The worst place I've ever dealt with. Two of the "managers" Gurmeet and Dave only care about when they are getting off. Waited 45 min to get a certified letter with no one else waiting. Gurmeet comes up with what do you want? I was waiting for a letter for 30 min. He shuts the door and comes back 15 minutes later throws the letter at me after i signed. I said excuse me. He says you got what you want im busy and Alaska the door...Had a package waiting there. Went to pick up and the other manager Dave comes up to the door, tell him picking up package. He sighs mutters what the f@#k under his breath and walks away. Really? What are you paid for? When he returns there is spit on the box with a nice big hole in it. Which liked looks he poked it with a screwdriver. No one is ever held responsible. Worst place ever. Do everything online if you can and use ups. It's worth couple extra bucks not to deal with these inconsiderate people

First experience here, it was terrible. The lady who works here was incredibly condescending and rude to me. I felt discriminated, humiliated in front of other people. I couldn’t pay attention to her name when i was under stress. She was an Asian American woman with black hair and black glasses. She was extremely vulgar in her speech. I wanted to get a money order and an envelop. I have recently moved to Seattle from Europe, and I m not familiar with the postal system. So I asked some questions to understand what I should do. My English is not fluent and could not express what I wanted to say but I would expect her to act professional. Her attitude was unprofessional and she didn’t try to help me. Other customers waiting in the line helped me instead of her while she was at the desk. She ridiculed my questions in front of other people. In fact, she laughed out and spoke loudly. I felt so humiliated, discriminated.

By far the worst post office in Seattle. Packages don’t get delivered, mail goes to the wrong houses. My favorite was catching a mail person talking on his cell phone while delivering...amazingly enough, he had messed up the mail...he was a address off...he was ahead of himself by 1 house. That’s just one of many!! I have security cameras, so when the post office tries to convience me they did their job, I always have proof. I use to call and complain to the management, but after catching a manager straight lying to me, I call a national number to report the office to a higher power... not that anything has changed. We haven’t had a regular Carrier in years!! Everyday, for years, others fill in to cover our routine. So there is no one who knows out rouite...ransoms who deliver our rouite after doing their regular rouite. Not having a regular carrier happens...but for years on end??? In Seattle prober!?!

The worst post office I have ever had to deal with. I called to close out a PO Box in which I was told I would have a money order mailed to me within 3/ -5 business day and it has now been 3 weeks. Every time I call the office it takes several calls before the operator will answer. Then when I ask for the Post Master they are never there. Then I have to go through the operator which I’ve been told numerous times that they would call me right back with information concerning my refund in which I never receive a call back. This is ridiculous and outrageous on the costumer care and professionalism. At this very moment as I type this review I have called 3 times to speak to someone and still have not gotten an answer. I have given my name and phone number and the P.O. Box associated with me and never can get someone to professionally handle the matter in returning the money owed to me in a timely manner.

I went in to ask why my mail was not being delivered and the man I spoke with (he had a mustache, glasses, and small opossum eyes) was instantaneously and extremely rude, told me if I wasn't getting my mail it was being sent back, refused to look for any mail that might be there for me, told me they deliver mail to addresses by memory and if a new name appears on the mailbox they return said mail to sender, then proceeded to swear at me when I told that was an unreliable way to handle important mail, then slammed the service entry door in my face and threatened to call the police on me if I didn't leave. I still have no idea where my mail is, and can not get it. The man working covered his name tag so I couldn't get his name, and also did all this in front of his daughter. Why he had his kid there is also beyond me. This person should NOT be handling our mail!

Pretty certain this location lost my package yesterday. Dropped it off at 9am. Asked for a tracking slip before I left, yet they refused. Afternoon pickup came and went and my package is no longer at that location (supervisor looked for it) and it has yet to be scanned in the system, despite the fact he assured me all packages are scanned before they leave the facility. Luckily, I have a tracking number from the return label - though it lists the package not available. Funny thing is, every other post office I've ever been to has always immediately scanned packages on receipt and provided tracking verification upon request. I should have just kept the package when she refused the tracking. Lesson learned. I'm sorry if this is your local post office, but given a choice, I'd avoid it at all costs.

