I became a victim of fraud several month ago. I was told to wait for a call and do not speak to that fraud anymore until they reach me. No one never tried to reach me. In three month I called again. I was told they didn't call because of they didn't get updates from me. What kind of updates they expected to get later on, apart of everything I wanted to show them, but they didn't listen, just opened file for me and told me to wait? I was referred to another department, which advised me to ask that fraud about returning my money to me. If she will not answer, here is nothing the police can do. When I was speaking to her and she answered -- police told me to wait. Now in three month later they want me to ask her about returning money again.... Of course she will not answer and will not return me my money, this is not what she wants to do. Is that not a police job to make her to return me my money? I am sorry, what police is getting their wages for? They tell me she is a fraud, so, she is not real, so they can do nothing about. So, why the police fraud department does exist then? No one never meet me to get all information, no one never even tried to help me. They just send me from one to another and the next one has no idea what is going on. Before I was assaulted in Richmond -- I got the same '' here is nothing we can do'' -- and no one never even tried to do something... just also sent me from one to another and in the end told me that if this is verbal abuse they can nothing to do with that because of by Canadian low everyone can say what ever who wants...but this was not free expression of someone/s thoughts and opinions, this was assault, mucking and laughing at me, when i tried to perform my job duties. So, everyone can assault me with no penalty for that... I have such impression that Canadian police is fraud and assaulters themselves. Welcome to Canada, safe country and proud to be a Canadian....

These police are so cruel to other innocent civilian citizens of this city. I saw a Vancouver Police Officer in uniform pepper spray a young woman who was no older than 19 years old. The large male officer then hand cuffed this girl and threw her face first into the pavement, where she hit her face and mouth on the cement. Everyone watching could see this poor girl's teeth on the ground. This cowardly male officer who was easily twice the size of this girl used obvious excessive force on this girl. ALL because this girl refused to give the officer her ID when he stopped her and searched her without probable cause or any warrant. And By the way, the girl had not committed a crime, she was just being stopped by the police because she had walked with a crowd of people leaving a club. She was the designated driver from what i recall. This woman was then charged in front of everyone for "resisting arrest" and "obstruction of justice". I can't believe that these police in Vancouver can get away with being so blatantly crooked and corrupt. We need to scrap the VPD and ask the mayor and premier John Horgan to enlist the RCMP for Vancouver.

Horrific, non emergency vpd wait is 1 hour. 911 tells u to call non emergency while theft is being taken place because its not happening "right now"..already happened a few minutes ago. They say they dont have "resources to investigate a theft" BUT there will be 4 cop cars around to give a ticket or VI for a loud exhaust? They cant be bothered to catch real crime, want you to go to stores and get evidence and give it to them on a silver platter. Not surprised they are the most hated individuals in the city. Pathetic, cowardly and useless. Cant fix real crime. And no, no business will give up video surveillance or evidence to a normal citizen just cause they want to investigate their stolen property. And vpd..well they dont have the resources to go to a store that clearly identifies a theif....what a world we live in. No honor or integrity from police. Crooked lazy police.

I went here to drop off a wallet I found, after the bank told me they won’t accept and to drop it off at the police station. I got there at 5:04, they closed at 5 I knock on the door and all the officers look at me but ignore me for about 5 minutes. Then I went to the other door and as a police officer was going in, I asked them if they could take the wallet. She said she wouldn’t take it, and told me to call the non-emergency line and that they will pick it up from me. I asked her why she couldn’t just take it, as I’m at the police station already. She didn’t give me a reason why she wouldn’t take it!!!!! What if this was an emergency and they were ignoring my while I’m at the door??? What the heck is their job anyway??? Why do they exist???

I was recently stopped for a traffic check. I made sure I was courteous and truthful, since I had 1 beer with dinner about 3 hours ago. They treated me with rudeness and disrespect, as if I was drunk. Since I’m not familiar with the new traffic laws, I asked about the new penalties. I was met with “we will charge you to the maximum extent of the criminal code. You have 2 minutes to decide if you blow, or else we will charge you with refusal.” I had no idea what was going on, very confusing and intimidating. I know they see many less than courteous citizens, but I do expect that they can differentiate and treat some people with some courtesy. I’m a regular VPD donor. I will have to reconsider this for future years.

