins total and when my mom told her what she needed she turns around and says ok I will get the PSW to come in Right after she gets back from her lunch that she just started. I was like hell no she has already waited all most an hour she is not waiting any longer. The nurse looked pissed that I called her out and that she actually had to do her job. The Doctors physiotherapist speech therapist and some of the nursing and PSW staff are good. But a few rotten people destroy it. Also seems if one goes on break no will even check on the others patients. Plus some can be rather rude.

I have to agree strongly with all the one star comments. I had the unfortunate experience of visiting the 100 Queensway's (M) Hospital. I was experiencing chest pain with a slow and irregular heart rhythm. The triage nurse did complete a heart tracing immediately which showed a heart rate of 30 and very irregular. Apparently a heart block? I did ask if it was OK? her reply was it "Looks perfectly normal" I was subsequently sent to a waiting area with continued chest pain. Shortly, about 30 minutes I was called and escorted to a room where a ER Physician spoke with me. Tests were ordered, blood work. The nurse did not complete the blood work, that is. missing one component of it. I waited for hours 7 in fact. When I asked why it was taking so long to get my results, I was informed "We are waiting for a lab value to come back" Sure you were! It was the one the nurse forgot to draw, yet charted as completed. Eventually, I was released back to humanity no wiser or knowing why I was experiencing my current symptoms and still having chest pain. The RN responsible for my care did not even know how to read a cardia rhythm monitor. An ER Nurse no less. This is just a disgraceful facility that has no place to call itself a community hospital for the people. As an update, I subsequently ended up 2months later back in hospital to have emergency treatment for the same heart problem I originally went to the ER for. A problem they denied existed on my first visit yet, I was experiencing the same symptoms.

Extremely poor service. Sitting here is excruciating pain in my back and was elsent to emerg. with Dr's. Notice saying urgent as I am unable to walk or move. HAIZ dept. Called my name over 40 mins ago, but won't take me in since I can't walk and stuck on wheelchair. Entire spine is going numb and even told the nurse I can't sit so long and all she had to say is she can't do anything as there is no nurse to take me in. Really ? If ky spine gets more damage by sitting for so long will Trillium take responsibility?? Or is pushing the patients wheelchair beyond the nurses duty that they rather let patients wait in pain ? Very much in pain and disappointed with Canadian hospital service. I had posted the above 55 mins. Ago been sitting in waiting area of HAIZ since 11am , still waiting for them to find a nurse to take me in. It's now 2:26pm 3:10 -still waiting. No one cares, saying they are busy. Patients after Me.have been taken inside, how is it that triage is available for all new patients who are able to walk or have someone with them to take them in but not for me since 3-4 hrs ? No one has asked me if I need help to use washroom or get water or even painkillers while waiting. Nurses just walk away saying wait they will call you. I feel treated soo poorly in this hospital. Finally in at 3:35. Nurse called name from the room inside and didn't even come out to check when I responded. She just ignored. Finally another patient spoke up for me.

I had CT scan booked for today at Trillium Missisauga and had to wait more than 4 hours to be taken in. The signs everywhere said that waiting period is 1-3 hours. mine was scheduled at 11:30 am and I was taken in at 3:24 pm Problem was that at least 10 patients who came after me around 1:30 -2:00 were taken in before me. The worst part was the rude nurse F. D. who screamed at me that it was different approach, and that's why I had to wait almost 5 hours. I asked her why my appointment wasn't scheduled at different time since it was supposingly different. Every other patient app lasted about 7-10 minitues and there was nothing special about mine, it was 7 minutes too BTW it was the same dr. and same prep time t Fter 4:00 hours I approached her again to check why I have to wait so long and she shouted about special treatment (lie). When I started walking in front of the nurse station back and forth I was taken in within 1 minute.Obviously there was some mistake but instead saying sorry , she lied and screemed trying to cover for mistake. To top it ,they even did't take off patches I had to do it myself. P.S. There are everywere signs saying that waiting period is 1-3 hours.while mine was more than 4 hours Just for record:Nurses and doctors had appointment time on diagnostic imaging order request form and computer screen to check and follow appointment time. Very dissapointed with stuff and their customer approach and service.

I want to thank the entire Mississauga hospital staff for providing my family with the best possible experience during the birth of my first child. The staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating. From the minute we entered the hospital, the instruction was clear and the process streamlined. Speaking from my experience, the staff was absolutely fantastic. The hospital greeting staff even recognized that I was a waiting father and made sure I was led to the birthing suits expeditiously. The nurses and doctors were absolutely amazing. They exceeded our highest expectations. Last but not the least, the supporting staff made sure that we have everything we needed at any time of the day. Overall, we really couldn't have asked for a better experience when it comes to people. When we thanked the staff, they were surprised to hear those words. I understand that as newborn parents, people are stressed and demanding. Please kindly take a step back and appreciate the staff around you. There is a difference between doing your job and doing your job well with pride. I can't say enough good things about the hospital staff we had. I recognize that the facility is aging, the staff is doing the best they can to make the patients life easier. It truly is a demanding job. Nobody is perfect, we all have bad days. The people at the hospital are doing the best they can and I am thankful for that.

Never liked hospitals or even having to visit someone there, and may God protect us from being admitted to one. I will not rate this review based on the actions of staff working there, because I know a depressing place like this, especially after years of a pandemic, takes a huge toll on everyone, but I will rate it based the uncomfortable beds and the not so healthy food they bring to patients, which are important factors in helping a patient recover there. This building is very old and I understand it's very difficult to do any serious renovation in a place like this, especially if it evolves any level of noise, but I am sure they could have easily replaced the uncomfortable beds. Two relatives had to spend a week in this hospital and both hated the beds. How could someone get better without getting a well rested sleep?! As for the food, I was shocked to find out what they serve the patients there. It's not the optimal diet for a speedy and healthy recovery, especially when it includes desserts and sugary drinks without much emphasis on vegetables and fruits. Really disappointing to see the level of public health care like this. I know Canada is still much better than other countries when it comes to the health care system, but there is always room to do better.

