I don’t have a choice, because I am zone to this post office. I received text stating my package has been delivered. I was at home all day. When I get the text stating package was just delivered a second ago I come out nothing was delivered. Check my security camera no package ever delivered that day. Each time I complain my package shows up 2-5 days later. I am starting to think did the employee just keep my package for themselves and try to blame some thief going around the neighborhood stealing. The only thief I could think of is the employee, because my security camera doesn’t show the employee ever drop off the package. When I complain they never reach out, phone ring off the hook no answer, manager never bother to reach out each time I complain my package is missing. It’s an ongoing problem. I file so many complaints thru the USPS website. I am missing total 4 packages today. Show delivered check security camera no one ever delivered not even a single package today. This needs to be investigated.

Hello.. I have attempted to contact USPS regarding my package that has mysteriously gone missing but I’m only given the run around. The package stated it was delivered yesterday and it was left at receptionist or mailroom… it was not. I work at the apartment that I live at and there was no package left there. I also asked the carrier if he had the package and he lied and told me no. This package is worth a lot of money and I am someone who hates being lied to. I want my package. If the carrier has stolen my package.. either he returns it with no questions asked or I will proceed with legal action. There are cameras on every area of my community and I will be checking each camera today to find where this carrier stashed this package. Our set location for our area is River Oaks in Houston.

Long line. No worries. Pretty much expected. Picking up mail only. Entire line asked if only here for pick up drop off etc sent to wood door ring bell and would be serviced. Rand 3 times now over 15 minutes and I would be next in line had I not been sent to a door NO ONE answered. USPS if a failing business with good reason and this office is a great example. Polite and kind thanking everyone for their patience but why be sent to a door if no one answers. Unacceptable. Disgusting. Unorganized. Unprofessional. Thank you for wasting an hour of my day because I had to get back in line and if course wasn't allowed to be helped first even though I'd been waiting. What a joke. I'll go over pay for a milbox and have it forwarded. At least then I'll know I can get it in a timely manner.

This is the closest post office to me by far and yet they aren't the one that services my area. They are completely unhelpful if you need help with your mail and they aren't your post office, it blows my mind that the post offices aren't all connected on the same system. They told me to go to another post office which is miles away to stop getting mail sent to a former tenant or to talk to the person that delivers the mail, really? They aren't able to just note something in the system if they aren't YOUR specific post office. Useless. Otherwise, the wait usually isn't too bad if you go at off peak hours, and they are reasonably helpful with sending mail, just ensure you go to your post office for issues receiving mail.

Place should be closed down. One window open, long lines no matter what time you go. Worse than the usual place. They make excuses about “receptacle full” to not deliver packages that I ordered through Amazon. Went to post office today for one that apparently couldn’t be delivered because my receptacle was full despite my entire driveway being wide open and my wife sitting in the house. I waited 15 minutes in the lobby which was like 100 degrees. Then she told me my package was literally “left at my door”. Asked her again if she meant left at my door. She said yes. Went home, nothing left at door, not a sign, and package now 4 days late since first “delivery” attempt. USPS needs to be privatized.

The postal service is bad in general is bad but this is an extra terrible extension of an already failing agency. If you have the choice, visit a different location. Unfortunately I do not have a choice but to be serviced by this location. My packages are consistently marked as delivered when they are not, mail is occasionally left on my doorstep, in the rain, instead of my box, and I had to replace a package to the tune of $500 out of pocket, plus much more than that in inconvenience, which was "delivered" but absolutely did not show up. The only solution seems to be to get a P.O. box in a slightly less incompetent postal area. Shame on anyone who purports to be "in charge" of this place.

  • Tina Swangphol

Horrible delivery service: - Don't even attempt to deliver package that required signature. Don't ring door bell. poorly secure delivery slip. Only way I know, someone "attempted" the delivery is through the tracking texts!! I had to try to find the slips from my front yards. - We have a huge mailbox with huge opening almost as big as the USPS mailbox but they don't seem to be able comprehend on how to use ours. They left package on top of the box instead of putting them inside!!! Begging to be stolen?? The only way I can't post this is to give them at least 1 star otherwise, I will not put any star!

