I intended to purchase false eyelashes that had a red sticker that covered the regular price that advertised the item for $1.25 per pack. When the cashier rang up my items, the lashes rang up at full price ($12.99). The cashier informed a member of management that the lashes were ringing up at $12.99, but wanted to confirm if they were still $1.25. The manager replied that she changed the price in the system the night before and that they should be ringing up at $12.99. I walked over to the section where the lashes are located and showed the manager the sticker that indicated they were $1.25. The manager proceeded to offer the following explanation: 1. The store is going through a reset, so products are being shifted. 2. Although the product I attempted to purchase matched the product that was advertised for $1.25, she would not honor the price because the exact same item was also displayed on a separate peg rack directly underneath for $12.99, so I would have to pay the higher price. 3. When I asked why the sticker was still displayed if they would not honor the price, she said they might receive the product on the truck that arrives Monday and at that time they would restock, if necessary. As someone who worked many years in retail and who has done several resets and revisions, the explanation I received was illogical at best. To simplify the situation, there was a double-facing of two identical products. One priced at $12.99, the other at $1.25. I chose the product from the $1.25 peg. Why would the store advertise the item at $1.25 and not honor the advertised price? A store reset is not the customer's concern nor should it be. Further, why refuse to remove the $1.25 sticker to prevent other customers from falling for the same false advertisement to eliminate this situation from occurring? As a platinum rewards member I was highly disappointed in the way the situation was handled. I have a choice in where I choose to spend my money on beauty products, and have no problem taking my business where I am valued as a customer. I hope this feedback is shared with the store in hopes that should mark downs occur, that the advertised price is honored regardless of what changes are being made in the store behind the scenes. Customers don't care - they simply want to pay the price that's advertised to them. Nothing more, nothing less.

I only gave them 1 star because there’s no choice to leave 0. I love Ulta! However, this location is horribly managed! Their employees sit around and talk with each other instead of updating their website with what’s in stock or answering phones! I was in the store as the phone was ringing and not one employee bothered to pick up the phone even though they were doing absolutely nothing, just pure laziness! It’s not the employees fault, but it is the Manager’s fault for lack of management!! Employees are just going to do whatever they can get away with, so either the manager needs to re-trainer or fired! They never have the most updated information on what’s in stock or not online and when you show up and they don’t have it in stock all they can ever say is sorry. Sorry isn’t acceptable considering part of your job is to make sure the phones are being answered and to keep the wesbsite updated as products are being sold! Don’t waste your time here! A product will appear to be in stock and when you call no one will answer. However, as soon as you walk in you see employees talking within each other doing nothing! They’ll only give you a sorry and tell you to check back at another time! Oh and once you complain is when they’ll go ahead and update that information online, not beforehand, it shouldn’t take an upset customer letting you know about YOUR PRODUCTS for you to know that they aren’t available! It’s not a hard job, I’ve worked retail! Get it together please!

This location really has gone downhill when it comes to staffing . I ordered online for pick up no email saying it’s ready for hours which led me to go in the store at the end of the day because it normally takes about a hour not even. I go in and can literally see my products sitting on the counter and then i told the lady with short hair and glasses she then proceeded to tell me that the internet was down so I’d have to come back tomorrow which is not a problem . The next day I woke up to a email that one of the products were out of stock . But how ??! I literally had my eyes on it the night before . I call to speak with a manager i wish i remembered her name she was very apologetic and told me she had the item re purchase online and to come back in toleave it up front Well the product was out of stock online so i completely did a different item and figured if just pay for the other item when i got there just to get to the store and the SAME woman with short hair and glasses acted like she had no idea what was going on when she was the same woman with my products in her hand the night before then i mention who i spoke to and the same woman said she didn’t speak to anyone regarding the matter lol staff always have been nice but it was a HOT MESS this day i could have pulled my hair out . Staff is always kind but id think they really know what’s going on in the store that well

This evening I had an horrific experience at this store. After working in my yard and running a quick errand to pick up an online order from an adjacent store to Ulta I decided to visit the Ulta store. As soon as I enter the store the cashier sternly asks, can I help you with something? Her tone and the way she looked at me said more. I am a woman of color with fashionable dreadlocks. I am hesitant to talk to her because I am very aware of “racial profiling “. The cashier assumed whatever she assumed maybe because of my style of dress, my husband’s work jacket, nursing scrubs and dusty yard work shoes. I reply to her question, and she signals for another employee (brown girl). The cashier immediately tells me what I came for the store does not stock. I immediately left the store (never left the front lobby of store) bc the situation was definitely uncalled for. I am an Ulta platinum member. And when I shop there it’s generally a splurge spree but now I am not uncertain about shopping Ulta.

But you will end up paying way more than that claiming that their prices have changed starting "miraculously" from the same day of your visit...they are lyers, professionally scammer and I'm talking about their Ulta Salon section. The other section of the store it self were they sell all these beauty products wasn't so bad, and the prices were fine. I guess that's because they aren't the one in charge of pricing them - long story short..Don't go to their Salon unless you want to pay $152.00 for ONLY hair conditioning and hair blow drying. Yes that the amount they charged me for both my daughters hair services.