My mom was recently diagnosed with a non-aggressive lymphoma by a TEAM of doctors at trillium hospital. She had to have a biopsy done on all of her organs. It was dreadful. They took samples from every organ but her spleen. What a brutal waste of time and painful for my 75 yo mom. She was released with no real answers, aside from having to go to a hospital closer to home to discuss moving ahead with chemo. At her appointment at the Peterborough hospital, they ended up admitting her. She wasn’t well. They did a biopsy specifically of her spleen and wow - they found a large mass! Also, they determined that she has in fact, an aggressive lymphoma. She starts chemo (the highest dose) tomorrow at Peterborough hospital and is seemingly in good, compassionate hands. Let me ask you this trillium hospital - is this misinformation and not doing or even knowing what the correct testing is known as MALPRACTICE ? You people call yourselves health professionals? I am a health professional and I am beyond disgusted with your lack of everything!!!! Again, for those who may read this review, key word : MALPRACTICE!!!! Get some real doctors who didn’t learn their practice by way of the internet. Go to a different hospital to get treated with respect and compassion.

Last evening (09/30) I showed up at the emergency area with a fishing hook firmly penetrated in my right thumb from a fishing trip up North. First, I am amazed to see what the employees have to deal with in an emergency area. From serious cases, police activity, people not using the emergency services for cases that can be treated by a clinic, etc. In spite of all that, the compassion all employees displayed to all patients was incredible. My case was processed fairly promptly and the three people in the triage area I engaged were professional and kind. When I was taken to the minor injuries area, the staff was attentive and caring. I was brought in to a bed , the nurse quickly checked on me and minutes later the Dr. came to see me. “As she said, not every day we see fish hooks in a finger here”, so she took her time to understand the situation, asked for a second Dr.’s opinion and they promptly addressed the issue. All together the entire process took about two hours which considering all cases around me, seemed quite reasonable. In short, I am beyond grateful to have this hospital and such caring professionals near our residence. My sincere thanks to all of them in the emergency area. They are amazing professionals. We are blessed to have them.

Being in the healthcare field I am well aware of the difficulties that can arise. This hospital is the worst I have ever experienced. Staff are disrespectful, rude and dismissive towards the patients and personally didn’t have a clue what they were doing. My loved one was very ill suddenly and not one doctor called me. I later found out from his health records that I requested that he was in fact very ill with many different things but nobody communicated this with his family. When I asked the charge nurse for updates she of course told me the doctor has to do that. Still, I received no call. My loved one died and I later had a conversation with the chief of staff about the so called doctors lack of communication with the family. He said he had spoken to the doctor concerned and he feels very bad and sorry that he couldn’t speak to you. That is not a good enough excuse. The hospital has the worst care I have ever encountered. If you want to be neglected and die then please go here. The place should be shut down. The management at this hospital are not capable to ensure that adequate care is given. I make sure that anyone I speak to is dissuaded from going to Mississauga Trillium Hospital, especially to the stroke unit.

My recent experience (Oct 2023) at the Cardiology Diagnostic Centre at the Trillium Hospital (100 Queensway) was consistently exceptional, from Lori and Amy, who were always patient, courteous and efficient in answering my calls and scheduling my appointment, to Jaz, the ultrasound technician, who conducted the initial tests, to Leslie, the nurse who prepared me for the procedure and Dr. Stanger, the cardiologist, who conducted the invasive procedure. Leslie, the nurse, with whom I interacted the most, was wonderful, reassuring and patient-centric as she explained the steps and inserted the IV, while actively listening and responding to all my questions. Dr. Stanger was also very personable, attentive, and put me at ease with his calm and reassuring bedside manner. The superb communication within this team and the exemplary patient-centric teamwork was evident together with light banter setting the tone, and I felt confident that I was in good hands as I went under. I recall being very impressed, and making a mental note of how this team serves as a model of excellence in healthcare. Thank you Dr. Stanger, Leslie, Jaz, Lori and Amy! You deserve a rating of 5+!

I am writing today to share a most positive experience that I had with the Mississauga Trillum Emergency Department. My family and I had returned to Toronto from a Mexican Holiday on Jan 17th 2023. We arrived back to our hotel via a shuttle bus. Upon entering the hotel , I was having trouble breathing and my family realized that something was wrong. An ambulance was called and I was taken to The Mississauga Trillum Hospital . I was attended to by The emergency Doctor and Nursing staff. They got my breathing under control and tests were completed to determine what my medical problem was and I was treated acccordingly over the next few days and released on Jan 20, 2023. " Thank You " Ambulance staff for you professional care and getting me to the hospital quickly . " Thank You " to the Emergency Room Doctors & Nurses. You were all Professional and provided your services with Genuine , Care and compassion . I have no doubt that without your assistance and follow that I would not be here today to write this note. " Thank You " once again for looking after me and making a difference in the lives of so many people. Yours Sincerely, Ronald H Manuge.

I was rushed to emergency in an ambulance after a serious car accident. I suffered multiple injuries including a messed up shoulder, sore back, swollen foot, strains, head injury & a humerus fracture (my upper arm completely snapped in half). My overnight nurse was fine/helpful and my experience wasn’t bad until shifts change and I had my morning nurse. She then discharged me to go get taken care of at the fracture clinic and just left me alone to get up from bed by myself. I wasn’t able to do that on my own, as lifting yourself up to a sitting position requires upper body strength. I also wasn’t shown how to use any buttons around the bed to lift up. My mom was too afraid to touch me in case she accidentally hurts me more so she had to walk around looking for help. The nurse I had seemed younger and new, but she should definitely know better and consider these simple tasks for the injured that require help getting up instead of leaving them to figure it out themselves without offering assistance. However, I returned here for urgent surgery, the nurses were super nice, made me feel comfortable & my surgeon is great at what he does:)

My wife gave birth here, first of the delivery room had garbage on the floor and hair that was stuck to the floor with blood. It was too late for us to go to another hospital due to here condition and so we delivered the baby there. During delivery there was only one nurse in the room, myself and my mother had to pull my wife's legs to help her deliver the baby. The doctor came in after the head was already out and spent 6 MINUTES ONLY in the room with her and never came after to check on her. Post delivery she was put in a private room that had a pullout couch that doesn’t pull out and she was seen by 3 different nurses in 24 hours and each of them provided different direction and instructions than the other. They didn’t provide a single dipper nor a wipe for the baby. Barely provided any assistance and when they were called to the room the come 30 mins after which by then there is no point for their help. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL FOR ANYTHING!!! I can’t believe this hospital exists in the 21 century and that we pay taxes for this! If I could give a negative review I would! Spread the word!

