I can't begin to express how delighted we were with our experience at TwistED Science for my son's birthday party. From start to finish, it was an unforgettable day filled with laughter, learning, and boundless joy. The combination of engaging activities, friendly staff, and a vibrant atmosphere made it a celebration that will be etched in our memories forever. TwistED Science truly lives up to its name, as it encourages kids to engage in playful scientific exploration. The vast array of hands-on exhibits and interactive displays fascinated both children and parents alike. The kids were thrilled to immerse themselves in various experiments, from creating bubbling concoctions to exploring the laws of physics through fun experiments. What sets this playcentre apart is the dedication and enthusiasm of the staff. They were amazing at engaging the children, guiding them through the activities, and ensuring that everyone had a blast. The staff members' patience and understanding of children's curiosity and needs were truly commendable. They made sure every child felt included and encouraged them to think critically and explore their imaginations. In addition to the fantastic activities, TwistED Science provided a well-organized birthday party package that took a load off my shoulders as a parent. From the setup of the party area to the serving of delicious food, everything was taken care of flawlessly. The birthday party hosts were attentive and ensured that every aspect of the celebration ran smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy the day with our son and his friends. The party concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony that left all the children beaming with joy. The smiles on their faces were priceless as they sang "Happy Birthday" to my son and enjoyed the delectable treats. I can't forget to mention our wonderful host, Dan, whose warm and friendly demeanor made everyone feel comfortable and added an extra layer of joy to the celebration. His genuine passion for engaging with the kids and making sure everyone had a great time truly made the day even more special. In conclusion, our experience at TwistED Science Playcentre was nothing short of extraordinary. It's more than just a playcentre; it's an enchanting realm of learning, laughter, and exploration. From the moment we walked in until the time we bid farewell, the entire celebration was seamless and delightful. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate our son's birthday, and we wholeheartedly recommend TwistED Science Playcentre to all parents seeking an exceptional and educational play experience for their children.

I visited twisted science with my 5 yr old and a couple of friends and their kids a few weeks back. We finally made it after all the 'hype' about it on few websites and FB ! Seeing is believing ! It's a nice place to explore various sections and learn about Science - more so by figuring it out on your own or as a parent who has to Google a specific experiment in order to explain it to smaller kids. To be honest, I expected more from visiting this place. One would expect more instructions and explanations / theories with every experiment. Some constructive feedback which hopefully you can implement in the near future: 1. Why doesn't Twisted Science have printed material regarding each area on the wall so that kids are educated on each experiment with the theories of that respective experiment. It's unfortunate that some of the sections have no instructions or explanations and we as parents have to Google everything in order to educate our kids on science. 2. The price for the parent doesn't exactly add up as we don't do anything but just accompany the child and help the child out when required. I understand you have overheads that need to be taken care of but a more reasonable pricing would be fair on the parent. The 'wow' factor at Twisted science was the bubble section. There was a kind lady from Twisted science who I requested to explain about the fog from the bubbles. It is a great place for science but hopefully you would consider making available explanations on the wall just like the science museum.

Twisted Science. It's fantastic! I've got two kids under 10 and they both have so much fun here. We've been a few times and there's always some new way to explore the place. They love the amazing transforming sand, the giant bubbles, the pixel play, the reptile encounter, eating bugs, making fast cars, shooting rockets, creating stop animation, building carts and castles, writing with light, testing their reflexes and that's not even mentioning 50 other hands-on activities. It's a very safe space too where the staff are very attentive and the kids can really play and have fun. My 4 year old loves the tangerine room and my 6 year old has the time of her life in the blue and green rooms. They both have different interests and are captivated for hours. Highly recommend! We have been to both sold out sessions and quiet sessions, even at its most busy it is not crowded or hectic. There's so much to do. Super impressed that they don't just sell more tickets and pack it out. It means the kids, no matter how busy, have a great time. 10/10. We will be back many times! I have a great time there too by the way. It's a creative and hands on learning experience that is also fun, surprising and challenging in all the right ways. There is also a cafe, lots of parking and a small science based gift shop.