This location treats their shoppers like criminals. I was hovered over, asked constantly if I needed help over and over, and made to feel uncomfortable. I had to listen to two employees force conversation as they stood close to me and stared at me smelling the perfumes. It completely ruined my shopping experience. The managers' responses to these complaints are extremely condescending. There have been multiple complaints of profiling in these reviews over the span of months at this location, and she continues to encourage this type of experience for her shoppers. I will never come back to this location, and if you want to shop comfortably, I suggest a different location. It is absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. I have worked in customer service for over 10 years and would never treat a customer like they treated me, like I was less than.

I love the variety of products at Ulta and have found that what I need is typically in stock, or else it is sold online only. I give the Keystone location 4 stars because I mostly purchase things online for same-day pickup in the store, and I find that to be an unwelcoming process. The pick up station is behind a large plexiglass barrier immediately when you enter the store. I feel like a pariah when I pick things up - like I’m dirty and have to stand behind the plexiglass, hardly even inside the store. I understand the barrier is due to COVID, but employees and customers who are shopping do not wear masks, and the store in general is a very open space without lots of plexiglass. So I don’t understand why the customers who are just picking something up are subject to the COVID treatment when other customers are welcomed.

I would have gave them a Zero, but that's not an option. I was not greeted even though an employee was walking directly towards the door as I was walking in. She continued to walk right past, I had to call for her attention. The make up I asked for was a complete mess. ( I just discovered there is make up residue over the mascara packaging and eye shadow pallet I bought). I had to aimlessly walk around the store as not 1 associate was on the floor. When I finally asked for help I was met with utter confusion as to what the product even was. While I was asking for help another lady walked up and confirmed what I was thinking no associates we're on the sales floor. She was told " Well we are here to help" in a very snarky tone. Overall my experience at this Ulta was horrible!

I visited this store today with my son. I had a list of about 30 items to purchase (I’m new to the make up world). Not one single person in the store asked if I needed help finding a single thing. One woman even asked another girl standing there if she needed help finding anything, but completely ignored me. Instead, the two ladies up at the front stood there having a full on conversation with one another. When I called to express my concerns the lady said “I didn’t see you standing there”, although she made direct eye contact with me the moment I walked in the door, which is when she should have asked if I needed help or at least offered her help if need be. I will never be back to this store location & hopefully the other locations offer some help!

Let me start by saying I am NOT a make-up person. Took my 11 yo granddaughter who had a gc. She is the make up lover. The staff was very helpful throughout our entire visit. They knew she wasn't spending a lot and still worked with her on colors, etc. Also, there are 20+ makeup brands inside this one store, from inexpensive to pricey. Something for all budgets. Long line but went quickly. I'm thinking I'll go back when I've the time and get some makeup (& lessons) for myself. The staff all obviously love their jobs and didn't make us feel intimidated with our lack of knowledge. Dreaded this visit but ended up enjoying myself. Oh - there is also a large hair product and appliance section as well.

I stopped by here today, to get a gift card for my better half. Apparently, Ulta beauty is the new rage, for make up. I can’t say that I can either agree nor disagree as I know absolutely nothing about make up. But she seems to like it, this is her favorite store. The store seemed rather large, with plenty of helpful staff members. I was helped right away, and gratefully so. The store was very neat and organized. There were many customers in the store when I arrived, with a steady stream coming and going. That’s about all I can say. If you need to give your wife or lady a nice gift. Stop by here for a gift card like I did, I think she’ll like it.

This is a really great store for all of your beauty needs. I went in for the morphe products that they are now carrying, but I also found a facial cleanser that I had not found in your regular drug store. The service staff was very helpful and attentive. Also, they can do your makeup if you want to see what the products look like on you. It's nice to get go swatch and sample and see what you are buying. Also, they carry a wide variety of hair products, even Paul Mitchell, which is just what I was looking for. Overall very nice store. I love the lighting, interior layout, the products, and the service! I will definitely be back!

I went to Ulta after not wearing make up regularly after Covid. I stopped keeping up with trends, my skin has changed(I turned 30), and I just had no clue what foundation to get. I wish I could remember their names but I was able to get on track with the right skin care and foundation that I needed. I feel so much better. The employees took the time to listen to my concerns, try on a few products, and were able to explain what might need to change in my skincare routine to help my makeup lay better. After a few days my makeup started laying better and I already feel so much more confident. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

Ive been shopping all day for 2 days straight and walked into every ulta and sephora i saw and never got real help until coming here. I believe his name was Skip, he was so kind and knowledgeable and eager to help me rework my makeup and skincare routine. put all the products on for me and explained the purpose for each step and best ways to get the look i want with the best shades, i bought everything he recommended and am so happy i can finally stop hopping from store to store hoping for a good helpful associate and will only go back to this location in hopes hes there! Staff (& manager) was not helpful at all. I needed shampoo & conditioner & the manager said that all brands have what I specifically wanted just go by what “smells good”. The workers were more concerned about stocking than customer service. Finally one of the hairdressers helped me but even she wasn't very nice. When I went to registers (no one was waiting in line) the two girls behind counter were talking and acted like it was an inconvenience for them to ring up my purchase. Going forward I’ll go to a different Ulta & hope for better service. Disappointed, do better.