Nerve breaking experience. After spine surgery I am in semi occupancy room located at nursing station. Door is always open so I can hear all incoming calls, conversations between nurses and all the noise coming from the hallway. Patient I am sharing room with is most ignorant person. All day listening tv station on his laptop. Calling lots of people at any hour. That’s including night hours like 11pm ,1:30 am, 3:45 am, 5:40 am this is example fro27mlast night. He talks openly and loudly until I have to call nurse for help. But that doesn’t stop him from talking again after the nurse is gone. I was told that they can do nothing about it except ask him to be quiet. It’s been three nights like that and days and I found myself in so much stress that I just can’t take it anymore. The only help from the staff is that they gave me earplugs an painkillers. How should I recover from surgery if I’m constantly under such a stress ? Don’t come here if you’re in need for recovery. You will need psychiatric help after you leave. Mike, Patient November 27. 2023

I represent a funeral home in Mississauga. We come to trillium hospital regularly to transfer deceased patients into our care. Apparently, some of the staff at the front desk of registration don’t appreciate our mission. Today, Friday, May 12th 10:30am a bald gentleman covered in tattoos at the front desk decided to give us salty attitude and made us wait until he take he’s sweet time inviting other patients and chitchatting with them instead of helping us exchange some documents and get moving. While we were eagerly waiting, another staff member wanted to help, and the bald gentleman said “ he’s from a Funeral Home he don’t want to wait”. Well Mr. and to whom who still reading. We “Last responders” commit to our vocation in this chosen field to do the best we can, to lead by example and to allow ourselves to grow both personally and professionally. and we cannot facilitate this to its highest level without the support of our like-minded colleagues and teammates. Great can become greater with the right attitude and commitment.

Absolutely horrible experience!!! Went in for a severe migraine, was throwing up a lot , dizzy , just in so much pain. Waited over 3 hrs to see anyone, they offered me an iv, which I did tell them , based on my migraine experiences in the past at hospitals ivs don’t usually help, I told them what I usually get for pain relief from them. Instead they insisted on an iv , after the iv was done I was still in so much pain and had to wait another 3.5 hrs to see the nurse and then another hour to see the doctor again who gave me another iv of morphine just for temporary relief. They basically got me high so I wouldn’t feel the pain and told me to leave without actually helping me reduce the pain. They also wrote in my chart I said my pain was an 8 out of 10 WHICH WAS NEVER ASKED TO ME so they basically filled out my form without asking me the questions which is illegal. Absolutely worst experience at a hospital ever !!! Complete waste of a day and I will never go back ! I still have a migraine !!! Absolutely horrible hospital

I helped my mother with her admission to the diagnostic imaging department. A front desk lady (she said her name is Arianna but wasn't wearing any badge) she was yelling at patients telling them to take a number and set down. When it was our turn, I politely suggested that it would be easier to have a big banner with such instructions. She told me with a ton of attitude that there is a sign but people do not read. Furthermore, she asked us to follow number 2, and when asked her whether its lift or right, she's yelled at me asking me to just follow the number. Moreover, she was joking with her colleague and yelling at us whenever there is a chance. I'm not sure why such people take their job for granted and think they can yell at patients simply because the hospital is publicly funded and customer service is a KPI that the hospital cares much about. very disappointing. *** after receiving the below response from the owner, I have emailed the email provided and never heard back from anybody. I sent the email 10 days ago.

The MRI DEPARTMENT is the most unprofessional department there is here, after waiting months for my appointment, I come on time, 245 pm on Sunday august 6th, they check me in and after asking me to take off my underwear and bra to change into their gown (3 pm,) they put me to sit in their waiting room inside and tell me I’ll be next, I waited over an hour for the doctor to come out only to ask me, how long ago did his staff change me, he said he checked the cameras and didn’t see me… oh but your nurses did, since they changed me and gave me a locker to put my belongings in. That nurse went home at 3:30, probably why everyone forgot about the naked female waiting to be seen next. Worst part is that they took another man that got there 40 minutes after me first. I got into my MRI AT 4 pm, one hour after they asked me to take off my clothes, Ridiculous, no communication between staff and shift changes. Next time leave me in the outside waiting room with my underwear and bra on before you call me next.

With my experience in this hospital I can say: this is the worstest hospital ever i visit. My pregnant wife, have a really hard pregnancy this is the first child she's on 3rd month, she started hardly bleed on one day, and we decided go to the hospital, the closest hospital was this one. After four hours of waiting the blood stopped, and after a couple of tests ( blood test and xray ) doctor decided to send me and my wife home. They told me that she's healthy and didn't give us a prescription or some medication just go home and thats all. After one-and-a-half week we had the same problem she started to bleeding again, we went to the hospital again, and heard the same story from the doctor. On the third time, we went to the Credit valley hospital and they told that she have kidneys infection and started the therapy with antibiotics and lot of sings. So if somebody is going to this irresponsible hospital please think twice. God bless you all, stay healthy and take care

This place is horrible, the doctors are extremely disrespectful, the nurses are even worse. This hospital needs to face some sort of discipline. As a black women they don’t seem to care for us at all. I was admitted first then 4 others. There were 2 white women and 1 Indian women in the same room as me. The Indian women was there first then me, then the 2 white women following. They decided to see the white women first while me and this other women were there first and both in excruciating pain. And as I was telling the doctor, who also happened to be a white women my pain she rolled her eyes because my previous doctor from a clinic didn’t give me a doctors note but told me to come straight to the ER. It’s horribly disturbing how unprofessional and rude a group of people can be, ESP them being women I complained about abdomen and uterus problems and she pressed so hard on my stomach I screamed! No remorse for people at all. Disgusting !