A driver was trying to cause accidents on the road. I reported this and they didn't seem to really care. I don't think they have the public's best interest at heart. Please see the Richmond RCMP as an example of how you can improve, when I call them, they get down to the bottom of things and try to help the best they can. Use them as a mentor. The VPD can be great, and I'm hopeful that's the goal, so work together with the RCMP to learn and improve. The public relies on you, and will respect you; respect is earned, and anybody can do it, including the VPD. You do great work, and we thank you for that, but please consider improving to the point where you have the respect that the Richmond RCMP have from the public.

My mother is currently missing I live in Ontario the police told me they would call me back in 20 minutes never got a call back my mom has stage 4 breast cancer and she is on oxygen tank she cannot breath without her tank she’s been missing for hours she could be dead somewhere on the street she is very sick her tank only has 1 hour for her to breath no one has called me back told me anything if they have located her if she is okay I’m very upset I would give the Vancouver police a 0 star I’ve been on hold for over 15 minutes waiting to speak with someone there saying high call volume how orthotic and currently still waiting to hear from the officer or anyone for that matter ! Terrible police service!!

I needed to get a police report to be refunded for a missed flight due to a fire in my home (my insurance requires a police report to get the refund). After calling the appropriate number on their website for requesting this information, I was directed to call another number. Then another. Then another. And repeat 3 more times. On the last call I was directed to send an e-mail with a few pieces of information. That was over a week ago and I have yet to hear any news from the police department. Be more like the fire department. I heard back from them the very same day via email. It didn't seem like a very tough job for them to do so I imagine it should be just as easy for the police.

Every police department needs improvement, but my interaction with VPD has been positive. There have been occasions where I wanted to pull my hair out because they were so infuriating and frustrating.. especially because there was little they could do to help me. But I realize that is not because the public servants at VPD did not want to help, rather they were bound by bureaucratic hell just as much so as to be hindered beyond help. Each and every officer, whether in person or on the phone, has been professional and helpful. I do hope this city gets more officers and better funding so that we all get to have friendly police officer always visible in each of our neighbourhood.

  • 譚潭(Tam Tam)

tips for getting criminal record with vulnerable check The information counters locate exactly at the front desk so you cannot miss it. They will give you an application form and a ticket. All you need to do is fill in that form and wait for your number. you need to prepare two copies of identifications, also, the name, the address and the contact person of the employer. When I got there in the afternoon and had my number # 67, they were serving #60 at that time. It took me around 45 minutes and 70 CAD to have this done. This certificate will be mailed to you around 1 - 3 weeks and you are the one responsible to hand it in to the correspondent.

I spent the night here after I was a lil to drink to get home the over all service was meh at best and the room they gave me didn’t have any service and the bed was so hard goodie locks would just packed her bags and left further more they had this stupid rule where I wasn’t allowed to bring my phone into my room witch is absolutely disgusting the food was a poor excuse for service and the staff made no attempt at being friendly what so ever honestly I never leave bad reviews but this place was so traumatizing I just had to do something to make sure no one else would dare let them selfs being tricked into staying here like I was

As a local business, we have called 3 times to non emergency to have an officer deal with property theft. We need an officers response to show proof of a case report to the owners of the property (Uber). The case report releases the financial obligation we have to replace the tablet. I have written a full report, set aside a USB with the survellience footage, and the city cannot even provide one officer to at least show up? Despite several calls—the original being early yesterday afternoon—no one from the VPD has demonstrated any effort. Aren’t we here to serve the community? Or are we too busy hiding in bushes with radar guns?

Over the past 18 months the Vancouver Police department traffic division have been wrongfully conducting vehicle inspections. Not only are they not properly trained in the use of equipment but they are using "officers discretion" to decide that any sporty kind of car is too loud and consequently given three demerits and between $300-1000 in fines as well as having to get the car inspected. I hate feeling like I'm a criminal for having a car that is an inch lower than stock with a full legal exhaust system. Hopefully the few officers that are abusing their power are quickly relieved of that power so I can drive my car again.

