Where do I begin. I sent a package to my son at his place of business. The package was to be delivered by 3PM Wednesday, 12/13/2017 that would be yesterday. No package, he spoke to the mail deliverer at 5PM Wednesday, he stated no package, no more deliveries today (Wed). Guess what, tracked package, , it stated the US Mail man tried to deliver package at 7:05 PM, commercial building closed at 5PM. A big fat lie! No tag on business door. So today, I am on hold for 40 min to a 800 USPO number, the local number to Bryant Ave San Francisco PO local number just rings and rings. So my husband goes to my local PO for help, a waste of time. My son is now on his way to the San Francisco, oops he is there. Guest what? they can't help him. He needs to go to another PO further away. His does not have a car. I am now on hold for 60 min to the USPS, my son now has to find a way to get to another PO in San Francisco. Finally I got through to the 800 PO number. Their answer, "Can't find where package may be" he gave me a phone number to the PO Annex. Guess what? constant busy. This is one of many bad experiences I have had with the PO. A simple joke. My next visit will be to UPS Store or a Fed Ex location. I'm done with people who simply don't care. I can't post without hitting one star, not deserved.

Would give zero stars if possible. Extremely unprofessional Manager who would not provide his name, but had no problem allowing his supervisor's name to be available to me. Despite Maria Lopez the supervisor being as kind as possible, she was unable to connect me with her Manager. Her manager was advising her to refuse to open a case number in regards to a package that went missing on September 19th. He instead told her I needed to call another Post Office. This post office had done their job and it was visible on my tracking information, but I called the number anyway. Because they had done what they needed to do, they were also unable to open the case number and advised me to call the original PO back or call the general line. I called Maria Lopez again and again she refused to open the case. She informed me her manager would contact me and ofcourse he never did. Despite Maria wasting three hours of my time during the busy season for my job, I was extremely kind to her. A month and a half later, I am not so kind. The manager of this PO needs fired and a review of employee conduct needs to happen. I have contacted Consumer Affairs and the general line multiple times and will persist until I hear back.

If I could give this a ZERO I would! I ship packages every week using the 2 day flat rate and I swear by the service. I've only had a package go missing 3 times in the last 3 years. One was my fault, one was my customers fault. This third time though is absolutely the carrier's fault. Tracking updates were false, which I only found out after getting someone on the phone (which took 3 days to do) Tracking said delivery was attempted, but the person at the post office said the package arrived to them late. The next day the carrier left the package who know where!!! The recipient received their mail from the carrier, but there wasn't a package. Tracking says it was left at the front door/porch, even though the address is a business address, and the recipient was there ALL day. This is not the first time my client has had trouble receiving packages I've sent. This is the only post office that there has been any trouble with shipping to/through. It's one thing to lose the package, but to lie about it goes too far!

I have never had such poor customer service in my life. There is this Asian lady with pink hair that was so unnecessarily rude to me that I was dumbfounded. I asked about a Global Express Guaranteed (their most expensive international service) envelope which I dropped off with HER the day prior, which had no online updates at all (not even that it was accepted). Within 10 seconds of my approaching the counter, she interrupted me as I asked a question and turned to the person behind me, "can I help the next customer please?". I hate to be "that guy" who holds up the line and I was so shocked by her outrageous behavior, that I left and decided to come back the next day with more courage to confront her. She wasn't at the counter that next day, and my package was finally found, so ultimately the problem was resolved. However, she belongs sorting heavy packages in the back, not talking to customers.

I am very upset with this post office. I mailed a package out and the package was lost/ not be located. So i called to try to get help. For starters the person was rude every time i would talk she would not let me finish what i was saying. I literally had to ask her can i finish talking because i could not get a word out. Then when i asked to speak to a manger or someone else she told me they are going to tell you the same thing i said, i told her that it was fine can i speak with them then she informed me that they are to busy to speak with me i then told her ill wait on the line then she told me no to call back later (it took me almost an hour to even get anyone on the phone) i just wanted to some type of help and instead i got someone who seemed to be rude. if i could i would have gave this place no stars.... I REALLY WISHED I READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE I WENT HERE!

One of The worst post office The entire USPS system here in SF is negligible Packages are left in bushes and often don’t arrive The USPSweb sight doesn’t work correctly No updates no texts no nothing Says that my package is being delivered on the 22 at least a dozen times but nothing ever was delivered Have been waiting for a package for 2 weeks No one seems to know where it is My mom spent $50.00 to send me some cookies And USPS doesn’t seem to care at all that the package is missing the web sight says its being redelivered but that is not true it never came And I have not received any text or messages that I signed up for on your web sight. Does anything work at the USPS? This is one of the worst post offices there are many and I would try not to send anything of any value through the us postal system It’s derilic and broken and they don’t care Zero stars

I was sending a package to a friend in the Army and mistakenly filled out a priority express label. I realized that I made the mistake and took it to the counter to an asian lady with purple hair. I showed her the address on the form explaining that I mistakenly filled it out. She then immediately asks me why I used the express form and how I'm wasting the forms. I explain again that it was a mistake and she again says not to waste anymore forms. She hands me a regular priority mail sticker and as I turn she again explains to me the difference between priority and priority express. What is this lady's problem with the stupid label. I came here to send a package to a friend not to receive a lecture about my mistakes that I admitted from the beginning. Obviously all the negative reviews are spot on.

