Hi there, I have summarised about the Trinity park for the first time visitors ,hope its helpful. * Nice trail park located very close to I-35 and is located in Forthworth Downtown. Nearby attractions if you are planning for a day are Forthworth Water gardens/Sundance square & Forthworth Stockyards. * Do carry water bottles as there are not much water fountains nearby *Ample parking is available but weekends and holidays might get crowded so arrive early to grab a spot. *Kindly be courteous to birds and others and don't overfeed them. If you wanna take pic with ducks, stay grounded near the pond ,the ducks shall cross by. *Biking trails are available around the river park *There's an sot where you can cross the Trinity river through rocks, extend caution as some of them are slippery. Hope you have nice time around the park.#HappyVacation

A great space to chill/go on a walk, to be outside with a friend or friends! I love taking my bike to this park the trails will keep you safely off the roadways from the crazy Texas drivers! Also, a lot of space to set up any type of activities like slack lines or aerial/pole equipment. Basketball court near by as well as kayak ramp (I do not suggest paddle boards or canoes). Picnics and covered picnic areas are close by, as well as some really awesome kids playgrounds! The swing set is right here, but the renovated kids playground is about half a mile walk away, definitely worth taking your children to, wish we has cool playgrounds like the new one here!!! Bars and food right across the street as well as Tom Thumb grocery store. Velvet taco is walking distance as well, vegetarian/vegan friendly!

This #duckpond is just one part of the enormous and amazing #trinitypark in #fortworthtx If you're ever in the area, go check it out. There are lots of ducks and geese to feed, wide open spaces under grand trees, great for meditation, peaceful talks, running or blanket sitting. There are picnic tables all throughout and basketball courts nearby and much more as you wander along. Very near here is access to the main #trinitytrails and there are portable restrooms near the pond but #bringhandsanitizer and lots of it! @cityoffortworth has a cleaning schedule, but these are public restrooms, so I'm just sayin'. #dontfortgetyoursanitizer! Also, if you're wanting to feed the ducks, get some feed from somewhete like @atwoodsranchandhome because bread isn't good for them.

Updated: Park has been cleaned as of veterans day. At least 100 birds of ducks, geese and swans were out. And the pond was clean! Always a family favorite! Gated pond for ducks and geese. Wide open spaces for walking, sitting, picnic, and playing. Good fresh air! New playground on River Park near Tom Thumb. It's small, but a good alternative to Dream Park, located at other entrance. Has slides, and swings for ALL abilities. Couple of red rock looking climbing structures. Bad-No rest rooms. Porta pooties are horrible and not cleaned. Pond for ducks had a lot of trash. Not sure where it's coming from as there are trash cans& recycle areas everywhere.

We are back again! This time the weather is more tolerable. With the pending cold front blowing in later, we decided to stop and watch the ducks/geese swim for a little while and play at the park. It is so peaceful to just stand still and watch, not noisy either. Today the City of Fort Worth was repairing parts of the walking trail, but there are other routes to access the playground. We parked on the designated side-street parking and got a little hike in while we were at it. Might as well soak up the sun while you can (in January anyway). I love coming down here, these old trees are so incredible to me. Outdoor therapy at its best!

Pretty place to walk around and enjoy some outdoor time. (We were there from 2-3 on a Saturday afternoon.) A plethora of ducks were swimming around and flapping in the pond for children and babies to watch and giggle at. Quiet areas with lots of shade and beautiful green trees to look at. Super nice place to spend some time outdoors and get some fresh air. There is lots of bird poop all over the place but you’re at a park with lots of trees, so what can you expect? Lol. A few cigarettes here and there on the ground. But is pretty well kept for the most part. Definitely recommend.

It is always fun to feed the ducks here. They love fresh peas, oats and fresh corn. Very relaxing and the best part is the duck pond covers a large amount of real estate making it spacious enough during busy times. There are two parking areas directly next to the lake with the *shortest* walking distance; there is roadside parking and a small parking lot directly in front. Please read on what is healthy for ducks, there are many uninformed humans in life feeding ducks human food that is bad for their growth and respiratory system - one of them being bread.