The post office delivery worker repeatedly keeps putting vacancy slips in my mailbox all of the sudden. I went along with it, filled it out 2 weeks ago only to find another vacancy slip from a different carrier. All of this is also causing critical mail and parcels to be held and returned. Short of moving, you can’t change your post office. They also never answer the phone. If you live in 98115 forget about filling out slips or phone calls, you just have to go in the old fashioned way. Ironically, the wallingford post office, much closer to my area of 98115 (Greenlake), clearly a knowledges Wedgewood does not pick up the phone. I’m sure no action will be taken from this post since USPS is a disaster and still blaming Covid. The takeaway, just go in person.

I'm Canadian and this was my first time using USPS. I saw the reviews on Google but did not trust them at first. However the black hair lady with black glasses was extremely rude. She rolled her eyes and yelled at me for something I didn't understand and she refused to explain nor provided any information. She told me to figure it out myself and get out of the line in front of other customers whereas other people tried to help me out. She was impatient to an old lady too. Not everyone is familiar with the US postal system. If the service isn't helpful at all, then what is the point of having it? I understand this job could be stressful but we are not here to absorb negative emotions. She needs to adjust her mood for work and relearn how to respect others.

I got called for an apt number and after giving it to them they began to lecture me about putting the address on the package. I let them know that I did when I bought the product and it was for my sister. they said "we are just trying to help me" and I let them know again, I had done what I needed to do, did they need anything else from me. They said "well if you dont live there we arent going to deliver it" and hung up on me. COMPLETE disrespect. I do not know who I spoke to but he had an indian accent and he was incredibly rude and disrespectful. Now my gift for my sisters birthday, that came all the way from australia, may not even make it there becaue he got upset that I did what I needed to do and he couldnt lecture me like a 5 year old child.

  • Claire Smith

EDIT: doesn't know how to use a call box, refuses to give an entire building their mail. No customer service at all. Called the number, took me over an hour to get someone on the phone. I finally did and she was extremely rude, saying they couldn't help me and she wouldn't even if she was able to. this is AFTER the delivery person lied, said he left a note, and did not leave any such note. So now my package is getting sent back because of a liar of a delivery person who was too lazy to care a 4 lb package, and a rude liar on the phone who wouldn't even access her computer to help me, and she kept calling me the wrong name. looks like im not gonna get that gift to myself after all.

  • Munsy Man

The self-service kiosk and drop-off window make it convenient for skipping the line when dropping off prepaid packages but unfortunately the scanner/computer doesn't recognize the new USPS Ground Advantage labels. Handing your packages over the counter for a receipt will always get you a "We don't give receipts anymore for prepaid packages. You gotta do it thru the kiosk." UPDATE 10/27/2023 8:40am I just tried to drop off a prepaid package but the Asian lady refused to scan it to print a receipt even though the kiosk was out of order. I told her they've done it for me recently and she still said no. Terrible service!

This is an employee appreciation post for Mike at the Wedgwood US Postal Service office. On 12/15/2022 at 8:00am, Mike at the front desk really went above and beyond for each of the people in line (and they each had their extracurricular question/problem!). For the first it was having 6-7 personal boxes to mail out to different places with incorrect zip codes written on most of the boxes, for the second it was lots of questions about expedited shipping and extra insurance costs for sending packages to New York, etc. He handled each encounter wonderfully! Thank you for the excellent customer service experience, Mike!

  • Lauren Anderson

The rudest customer service I've ever seen. I spent 20 minutes in line with an argumentative man (grey messy hair, glasses) who was incredibly condescending and rude to a Polish woman who wanted to buy stamps. He gave her major attitude and had zero customer service skills or tact. He also would not explain to me why my bill was higher than what he said it would be and refused to reciprocate my politeness. So disgraceful. He also wouldn't stop fighting with his coworker (Chris) and treated her like a child, when in fact, he was acting like a child at age 50+. Should not be in customer service.