  • Vadym Landar

Today received a ticket for "speeding". They wanted to give me a warning, but added that there was a 100% speeding. I said, if 100%, then give me the ticket. And the ticket was issued upon my request. 1 star for customer service. By the way, far not the first time I deal with wonders of personal qualities of local police. Time for a feedback. I hope one day local police will learn the traffic law and do everyone a favour by turning on the turn signals on their vehicles, stopping in front of stop line, driving within speed limit and not blocking the Nr 1 lane to visit Starbucks in the Rush Hour.

  • Charles Nicholas

I honestly feel so bad for the few VPD officers who are decent people, think for themselves and don't adopt that "Us against them" tough bro mentality that the majority of them have. Particularly the ones who do the downtown eastside beat, there is an ungodly level of unprofessionalism, intimidation and harrasment from a number of them. I've hitch hiked and hopped trains, slept in forests in the middle of nowhere all across North America and I honestly can say I never really felt as if I was in danger. I get pulled over by certain VPD officers and well.. i'll just say it's unerving.

  • YKK Y

They've never been helpful ever! I called non emargency line to make a police report. I explained to the reception what was happened. The police supposed to call me back right away. 3days later, a grumpy cop finally called me back with aggressive manner. He didn't believe me and listened to me at all. Shortly they closed the case and even said that there was no report. The receptionist is always rude, angry and unprofessional as well. I think they intimidate or scared victims to just give up or to forget about the incidents. It is not acceptable about their neglect and mistreatment.

  • Mimi Luna

I and my partner went there to get a police clearance for immigration purposes. I can say that those people working on the counters are one of the most rude that I have encounter. Lesson that I want to teach you. Learn to respect other people. You are not in that position to underestimate us. Patience should be your virtue to assist and deal with simple people like us. It doesn't matter what race we came from. We are all thesame. You even laugh with a mean face when we cant here you well. We also work in a place but we are not like you.....we deal with people with manners.

  • Hunter Brown

Batch #2767 brown maybe Muslim and with another white male officer. As I was in park and I have been there many times and I have seen other officers come by and never had said anything. This times this guy had a problem with me. He ran my plate number I have my driver license from bc he started to refuse to take my license for no reason given. He just went crazy to try every aspect to put in trouble. never knew cops can be racist to escpecally this guy. Man I thought I was in Canada and not in USA. Crazy people these days. Anybody gets hired these days.

  • RIGHTon

This department does whatever they want to do! I have seen so many police/law violations by these cops! It's ridiculous how they treat people. They are hideous, awful drivers. No respect to others at all. WE ARE THE PEOPLE that pay them and they treat us like trash! Illegal driving, tinted front windows, parking on handicapped spots, driving without HEADLIGHTS at midnight and so much more. Im a professional driver that I'm spending more that 2000 klms per week in the city driving and I KNOW WHAT IM SAYING. A.C.A.B. in VPD big time !!!

  • Dylan Dunford

Extremely poor attitude & policing by a few officers in the traffic division who are abusing the laws to issue N&O to any kind of sports cars. Box 1 definition "Manifestly Unsafe Vehicles" but perfectly road worthy vehicles are being issued Box 1s. This team of bullies needs to be resolved asap as its putting a very negative stain on the entire Department. FOI reports show a massive increase of sudden N&O being issued & it isn't warranted. Tax payers should be concerned with how this Department is utilizing resources.

  • John Mnemonic

FTP. These goons camp out everywhere to fill their quotas. Tickets basically their bread and butter to extort money from hard working middle and lower class. You get a hearing letter from court and it states that officers may attend via conference video or telephone call while you have to be there present in front of judge and if you dont you are deemed guilty of the traffic offence they accused you of. The system was not meant for you to win at all but rather grab your hard earned dollars.

  • KiwiAB

I needed a police check so I phoned ahead to find out what I needed to bring: 2 pieces of photo ID - fine. I check it's OK if both of those are British, yep that's fine. I get the bus there and find out I also need proof of residency eg a rental agreement, which I wasn't asked to bring. Total waste of my time, man on the phone could have just told me I needed it - that was exactly why I rang! Once I came back processing time was fast though, was there 20 mins max.

  • Samantha W

Power trip and a half . Paid $75.00 fee for my criminal check. Went to pick up before and waited in line for 20 mins. While waiting , I was on my phone- the reception then told the person behind me was told to go ahead of me because I was on my phone ? You can’t simply say hi you’re next,? I would’ve apologized if you called my name and I didn't answer . In what other job can you treat someone like cattle and get away with it ? Very disappointed.