We took my grandson the duck pond to feed the Ducks. I always remember it being clean and well maintained. But not this time. I must say the city of Fort Worth parks department is not taking care of and maintaining the Forest Park duck pond. The water had a film of slime on top of it, as well as trash floating in it. But the worst part was there was a dead squirrel and a dead bird in the pond. It's very sad that such an iconic place has fallen into such a state of neglect. I will go again within the next month and see if it's any better.

  • Cass The Frass

I love the duck pond so much, it is one of my favorite places in the whole world. I've been coming here to chill for the past 5? 6? years a very long time lol. if you feed the ducks please use vegetables or actual duck food though!!! do not use bread/bread products!!! bread is bad for ducks as it expands in their stomachs :(!!! I also love the train tracks and it's just a very nice place overall !! The people here are also super nice!! There's also alot of really good steady trees for hammocks.

I was excited to see Trinity Park because so many old friends were 'hippies' and spent a lot of time there in the 60s and on- they told me some very interesting tales and remembered those days fondly. Everything changes. It's nice, but they've kinda let the duck pond get really mucky looking.....the ducks don't seem to mind, tho- People were enjoying walks, bicycling, jogging and some pic-nickers. I liked it. The bathrooms were awful- I mean AWFUL. Still, I'll go back again.

The Trinity Park Duck Pond has been a family tradition of ours since I was a small child. I'm 45 years old and have continued the tradition of enjoying this park with my sons, who are now in their late teens, since they were babies. If your strapped for cash or just want to spend some quality time with your babies bring them on down to the duck pond and enjoy the ducks and the steep hills. You'll be glad you did! I highly recommend this place.

Amazing park with lots of amenities. We parked right across from the duck pond and noticed the cardboard on the hill. At first we thought it was little, but nope, we noticed the worn paths on the hill and realized this is sledding Texas style. We walked along the duck pond and saw lots of birds, ducks, and turtles. We walked way down to the miniature train and took a ride through the park. Great place for picnics as well.

  • stephaney mayfield

I LOVE this place.. But WHY IS NOTHING BEING DONE ABOUT THE WATER! The Squirrels are dying, the ducks are having to swim in PURE NASTY STAGNATED, Algae water .. It used to have a fountain that rotated the water and kept it from being stagnated. I’m disgusted that the city hasn’t done anything to fix this MAJOR issue!!!!!!! As of 8-15-2022 THAT WATER IS SO NASTY! PLEASE PLEASE fix this issue!!!

  • Vanessa Martin

It's very serene, peaceful & relaxing here! There is parking directly in front of the duck pond and down the street closer to 7th St. There's also a very busy single porta potty I actually parked next to, that I had never really seen before. I'm assuming it's well maintained as I saw both female & male people use it before and after their workout, walk, run and cycling.

  • Orlando G.

I came here on a summer weekend in the afternoon, and brought picnic snacks. It's relaxing to be close to the ducks and to watch them....be ducks. Dress comfortably and bring plenty to drink because there is a lot to see (even besides the duck areas). I wish I worked near a place like this to unplug and recharge on a lunch break. #nature

  • William Louthan (Bill)

Walked my rescue dogs at Trinity Park Duck Pond. So peaceful and quiet. Weather was perfect and lots of space to walk. Duck Pond is always beautiful ❤️ If you visit bring duck food to feed them. They get very vocal when someone feeds them. So Much Fun !!! Me and my rescues will be back soon❤️

  • Jennifer Garcia

Great fun for the whole family with big playgrounds for the kids
Playground
Very large and lots of fun
Restrooms
Only portable restrooms
Dog-friendliness
Very dog friendly
Picnic area
There are a lot of cover picnic tables but most are reserved for parties on weekends during the summer.

  • Shelley Renae

I mean there's nothing to really photograph around here but there's always a lot of ducks. But the water is just so mucky and the rope around it isn't that cute so I don't use it as a photographer but I use all the stuff that's around it like the graffiti art and under the bridge and the trees and the hill

  • andrea buchanan

Huge duck pond. Do not feed the ducks bread. Bread is not good for ducks and will eventually malnourish them. Grab some seed or bring broccoli. Wonderful views, great ducks and geese. You will love the path circling the pond with benches scattered nicely all around . Great for family outings and photo ops.