Worst Canadian Health System ever. My sister gave birth to a healthy 3.6 kg baby boy. All the nurses said everything with baby is normal and we were about to leave the hospital after 2 days of the delivery. They kept my sister their as she had c section. On the day of discharge from no where they discovered baby had infection and told us that they will give some antibiotics and will keep the baby for 5 days under observation but unfortunately that same day of discharge they said they couldn’t save the baby. Literally, they couldn’t find anything wrong with the baby for 2 days. And doctors said they don’t known the exact reason for the death. Upon asking the doctor that what they will write on death certificate the cause of death, they have no answer!! Very very very shameful. I know they will never accept their mistake but my nephew is killed by their negligence and neglect. RIP my little champ.

My wife underwent cardiac catheterization at the Mississauga Hospital. To someone from out of town (as we were) this hospital can seem large and overwhelming. However, we encountered nothing but kindness and helpfulness from the moment of our arrival. It started with a parking staff member helping us find a parking spot at the packed parking garage. Friendly volunteers met us at the door and information desk and literally took my wife directly to her cubicle in the Cath Dept. in a wheel chair. Although the wait was long (due to two unforeseen cardiac emergencies), the medical staff was unfailingly professional, kind and helpful. We have nothing but praise for Melody, our nurse, who so patiently and lovingly helped my wife through her difficult experience that day. Finally I found a personal first - a hospital with a very tasty selection of international cuisine offered in the hospital cafeteria.

With all my heart I wish I can put zero stars as a review because the service I have seen and experienced today is insane. I came in with my girlfriend to trillium waited for more than 5 hours just for the doctor telling us that he never seen anything or done anything like that. He commented badly and gave off weird vibes the second he came in. It shocked me how difficult it was for him to almost do such a simple procedure. Not only that but it was shocking to see that they couldn’t even move a patient (child)to a more private location to get stitched up or at least closed the curtain. Even more the amount of disrespect that was shown at this establishment was unbelievable that people would even choose to go there. It’s unbelievable how this doctor was joking about my girlfriend injury with another doctor and a patient right across us. Would not recommend Trillium to anyone who is in that area.

…….The last time I went to Trillium- Hospital was October-2022 and today is April 30, 2023, and I have to wait for another 3 more months to see specialist, then go to another hospital to do surgery (removal of tonsils). This simple surgery (removal of Tonsils) takes less then a days in others Third World countries but in Canada I had the worst experience in my life! I hope the Government of Ontario pay attention and bring some positive changes to the healthcare system , otherwise we would see worse case!Wish for everyone happiness and Good-health . Thank you ————————————————- Update : July, 14, 2023 My son's Tonsils surgery operation was done at Credit Valley Hospital, and now he is fine and very well. The doctors and all member of services were very nice and friendly, thank you for all member of that department ( Children’s Service ), God bless you .

I know the health care is sucky at the moment but just needed to give a positive review to my sons nurse Marina who took care of him Thursday Oct 12th pre and post op on day surgery unit.. It was a scary painful surgery but she was attentive, Kind, listened and not once dismissive. The entire shift were great. They were busy yet took time to explain any concerns or questions we had. His experience was better because of it. Being there as a mom of an adult child I was also treated well. Kept me informed and up to date on his progress. Dr. LI also made it not so scary with his humor. Parking lot is a nightmare and $3 for a chocolate bar is crazy. Chairs in waiting room could definitely do with an upgrade. At CVH they have a screen letting you know when patient is put of surgery and moved to recovery. That would be a great addition.

A Heartfelt Thank You to the Incredible Nurses at Trillium Mississauga Hospital. ( Canadian-Polish, Canadian-Turkish, Canadian, Filipino and Canadian-Middle Eastern, ICU staff) I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude and heartfelt appreciation for the remarkable care and unwavering support you provided during my stay at Trillium. From the very first encounter, I was captivated by the immense compassion and professionalism demonstrated by each and every nurse who I met. Your dedication to the well-being and comfort of your patients is truly awe-inspiring. Your kindness and genuine concern went beyond the call of duty. You listened attentively to my concerns, patiently answered my questions, and offered a comforting presence when I needed it the most, truly touched my heart.

  • V K

If I can give this hospital a zero star I will. The nurses in the critical care units and the screening team I will give 5 stars. But for the rotating doctors, I will give zero. They have no compassion or care what so ever. They think patients are animals and it’s okay to not give them proper care. We pay taxes here and we have the right to receive proper treatment and care. I’ve experienced the worst out of all the rotating doctors for the last months for my family member. They think we are crazy if we notice positive changes in our family member. They are cold and just don’t care. Don’t be a doctor if you can’t help. The whole point of being a doctor is to help humans. I really pray no one ends up long here in this hospital because they DO NOT CARE!

  • Gail Ramoska

Asked the paramedics to take my mom to Trillium Hospital and it was the BEST decision! My mom is in a nursing home and the closest hospital to her is St. Joseph's. My mom was there 1.5 years ago and my experience (daughter) was horrible! She was admitted through Emergency where the staff lost her shoes. That was only the beginning of our nightmare as my mother stayed there for 3 weeks! Trillium hospital was extremely professional and the staff very helpful. Everything was done effortlessly as they took xrays and did bloodwork with my mom. The nurses called me at home to keep me informed of my moms health status. This hospital has always been my favorite and now I know why. As a teacher I give this hospital an A+. Keep up the terrific work!!!