  • Frances F

Went to mail a package and had the worst experience. Waited in line for 10 min, once I got to the window I was told I had to get out of line to make the shipping label since they wouldn’t do it for me. Waited in line for 15 more min. Once I got to the window the woman said “you didn’t tell me this was international” and made me get of line yet again. The line was over 15 people long at this point with only one person at the window. She was incredibly rude. Opted to just keep the items because it definitely wasn’t worth the horrendous return process through USPS

  • Georgina Chandler

There is an older Asian lady who works here (she was working today on the evening of April 17th) who is so mean and unhelpful. When asking simple questions such as “when will my package arrive?” she responds with aggression “I cannot guarantee anything”, “there is no way I can tell you that”. She was rude and completely unwilling to help me. I am left feeling uncertain and worried about my package and upset after being verbally abused by the employee. This is the second time this week I have been treated badly by this employee and it is totally unacceptable.

  • Mimi Noyes

I am very surprised to see so many negative reviews for this location. I live in the University District, but the post office there is terrible - always huge lines and not enough staff. I go out of my way to use this post office because they have easy parking available and short lines. I’ve also had nothing but friendly, courteous, and quality service from the employees there. I’ve been using it for mailing packages now for four years and I’ve never had a bad experience. Even when there have been lines, they always move quickly. Maybe I’ve just been lucky?

  • Snuzzle

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I was hung up on several times, called nasty insults, and they refused to give me their names. After that, they refused to pick up the phone for me. Not sure if they blocked my number or just have caller ID and refused to pick up for me. I'm filing a complaint, but after seeing reviews from almost a year ago with the same complaints, I'm not hopeful anything will be done. Everyone should have this kind of job security.

  • Roberta Rigo

I go to this office about 2 times a week (I have a small business) and only 2 people are nice and knowlegebale. Quite often there is a line and only one window open. I had to wait for an employee to come back from break or lunch, because the person at the window does not know how to handle my transaction ( this happened on several visits) Quite often there are new employees and they do not seem to know or care to learn. Xmas time is a nightmare!

  • Chase Huffman

TERRIBLE Customer Service! I received a notice that there was an issue with our mailbox being blocked. I went to the office to discuss alternatives and what we could do. The manager Dave yelled at me in front of everyone and refused to actually let me know what we could do, and I found out they had actually been holding my mail for three weeks prior to the notice. NO ONE should feel DENIGRATED when trying to talk a government service agency.

  • Ross Fenton

Don't answer the phone number they gave me. Put my mail on hold without telling me. Standard USPS garbage. I wish I had a job where I was accountable to nobody, customer service did not matter, and I could not get fired. Also Dave (mentioned in other reviews) is a liar. He lied about his boss not being there and lied about when he would be there so I would not be able to talk to him.

  • Alejándro Dalí

Rude people. Let's start there. Then my letter to someone in the city took 14 days! Haven't gotten mail for 2 days and last time I asked they said "we thought you were on vacation". So my payments are late, my paychecks sometimes don't site up for a week after they're sent by my employer. I'm just not happy with them. If I could choose a different provider for my area, I would.

  • Kaarin ការីន៚

I only use this branch's Automated Machine cuz the Lake City one is homeless-shelter status so lobby is locked and their machine is not accessible. Parking here can full up very quickly, try park in that Xmas tree lot just North of driveway. Never had to interract with an employee here, but always a quick in-n-out at a clean, safe post office and the lobby is always open.

  • Carla Pickering

Worst post office ever for service. I have moved into my apartments almost 3 MONTHS ago. No mailbox keys. Apartments have emailed and emailed them to bring new keys. Nothing. I went up there and the lady was rude and said they don’t just come out and change mailbox locks. They make an appointment and then go. What? I NEED MY KEYS EDGEWOOD!!!! Bring me my keys!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Aaron Williams

This place is the very worst Post Office I have ever used. My fiancee and I mailed our wedding invitations at this post office. Two weeks later, no one has received their invitation. When we went to talk to the manager, he told us that that entire day’s worth of mail had been lost on the way to the mail processing plant. How does something like this happen!?

  • Colin

Extremely rude and condescending behavior from the lady at the desk, all I wanted to do was ship documents the fastest possible way as I have done several before and she gave me a bunch of reasons why I could not. Went to another local post office, no problems, she didn't know what she was talking about. Will never come here again. Pathetic.