  • Meghan Galloway

Great park, love the pond with all the ducks. Great playground. There was quite a bit of trash throughout, in the water especially though.
Playground
Playground is great for kids, I would say fits best for kids age 4+. There isn’t really a toddler area on the playground. We love the swings though!

  • Kaia :0

my mind was heavy on thoughts today so i decided to go to a park i didn’t have on any direction i just drove and when i pulled over to put directions on this park was across from me. it’s very peaceful & the people there are very kind overall just a very beautiful and peaceful experience all together

  • Jay Polaski

I love taking my wife and kids here! One of my favorite little spots to go relax in the woods. I see people bringing hammocks and stuff, I think that's cool. I love to take nature photos here... Alot of couples take wedding pics here .. I took some pics of my wife and her baby bump yesterday!

  • Jess Kapral

Went with my 11 month old today and it was fun!! Loved seeing all of the ducks and the quiet little park next to it! There was one dead duck floating away from all of the others tho so I’m glad that my baby wasn’t old enough to notice that. Definitely coming back!

  • Richey Ramsey Sr.

Many visits here. Feed the ducks and walk the park. Plz, do not take bread to the pond to feed. If you like to feed them, drop in and grab some corn scratch or something similar in a grain. The bread cause a bad algae the build and is harmful to the habitat here.

  • Octavia Williams

I love going here. I did not feed the ducks this time but saw others doing so. It is so peaceful and relaxing. Very fun and safe place to take the kids. Parking fills up quickly so its hit or miss to get a parking spot near the pond. I highly recommend going!!!!

  • Amanda Kilgore

I find it off puttingly strange how large of a crowd I witnessed playing at the park. A familiar image of dozens of families happily playing appeared oblivious to the reality we live in today. Trinity Park now serves as a covid-19 vaccination location....

  • John Moody

Trinity park is beautiful. The river that runs by it, the walkways, the skyline, and the bridge that crosses over the river. All in all it is an excellent place to take a walk, have a picnic, or just lay on the grass. 11/10, will go again.

  • Brenda Deleon

It's a beautiful place to take a child for a walk or even just a stroll with a friend or loved one. In our case today we had my 4 year old great niece and she loved it! A wonderful way to enjoy time with family and tire out a little one.

  • Tomias Davila

I remember this place from my youthter years. It was smaller and not so dirty. The pond is what I'm talking about. Te park was great. Not crowded but only one grill for4 tables. Dont know what happened to the others. Budget cuts???

  • Mario Villarreal

They need to clean the water for the ducks because it's real dirty and we need to tell the city to go by there and try to clean it up or filter the water because I feel sorry for the ducks they have to live through that dirty water

  • Krista Jones

I always enjoy our early morning walks at the Trinity, my only disappointment is the amount of trash that never stops accumulating on the trails and in the river.
Restrooms
Port-a-Potties available at the major parking lots.

  • Tina

Great spot to feed the ducks and geese. When I googled places to fish in Fort Worth, this pond came up on the list. Unfortunately there is a sign that says no fishing. Otherwise it's still a cool spot to check out.

  • Alex Binion

Great pond, lots of variety in ducks geese and wild birds, small little park behind that I frequent with my family. Easy location to park near and play at then walk to where all the restaurants are down the street

  • Helen Ford

Very Serene. Not very busy. The ducks and geese, especially the geese are not afraid of anything. The geese aren't very nice; they hiss at you even if you aren't bothering them. The ducks seem to be a lot nicer.

  • Amanda Ingram

I love this place. I've been coming here since I was a kid. Now I get to bring my kids . Don't forget to bring a piece of cardboard to slide down the hill. But make sure you take it with you when you leave lol

  • alex Alcantar

Great place to go for a walk or just to go chill, I take my grandbabies out there with some bread and feed the ducks and play in the playground
Restrooms
There's porta potties within walking distance

  • Jennifer Stanton

I enjoyed walking around the area. The ducks were not aggressive I was able to just walk around, watch the ducks, and enjoy the shade. I just wish there were real restrooms instead of Porta Toilets.