  • Des Aw

Racist and racial profiling is not acceptable from the people I pay taxes too. These guys pulled me over parked on a street wondering why I'm in a rental car this clear racial profiling isn't the last time they'll do this. Then they proceed to get a officer of "color" to speak to me you thought I was going to be quiet about my rights being violated sir you got lawsuits and public disapproval coming this is just the start.

  • *Rae M

When i called to make a report. I was treated with respect and was told upfront it may be awhile for the constable to show up and it did however I was also given an option to wait back at my hotel. Both officers were very helpful, respectful and nothing but pleasant and apologized for how long they took but were very thorough. I was referred to other depts and received the same treatment. They all did a great job.

  • marc robillard

Thank you, thank you, thank you to detective Raymond Payette in the missing person unit. You are an amasing human being and have a magic touch with victim survivors. You have gone above and beyond your call of duty. My good friend who did of an overdose was found by you. You kept checking in on the family for a very long time. You helped so much with the greiving process. You are the Dalai Lama of detectives

  • pla-plu-tid Mills

  • Balloon Place

We were notified from the alarm company about a glass break on the business. I called Vancouver Police. Very helpful and calming. They sent police officers to check out the business, who called me and said the store was secure (false alarm). The police dispatch and officers were very professional and helpful. Thank you Vancouver Police Department for all your hard work and looking after the city.

  • Christie Myers

Needed to get something certified by a police officer, so I rang the number listed beforehand, to ask if they could do it for me at this specific department. The lady said they would be able to, so why would I assume otherwise? Walked 4km round trip for them to say they don’t - no apology or sympathy, nothing. Tell your staff to have correct information BEFORE sending people to the department.

  • Ley U.

Got my criminal record check by walking in Burnaby RCMP detachment centre and got it done within 10 mins. This location requires you to email in, book an appointment (1 week) and wait another 2 weeks for a simple criminal check. Have you tried calling in? you'll be stuck on the queue waiting forever. In 2022, you would expect theses guys to keep up with technology but such backward processes.

  • Jory

VPD gets a ton of hate and I truly believe that most of it is completely unwarranted, before I lived downtown I didn’t notice notice how strong VPDs presence really was. Every interaction I’ve had with an officer has been good, the officers acted professionally although not always friendly. As far as I’m concerned I am able to walk around at night and feel safe and that is because of VPD.

  • Ali Vancouver

Racist, unprofessional unhelpful, police officers I ever seen in my life I don't know what they teach them exactly but they are completely not doing a police work they took all the things personally they don't follow law they follow their emotions and their thoughts they don't care about the people around them they use their power to do their own thing. They never get my rights once

  • NIMA AMIRI

It's an absolute shame that VPD sends officers to beat-up on Peaceful Protestors in Ottawa who are practicing their rights under constitution of Canada while we have crimes all over Vancouver, I mean just look how much help is needed in Hastings east side! However thanks to those officers who refused to do go beat-up our brothers and sisters who speak up for their rights

  • Michael Chan

I recently had the pleasure re-meeting with my officer today. I don't have much experiance with the law but the one i had i can say isn't anywhere close to how people portray officers to be. Mine was compassionate and understanding. They're here to just make sure your safe and safe for others that's all. My family would like to thank you and the rest of the VPD for your services!

  • Hyesu emma

The worst experience in canada. I went to the police officer today for a police paper. (we were robbed two days ago.) She who was white and had a blonde pony tail, was too offensive, super rude and impolite. we are international travels and we were not familiar with the system so we needed someone's help. But her response was not nice at all! I'm received a wound in the heart.

  • Michael Robinson

I've lived in New Zealand and California and England. The VPD is what other police departments should strive to be. Proud they are our police force. The represent one of the worlds most livable cities, and make it more livable. I feel gratitude whenever I see an officer. Well, maybe not when I'm getting a traffic ticket - but even then they are polite and considerate.

  • Kat

I don't think this police service could be any more poorly run. I am referring to their automated non-life threatening phone line which flat out doesn't work. It is horrendous. Their online submission form is just as horrible. I walked to a nearby police station and got the matter handled....otherwise it never would have been handled. Disaster. Shameful.