Many on the same complaints as others. Marked “delivered” when I was home and have security cameras that show no delivery occurred. This has happened 3 separate times. I have filed a complaint with USPS and they have told me “well my records say it was delivered. K. Bye.”. I will get “ business closed” notices for packages when the roll up door to my space is open, again, security camera shows no attempted delivery. I have tried to get them to redeliver via USPS website and they NEVER redeliver when I schedule it, and then send it back to sender. I have gotten to the point that I refuse to purchase from companies that ship usps unless they give me the option of shipping another carrier. Someone please create a better package delivery service!!!

Horrible service. Just horrible. I work around the corner and sometimes they will leave our mail in the front lobby on the floor! Are you serious??? Not to mention, every time I call there has never been anyone there to answer the phone. Dealing with the USPS is so frustrating! They deliver wrong packages, send our packages to who knows where, and there's absolutely nothing we can do about it. They have random new employees every week who know nothing about our route and probably don't even care. I can't stress enough how horrible it is working with them and it makes me angry just thinking about all of the problems I've encountered during the last few years. Don't trust them with your packages! 90% of the time they will go missing!!!

Consistent misinformation. Stolen item. The employees have no clue what they are talking about and just give out wrong information to people. They tell me to call USPS customer service and Customer Service tells me to go to the Bryant St branch. I rely on USPS because they are the only ones who can ship things out of Ukraine during war time. A very valuable piece of art was stolen out of my package. I received a package with nothing inside. This issue has taken so many back and forth with USPS I gave up talking to them because of the branch. This branch is impossible to work with. Someone stole something from me, I have the empty package to prove it, and this branch just moves me along to a phone number like nothing happened.

I have the email from the Post Office sent to me daily which shows the letters that are being put in my mail box that day. Then yesterday it showed that I had seven letters - one was my Visa statement, one was from the Dept of Health and Human Services (which I was very curious about) and one was a birthday card. None of them were delivered! The rest was junk mail. I went to 1600 Bryant to see why and the woman there kept telling me that the mail is delivered daily. Yes, I know that , I said but I had to repeat four times that I had no mail delivered!! She said she could not help me because she was "a clerk, not a carrier". I left a note on my mail box for the carrier today, but as I expected, no response from him.

I have a PO Box here that I can literally never check! I didn't ask about lobby hours before getting one at this location, so I don't know if I can really complain, but the lobby has the same hours as the desk, which is extremely inconvenient, especially on weekends when it's closed. The service is semi friendly, I'll say cordial. This location is always extremely slow, I usually wait about 15-20 minutes if I need to pick up a package with a couple people in line ahead of me. So negatives are: VERY limited hours with no extended lobby access hours, slow service and no parking. Positives would be... they are close to Safeway so if you happen to be grocery shopping midday on a weekday it's a convenient location.

This branch's delivery people regularly marks items as delivered when they have not been delivered. This branch regularly marks items as undeliverable because "the business is closed" when the 'business' is a residence with a 24 hour manned front desk that is well lit and accessible 24/7/365. I think they must be understaffed because things regularly turn up after they have been missing (marked delivered or undeliverable) for up to 8 days. They are unavailable by phone (the line rings and rings and rings) and close early during regular business hours so they are unreachable to file complaints or queries. I've never had such a negative experience with USPS as I have had with this branch.

This place hires people who steal packages my carrier Caren not only tried to not delever my package she told me to order a new 1 and stated over my amazon app it had been delivered in my home.. After contacting law enforcement she gave her boss my package she had in her possession for several days.. She got in trouble and now she not delivering my mail slips that says i can pick up my package... She came to my home and threatened me. Lied on me and her friends in that post office are letting her get away by saying Caren doesn't want to deliver my mail... Is that illegal or not ? CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES IN THIS PLACE.. PLEASE FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS

Nearly every time I go here, I cringe and feel horrible for the customer interacting with the lady at the left counter. For example, today she said to a customer, you are taking too long how about you go back and decide, I could have rang up three customers by now. She is typically pushy to avoid cash tender and still tries to get the customer to use a card repeatedly. I tend to think that people that are constantly rude have other issues going on in their life that they express this in controlling or negative ways. I hope she finds happiness for her own well being and to make going to this USPS at least tolerable.

