My car @ Peugeot 308 GT had engine fault and took in to 2 Peugeot dealers where I was informed that one -my timing belt was finished and told the engine was going to get damaged immediately and another Peugeot dealership informed me that my catalytic converter was damaged & I needed to pay R15K for them to order the part while JSCI g go wait 2-6 weeks for shippingThe quote given at second Peugeot dealer was R31K plus labour. On receipt of quote I realized that I was being quoted on the wrong car a Peugeot 3008 1.6 GT. When I enquired on the incorrect quote & requested diagnostics report on my car, I was faced with non-responsiveness on both my several calls and emails. Literally ghosted my the Peugeot service consultant I dealt with at the second Peugeot dealer for a whole week. That made me very suspicious of if indeed my car actually went through a diagnostic check in the 2 days I left it with them. On googling on French Auto service centers, I found Uncle T and reviews were excellent & called him. Uncle T immediately asked several questions trying to understand my car problems & committed to come to my house to check out the car. It turns out the ‘engine faulty & car going into limp mode’ was a result of a spark plug that was not tightly screwed on and subsequently caused misfiring and that both my car’s timing belt & catalytic converter were in perfect condition and not the cause of the ‘engine fault’. Uncle T saved me R31K and actually diagnosed the problem and ensured that my car drives without any glitches for not even a fraction of the amount Peugeot quoted me on..That is superior quality service right there. The best French Auto in Roodepoort. If you drive a French car, Uncle T is your go to man for any mechanical issues. I was stressed after taking my car for inspection to some mechanical garage, due to some loud noise. The garage quoted me just above 20K and had a long list of things to be replaced. I then searched a French Auto in my area and came across Uncle T online, gave him a call and he came to inspect the car at my place, at a reasonable call out fee. He did a diagnostic test and only 2 parts had to be replaced. I spent just less than 5k including labor. My car has been smooth ever since. He even checked others parts and gave me advice on when they should be replaced so that I can start saving money.

I bought a 2nd hand Peugot 207cc that I wanted checked out. Contacted Uncle T who called on me at home, ran diagnostics and immediately advised what was wrong. He then sourced the parts and came and fixed the car (serviced it at the same time) Car drives like a new car. Prices are very reasonable. Only he will work on my car from now on.