We LOVED this place for a school holiday visit. We are big fans of the one in Echuca and I had forgotten they had opened in Melbourne too. Parent's pack the kids up... Don't even worry about 6000 snacks and water cause they will be so busy once they arrive they won't even ask you for them (Okay but pack them for after)! This hands down beats any play centre experience, particularly for the primary school age when they are 'growing out' of things. So many stations set up to discover and explore. You will even want to try them all yourself. Lovely attentive staff keeping everything in order and supporting anyone with ideas or help if needed. It's clean, fresh, new and unlike anywhere else you can take the kids. We spent the entire 9-1230 session there and could have stayed even longer. Highly recommend arriving early (or later) in the day. By around 1130am it was busy but still enjoyable and enough space that everyone got a turn of most activities. A cool science themed cafe at the end. They make a very decent coffee. And have cute themed milkshakes and jelly. And of course a shop. Thankfully reasonably priced with cool things for the kids to explore. Highly recommend.

I took my 11yo niece to a morning session (arrived right on 9am which was less busy) in the school holidays. We were there for the entire 3.5hrs enjoying every activity on offer. Our only disappointment was spending time doing the block puzzle only to find wooden blocks missing and no ball to test the puzzle. As it was quite busy, it would be good if staff could move children on who had stayed on an activity for a long time. 2 children were using almost all the resources in the meccano type construction and 2 children had commandeered the two lego vehicles (having more to race would be good) for nearly 30min. Most of the activities were engaging and would suit most primary aged children and their parents. Could have some more puzzles to do while waiting to do activities. Overall, a great day out.

We visited this hidden gem today and had an awesome experience!! The TwistED Science is located in Moorabin, which is the kids science museum and it has so many activities for kids involving art, science, technology, music, sensory play and even adults can have fun too!! The staffs are really friendly and taught us how to operate all the activities and we had a great time. TwistED science floor is split in to three main areas: Blue, Green and Tangerine . Blue and green are general admission areas. While tangerine is a private area designed especially for pre-school children - no big kids allowed! This indoor fun activity exhibit will be a big hit for an incredible family experience !! Definitely a must visit place for hours of fun and the prices are cheap too!!

We have been to twisted science for a birthday party and more recently for a school holiday visit, and have had such a great experience both times. The venue is so well looked after, clean and a lot of fun with plenty of space to move around and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We have a child with a disability and it’s never been an issue as it’s all accessible with ramps, quieter rooms and plenty of space to navigate a pram or AT equipment. We have nothing but glowing reviews for Twisted Science and look forward to coming back again very soon! Our most recent visit was on a “booked out” day and everything was still running efficiently, it was clean, staff were readily available and there was plenty of room for everyone. Thank you for having us!!

Its a great interactive science centre and really encourages bonding with your little ones. They said 5+ years for the blue and green rooms but I think they’re great for even 3+ year olds as you are there to guide and help them with the activities. I also loved that it is not overly crowded thanks to the time constraints so there are no wait times for kids to play with the activities. In saying that, the 3 hour time slots is a perfect amount of time. They also have staff on the floor to help you with the activities and engage with the kids; special mention to Maria, she was awesome and super enthusiastic! Definitely recommend this, all age groups will love it. The little ones get the tangerine room which is also amazing. Beats a play centre x100!

We attended a birthday party here and it was just fantastic. The party host Georgia was amazing and had such a good manner doing the experiment with children. The free play area was also exceptional and the children just had a ball with all the activities. It was all so well done, spotlessly clean and new, and all of the stations were well equiped for everyone to get a go. The party food each child received was also most impressive with a selection of good quality and fun foods. There is also ample parking and the venue is well signed and easy to find. I couldn’t fault it, and would highly recommend either having a party or visit here, we look forward to returning.

My daughter-in-law, 2 granddaughters 6 & 2yrs old & myself...nanny, went to Moorabbin TwistED Science yesterday, Friday and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Firstly, the staff were so warm and welcoming with smiles from all and ready to guide us on our next adventure. This place offers so much fun and 3hrs was plenty of time. A few schools arrived whilst there and did not impede on our fun, so much organised for them as well. Cafe has lots to offer and milkshakes with Fairy floss delicious. Toilets sparkling clean and sanitiser stations for us all to use Thankyou to all involved, marvellous staff, great venue, we'll be back for more.

