The Uttara Guruvayurappan Temple, located in Mayur Vihar, Delhi, is a serene and spiritually enriching place of worship that holds a special place in the hearts of its devotees. With a history that dates back several decades, this temple is a testament to the thriving Indian culture and tradition in the heart of the bustling city. One of the striking features of the temple is its architectural grandeur. The temple's design is an embodiment of South Indian temple architecture, characterized by intricate carvings, vibrant colors, and a majestic gopuram (entrance tower). The temple's ornate and beautifully sculpted idols of various deities, with the presiding deity Lord Guruvayurappan at the center, are truly captivating and evoke a sense of divinity. Guruvayoor temple is one of most beautiful temple's in Delhi, majorly visited by South Indian devotees. The place has space for multiple marriages at a same time. The place has good devotional powers. I have been to place for multiple marriages, and the good part is the arrangement and feel at the place. There are marriage hall which has more than 3 floors and each floor can have one function at a time. Multiple catering services are available at the place and each one them offer tasty food. Since it is a temple only vegetarian food can be included in the menu. On can choose from South Indian menu or North Indian menu or even mixed menu as option. The decoration is usually same for all kind of functions. The temple also has facility for other kind of southern cultural things. Visit the place for devotional, foodies and functions at a same time. It is a beautiful temple.

I visited the Uttara Guruvayurappan Temple in Mayur Vihar, Delhi last week and I was very impressed by the serene and peaceful atmosphere. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and has a beautiful idol of him in the sanctum sanctorum. The temple also has shrines for other deities such as Ganesh, Shiva, Durga and Hanuman. The temple is well-maintained and clean, and the priests are friendly and helpful. The temple offers various services such as poojas, abhishekams, annadanam and prasadam. The temple also organizes cultural and spiritual programs for the devotees. I felt very blessed and happy after visiting the temple and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the divine grace of Lord Krishna.

The temple is very beautiful and well organised. It's a south Indian temple in east Delhi and full of mixed devotees of lord Krishna. I visited the temple on the day of janmashtami and the temple was decorated beautifully. I had peaceful moments. The people of gurukulam performed different dance performances and all were amazing. The most attractive part of the temple is 1000 diyas which are lit up by common people in the evening. I also became a part of this holy process. One must visit the temple because the god Guruvayurappan looked so beautiful and peaceful.

Our search for Onam Sadhya Thali took us to Uttara Guruvayurappan Temple (उत्तर गुरुवायूरप्पन मंदिर) located at Mayur Vihar Delhi. The temple complex was built on Kerala style of Architecture & is dedicated to Shri Krishna, who is worshiped as Guruvayurappan, This temple is a replica of famous Guruvayur Devaswam of Guruvayur Kerala. This is possibly the cleanest & best managed temple I have visited in Delhi. Temple was built in 1983 but I doubt Delhites know such a amazing place of worship is so close to them. They have a canteen, which serves authentic South Indian Food on Weekends.

  • Vipin P Vijayan

Kerala style temple located in Mayurvihar. Main deity is Lord Sreekrishnan. Busy street in front of and back of the temple. Parking is tight. Entry is possible from front and back. For vehicle pooja entry is from back. Carry sufficient change with you if you want to give dakshina. Very difficult to manage it within the temple premises. There is a cafe for break fast at the back gate which offer keral style food. When I visited the temple staff sitting at the billing counter was arrogant. So I decided not to eat from there. A lot of better places available near by.

3 star Peaceful and quiet as it was not a festive time. The temple visit has it's energy and the attached canteen is good. The management takes away one star with their attitude, inability to provide satisfactory information and taking the visitors for granted. The priests add one star. Last line : Visit if you know or after getting all info on what pooja/arpanam has to be done and never expect the management at the temple to help you.

An artistically and beautifully designed temple which reminds us of the famous Sri Guruvayurappan Temple in Guruvayur,Kerala. The ambience is neat and clean with a spacious location and a beautiful architectural design. The temple which is situated in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 Extension, New Delhi is really a great place for anyone who loves seeking serenity and tranquility in the divine presence amidst the hustle and bustle of a metropolitan city

One of the best temples I've ever visited. Check it out at around 4 or 5 pm as you'll experience a magnificent view of 1K Diyas lit around the temple walls. If you're lucky then on Sundays you can also get to experience traditional South Indian Style Bhandara (Prasaad Serving) on Paper/Banana Leaf! If you can't get Bhandara (Prasaad Serving) then don't worry, check out the Canteen inside Temple premises! You can have superb quality South Indian Cuisines therein. Most recommended for people who visit for the first time.

A sweet piece of Kerala in Delhi. Very clean place with serene atmosphere, even when it gets busy on weekends. I do get to feel the vibes of being in Guruvayur itself. We always try to visit this temple every time we travel through Mayur vihar or nearby. There's also a South Indian canteen (near the rear gate to the temple), which serves delicious South Indian breakfast, and the rates too are like how it would be in South.

Amazing temple everyone must visit to this temple with your full family members also take your friends. You will feel positive energy inside you when you enter the temple and the ambiance inside the temple is very amazing. Peace of mind and soul . This temple is based on South Indian culture as the name also tells the temple culture but no restrictions are there while entering. If you make any mistakes there are temple staff to guide you and take care of you.

  • Srushti

Felt like I celebrated Onam in Kerala . The temple is in Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 but the vibe is entirely of Kerala. What an architecture. The lightening of diyas on weekends is so amazing to witness . Their canteen has some mouthwatering south indian food options at a nominal price. Must visit for experiencing Kerala culture.

The temple is very peaceful and energetic. As soon as you enter the temple the energies are very positive abd meditative. It also looks beautiful because of the way diyas are organised all around it. Looks like a lot of it is made of gold or is gold plated. Must visit place

Sriveli with a fully decorated elephant carrying HIM at New Delhi !!! Super awesome. The temple, as like any other temples in Kerala, is super clean. Lots of cultural activities happen with the temple as the fulcrum There's a small canteen at the back side, that sells authentic south indian tiffin items. The temple too sells typical Kerala prasad like Neiappam and Aravanapayasam

  • Nikunj Barnwal

It's like a small part of 'God's own country' in Delhi. You're advised to maintain silence once you're inside the main temple. Complete Keralan Culture! The arrangement of lamps looks amazing. You can try Keralan food (affordable pricing) over there as well.

Could not resist when my friend told about a Guruvayurappan Temple in Delhi. Added to my check list and been there done that on the eve of Vishu. The idol is as similar to the one in Guruvayoor. The charm of sandal paste covered Lord Krishna... The committee members deserve a kudos for the arrangements they made for the Vishu.

  • Venkatesan Kasinathan

Well maintained and got the same feeling as I was in kerala. One must try the Prashad (Appam & Aravana Payasam) being sold in the temple. One can try the south Indian breakfast in the canteen.