Dropped off 2 packages and wedding invitations. One of the packages arrived the other ... disappeared after showing it was still at the post office for 2 weeks. Very reassuring from a government service. Of the wedding invitations sent out only 30% have received the invitation. I had to call every single person to find out whether they received their letter or not. I wish I'd read the reviews before dropping off anything at this location out of convenience. I urge others to not drop anything off here, this is unacceptable. How does the post office expect to survive with this type of service?

  • Cori Scherer

Every negative review is true here. I come to this location 2-3 times a week and am shocked they haven’t been shut down or investigated/helped to improve. It’s actually wild. Always 1 person working with a line out the door. 0 sense of urgency. Rude. The self-service kiosk NEVER works. I come to ship with priority QR codes as do many others. It hasn’t been working for a month now. Half the line would use it if it worked. This is by far the worst office I’ve ever been to and unfortunately is the most convenient. Really wish they’d at least fix the machine to alleviate wait times.

  • Levi Pangani

So, I thought that my package was lost because it was not scanned and I could not follow up by tracking number. But later after 7 days I found out that package actually was delivered very next day from the sending date. Thanks God it was delivered and it seems that they deliver very fast. Just misunderstanding was regarding the tracking number. So if you have the same issue, first try to check with the recipients if they got the package. Im giving 5 stars because im realy glad now that package was actually delivered, even though its not trackable on the USPS system.

  • Marg Zadouri

This was a terrible experience with the supervisor Cole (a young pregnant lady) who screamed at me, wouldn’t give me her last name and asked me out. I am a teacher and don’t luck patience and good manners but the rudeness of that woman caught me by surprise. I have been going to this post office several times a year for more than six years. Well, never again. How can anyone be a manager with horrible people skills? Everything over a damaged package that did not reach its destination. Rude! Rude! Rude! No manners. No people skills.

  • Shan Melonson

I hardly ever receive my packages on time or as expected. There is always a delay. I was told by one of the workers it would be in my best Interest to pick up my package because the mail carrier has a lot to cover in my area. I’ve complained so many times, the last time I complained (and had to pick up ANOTHER PACKAGE) the “supervisor” said on the weekends, carriers from different facilities cover the route. THATS NOT MY PROBLEM THEY SHOULD BE TRAINED ADEQUATELY TO ENSURE TIMELY DELIVERIES. They have not been helpful at all.

  • Katie Roman

Went to cash a USPS money order there. Their card system was down so they were only taking cash. I went to the counter and told the guy the reason for my visit and before even checking the tilt he says he doesn’t have enough cash to cash mine. BUT like I mentioned they were only taking in cash. He asked the lady next to him and she says “we don’t cash those” but it’s a USPS money order. So how do they sell the money orders but can’t cash them? And can’t cash them because they don’t have cash when they can ONLY take cash

  • Stephanie Kae

Reliable and slow. This location is reliable in its service. If you need service from a person, be prepared to wait, they are ridiculously slow... However, if you only need regular stamps, or you need to mail out a letter or package, they have the computerized terminal. It only takes debit/credit card. The machine is fast and so far, I haven't had any problems. You can drop letters and packages off in the secure draw/slot to the right of the machine 24/6. Sunday nights, the drawer seems to be closed/locked.