I’ve been to this office twice looking for a package I ordered from Greece and rescheduled for pickup. I have never seen post office workers look so lost. I can’t imagine how disorganized their mailroom must be that they can’t find packages. Many people in line stated they had the same happen to them repeatedly at this location. I wonder if the packages are getting lost or stolen? I’m just saying this post office felt pretty suspicious & sketchy. Additionally, the employee there was not very apologetic or concerned either. I felt shrugged at. Very disappointed with this post office location.

This was the worst Post Office experience of my life. Could not reach anyone on Saturday, January 16, 2016. Line was busy for several HOURS !!! Finally decided to trek 2 miles thru the rain, just to ask the mysterious Delivery Supervisor, Elizabeth Downing, a simple question. I know she was there too, because when I placed my first (and only successful call) at 4:30 AM, I reached her. She was "too busy" to take my call then -- so I dutifully waited 3.5 hours and began calling back at 8:00 AM. I have been calling approximately every 5 minutes since then, always getting a busy signal. Ugh.

All Post Offices need work, I'm sure, but this one needs a face-lift on top of all the work it needs internally. Nothing is ever stocked when you're looking for packaging to ship your precious items in and if there are envelopes, there are no means of keeping it sealed - i.e. tape. The pens are all gone from places they used to live and don't bother asking for one behind a counter. The employee's themselves never smile or enjoy their jobs and are hit and miss when it comes to being friendly. It must be in their job description to frown constantly.

Can you give negative star numbers? I didn't even want to give them a one, but I had to to post this. I have tried for 3 weeks to get a postal employee out to our residence to do their job and change a postal lock so that our mail can be delivered after having a gate installed. 3 weeks. No calls back. I have gone in person twice. called about 20 times to NEVER have them answer the phone and emailed USPS to complain three times. Still no where. WE PAY OUR TAXES AND DESERVE TO GET OUR MAIL!!!! This is as shameful as the current election!

Vimi refused to give me his name after repeatedly asking about 12 times then accused me of trying to get him sent back to Mexico. I asked him to use the priority mail tape and he refused so I asked for his name to write a complaint. He turned this into a huge show for the post office saying that I was going to call "Donald Trump". Not only is that delusional, I'm also a democrat with Latino relatives. This man needs a reality check. Will never go here again. I am late on business now dealing with this crackhead post office

This post office is the closest to my house that is why it is very convenient for me to go there! However, I will start from today to go somewhere else. The service is very bad, the employees are rude and it seems we are bothering them when we have questions or concerns. After being treated badly for the umpteenth time, I decided to write this review. I will take the time to go a little further for my post office businesses so I can be treated politely and with consideration which is not much to ask.

This place is trash. They can't seem to deliver packages (saying at 11:59AM that a business that opens at 12:00PM is undeliverable), they don't answer their phone, and they don't try to deliver "on the next business day." Gee, I wonder why the USPS can't stay afloat. Could it be TERRIBLE delivery times, apathetic workers, and rude OR nonexistent customer service? USPS needs to be shut down. UPS, FedEx, ANY OTHER COURIER can do it better than this joke of a "business." Trash.

for the past 2 years we have had bad service for mail they can't deliver the mail at all you go day's without your mail and they come up with the reason that they are in training to have someone to take over the rout and when you call the 1800 number you get put on hold for over a half hour or an hour they make good money and they just don't care if you have mail or not and when you say something to the postman about the mail not getting delivered they don't want to hear it

On February 22nd 2019 at 10:23, I dispatched a package address to FLorida in this office, same day February 22nd 2019 at 10:54 this package was delivery to OP Plus office in Castro, same city, in San Francisco. There an employee named S. Clayfield received and signed my insured package. USPS tracking # said delivery to the original sender which was me. I did not received. PLEASE READ ALL REVIEW. I arrived at my local post office to get my mail that I put on hold and there was two other customers are waiting patiently and one person working in the front as I wait patiently with the other customers before me I bring the Buzzard and the lady in the back of yelled didn't even come to the front or say about what was going on and she was yelling saying she looking for some reason they're all very rude very unpleasant did not like customer service or at all

The people that work here are generally nice, however the way the building is staffed is increadibly poor. There is often a 20+ minute line for package pickups with only 1 person handling this while the other 2 counters at the other end of the building that cant process package pickups just sit there with no line. Add this to frequest issues with carrier delivery errors and well the place is just a cluster of yuk.

I use this post office regularly and am thankful for the efficient service. I am noting the poor reviews here and suspect they might be related to one employee who is very terse and sometimes rude ( though knowledgeable). Otherwise, i have found the staff welcoming and helpful. I appreciate the location as well (near Safeway and Petco) and the fact that posting and picking up packages are in separate areas.