"Doctor" Harith Abbas should be called out. The degree of unprofessionalism and rudeness was OUTRAGEOUS. I went to THP for a follow up appointment because of a posterior elbow dislocation. Abbas didn't even care to take my arm out of the sling, and talked to me in a very challenging and condescending way. He left all of my questions unanswered making sure to use the most complex medical terms to show me that he is the "expert" in the room. His only comment when I asked if I can get an MRI to assess the status of my ligaments and tendons was: "Oh don't worry, dear, it's all torn anyways." A man who treats patients like this should not become a doctor. Maybe a pathologist but certainly, not someone who deals with living organisms of any kind.

  • Gennalee Gordon

Specifically giving this rating to the nuclear medicine department. Ian (I wish I knew his last name) hands down one of my FAVE people in this hospital. He was FANTASTIC! I was so nervous for my bone scan and getting the needle put in my arm. He was quick it was painless, he was friendly, told me exactly what was happening. Even after I left the hospital he called me to make sure I had all the information needed for the after care part. Honestly if you need to get a bone scan done and you are lucky to havw Ian as the one who does your scan you are in the BEST hands. Also Michelle was fantastic (I hope that's her name) such a sweet young lady who gave me a heated blanket during my scan and made sure I was comfortable.

  • beau vrstala

Waited 11 hours with a burst appendix, took 7 before a doc even saw me, gave me nothing for pain. Surgery went smooth and staff tried to make up for it,but the service is a joke. Mother was almost killed here twice due to negligence in 06, was very sad to see change in care. Also went on 5 occasions for nausea and seizures, on the 5th time coming, the triage nurse informed me NOT ONE PERSON THERE PUT DOWN I WAS HAVING SEIZURES. And proceeded to tell me I didn't inform them. Absolute joke the nurse attempted to flip the script. This hospital sincerely sucks, for the sake of yourself and loved ones, it's probably better to die en route somewhere else because God knows they'll have you waiting for nothing anyway

The doctor referred here is Barbara Marie Waines. Horrible experience, took my wife to this hospital. She had high hypertension 250/180. Waiting for the treatment for 4 hours is a different story, my wife had missed her dose for last two days, we wanted to tell the doctor what med she had been taking for the past 8 years. She did not even care to listen because my wife was prescribed in India saying you need to take Canadian meds, she instead gave my wife a lower dose of the same compound she had already been taking and told her to go home with her blood pressure still above 180. She was rude, ignorant and arrogant. PS all the meds imported to Canada are either Indian, Vietnamese or Turkish.

***Late post*** I delivered my baby on 23rd Jan this year…. It was before date water burst situation so we had to rush unplanned. I would say the whole process was handled so well and would specially mention the excellent service provided by all staff members. Right from the person at the entry gate who took me up to the birthing suite, the screening persons, all duty nurses and doctors. The cherry on cake was when I was informed that my own doctor Dr McLean would be there for the delivery. I was Covid positive since our family had just recovered from Covid 3 weeks back. But that didn’t come in the way of our getting our cutie delivered in the most beautiful and memorable manner.

  • Amalina R

I had my first delivery here a week ago and I must say that I had such a nice experience here and am glad that I chose Mississauga hospital as my hospital of choice to give birth despite living in Brampton. I would like to thank nurses Sonya, Gloria, Jihan, Pushpa and especially Amber who was so supportive in helping me with my natural delivery. They also took good care of me and went above an beyond from the time I entered my birthing suite till I was discharged. I would also like to thank Dr Richard Stein who facilliated my birth and my OBGYN Dr Katie Mcclean for your constant care. This is definitely a hospital that cares for its patients. -Amalina Radwan

My father was here for 3 days in room 248 C (Cardiology department). We checked out today and although the process was slow, all the nurses and doctors we encountered were very nice to us. A special shout out to our nurse for today, Nancy. She was amazing. Super friendly. All the nurses there were helpful and ready to answer any of our questions. I know people who go are sick patients, but the nurses and doctors here are working hard and trying their very best. There's just alot of patients, so sometimes you can't get the nurse to come right away which is understandable. Thank you to all the amazing, hardworking staff at this hospital. :D

  • Mohammed Ali

I will share my experiences as someone who visits the hospital frequently due to chronic illness. The doctors I interact with often need second or third opinions. When they are unsure of something they will do unnecessary tests that will make you fed up with your life. Nurses don't care about you here. I don't blame them. The whole system in Canada has become terrible in the last 5-7 years. Yes, it was bad but not that bad. The only place where I feel comfortable in Toronto General. In my opinion, if it's something serious take your loved ones to Toronto and don't waste your time here. People come to die in Trillium.

  • VM

Absolutely awful last night in the emergency room my dad was treated like he was nothing my family went to see why he couldn’t walk and nobody cared to help him. He was to have an MRI done at 7 pm it was 9 pm and nobody knew when he would go in he was told we dont know. The nurses when my mom said she wanted to know when my dad would be seen they were waiting since 12 pm its now 9 pm she isnt well herself the nurse said not my problem. This all shows what kind of healthcare system we have absolutely no empathy. If one wants to be yelled at for trying to get help go here to yell and treat older people is so wrong.

  • Amanda Laing

I have been here several times over the past 6 years and each time it has been a good experience. A few times at the fracture clinic, to their cardiology department and an ENT once. Everyone who I encountered were fantastic and very patient with me, from the doctors to the nurses. I even had a nurse spend 20 minutes with calming me down before doing in IV. So many people are quick to write negative reviews, and no one is willing to take the time and write something positive. I will go out of my way to come here instead of going to St. Joseph’s hospital which is about a 15 minute drive. Keep up the great work !