Honestly, I feel like the low ratings is due to overly high and unrealistic expectations of customers. I have been to other post offices and have been met with HORRIBLE attitudes. This one is always a joy and pleasure and to go to. There is one particular employee (sorry don't know his name but he is a very tall black man with an infectious attitude) that is ALWAYS very positive, sweet, and willing to help out. He makes my daily trip to the post office very positive. Keep up the good work guys :)

  • Leticia

Visited this location today...WORST service EVER!! Kiosk didn't print out half of my stamps. After standing in line, I was given mismatched stamps and when asked if I could get 20 of the same since this was for a bulk mailing, I was told No. They could not refund my money either. So I left unsatisfied. This experience lasted an hour...just for 20 stamps. This was the FIRST time Theresa didn't make me feel like a satisfied customer. The other lady with the faux dredlocks...no comment.

  • Laurence Lingle

This station is poorly managed and staffed by personnel uninterested in doing their job. Repeatedly, the carrier for Allen Parkway Village simply will not deliver packages, instead enters "no access" on tracking even though she is actually on the property. On one occasion she actually opened one of my packages, crammed the CONTENTS into my mail box and then apparently discarded the package, resulting in a false report of a break in. The carrier repeatedly fails to collect outgoing mail.

  • DRFB

USPS has done well recently however I think this location is particularly very bad. The service was way too slow, one employee attending to over 50 people when I was there waiting. I waited a long time just to get basic service. It's not about apologizing to customers as they come to the counter but through your actions show respect to the customers time. There should be at least 3 people attending to customers at any given time. Otherwise the place will always remain jam packed.

  • Anthony Smith

Dave DeBlasio: Delivery status for two packages said Friday, Jan. 8, 2021. However, I did not receive these packages. I've been on a goose chase with postal service to locate them. Talked to Ms. Jackson at the post office a supervisor who said she would try to locate them. I've been getting mail at the same address for 10 years. She said they had a substitute carrier. Certainly even sub carriers know how to deliver the mail. When I have my packages, I'll up my rating.

  • Melissa Gabel Morse

I live nearby to the post office at the corner of W. Gray and Dunlavy and have appreciated the friendly service that I consistently receive from the employees. They work steadily throughout the day, often checking if they can help customers get their packages sent through the self-service counter to speed the process along. I think a friendly greeting goes a long way to make their day more pleasant and, consequently, make the customer interaction more positive.

  • JESSICA TAYLOR

I called them to let them know that our mail has not been delivered in 4 or 5 days. They left me on hold for an hour. A lady answered and I gave her our address and she said let me check who your carrier is. She never came back to the phone. My boyfriend drove there from Stafford and got there.I was still on hold. They have no respect of people time. They did not come back to let me know they are still working on it or to check on me. THE WORST POST OFFICE!!!!

  • No Sistina

Workers do not understand the essential functions of their job. They refused to scan my QR code, which is literally a redirect for a point of sale, so I could get my shipping sticker. I went to the USPS on Richmond scanned my code and sent my package out in under a minute. This USPS doesn't need to exist, just down the street is a far better alternative with workers that understand you aren't stealing a shipping label you already bought if they scan it lol.

  • David Clx

This USPS location needs to be intervened by the Federal government. The work environment is so highly dysfunctional that workers even physically assault each other. Many of the workers display signs of narcissism, Machiavellian behavior, manipulative behavior, sociopathy, etc. If you are having problems with your mail services, go to a different location and they will solve your problems. (Not the Montrose location. They were not helpful either.)

  • Alvin Pinon

Horrible employee and staff !l! Nightmare of a place!! I went in and waited in line at Kiosk to buy a overnight priority stamp and then it was broken. Waited in line yo buy it from window and I was told they where sold out to buy it from kiosk. They called the manager to help which I mentioned the kiosk was broken! He went outside and told me to get back in line!! Then told me they ran out of stamps !! I spent 3 hours and left with out a stamp !!

  • Lee H

I have never had a bad experience at this location. The volume of packages that pass through the hands of the employees there is enormous. The postal workers are always helpful especially navigating the paperwork associated with individual postal rates. They explain the costs and allow you to move to the side, complete the forms, and jump back in without going to the end of the line. Very accommodating. Customers need to be more patient.