They cannot deliver mail. they SUCK. We live in a condo and we keep getting notices that our packages could not be delivered because the business is closed. The USPS has a lock box that has the key inside and they could just buzz the apt number, but no. they would rather just go home and not actually deliver packages. I have asked Amazon to stop using them - and they will not answer their phone...ever.

Just came in one day to add someone to my PO Box and when I reached the counter the woman "helping" me was so incredibly and wilfully rude for absolutely no reason, I just couldn't believe it. It is a terrible place. I think her name is Elanor. I can't remember but looking at all the reviews and even a picture of her with pink hair is in one of the comments below. How does she still have a job?

It's an okay place, I would not think that this was a post office if it wasn't for the sign up front. The staff were friendly and did try to locate my package I had here left over a week ago. They make sure they got your items and if not will try to at the very least make the difference for the work in between the places noticeable for people later on to see.

This place should just be shut down. They don't deliver mail to my work all week, not kidding and then they tried to deliver here on Saturday, when we're closed. They're phone is constantly busy and employees are actually hostile. Like yell at you hostile. The phone number listed here is wrong and they don't actually answer their phone, surprise, surprise.

Claimed no access to building - that was a lie. Our camera never picked up anyone at any of our doors and we had someone waiting in the lobby at that time. Spent 1 hr on main customer service line to get local phone number, and no answer/no machine. See that others have same complaint. Will make sure to not allow USPS for our deliveries going forward.

I pd for 1-day delivery Tues. 10/10/17, pkg ws to be delivered by 3pm 10/11/17 to 94103 zip. Needless to say...it was not delivered & has yet to be delivered. Mail carrier lied, sd no access to bldg @ 12:19pm. Apt. bldg. mgr. sd someone is always there during normal bus hours & mail carriers know that & will lie & say no access, when they screw up

I mail packages and letters here several times a year and have for the last 3 years. The staff is helpful and is always willing to answer my questions and get me the best deal and best fit for my needs. The woman with pink hair who was mentioned negatively in other reviews has been helpful and friendly each time I have been there. No complaints.

The old Asian lady was very rude second time going and she’s always rude gives a bad attitude she should be fired she’s very pushy and doesn’t help customers well I asked for help and she said no she can’t help I asked if there’s was maybe a number I could call for better assistance with my problem and she said no but in a rude manner

Had a label ready. The Asian lady said that I didn’t have to wait in line but I have to tape my small box for shipment. I asked her if they have tape she said only for sale. I asked her if they accept the credit cards she said the internet was out and there is no way she could borrow a tiny piece of tape for me. Thank you!

I came to this usps office September 17, 2021; around 5pm. I just want to thank Lena for your patience and great customer service. I see that this place can get very busy and customers get frustrated but she does an excellent job and respects everyone. I’ve been to this location a couple of times, and Lena is a nice lady.

The most unhelpful post office ive ever been to, staff was outright rude. Was asked to change lines 3 times after waiting 5-10min in each. A 1 minute drop off ended up taking 30 + minutes. there were flys all over the place and overall was dirty by any standards. cant believe my tax dollars fund this. avoid at all costs.

I received outstanding service from "Yaner Xu" at this location. Yaner went above and beyond to find out why my package was returned (usps' s mistake) and figure out how I could reship it on the spot without having to file a claim to get my money back then ship again. I really appreciate Yaner's help!

Walked in, no one there to help, used the automated postage kiosk, put my envelope in the box, and 2 months later, DMV STILL HASN'T RECEIVED MY MAIL. This is the WORST post office EVER. Should shut down due to lack of delivery, customer service, and being a horrible USPS. Will be filing a claim.

My driver's license was returned three times because the post office on Bryant could not do its job. They are horrible they have no regard for a persons urgency to receive a government issued document. They suck!!! I agree with everyone else about how this place should SHUT DOWN!

The ladies are often a little rude and conversing in Chinese when you request anything that requires real effort. I do business with a company that only accepts money orders. So I'm forced to go here. It right across form Safeway so I assume that explains why its often so busy

The workers there seem to have zero motivation for speeding up their service. Although they seem very nice, every time i go i see them chatting and laughing with many customers before me. That makes up for the cold service that i personally get from them.

Try and avoid having a package sent here. No one is here and if they do come and help you the worker will go to the back for 30 minutes and tell you that your package isn't here, even though Amazon shows a photo of the delivered package at the location.

The slowest post office I've ever been to. There are usually very few people here (maybe two in front of me at most) and still it's a minimum 20 minutes of mind numbing waiting for no clear reason.

I think this post office does a fabulous job. My client has a huge variety of mailing requirements and the post office workers at this location are incredibly knowledgeable and efficient.

Definitely NOT open until 5:30pm. I rushed here after work (left early too) and got here at 5:15pm. It was all boarded up, definitely closed.

Often has long lines but has an automated machine which is good for purchasing stamps quickly. The automated machine has no line.