I have two wonderful grandchildren who (like most kids at their age) are incredibly active, always curious and want to explore anything that is new or interesting – which meant this place was perfect. We were one of the first to arrive at 1:00pm and they politely encouraged us to leave at 4:30pm on a recent, miserably wet Sunday afternoon. The numbers seemed to be managed as there was never an issue to get onto the next exhibit. There were lots of activities that I had never seen before, and everything was kept in in pristine condition. The staff were friendly and helpful and there were resting places and a nice café for (mainly adult) breaks. Plenty of easy parking and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend.

  • Laura Jones

This place is AMAZING! Even after 3 hours there, we happily could’ve stayed for longer! My 4.5 year old had an absolute blast and so did I! Fun for all the family - the area for under 5s was brilliant and we loved the areas for older guests too. So much to do, everything is hands on and the staff were lovely, friendly and enthusiastic. Everything was clean and tidy and it was just a pleasure to visit here. I also hugely appreciated that they cap their visitor numbers, so it didn’t feel crowded at all; we could play with everything without having to wait in queues. Would highly recommend this place and we’ll be back again for sure!

Great space for the kids. I took a 4.5 year old and 9.5 year old and they both had a great time. There was enough variety to keep them occupied for a few hours. The bubble station was the highlight for them. But the food options in the cafe are limited and ridiculously overpriced (and includes a 10% surcharge on public holidays). $18.60 for 2 cornettos and 1 bottle of water is ridiculous. Would highly recommend taking your own snacks and drinks and sitting in the designated space where food is allowed.

This place is amazing!!!! I’ve been twice with my kids and we have all loved it. Today’s visit blew my expectation out of the water. There was a lovely lady, Maria, who works there and she was just fantastic! She spent so much time with my kids showing them around and helping them with all the learning stations. She was just amazing. Can’t say enough nice things about her. So thankful we went on a day she was working!!! We will definitely be back and most likely will get membership.

A fabulous school excursion! My group of 50 Year 2 students had the most wonderful time at Twisted Science today, exploring the hands-on and very interactive Playzone as well as participating in a tailored, Chemical Sciences workshop session. This excursion complemented and built on our current Science Inquiry focus in the classroom and a number of students commented that it was the "best day ever!" Highly recommend - we will definitely be back next year!

A huge thank you to Twisted Science for making Xavier's special day so memorable and amazing. A HUGE shout out to our party host Dan who was not only great, awesome and amazing... he was absolutely phenomenal!!! The best kids party host I've seen and experienced by far. Thank you Dan - you're the best! P.S. say hi to Lucy for us

It was a good short find for my 8yo nephew who was visiting Melbourne for a short trip. He completed the whole place and available activities in less than 2hrs and was like, "Let's go home I'm done". Some of the exhibits/activities were out of order or under maintenance. As an adult, didn't find it that amusing or engaging. It was Okay and small. Do appreciate the effort put in to create such a place though. Also there's ample parking available.

Great place with a large selection of interesting activities for our grandchildren (ages 4 5 & 6) Staff were helpful and cheerful. Facilities were all open & operating apart from 1 activity. The venue was was not over crowded Our 2 hour session seemed ample time to please the grandchildren and a small bite to eat on our way out. (Sadly there was a small mixup with the order though) All up we had a good time. Thankyou Twisted Science

I took my 3 year toddler here thinking a lot of the activities would be too advanced for him but we both ended up having so much fun here! The staff here were so attentive and friendly (better than most places I’ve been to). My only feedback would be it would be good to close up the gap under the railing leading to the ramp (platform area). My toddler just crawled under it and ran off, he was also swinging from them at one stage.

My daughter absolutely loves this place. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Everything is so well laid out and modern. The exhibits are both educational and fun for kids. One of the staff members, Maria, was great at teaching my daughter to make bubbles and showing her the lizards. It was a highlight of our visit. We ended up getting membership as it's easy to spend hours at a time here.

Twisted Science Moorabbin was amazing! My 11 year old and 10 year old loved it. There were plenty of activities to do and the staff were lovely. Having 2 different areas (blue and green) meant that it was not too crowded. The rest area was perfect to sit for a coffee. And the pre-school (tangerine) area was great for my nearly one-year old nephew. We will definitely be back.