  • Felicia Dibrell

As with the other comments this post office is the worst. Stop blaming COVID for your issues, you are a mail carrier which means you can read. Stop giving me every body else's mail. I have came in person more than once to try and get this issue resolved and nothing. Products I have purchased have been so called "lost" and nothing is done about it. Some of your carriers have come with and attitude. What is wrong with you people?

  • Linzi Pan

Rediculous service in this facility, it’s slow, the clerk was rude and doesn’t want to give a single extra word on things. They refuse to help me tape my printed label to my return package, and forces me to purchase their tape. It’s just unbelievable how crazy the national postal service can be. Please fix those things before it gets to a national concern, not everyone have so much time and energy these days to deal with it.

  • M. Saleem

Came in twice today to attempt to mail a package. Both times the line was out the door into the self service lobby. The second time I waited for about 30 minutes and only two people were serviced that whole time and I still had about 12 people waiting in front of me. I left and drove 20 min to the Unity Drive location and was in and out in less than 15 minutes. There was a line there too but the workers are more efficient.

  • Dora J Maxey

This is the worst post office ever...not apologetic at all, very rude workers slow as molasses...they wander why USPS have their up and down...The customer service is zero, they don't speak or acknowledge you at all...Customer Service is a must for me....If the workers don't want to work or deal with customer give the job to someone who really wants to work. One associate took 30 minutes on one customer not good at all...

  • DaLanena Frierson

Would give 0 stars if I could. An Amazon package was supposed to be delivered through them. They claimed “receptacle too full” all though it was empty and they didn’t even follow instructions nor called and I was home. Rescheduled delivery online and they ignored it. Called and finally got ahold of someone and they said they would redeliver later that same day. Still nothing! Calling is useless just like this location.

  • Glenn Ray

I've been using this Post Office near my place of work for a couple of years now and felt it was time to post a review. The logistics of the parking and outside mail drop-off area is not well done. However, the staff are top-notch. They have always been friendly and willing to help expedite simple tasks for persons in line. I have never had a bad experience there and they are a credit to the Postal Service

  • Yilun Dai

They don’t do acceptance scan here. I dropped a package here 12 days ago and tracking still says waiting for shipment. I went to their counter and their staff was extremely rude. The lady rolled her eyes at me and kept telling me it’s not their responsibility to scan packages. Now my package is nowhere to be found. ️ Here’s some rolling eyes for you, USPS, how about that ?

  • Sameer Deshpande

Had an excellent experience at the River Oaks location. The employee was very customer friendly and answered our questions patiently. He was also very knowledgeable and suggested some cost efficient options for shipping. We went on a Wednesday afternoon around 2 PM and it was not crowded at all. Parking availability is plenty and hassle free.

  • Lauren S

Post offices can be very hit or miss. This one stays very busy, and my expectations for US post offices is pretty low. That being said, I would say about 7/8 experiences here have been pleasant. The employees are respectful, and they do their best to keep things moving (honestly, the customers cause more of a delay than the employees).

  • Chante Thomas

This was THE worst experience in 36 years and a shame. Tremaine at this location was absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL and rude. It was painful just to understand what options I had for mailing out a package. Why? It’s insane that someone hired her for this job. You are there to SERVE people not dish rudeness especially around the holidays.

  • Kay Walton

This is probably the worst PO in Houston, the staff is rude, disinterested in helping with anything, slower than molasses...I am sure there is a class to teach postal workers how to move so slowly. The line of people waiting for service is always out the door. They give conflicting information and make no effort to resolve problems.

  • Lauren Perri

their system is “down” almost every week. and they don’t fix it for weeks. came last week to try to print prepaid labels with QR codes and their system was down. came back this week and it’s still down. last time this happened it was down for almost two weeks. seems like they don’t want to fix it so they don’t have to work.