  • Luke H

Had been attacked by two different people within a week of one another on the downtown west end. The dispatcher and officers tried everything to dismiss me and let the attackers go. These guys are a waste of money. Worst drug problem in at least Canada in their city and if I could give them 0 zero stars they would deserve a lot less. -negative 5 stars

  • stephen olson

I have had mostly good meeting with the Vpd....although I will not tolerate bullies in any colour of uniform....not will I tolerate people who are violent including poliece officers and other Emergency Workers....they need to stand against such things not be a part of it.....patience and tolerance and consideration and human respect and love overall.

  • Janet OLeary

Very nice person at the non-emergency number. A couple of times today someone smoked marijuana on the street as we were walking and I got it full blast. I get nauseous and a head-ache. It's a very upsetting experience. When I called the non-emergency number to report it, she said that I should have reported right away and they will put up a file.

  • Archie

Didn't arrest me and even gave me a ride home when I was wasted. The sheriff dept. transport trucks aren't very comfortable and the red light on the inside is offputting but other than that everything was good. The paramedics on the other hand stole my blood and ratted me out for having my id on me. Don't trust paramedics, they are vampires.

  • Mandy N

Apathetic, lazy, and without any pride in the profession they have chosen. . The police force requires a significant overhaul to teach them and remind them of their duties and their purposes......Their incompetence has boldened the criminals and offenders in this city. Shame on you and your department and whoever oversees your performance.

  • Shalini Sharma

I am trying to call VPD Non Emergency number since yesterday, there is recording that non emergency number is helping 911. The hold time is too long, each time I was on hold for more than 20 minutes and disconnected the phone because I can't remain on hold for this long. Any suggestions how can I get hold of someone and file my complaint.

  • CLynne Sauve

Beating and tasering a woman. What is wrong with you?? Not to mention your officers not even showing up to apologize for the arrest of the old man and little girl at BMO. Shameful. Disgusting. Such gross and inhuman behavior. Something needs to be done about this. It is terrible what our police force, our "protectors," get away with.

  • Arti

Very corrupted organization. Police won't do anything, they are here to lock up good honest people not the bad ones, oh no, they work together with all the bad people, the VPD is corrupted. They won't help you in any case. Why even pay taxes for them to drive the police cruisers to BC liquor Store and to blow all the stop signs.

  • Pierre Losier-Côté

The worst Police corps of the confederation and by far. Useless hams those patrollers. Non emergency line is totally useless and worthless. No wonder this city is controlled by the mob to its core. I just hope that the province or the federal wake up at some point and revoke their charter to replace them with the RCMP.

  • Rick James

Unreal adult timeouts straight jacking people for their stuff making up story's so they seem like their not a bunch of idiototic children with way way too much power every cop should have to wear a go pro camera recording at all times during their shift not even while they use the washrooms!! complete accountability

  • Shawn

The staff were very polite arresting me, everyone involved were very strong, the car was clean and smelled good, great sleep on the mat pretty empty room. The morning breakfast was a little disappointing and Check out was a little later than I anticipated. Other than the late check out I'll be back forsure

  • Elisabeth Papin

I called them because an exuberant and highly intoxicated guy pop in Skytrain an sit just on the side of an other customer and he was scrubbing the person. But they told me that those two people was knowing each other. Hope that person get home safely because those kind of guys are scary and dangerous.

  • Leila Maheiddinibonab

Very helpful staff! I went in on Saturday July 1 at 12:30 for a criminal record check and was out by 1:10. Only 2 people in front of me. The staff was very polite and helpful and everything went nice and smooth. I was planning on it taking much longer so I'm glad I got out and had the rest of my day

  • Karla Nguyen

They were awesome and really understanding. As I was assisting my mother who got pulled over, in my other vehicle sending her the car registration and insurance. They also wanted to include me in the party by giving me a ticket for sending my mom the car info while next to her, at the traffic stop.

  • Jeff Silzer

The VPD do a great job with what they have to work with. Unfortunately we only ever hear the bad job they do in the media and in social media. Yet the countless times they do the right thing and help thousands of people everyday, we never hear about. Keep up the great work and be safe out there.