  • Daniel Andrade

Kid's love it we are regulars there we've been going for 10 + years it's got everything for all ages plus ice cream almost every trip love how they upgrade the park understanding it's a popular spot

  • Hirephilip

Whenever it's time to gather up all the Stale bread and rolls that no one seems to want to eat, I take All of it and head to the duck pond. And they Love Every Bite too. (Bless their little hearts)

  • DROPCASH15

It was very beautiful, many many ducks and geese and swans. I took a $5 of bird food from Walmart and I fed them and they all got very close n were very friendly. Please don't feed them bread.

  • Jason Varner

We took the dog out for a walk. She bolted like lightning try to catch a squirrel. We got a big kick out of it. Just nice to get out in the nature for a bit. Real serine we had a good time.

  • Allan T

Quiet setting with great backdrops for taking pictures. We were there on a Saturday and there were other families here with plenty of space to be friendly and practice social distancing.

  • Serena D

Beautiful pond, calm. One entrance ( via Museum way) is currently closed due to road construction though. Will need to access it using Trinity Park Dr from River Dr/Trail Dr/ Foch St.

  • Chloe Jones

wish they would put up a sign to tell people to NOT feed them bread. saw a guy with 5 whole loaves of bread today. signage would help, it’s irresponsible to leave the ducks like that

  • Addy Aguilera

I love this place, it's super relaxing to just visit have a sit and look at the animals. Which by the way DO NO EAT BREAD! Bread is bad or ducks so please stop feeding them bread.

  • Angelica Colorado

Not very well maintained it seemed to be neglected but the park it self was ok. And there is a beautiful view of Downtown after the sun goes down from the hills near the pond.

  • Gretchen Niles

Get place to take the kids or have a fun but romantic walk. There are a lot of different water fowl which is great. I have to look them all up in my birding books. Nice park!

  • Sweetskis Robledo

I love coming here just to escape and find peace you can keep walking the trails and find more peaceful areas but the ducks are beautiful to admire. Feed them seeds not bread

  • Ryan Herrington

Awesome place. Took my son there with a bag a bread, and fed ducks and geese. The duck stay in the water. But the geese will walk up to you and eat the bread from your hand.

  • Teri Gallardo

It's one of those all time favorite places. Went often as a kid and not as much now but still try to stop by when we can and give my daughter some of the same experiences.

  • Richard Hight

Great little walking pond for family or for you and your furry friends. I've also had professional pictures taken here, the scenery in spring and autumn is phenomenal.

  • Jim Malone

I have been visiting the duck pond area since 1973, always a great spot to relax and watch birds or turtles. Very shady and pleasant even during hot Texas summer days.

  • Jolisa Bahr

Lots of shade. Very nice walking trails. Can not cross the bridge with a wheel chair Need to park on the other side. Very difficult to cross bridge with a stroller.

  • Joseph Hardee

Ducks are funny. Do not feed bread to ducks. Go to nearby (in Montgomery Plaza) PetSmart and buy goose and duck seed (about 5 bucks) to feed them a healthier meal.

  • Katie Orengo

They have a great playground and walking trails. The pond for the ducks is large with multiple water fountains. There were turtles, squirrels, and geese too

  • SCOTTIE MIKKELSON (Jelly Bean)

Been going here since I was born. Almost 40 years. Love this place. It has come a long ways over the years. The city is always trying to better the parks.

  • Phillip Lasley

Beautiful place to hang out and have lunch. Not too busy usually, but still movement to retain an atmosphere. Businesses nearby make it easy to enjoy.

  • Small Town Picker

Trash in the water and on the grounds. Needs to be cleaned. Injured ducks. Looks like a dumping ground for ducks. At least they have water.

  • Stephanie Jones

There were, as the name implies, lots and lots of ducks and geese. Unfortunately there was also a lot of trash all over the place as well.

  • Kenny

Super cute and a great place to take you kids or younger siblings so they can feed the ducks or watch the little ducklings in the spring.

  • Hope Osborne

Nice place to just relax, feed the ducks and just chill. Very well maintained. Consider this place the next time you plan a picnic.