  • Sebastian

I only had good experiences there. Super helpful staff. No idea why they kept getting 1-star reviews. Sometimes their tools break or they run out of boxes, but I guess this is inevitable. Only giving 4 stars since I had to queue for a bit once. Again, not their fault but 5 stars in my mind means excellence.

  • Peggy Arendt Pyle

Thank you Abraham! I had a large mailing and you weighed and hand-cancelled each package. Not only that, you were professional, efficient, and very nice about it! Since I was there for a while, I appreciated how the staff worked cooperatively, always in the best interest of the customers.

  • lei

they never answer their phone calls for whatever reason. I missed a call from them about a service request I filed and called back multiple times, never ever managed to get anyone picked up their phone for even once. What's the point of having a phone if you don't ever answer it?

  • Sherry Smith

In the midst of peak Christmas-shipping season, the folks at this post office were fast, friendly, clear, and efficient. I zipped through the line 10 minutes before closing and it I mailed six packages all over the country in under 5 minutes. Wow!! Such nice people, too!

  • Lee Stringfield

I mistakenly shipped an item to myself because I accidentally switched the sender/receiver on the box. *Ahmed* got me taken care of, he subtracted the difference in cost to the intended destination. Everything turned out well, and I'm happy with the service I got here.

  • Zhen Song

The advisor in this location is very bad and very mean, not nice or friendly at all, I will never go back to this place anymore even if this was the only USPS left in Seattle. I don’t recommend this USPS. Please be prepared to be yelled if you have to go.

  • Lhorna Murray

The people who work here should not work with people. They should not work with animals either. Better suited to pound rocks into gravel and gravel into sand in a desert somewhere -away from people. Also, the lines are almost always ridiculously long.

  • Juliet Shen

Mailed a domestic package Priority Mail at 12:34 pm, 8/9. Expected delivery date printed on receipt is Friday 8/11. Tracking shows it did not even leave Seattle until 8/11. Refunds only offered if you paid for express mail, so no accountability.

  • Patty M

I handed my mail on August 5th in person through the window and started tracking it, when I see the tracking four days after says mail was received on August 6 th @ 7:24 pm and is in transit. It did not leave until the 10 th of August very slow.

  • Mahi MPQ

Lost my dress that I was supposed to wear to my sister's engagement!!!! They delivered my package to a construction site with no mailbox which was 2 blocks away from my house. all they could suggest was go get a refund from the merchant!!!!

  • Anna Yemets

It's very easy to see why this place has such horrible rating - in fact it epitomizes everything that's wrong with Seattle - uncaring cold people & nowadays severely short-staffed establishments. I've lived in Idaho for years in the past

  • WEI DAI

Abraham is one of the worker here and refuse to help out. I was just trying to get a pre-paid envelope and double check the stamp is not a meter stamp. He said he cannot help and wasted his time. His manager is not trying to help at all

  • Nadine Cooper

I am not sure why this place gets a bad reputation..the customer service is on point..must be miserable people having a bad day that have made the negative reviews. Everytime I go to the post office it is a great experience.

  • Devin Peterson

They keep saying they can’t deliver a package requiring a signature saying nobody was home. Every time this has happened I have been sat around waiting and they never even knock on the door or attempt to get a signature.

  • Javier “Petilu”

No wonder USPS is going under. One employee for a line of 8 customers during the pandemic. I wanted to use the self service machine and scale was broken. It's a shame. Customer service has always being an issue there.

  • Tiffany

Went to this USPS, dropped off a package, followed all instructions and paid for it to be mailed. 3 days later this package showed up at my front door because the staff member did not put postage on my package.

  • Tonya Kellum

This is the slowest location in North Seattle They typically only have 1 person working desk stand and average wait time 30 minutes 15 people in line today & they never called a second rep for help

  • Alexandrea Marts

People are always fast and friendly. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews here, I will go out of my way to go to this particular location because parking is easy, and I enjoy the staff.

