My electrical system kept flipping on and off. My refrigerator was leaking because the power kept going out. I was feeling very overwhelmed and scared of what the work would entail and cost. Finally, I started to research the possible electricians and came across Steve at Turn Electric. He asked me to take a picture of my electrical panel and said he would call me back after he received it. When I didn't send the picture within the time frame I told him, he called to make sure everything was okay with me. I was delayed at work, got home, took the picture and sent it to him. Within a minute or less, he returned my call with partial good news. I didn't need an upgrade to the panel, he just saved me $5000. He arrived within 15 minutes from our call ready to investigate my flipping and power outage problem. He did too! One of the breakers was dead or just about dead. He replaced that and I had an electrical plug, GFI, in the kitchen that has been out also. He replaced that one also. He did it all and for a fraction of some of the other quotes I had received in the past. One electrician wanted to open up my walls just to look for the problem and charge me over $1000 without the price for the fix AND he wasn't going to repair the walls. WOW! I highly recommend Steve's company. I'm a satisfied customer and truthfully, that's a hard task for most trades people to do. Thank you, Steve and Daniel (his son).

Saturday afternoon, I was drilling through drywall to hang some wall panels when *pop* a spark when flying and a circuit breaker tripped. Apparently the electric detector on my stud finder wasn't working properly and I was really worried about what sort of damage had been done. Steve was actually my first call because of the great ratings, but he was in the middle of a job and said he couldn't make it until the following day. I said I'd call around to see if I could find someone who could come sooner. He said "Please do! But give me a call back if you can't find anyone." It's like he knew... No one else was able to come out until Monday. Called him back and he showed up as promised first thing on Sunday morning. I'm one of those (I assume) annoying guys who really likes to watch while people who are much handier than I do their work. I asked Steve if that would be okay. "No problem!" he said. His recommendation was install a tiger box higher on the wall, which also meant we could add an outlet on the wall. Pretty good outcome from what could have been a really bad situation. I'm grateful for Steve's work, work ethic and patience. Highly recommend for any electrical needs!

Steve was great! We called him based on all the positive reviews online, and he totally was the real deal. He was able to come check out our electric issue the day we called him, did a thorough job checking all our outlets for the short, and restored electricity to a portion of our house that we've been struggling to figure out for a while. He also installed our EV charger outlet. He's really great because he is reliable, quick, fair in pricing, and explains how things work so you understand. What we also appreciate was that he gave us some tips to help save us on a few costly purchases we were considering doing in regards to our charger. Steve is incredibly responsive and did a great job. He came as soon as possible and was in constant communication about his ETA, arriving on time. He explained everything he was doing and worked with me to bundle the work we hired him for to a fair price. We hired him for two main jobs: 1 - To install a new outlet for a water heater pump in our water closet. He worked quickly and efficiently, using an existing outlet to add the new one and cleaned up his mess when he was done. 2 - He fixed a GFCI plug that powered our kitchen -- we thought we had an issue with our breaker, but he explained that the plug was merely broken and replaced that GFCI along with 2 others in our house. He did not try to do more work than was required (others might have tried to get me to pay for unnecessary work based on our fears) and is very honest. We and will likely ask him to do more work for us in future.

We moved into our home a few years ago. After many months struggling with the electricians our home warranty group would send out, we were lucky to find Steve through Yelp. About a year ago Steve was able to fix a broken doorbell and a non-functioning GFC outlet. We called him again today regarding other outlet issues. Both times that he provided his services not only did he fix the issues, but he explained what was happening and provided us with options on how to best address them. Even beyond his electrical expertise, Steve is just an all around great guy. We have recommended Steve/Turn Electric to my husband's boss a few months ago. You know you only make recommendations to your boss when you're fully confident with who you're recommending :). I have no doubt that if you're having an electrical issue, Steve would be the best expert for the job.

Use Steve! I wanted to tell everyone what a great, honest, and caring guy Steve is. I called him because my freezer stopped working in the garage. Steve told me upfront he wouldn't be able to come out for few days. So he kindly recommended a different electrician who fixed the loose wire. But, this review is about Steve. Steve called me several times to follow up. He wanted to be sure the freezer wasn't broken, then to confirm I got hold of the electrician, and finally to be sure the problem was fixed and to call him for any future electrical needs. There is no one else but STEVE that I will have work on electric in my home or any of my clients’ homes. Back in March I had him install a substantial amount of new electrical fixtures in our home and we were incredibly pleased with his professionalism, attention to detail, work product, and price. He talks you through all possible options so that you are aware of what he will be doing in your home and there are no surprises. He talked me out of unnecessary electrical work! Who else has that kind of honesty? I have had far more expensive electricians in in the past and wasn’t nearly as happy with the work as I was with Steve.

We had great experience working with Steve from turn electric. Very enthusiastic and walked us through what his process was the whole way through our project. We needed switches rearranged and fixed, and the portion of house they were in wasn’t quite wired right to begin with, he still managed to get to the bottom of it and fix everything we needed. Took about two hours to get everything situated, involved rewiring 6 switches and again it was a mystery to diagnose the issue, but Steve found the way. Where do I start...Steve is great person. He is probably the only electrician I could find to get an actual free estimate. He was very communicative, fast and friendly. He found the issue almost within 5 minutes. He was so accurate in fact, I was able to do it myself ( not recommended). With that being said, if there is something more serious or difficult to do, you can count on them to be out there quick and fast. Again, I can't express how thankful I am to the company and most of all Steve.

We needed 3 fans and electricity added to 3 bedrooms. Steve was very kind from the first phone call and agreed to do it even though he doesn't really extend to Simi Valley. He came over to fix some wiring problems at my mother’s house on short notice, and was able to solve multiple problems in a relatively short amount of time, even though they were caused by incorrect wiring done by contractors years ago.