  • Andrea Fierro

The only reason I go to this post office is because it’s near my house. For the past 5 years of living here and going to the post office I’ve had enough of the staff that works there. They’re rude, not helpful, sarcastic and snappy. Not to mention they throw your fragile packages around like they’re nothing.

  • TW B

This is the most incompetent office in Texas! The drop box has been taped off as out of order for at least 4 months. So is the one inside the door. I am handicapped and must drive to other PO to drop mail. My local mail often takes 4 - 5 weeks to arrive. They need a complete management replacement!

  • Logan Nguyen

I am so disappointed the way that those employees work on USPS. They are so lazy and they aren’t help anyone to find the package. I don’t know that people can working on Government offices to mailing everyone that can be lazy and can’t find the package in their store( because they lost our package)

  • Erika H.

This is the nearest post office to our office and we will never understand how they have only one person working the majority of the day. Especially during the busiest times. The line was out the door due to only one staff member at this location. Unbelievable. The service wasn't too great either.

  • River Oaks Beauty and Weight Loss

Overall all post office are so darn slow and careless. This location is even worse. So far they have lost three of my packages we no results.I absolutely despise going there. They take so much time regardless if the line has gone out the door with couple window open only, totally senseless.

  • Hollywood JB

This place is awful. Always an attitude with the woman who works the register closest to the door and the postal workers use excuses like “heavy” and lie about the receptacle being full to not deliver your packages. I live in an apartment with a designated package room. What a lazy excuse

  • Taylor Gonzalez

Henry here is a breath of fresh air! He has a great smile. I came into pick up stamps for my wedding 'save-the-dates' and he help me pick the cutest ones! Just very nice. At USPS, I usually feel like the clerks are always mad at me. I appreciate Henry for being so kind and positive.

  • Ashley Ruth

Every mail carrier we've had here at this post office puts all our mail in neighbors boxes. Literally every single day I have to pull my mail from someone else's box. Plus, they have not delivered my magazine subscriptions in 2 months. I'm sure they've left them at someone else box

  • S H

3 stars for the office staff as the lady who helped me was nice and found my packages for me. But the package carrier is an absolute joke. Some days they just decide they’re not going to do their job and just don’t deliver mail, and then claim “no access to location”.

  • J Johnson

Worst post office customer service at a very busy PO. Sometimes they open on time. Sometimes not. Usually only one (unqualified) clerk working. While the other 4 windows are empty. Or the popular clerk just sitting on their phone with their window closed. Garbage

  • Beauty Supply HTX

❌❌ The worse service in all the USPS office , is the only office don't want to take the package with label . The ladies are rude, i think when you hire the employees this is one of the requirement. ❌❌❌ This is the worse people and office. …

  • Blake Huddleston

It's always something with this post office. Save yourself the aggravation and drive the ten minutes to another location. 11/29/2023 update: nothing much has changed in four years at this location since my original review. Picture attached from today.

  • Fe

Clerk 26 today... My advice is that you find a career that brings you joy. This isn't it, and it shows. I wish they had a computer and a scale I could've used for my package. Would've been a lot more pleasant to walk up to a machine avoid

  • Brittany Fisher

Understaffed, long lines, the drop box is usually locked or broken. I've dropped off two different packages in the box outside and neither were ever scanned in according to the tracking. I lost over $60 in sales due to this negligence.

  • Eric Jezek

Incompetent, rude staff and poor customer service. Moving back to Texas from out-of-state and needed to rent a PO box. We had to wait 30 minutes in line, then the clerk wouldn’t rent to us because our driver’s licenses were from New

  • Karis Kim

I sent my package on a Tuesday night. Its been two days now. My tracking number says it hasn't been shipped. Do not go to them at all. Go to UPS, Fedex, or a different USPS to get your items shipped and to arrive on a timely manner.

  • Laura Bowen Wegener

The two female workers in the post office today were fast and courteous, even a couple days after Christmas. The line moved quickly and there was NO unnecessary attitude. I was dreading my trip only to be pleasantly surprised!