  • Kendall C

Wasn’t able to talk to a real person on the phone and the automated system didn’t have what I needed. Had to drive to the store in person for them to answer a quick question. Staff was unhelpful.

  • Margaret Wilkinson

The counter workers are the most ignorant and rude USPS employees I have ever encountered anywhere. Even when shown different information on the USPS website, they continued to insist otherwise.

  • John Cruz

Worst Customer Service or should I say nonexistent service.... "Dave" knows nothing of it. I can see why this location is hiring...no people skills must have a correlation of the high turn over

  • Alice Burpo

Bad experience. Not recommended. The good news is that I have luckily discovered a service called Kiwiship. Their service is super awesome and if you work in the area, you should give a try.

  • Jean Chaumont

First experience here, it was just perfect: short line, cheerful employee helping me joyfully and trying to make me save money. I’ll be back, good thing I just moved in the neighborhood.

  • Katrin Hosseini

How could they deliver my package to an address totally different which was 2 blocks away from my house??? The package is lost and all they offer is sorry we can't locate your package.

  • Joanna Oster

Feels dirty every time I go and takes awhile to send things off. The box drop off machine doesn’t work very well too, it squeaks and is difficult to pull down when your hand are full.

  • Maya Rowland

Shortest week before Christmas line I’ve ever seen! This is the most efficient post office in Seattle, I’m convinced. Staff were so kind and helpful, I hope they all get raises.

  • Jim Bomb

My first time filing a tax return by mail and the employees here were really helpful in guiding me on how to send certified mail. This happened back in March 2021.

  • Matan Arazy

Super helpful staff. Helped me with a complicated international shipment. They were polite, patient, and took the time to make sure everything is right.

  • Greg Jones

Had a great experience, had 40 boxes, a carrier loaned me a cart then took all for me to the mail room before the post office even opened. thank you!

  • Mellanie Boeckel

The carrier lied about me not being home and now I’ve called like 8 times and still no answer, still on hold this is the worst service ever.

  • Xiaoyu Liu

I came here twice. Last time the counter was very nice and extremely patient. This time an Asian elder female counter was very rude to me.

  • Naeem Ghodsian

Went there to ship a small package and the lady at the counter called me cheap! I’m like haaaaaah!! Idk what to say! USPS slow rude people

  • Julien Yahara

Terrible customer service, no matter how nice you are to the workers they are always rude and cranky back to you. Do not recommend

  • dsugi

There was a long line but the side window was open for simple services. I waited and waited and waited but no one came to help.

  • Steven

I had a bad experience with the staff. Why are they rude and why can't USPS provide customer services like Fedex or UPS does?

  • Patrick Old

Worst customer service ever. They are ignoring customers in line, and taking forever. SHIP AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION!!!!

  • Lisa Satterlund

The carrier threw the package onto my porch, then cut through my garden to exit via my carport. Seriously displeased.

  • Michael F. Menaglia

Surly clerks, bad attitude, messy stations, when you have the only show in town, you don't have to try harder!!

  • Isaak Tine

Very rude customer services, they don’t know what are they doing?! I’ll never use the location ever …

  • Lana Forguson

Because the doors are always open when you want to drop a letter or a bill in a secure outgoing mailbox.

  • Austin Baker

I might have taught the woman at the counter how to read an address, can't guarantee she got the point.

  • Kat McGuire

Literally some of the worst customer service I have ever received. The employees were SO rude. Unreal.

  • Alvin Loong

Lobby closed after 6pm and on Sundays. No access to PO boxes, package dropoff, or postage machines.

  • Paige Barber

Went in at 10 am and only had 2 people in line. Customer service was lovely and super efficient.

  • Brian Barger

Wasted my whole lunch hour on hold. Never got through. How long do they expect you to wait?

  • 张译午

the employee should go back to high school and learn how to speak with his/her customer!

  • Emily Taylor

What I needed to do to get my package mailed but the service was very friendly and fast

  • Julie Brown

The lines are sometimes long but the staff are always helpful and knowledgeable.

  • Padungkiat Buadaeng

Worst place in the world. Bad service. Employee not nice to customers. Helpless.

  • John Kim