Big shout out to Journey and Michelle at the Ulta in Fashion Mall Commons! I went in to beg a couple sample/testers. I had left my makeup at home on the NW side of Indy this morning, worked at 49th and Keystone, and had an evening event on N Meridian where there would be a photographer. I really just wanted a little foundation and cream blush. These ladies empathized with my dilemma and hooked me up with testers of my regular Clinique products and a tiny blender sponge. A few minutes later, I walked out feeling like I was camera ready. Thanks, ladies!

I would not recommend them to do your hair, only because I went there a couple weeks ago. I showed the lady what I wanted a few times, I got the complete opposite of it also she was very rough pulling my hair. Even ruined my face mask with the bleach she used on my hair! I had to fix my hair myself I wouldn’t let her touch my head again.. I also had to lie about liking my hair only because she wasn’t friendly and pretty rude and stand offish but was so excited what she did with my hair, I won’t go back there for my hair color again...

As I was standing in line today, a woman came in asking for get free sample she got from a flyer or something. She complained about having to wait in line. So the girl working at the register allowed her to cut in front of me and the five other paying customers waiting in line. For a FREE SAMPLE. Then they forgot to give me my free sample for spending over $40 in hair products, so I had to go back for it and I even waited in line. I won't be going back. Take care of all your customers, especially if they're paying you.

I tried 3 times to get a hair appointment. The first time they lost my appointment and couldn't help me. The second time my hair stylist didn't show up. The third time the booked me for a root touch up instead of all over color so there wasn't time for me to get my hair done. Had to drive 30 minutes to get there 3 times only to not get my hair done. Also, very overpriced!!! $300 to add a pink tint to my hair? No bleaching needed because i'm already blonde. Just needed pink coloring.

I came here to buy a specific item for my girlfriend and struggled to find it using the signs the store had but after 30 seconds of me looking lost an associate came up and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I ended up asking her some other questions and she was very knowledgeable! Checkout was great too, but the area was a little congested and hard to get to. I really love this place. I have ordered things on line and try to actually visit the shop when I can because we live a little over a couple hours away. It is a beautiful drive to get there. It is located in Madison, IN... a fabulous town on the river. This shop has fun modern farmhouse items to antiques, clothing, jewelry, candles, soaps, various food items like jams, beets, apple and pumpkin butters. This is a darling and charming place. ❤

I've never had a bad experience at this store. It's always clean & straightened. If I'm looking for something in particular it's always been in stock. The staff is super pleasant, friendly & willing to help. Damariz checked me out today...she was very happy, helpful & gracious when I had trouble with my contactless pay (my phone's problem, not Ulta's). She was efficient but not rudely rushing through the line either.

Just had a really bad experience here. I've spent so much money in this store, a few hundred in the last month but today I get treated like I'm less than nothing by two staff members. Two very immature girls were so rude and dismissive, sarcastic and clearly annoyed by my questions. You're in customer service learn how to treat people. And I won't be back to that location. Becca in the salon is absolutely phenomenal! I came in with my hair extremely damaged, brittle, and dry and she fixed it in no time! My hair is once again shiny, bouncy, and full. She styled it beautifully and I almost didn't recognize myself when she was finished. When I walked back into work, I got compliments left and right. Ordered curbside pickup, showed up when I received an email saying it was ready and went through the steps to say I was here. After waiting about 30 mins, I checked in again and called the store. Unfortunately the company closed down the Franklin, Indiana facility, but my wife still makes the drive to Indy. This time I was out and stopped by to get the shampoo and conditioner she uses. The staff was exceptionally helpful, even walking me over to get the correct product. I was in & out in less than 10 minutes, and that was because I picked up a new brush for her as well.

The cashiers had a horrible attitude. I think my cashier's name was Deanna (or so it says on my receipt) and my friend's cashier was rude too. I've been here twice and each time it's the same nasty customer service. No one asks if customers need help, and when I ask, it's very clear that they don't want to help. Went in needing help creating a makeup routine and finding what colors match me and the worker just walked me to an aisle and said look here and didn’t offer any assistance other than that even after I told her exactly what I needed help with. It seems like on the application for this store one of the requirements was “being rude”. Everyone in here was rude when I asked for help I got an eye roll with an “i guess” response. The whole demeanor was horrible. They didn’t help me find what I was looking for and I ended up leaving empty handed. Very disappointed.

They always have something I didn't know I needed. This place had everything from cheap to high end cosmetics, perfumes, nail Polish, hair care and much more. They even have a salon. Everyone is always friendly and helpful and even shows you how to best apply products and allows you to sample them before you buy.

Almost never fully stocked. Rare that the staff is always pleasant, you'll find one that's willing to help every now and then. I don't like that it's a store for makeup and there is never someone there willing to help you match colors go over products etc.etc. Could be I'm just used to places like Sephora & MAC
