Very friendly and professional doctor and locums but the receptionists, the 2 sisters in particular are rude, lazy, unsympathetic to all patients who walk in. No etiquette whatsoever and have attitudes like they are doing the patients a favour, also when you try calling they never answer and always switch the calls to fax pick up. So fed-up with this doctor's reception ladies that I will never ever go back or recommend any person to go to this practice. My advise to Dr RE Van Heerden is to fire these ladies and get some friendly ladies in who know how to work or deal with patients, also to get a switchboard or atleast 2 separate lines in order for patients to do important enquires over the phone when needed instead of them having to go all the way to practice to get attitude reception and an answer they could have gotten telephonically.

I don't know what you guys are talking about as my experience at the Drs room has always been pleasant!! From the minute I walked in I received warm welcoming smiles. As a regular patient if the surgery I think we all know that they have a no appointment process,they work on a first come first serve basis. I highly recommend Dr Re van Heerdeen surgery. The most friendly and professional Dr...oh and the most affordable.Thank you Dr for the awesome service from you and your lovely staff! Good day, my question is about the doctors fees, that gen practitioners are suppose to charge. When you pay private it can cost you any thing from R300 to R550 is it lawful for a Dr to charge you up to R100 to have your sick note extended. I mean you are not going for a consultation. If we are paying for this than can I assume workers are paying Doctors for days they being given off from work? I think this practice is unlawful. I paid a Doctor in my area R150 to have my script renewed . I think this is exploitation of the poor.

I always get great service when I do go to the doctor. His staff is always friendly and very helpful. Dr van Heerden is very popular because he really takes his time with you. It's because of him that they picked up that I had gallstones, and my gallbladder had to mlbe removed immediately. I will always be grateful to him, and that's why I made him my main physician. I can truly recommend him. Thank you, Dr. van Heerden and the staff.

Service friendly ..doctor always makes me feel at home ,comfortable ,even a joke in between .I had so much pain for 3 days ,felt miserable and weak ..had a check up yesterday and today I'm back to my old self,more energy, no pain and I can even start with exercise ..Thank u so much …

I have been trying for the past month now to get through to the doctors office but the line is forever going through to a fax line... what kind of service is this I've never experienced this kind of services as long I've been going to Dr van heerden. It's no use they have a phone there

Send the receptionist to collect pension. An old woman with an attitude who doesn’t belong there. Total opposite of the doctors. I might come behind that screen the next time and we will see how many questions she has then.

Dr RE has been my family doctor for the last 8 years, we are satisfied with His service as well as the staff. Most of the staff know us by Surname. Great doctor with many years of experience...

I never experience such unprofessionalism ever. The reception was shouting on the phone. She must remember that we the patient is the customer. I wouldn't refer this doctor to any one.

very bad expirience with the Locum Dr that was assisting me. He was very rude, racist and claimed that he is a "profesional". The front desk ladies and the nurses were kind.

No complaints from the doctor but the receptionist is a joke and very rude to patient coming in and in the waiting area