  • Parthiban

5 star for doctors, 4 star for cleaning. 0-star for management and services. I’m not sure when they will improve services. Even for any allergies to children ,they took 4 hours wait time and then doctor address the children after an hour. Repeating the same for multiple times in this hospital. I understood emergency is first critical priority. Where are other doctors. why can’t they increase the doctor availability on the night shift or morning shifts.. Another exp: One of the person have foot fracture and blood are coming out. He shouted lot and they put medical cloth that’s it and waiting for two hrs.

  • Harpreet Dhaliwal

4 hospital visits later they finally diagnosed me correctly with a spinal injury. The meal services kept giving me milk and milk products even though I correctly advised all the staff including the kitchen staff of a dairy allergy. The ER staff removed my IV saline bag even though it just started and I was completely dehydrated and advised them of that. I ended up passing out when I got home and had to go to another hospital. Over the course of 1 year I’ve been let down by this hospital repeatedly. How do you incorrectly diagnose a young person with shingles? Spinal injury just seems more likely.

  • Tyler Eng

Due to the staff shortages in Toronto, my mother was taken here by the ambulance instead. Me and my mother were hesitant because we have never been here before. From the very beginning, the staff have been very friendly and very attentive. The nurses, doctors, and even the porters have all been exceptional. The doctor we have is thorough and friendly. When my mother was admitted to the 4th floor, the nurses there were just as nice. Obviously, everything isn't perfect. But if you don't cause too many problems with the staff, you'll be treated wonderfully here. Definitely an underrated hospital.

  • Nguyen Tracy

my 9 month old baby is protected by God , 1:30 night my daughter has a fever of 40.5 degrees , convulsions , I went to the hospital and she vomited completely , the nurse gave my daughter fever reducer . and I waited 4 hours until my baby was too tired and there wasn't enough milk for her, we gave up because we couldn't wait to meet the doctor , we wait in emergency room 3 hour and doctor room 1 hour , but never can see doctor . The emergency with my 9 month old baby girl and my daughter healed by miracle, not because of the doctor. thank God for protecting my daughter, not a doctor

  • Patricia Rodriguez

Came into the ER with my month old baby as she had a fever and other symptoms. I knew that it would be a long wait however I remember years back, they used to have a waiting area just for children and their parents. The amount of children and their parents standing around as there is no room or space to sit with numerous of adults carrying around other sickness in such a tight space makes it disappointing to see… Even the elders seem to be a risk. Trillium ER needs to do better as I can see how burnt out their nurses are, just by the short amount of time I’ve been sitting here.

  • Dimitra Simitas

I am very grateful that my baby was safely delivered at this hospital. However, both the doctors and nurses forced me into giving my daughter the Vitamin K shot. Without being able to answer what the ingredients were on this black label shot (aside from "vitamin k") and what the possible side effects were, the nurses and doctors all confirmed that I could not leave the hospital with my baby unless this shot was given. I wouldn't recommend birthing in this hospital unless you can withstand being bullied by nurses and doctors and can advocate for your rights as a parent.

  • Paul Christian

I was brought in by ambulance because of a heart attack 3 weeks ago. 4 days later I was out after a stent had been inserted in one of the arteries. I can only say the entire time and treatment and service provided was excellent. I want to add to this. We, as the general public, have very little medical knowledge of the technical, complex procedures needed and the expertise required to judge the professionals in a hospital. Our reviews are based on only a superficial understanding of what goes on in a hospital each day to repair our bodies or save our lives. THANK YOU.

  • Wendy Stevenson

On Saturday, January 7/23 I took my husband to emergency at Mississauga Hospital. In less than two hours he was in a room being treated. Although a doctor didn’t come in to see him during that time, information was passed on and treatment was started immediately. Staff were excellent. He was then moved into a waiting area while awaiting lab results. A doctor advised that he would be admitted where he stayed for 2 more days. We really appreciate what the staff do and nurses were volunteering to take on a few more patients to ensure everyone was being cared for.

  • Rohit Saxena

We had our baby at the Mississauga hospital and were delighted with the service and care offered by the staff across units including labor assessment, birthing and postnatal. The nurses and doctors are all amazing and try their best to care for every patient in the best possible way. We had to wait a bit longer than expected due to a sudden surge of emergencies and limited resources but were kept very well informed throughout on how everything progressed. Very fortunate to have been referred to this hospital and grateful for our devoted healthcare workers.

  • M A

One of the worst medical systems and hospital management in Canada. Unprofessional staff. The reception and customer service team lacks the necessary skills. Nurses ask provocative questions to patients. I didn't even encounter doctors because there were none. I waited in the emergency department for more than eight hours. And when I asked, they coldly responded, 'The doctor is not here!' Imagine, this is the emergency department that should be highly prepared. This is negligence towards lives. This is my experience that I'm sharing with you.

  • Patrick Chung

Stroke centre? More like a joke centre, my best friend had 3 TIA (mini stroke) between 8pm-12.30am yet they didn't do anything except gave him blood thinner, CT scan then sent him home in 3 hours, early morning 5ish,then 11ish same day he got another TIA at his home, another ambulance ride to ER to Cortellucci then he got a real stroke later in the afternoon. How can this hospital exist and asking for donations when they can't even take care a stroke patient! If in the US, this hospital will be closed due to debts with lawsuits.

  • Queen B.

I've never been so disgusted by this Hospital. Some of the nurses are like Air Heads, the Nurse in Charge can't figure out why one patient hasn't received her dinner Meal, and the worse part they have Covid Patients on the same floor as regular patients. The majority of hospitals have a Floor for each section. They honestly dont care bout their patients unless it was their own family. FYI: No Doctor on site after a certain hour or two. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND HIRE REAL PROFESSIONAL NURSES!!!!!

  • akane Santos

If I could give less I will. Sadly is not only this hospital, health is so bad in Canada. I came to emergency at 9:00 pm because of a very bad headache and dizziness, almost fainting. They told me to take my clothes off and wait for the doctor after 4 hours I didn't get any attention yet, I came to emergency from my job. But nobody looked like they care. I can absolutely believe that if I would be a Canadian they will be better than this, but a Latin immigrant is not that important to them.