  • adam Konyk

The only Police station to make an appointments for criminal record checks, Only to be told "Cant fill out the form in the station". If I'm paying $75 its the least you could do is READ the form and input it into the computer. Complete waste of a few days instead of the 30m it usually takes.

  • Mista K

Tried to report a metal theft in progress yesterday. The VPD person was just not listening and I realized my efforts to report the crime were just a waste of time . You wont get much public support until you folks realize its the public you serve .. dont like your job ? Quit then .

  • Maksu

I have had to deal with some issues with other building residents. In both times the phone staff and police officers that came out did an excellent job. They took detailed information, proactively responded, and followed up on both occasions over the span of a year. Thank you VDP.

  • Derek L

The most useless cops in the world, their go-to lines are either "we don't have enough manpower" or "that's a civil matter", no power to do anything. These guys couldn't catch a cold. All they're good for is hiding behind bushes and bus stops and handing out tickets. Pathetic.

  • Mohanned Alrawi

I would’ve put 0 stars . Police and related authorities get paid to make people safe . Unfortunately no body cares anymore non emergency found to report problems the call receiver should have more patient and care listening to citizens. Disappointed ( unfortunately)

  • Sylvia Thomas

My experience with the VPD has always been positive. Because we have excellent policing, we have a world-class city. I sleep at night knowing that they are just a phone call away. Just imagine what our city would be like if we had no law enforcement for a few days.

  • Jack Wrong

Everyone I have met in the VPD has been very professional well trained and incredibly knowledgeable. They have shown kindness and understanding and gone above and Beyond in order to take extra precautions and care for the well being of others. I am truly thankful.

  • Janis Mikulionis

Hapenned a while ago - housemate had stolen a signed for and tracked post item from me. Came here then to report it and was told that if the value is under some amount of money they dont even start investigating it. Didn't even pretend to care about it one bit.

  • LL

Reported a theft with video surveillance proof and police never followed up or cared enough. Just making the report was difficult we had to wait 40 min and no one came in to take the report so we had to insist on going there on another day, all for nothing...

  • Photis Sirounis

I have had four occasions on which to call for the assistance and advice of our Vancouver Police Department, three of which concerned my personal safety. Each and every time they responded with compassion and professionalism. For them, I am deeply grateful.

  • Luke Sykes

just spent an hour on hold for the non emergency line. still no picking up. not like they can do anything about the theft, so all i need is the police report number. tried to do it online but anything involving a residence theft needs a human interaction.

  • Nico Toscani

Great place to stay ! Rooms were comfy , service was great , good food selection , will definitely be back , make sure to request a room with a window to the alley so you can see all the wonderful people walking the area just don’t drop the soap !! …

  • Ty James

Nightmare trying to call the non emergency line. i was on hold for over 1.5 hrs only for them to pick the phone up during a personal conversation they were having and then hang up immediately. by far the worst task force in Canada

  • Tom Hanks

A Vancouver Police Traffic unit unmarked F150 saw me smoking a cigarette, and proceeded to roll down his window and ask me if I wanted to smoke something else. Whatever that means. Then he gave me a VI and towed my car.

  • Bob Tong

This is the fourth time I have been here because of a simple police report. They got my name wrong TWO TIMES. Then they told me they would charge me for more copies of the report because of their own faults. Thank you!

  • Silvie Bazz

I wish I could share my experience with VPD from my real profile (experienced identity theft). But I can’t say enough of good words about a person who helped me at the info table at VPD on may 20th 2:30PM… thank you!

  • i i

Avoid VPD or Vancouver as a whole if you don‘t want to get trapped into their shady VI cash grab tactic even if you are innocent and drive a stock & unmodified vehicle. There is simply no way to avoid or dispute it.

  • Dan Morari

Always polite and helpful. Feeling safe and protected near them. Also seem to have pretty cool gadgets and cars. Will not use the sirens for no reason in order to reduce sound pollution. Thank you for your service!

  • Peng Shen

The police force in Vancouver is not very smart, good at giving out tickets and blocking the traffic, not very good at dealing with accidents and detouring traffic to serve the people by following common sense.

  • Brenda Harris

People witness the video footage of the violence you took part in, in Ottawa. You should all be ashamed. The police are not to be respected, as you are just corporate thugs and everyone is aware of this now.