I participated in a Grade 2 excursion to TwistED Science, and all of the students were highly engaged with the relevant and meaningful content within the workshop, and just loved the play areas too! I received excellent communication with the organisation of the excursion, which was very clear and structured. Highly recommend as a place to take students to support their learning in science, or as a fun place for your own kids to learn through play.

Went with 5 kids 12yo, 11yo, 8yo, 6yo, & 9mo, there was plently of activities to keep them all entertained for the entire 3.5hr session. It was great that all activities were in good working order, the whole centre was clean & in great condition. Staff were friendly but often hard to find while in the activity area. The only reason I’ve not given 5 stars was the cafe, the novelty items were cute but there needed to be more food options.

  • Natalie Avenell

Have attended parties and just taken the kids along. They ALWAYS love it. Lots of things to do and explore. It’s a great opportunity to just try something and tweak it if you need, and try again. Bubbles, rocket and paper plane launches are always popular and fun. We also love the stop motion! Take you time wandering around and come ready to have a go.

Twisted science is a really fun day out! My only complaint is that the sessions aren't long enough. We will have to go back again to see it all. Very nice place to visit. The kids loved it (1.5 and 3.5). Lots of interactive and interesting activities. I have taken off 1 star due to no small kids toilets which is weird in a kids centric place and secondly some of the sections weren’t topped up for example the bubble solution and the equipment needed to build your own car.

Was ok. Fun yes. But definitely not worth paying almost $120. Activities were fun BUT no science related explanations behind it. The energy bikes were the main thing with some sort of explanation. Walls to exhibits were very plain. Pretty much activity and figure it out. Kids probably walk out not inspired by science but just having done random activities. This I found to be more of an activity playcentre.

  • Wood L

Lots of facilities and activities that can spend a whole afternoon for kids. Cleaniness and variety are good. However most of them are more for kids / teens, not quite fair to charge accompany adults full price. Price a bit too steep for a science themed indoor playground anyway. I would hesitate to visit again.

This place is absolutely amazing. There are so many interesting things to explore. The place is divided into a few sections suitable for different age groups which is great. It's a very safe environment too. This place is a must visit. One suggestion I would give is that it would be great to add more instructions to explain the theories behind the experiments so kids can actually learn some science.

Kids had so many fun at this place, abd they can learn something too. I really want to give 6 stars if I can. My daughter likes the bubbles so much and wanted to play all day there. She had ended up with all wet :) The ticket is a bit expensive but worth it. The only thing could be improved is that there is no air conditioning system in the building. It was hot and humid.

A massive thanks to Tania, Justin and all of the staff at TwistED Science who ensured that our group of students on our excursion had the best time! There was something for everyone, from applying scientific concepts and reactions in the Chemical Chaos workshop, to engaging in a variety of hands-on activities in the BLUE and GREEN STEM Space. Very highly recommended!

Simply amazing. Perfect for 3 full hours of touching, playing, learning and fun. I can highly recommend it for under 10s and the bigger kids (adults) have a great time too. It's well worth the seemingly expensive entry fee!!

A little higher on price. Getting better entertainment on same price. But still a good day out. Kids spent whole 3 hrs n were never bored.

It might good for kids over age 1-5 ,but seems 2hours is enough. Adults tickets price is a bit high as parents not play that much:)

We had our children's birthday party here. 20 children and Harry was an absolute star! All the kids had the time of their lives and I had not an ounce of stress! Thankyou again from Harrison and Flynns mum!

Bit expensive but FUN. Very well maintained and run, enough to keep kids busy for 3 hours, they particularly enjoyed the bubbles, foam block things, magnetic ball run wall and air powered ball tubes!

I did like this. Similar to a small scienceworks and my 5yo had lots of fun. There were seperate areas for babies and toddlers. Just wish it wasnt so far away from us.

Just spoke with Lochlan who walked me through purchasing a Gift Voucher for my family. Very helpful and can hear the professionalism and kindness in his manner. Merry Christmas.

The best place in Melbourne to take kids. There are lots of good places, but this is now or favorite. So much to do, and some activities we would be happy to do all season.