  • Ali B

I had to go to the ER around 5pm and was discharged around 12:30am. While the wait was long every nurse, technician and the ER doctor I spoke to was SO SO KIND. It's easy to complain about waits, but that's the fault of government funding impacting staffing levels NOT because of a lack of compassion. Also worth mentioning I had several tests done during this time which were all done informatively and with care and got results by the end of my visit. So Thank you to everyone who helped me.

  • Caroline Wicherkiewicz

My grandfather was brought here by EMS after having multiple seizures and honestly, I must say, the level of pure compassion and care… I’m speechless! He’s home now resting and doing very well :) thank you to our healthcare workers- your dedication makes such a huge impact in not just the patients lives, but their families as well :) thank you again! Ps: HUGE shoutout to EMERGENCY nurse Bushra- (I hope I spelt that correctly)- she put my anxious mind at peace the entire time :)

  • Cinthia Montañes Alcantara

I have been waiting for a breast ultra-som results since December/22 - today is September 20th 2023 and I haven’t received anything. I have followed up a number of times, and my family doctor also have followd up - an NoBOdY can send a fax (???). Why fax??? Are we in the 90ths? Doesn’t matter, they don’t reply and don’t help. The record department is the worst. Terrivel customer service. My lump has increased and it is hurting and I cannot get my results. It is so stressful.

  • Chahine Bros

Probably and being objective, this was one of the worst experiences I had at a Healthcare facilty at any given metric. Poor relationship and customer (non-patient) care, poor patient care, very disrespectful to visitors and support persons, no genuine interest by nurses to help (laissez-tomber attitude), and dare I add discriminatory and biased approach to patients. Very disappointing experience from a facility that hold such social importance in its community and space.

  • Lina Al Mahamid

0% recommended, this hospital is so terrible and racist. When they asked for my information the receptionist asked for my religion and I don’t know why. I went in and the doctor was very unprofessional, my 7 year old daughter’s appendix bursted and the doctor didn’t tell us. My daughter could have died because of him. The doctor in the walk in clinic recommended an ultra-sound but he denied it. I will never ever come to this hospital even if it depended on my life.

All the nurses and doctors are working as hard as they can in these trying times. I’d like to highlight and thank the labour/delivery and postpartum department. My baby girl was delivered healthy and I received nothing but the most proper care. All the nurses and OBs care so much and bring such a good atmosphere to these moms. Every nurse there deserves nothing but the best. Yes it’s a lot of pressure and sometimes overcrowded but these people are angels.

My wife delivered in this hospital recently, I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. The doctors and staff are doing a good job running the show. The postnatal recovery unit was a let down, specifically 2 of the front desk staff, who probably need to be sent in for an intensive, customer handling and a communication crash course! Overlooking that, the hospital is great and the critical care team, running the show are doing and exceptional job !!

Nothing good to say about this place. Nurses are rude and dismissive. You don't speak the language and they talk louder, not clearer. Staff just chatting it up and socializing at the nurses desk as if on a constant break, meanwhile they keep you waiting in a cold room FOR HOURS until someone decides to come and check your blood pressure?! We came here at 5pm, it's currently 11:20pm as I write this review and we are STILL to see a doctor.

Went to maternity here. The service was good, but it felt like that episode on the office where Jim and Pam went to spend a night at Dwight's bed and breakfast. Paid almost 400 bucks for a private room that was right out of a museum. Take a look at the TV here... I thought it was a medical equipment until my wife corrected (idc about the TV itself, obv, but it's a good representation of our experience). This is what our money goes into?

I don’t even know what to say. Took my mother to this hospital and for the first 4 hrs there was nothing done then a doctor came and for the next 3 hrs we were waiting for CT scan. Who is managing this hospital? This is an absurd to wait in pain for hours and hours. Army of people sitting at the desks, walking back and forth with no purpose. How healthy you have to be to be sick Loosing my patience here !!! Complete nonsens.

My mom went in for neurosurgery. Dr Lee performed her operation and he did wonderfully. As well as his assistant. The neurology department was amazing, helpful, knowledgable and pleasant including the doctor, nurses, cleaning staff, dietitian, occupational therapist and the social worker. Thank you for saving my mom's life. Update: They didn't. She died about 2.5 months later, to no one's fault. (Metastatic Breast Cancer)

Went in here with my aunt for her ultrasound as she is having a new baby. First of all, As soon as we went inside to check in , The tall girl with curly hair and tattoos at the front desk thinks she runs the place and gives us the most DISGUSTING attitude i have ever seen in my life no joke. We didn’t even step in and she angrily goes “Can you guys just take a seat i didn’t even call out a number yet?!??”. Big yikes..

Not so good for baby delivery. I had an emergency c-section and we opted for private rooms-The post op was horrible. My newborn was not even given bath. The nice nurses were few. It was a harrowing experience (too long to write). So if you are expecting and are considering Trillium, don’t! You might go for normal delivery (like I did), but if due to some complication you end up with C-section, the post op is pathetic.

I did a CT scan this morning, Thanks to the whole team in the Imaging department. 7 a.m everyone was available to help patients, the procedure went smoothly on time. Special thanks to the head nurse Kathy who was full of enthusiasm supporting all the patients with a smile and patience explaining all the steps. I like to see the same professional service in all the health care centers. Many thanks.

Sister went to emergency after having severe knee pain after a game of volleyball. Emergency doctors said she was fine, and should go home and put weight on it. After several attempts to have an MRI scan, they finally agreed, and she had a torn ACL. Her knee could have been destroyed, if we had followed their medical advise. "Trillium Health Partners, If you are not dying, you can go home."