I was pulled over for no reason and when i asked about my rights the officer told me “if u ask about your rights one more time im putting your face in the concrete” terrible service... corrupt organization

The station closes at 5pm! I had to flag down a cop outside parking his car to get help and he just sighed that he wasn't working! Unbelievable. Then it's just too busy even during the day. Just call 311.

  • Francis

Website is misleading. It says I can report a crime at the station in person but when I went they turn me away to call non emergency. Their online reporting tool needs a way to attach camera footage.

  • Juan Gonzalez

Police here talk to everyone with angry faces, I don't know. They have never helped me directly but I kinda want to keep myself away from them. Police should be going around with a big smile.

I am VERY concerned and disappointed in the way that the VPD handled Chelsea Poormans case. I cannot comprehend how you could classify her death as not suspicious? DO BETTER FOR MMIG ITS 2022

The Cambie Street Police Station Officers helped an elderly man who was injured and in a wheelchair on the street back to safety. Love the unmarked grey dodge …

  • Sarah Castillo

If I was able to give no stars I would. Operators are very uninformed and are unable to provide resources. Didn't even bother asking someone else or look it up. Very lazy and no integrity

  • David Meredith

Someone broke into our car, but the VPD were there to arrest the guys who did. We got our stuff back immediately. Super professional and friendly (to the law-abiding citizens, that is)

  • Kamila Iskhakova

Got my background check done some time back. When was going to Starbucks nearby, an officer I never met just nodded and smiled at me. A lot of positive guys working for VPD :)

Abuse of Power. Officer Cain gives out VI tickets to stock sport cars. These cars he ticketed are 100% road legal and 100% safe, they are 100% wrong and abusing their power.

DEFUND THE POLICE. Especially after y'all fist bumping after taking down an unarmed person going through a mental health crisis. Shame on you and your violent institution.

  • 10 Centuries

Had an awesome experience, turns out they’re hella fast and gave a run for my money and they also bought me food☺️, 10/10 would get arrested by these chads again …

  • Kayla Pennington

Using a taser on someone unarmed and preceding to fist bump over it. Isn't HOW YOU PROTECT OR SERVE YIUR COMMUNITY:) officer #3275 needs to get her badges revoked!

  • Cody Reber

Apparently the VPD feels it's OK for businesses to steal from people and would rather them pay an additional 100 dollars to bring problems to small claims courts.

  • smason

The VPD is documented on numerous occasions misunderstanding and misusing articles of the MVA to unfairly target and punish drivers who are not breaking any laws.

They were very gentle when they handcuffed me. Police car was clean and very roomy. Overall very professional. I would get arrested by them again, for sure.

  • Cailynn Turner

Is it common practice to fist bump in celebration after tasing an unarmed suicidal man? Or is that just common practice for Sophie Thomson - Badge #3275?

  • Benjamin Isaacie

I was very happy doing my fingerprints here. They were fast and professional. The officers helping me do my fingerprints were all kind and helpful. :-)

  • GREGORY WELLMAN

Easy to find, appointment was on time, helped with exactly what I needed by two excellent staff members. No waiting.(about 9am) Excellent experience.

  • Danielle Travassos Szabo

Great service. I went to get my fingerprints done and it was very quick. The officer that helped me was very kind and patient to answer my questions.

  • Ivo Kramer

I would like to thank Maya again. I needed a criminal record check, she was extremely helpful and her friendly and polite manners was very charming

  • Derek Reyes

The team connects through a manner of urgency and empathy, questioning their approach otherwise is an ongoing challenge, for both parties that is.

Why don't they have mandatory body cams while on shift by now, to many police abusing there power and committing crimes behind the badge not ok.

  • bartika dutta

Needed a police report for a lost/stolen passport urgently. Got it in less than twenty minutes! Thank you for your invaluable service!

  • Jo-Ann Dykstra

Thank you for keeping all your officers on duty regardless of Vax status! We need to be assured that our community is safe.

  • Julien Pelletier

Food is gross, cells are dirty, and the staff was awful. Overall not satisfied at all with my last arrest

  • Will Somerset

Amazing service from VPD, true men and women serving on this force. God bless these Constables! 5 stars!

  • Jevin Rosenbloom

Everyone was very courteous, the staff at the counter were fast and helpful. Thank you.