  • Mark

They need to hire workers that actually know common sense customer service. instead of acting like they are being punished for being there. Rude abrasive and completely unhelpful. Seriously uSPS needs to stop hiring lowlifes.

  • Paulina Palacios

I read all the bad reviews and my expectations were very low but actually my experience was great. Everybody was kind and helpful. I visited the post office about 3.30 pm so It was few people and it was so fast. I liked it.

  • Evan C

Useless, rude employees. Broken self service shipping/stamp machines, so definitely do not come here after hours. Just a very terrible experience in general. Wasted my time twice coming here trying to get something shipped.

  • Eric Carlson

You pay for service to accept packages at your post office box and then they refuse to accept any packages and return them to sender, costing you hundreds of dollars. Just terrible. Words can't describe the incompetence.

  • Mihai Pintea

The worker was nervous because the shipping address was too long. He had to be replaced by another postal office worker. The postal delivery is also missplaced and often important envelops opened, as bank mails

  • Phillina Lofton

Extremely lazy postal carriers. Will not deliver packages to the door and constantly losing packages for my apt community. When you go into the post office, there is a long wait and then nothing gets resolved.

  • Sonia Mendez

I came to buy one stamp and drop off my mail. The lady’s where so nice and informed customers with proper information. Yes, there was a line it was lunch time. But over all great experience.

  • Bennett Bartlett

Worst post office I’ve ever dealt with. They’ll just decide not to deliver your mail for days or weeks at a time. Or mark things as delivered when they haven’t visited your house all day.

  • Julian

I dropped 4 packages off at the mailbox on a Tuesday night (after hours drop box)...they finally shipped and showed up on tracking the following Monday...4 business days later?!?!?

  • Jimmarie Shiyou

They are horrible with customer service. There isn’t any. They don’t even open on time. They don’t care. The most frustrating and horrible place to have to go. Avoid at all costs.

  • ashley gonzales

The drop off is often locked and you can’t drop off packages, today it was broken. I’ve had packages go missing also. I see a homeless man walking around often in there at night.

  • Chels Shelly

The people here don't allow you to hand them a drop off to get a receipt. Do yourself a big favor and head to the one on Greenbriar for solid service and great employee demeanor.

  • Valarie Clay

The attendances at the service desk were very efficient in getting customers serviced making sure there package(s) were being shipped as desired. Appreciate the great service!

  • Marie Schwartz

Bunch of Karen's work there! No professionalism! They need to go work on an assembly line so they don't have to deal with the public. Karens …

  • Dr. Kevin Lun

Extremely rude workers, short with directions - not caring on the importance of a receipt or safety of the package that you may need to ship.

  • Demondre Peak

I went to mail something and needed service but no one was there. It was 9:20 and the post office opens at 8:30. Absolutely unacceptable.

  • Raylene Noriega

Very poor service, always a line out the door and only one person working. They most definitely need a raise and more people working.

  • Yevgeny Venetsky

My first time visiting this location. Will never go back there. Service worker was so rude. I don't know how they keep their jobs.

  • Hema Yalamanchi

Packaging and shipping supplies are never stocked. You have to wait in long lines to even request them to stock. Terribly run.

  • Nathan Sims

Haven’t had the best experience with the workers here. One woman is nice but very dry - no problem. Another not so friendly.

  • Jay Michaels

This has to be the rudest post office I’ve ever been to. Never have encountered anyone pleasant- it’s horrible

  • Shane Cunha

I agree with the other reviewers... this facility has horrible customer service and unresponsive employees.

  • Robert Hallenbeck

Automated Postal Center (kiosk) to ship packages 24-7 is broken and has been for at least several weeks.

  • Andrew Roseborrough

I come here frequently, staff has always been friendly and moved the line as quickly as possible.

  • gio hernadez

Horrible service ever this people need better costumer service training.

  • Spencer

Nice self service…