My wife came here with a brain stroke. Quick procedure performed, clot was removed and was shifted to ICU. BEST OF BEST services are provided, nurses are always there to help you. Now my wife has been shifted to stroke recovery room. Doctor is true professional. Nurses, physio therapy and speech all are excellent. My wife is very happy and satisfied with all the staff. Food is good. Thanks

Special thanks to nurse Cathy and Louisa with their help in the emergency department. They were very kind, comforting and helpful. Dr. George Zivkovic MD was the best and most experienced with the surgery we came in for. Thanks kindly. We were very lucky to have this great team to take care of my wife. Keep up the good work. Your the best Cathy!! 10*s plus for Dr. Zivkovic.

We went to ER at 2am, and waited and waited and waited like forever for the doctor. This hospital is worse! I can't feel any emergency..its too slow. 6:30am the doctor arrived. I hope they can improve their service. Taxes are too high and this is what we receive! The nurses and doctor though are nice. We need more of them! Hope the will improve their service.

One of the worse hospital for any operation or regular checkup. These Doctors and staff only protect their self and does not care what the patients is going through or have any sympathy for humans. If you want to be on the safe side then believe me do not waste your time and tax money here. Majority of the doctors are either arrogant, rude and not digusting.

Although an older hospital, the facility is still clean and bright. I want to thank the cardio team and J Wing for taking care of my mom before and after surgery. Surgeon checked up on my mom and the nurses were professional. The private rooms were large and fold out bed for a visitor. I hope no one needs to come here but the experience was top notch.

Staff has been good, one nurse preached her religion to my friend’s mom which was uncomfortable. A nurse couldn’t find my friend’s vein so she got poked a lot which wasn’t a highlight. The potatoes were good, pasta was mediocre, juice and pudding are pretty hard to mess up so she liked that too. And it’s been clean, good wifi, would get admitted again

I am studying in school to work in reception in a medical setting and was taught how to professionally handle myself via telephone. I am very disappointed by the way a staff member handled a call with me. You should always be polite and courteous on the phone and this staff member sounded miserable and like she hated her job. Very unprofessional

Recently had my baby here & left extremely happy & thankful. All staff and nurses were extremely careering & nice. However Our birth nurse Brittany made the experience lovely. She is super professional & charasmatic .She made our delivery process less painful, fun, happy yet always very professional - informative through the process.

In out 100 times inside patient room just to get a material and I figure out they stored everything inside the patient room I heard sorry we just want to get something like 100 times The worst hospital in Canada the worst nurses working here absolutely they don’t care even if you die they are here to make their hours and leave

  • Sophiya A

Pretty quick service. My dad was transferred from one Trillium to another. Within days he got 5 stents. The nurses in the Coronary Care Unit were all amazing. They all took great care of my dad. The Surgeon after the first procedure came and explain everything to us. He looks like he really cared, and not just doing his job.

  • Shiksha Jaiswal

Worst experience ever. I cannot even compare it with Indias facilities. Far better than Canada. We waited for 3 hours but didn’t even get a chance to see the doctors and they say Canada has world’s best hospitals system. come to India its much better than Canada and faster than any country. …

I am in ER in mississauga trillium hospital. DR. Rick Mann, even did not bother to listen to my pain complaint. We tax payers are treated as alien. The poor doc even can't read notes from my family doctor. I was in so much pain that can't even walk straight despite doc said you are at a wrong place we can't help.

  • adam m

Although I hope to never come back, I must say I was impressed with my experience. I came for an X-ray for a broken bone and I was in and out within an hour. Each staff member was kind, patient, efficient, and knowledgeable , but they need more employees so that there’s less stress on the workers . Thank you guys

  • Mohammed alshammari

3 ways to get admitted into the hospital, illegally park get your car toad but get treatment, die by the time you find a parking spot(paid parking your lucky to find a spot) , get in by an ambulance. I guess 4 if you count disability permit parking but good luck walking there if you are in pain

  • Ms. Walker

My Dr recommended an iron transfusion. Total time spent at the hospital before 1 hour transfusion...8 hours. The nurses & Dr. were pleasant. Since the pandemic the Healthcare system has been severely impacted, they are always short of staff as per the nurse, Good news though... they are hiring!

  • Kriatina Zizek-Shaw

I cut myself at work and needed stitches I went to emergency and expected to wait for hours. I was in and out in 3 hours. Finger stitched and the doctor was kind and efficient. The nurses in emergency had a good system and although there were a lot of people the process was very smooth.

  • Tracey Park

I had spine surgery there. Every person that I dealt with was kind and caring and treated me with the utmost professionalism. Every level of care from the or, to recovery, to the floor was excellent. Considering the overwhelming conditions these people deal with, they outdid themselves

  • Ksenia Broide

I’m pregnant, came with problem with the cervixc and the gynecologist didn’t except me just because I’m 19 weeks and they expect just from 19,5 weeks … so I spend here more than 5 hours useless! They didn’t check what must check…. The worst service ever! Not help just holding you …

  • Lucky Immigration Services

Waste of taxpayers money, not really giving any service till the persons about to die. Laid back doctors, not giving any concrete answers and just getting paid to sit in their rooms and not looking after patients. The whole systems corrupt and just another money making business.

  • Oleksii Pasichnyk

We had 2 of our babies delivered in this hospital. 2 years ago and recently Everything was perfect and on the high level of service! Even during the pandemic there are friendly and understanding people! Highly recommend their services and all 5 star job, well done! Keep it up!

19/4/23 in Emerg for treatment. The intake was very good. The wait for treatment, not so much. Will report later once I've been treated. Wifi is appreciated, but would recommend charging hubs be located strategically for patients and family for recharging devices.

  • Ana H

Very good staff, caring and professional, I would like to thank Dr. Zou, the best psychiatry we had met for his caring to my son. He is really professional and expert in his career. From my experience within 7 yrs with different specialists, he is the best in GTA

  • Ruba

Everyone that works here is unbelievably kind and supportive and compassionate. Catherine the nurse in 4 B ward is an angel. Thank you to this hospital. This is not an easy job but the people who work here handle everyone with kindness, respect and grace.
