Recently I had the misfortune of having Village Plumbing out to inspect my HVAC system. My house is 3 years old. I have owned it for a year and just wanted to make sure it was ready for winter. As far as I knew the HVAC system was working perfectly. The technician arrived and started the inspection. $100 and 5 hours later of inspecting my 2500 sq foot town home, the technician had a list of problems. The technician stated that the condenser was pulling 16 amps. He stated that was way to high. He said if it continues, I was at risk of the condenser going out. He continued that if the condenser goes out, it would be much more expensive than if I were to replace it before it goes out. He stated that the high Amps was due to a faulty valve in the condenser, and it needed to be replaced. He also stated that the blower motor sounded like it was about to go out. He gave me a quote of $1800.00. I was shocked that my new house was already having problems. As the anxiety of the impending failure of my system set in, I was racking my brain trying to figure out how to come up with the money. He stressed several times that the repairs needed to happen right away. He told me he would locate the parts, then tell me how soon he could come back for the repairs. The next day I received a call from the technician. He stated that the valve was on back order. It would not be in for at least 2 weeks. He also stated that, and I quote “By my calculations your system will fail in the next two weeks. And if the repairs are not done before that it will be more expensive. If the condenser goes out it will blow black dust into the system.” He said that he could get a whole new condenser that would include a valve right away. The estimate then went from $1800 to $2500. I was furious at this point. I told him to order the valve and I would take my chances. He replied with “I am going to get our customer care team on the line so they can go over a whole system replacement. We should replace everything except the duct work. “That was a huge red flag. I told him I would think about it and call him back. My anxiety at this point was at an all time high. I was worried that my system was about to go out during the hottest parts of the year. I was worried about how to come up with the cash. I decided to get a second opinion from another company before any final decisions were made. The other company came out and did their inspection. One hour later and another $100, I was informed that my HVAC system was not only working perfectly fine, but was one of the better systems this technician had seen in his 15 yrs. I was told not to worry about replacing anything unless there is a problem. To make things worse, when I called to complain I was sent to a voice mail for Bryan Jackson. Apparently, he is the supervisor of my technician. After many attempts my voicemails were never returned. To sum it up avoid Village Plumbing like the plague. Since my experience several of my friends have come forward with horror stories of their own. If I could give them a negative rating, I would.

My experience with this company was HORRIBLE! I will never recommend them to anyone or ever use them myself. My appointment was rescheduled due to the needs of people who didn't have any A/c because I was only getting a tune up and I was fine with that. But when someone finally did show they called and I confirmed but he didn't show up for hours later. We was told he was going to get supplies but they sent him to another home and they didn't tell us until I called and asked where he was. When he gets there my camera shows him to be there less than 30 minutes. He did do what he should have becuase when i got there I saw how he left our exterior a/c unit dirty. So I called the next day and the lady who scheduled it apologized and got someone else to come out. On the next visit they called me a little after 8am and told me they would be there in 30 to 45 minutes. I was at home and by 11am almost 12 nobody had showed. I called the office and spoke with Hailey and she said she will try to locate him. At this point I'm livid, because they gave me the run around not once but TWICE. I told her to give me a refund and I wanted nothing from them. She seemed nonchalant about it and it which made matters worse. She told me Monday someone would call me because billing was closed and they didn't. I called them Wednesday and the lady listened to my story and told me she would give me a refund of the $99 in up to 5 days. When the refund came it was $33 short and I was shocked that she didn't tell me she was deducting anything and how bad the sevice was that they even did that to me. So I called to ask why my refund was short and explained to Doug what happened becuase he told me nobody in billing was available although it was a weekday. He told me because someone came out that's what they had to charge although the tech didn't do anything. I told him I hope these calls are recorded because they have bad customer service, they do not communicate with customers and he HUNG THE PHONE UP IN MY FACE. Before he did that I let him know I wasn't letting this go and I'm not until I speak with someone from the top because this is UNACCEPTABLE!! I only gave one star because you have to post a review but they didn't deserve any stars.

I have a HVAC/Plumbing inspection subscription with Village Plumbing and Air. I got a call to set up my furnace and plumbing inspections done. I scheduled my appointment and got confirmations the day before and the morning of. The morning of the appointment I got a text confirming my appointment and then a call with the estimated window of time my technician would arrive for my furnace inspection. Roel arrived within the estimated window provided by the dispatcher and introduced himself at the door before getting to work. He showed me pictures of the inside of my unit and explained what he saw. He gave me some options and estimates for services, not pushy at all. He took the time to explain each option and service carefully and which could be prioritized. I went ahead and requested the services and he immediately got to work. I was glad he had the parts available on his vehicle so I didn't have to make an appointment for another day. Roel finished up in a timely manner and cleaned up and showed me pictures of the completed work. I got emailed receipt of the service for my records after the appointment. I also received a call letting me know that my plumbing inspector was on the way. Joe arrived, introduced himself and got to work. He took plenty of pictures and answered all of my questions. Again, I was provided estimates but there was no pressure for services. I am very happy with the company and the technicians.

Village Plumbing has been around longer than I have. And I was born in Houston back in the middle of the last century. All my life their name has been very familiar to me on their yellow trucks. Recently I had a leak from my water heater and called Village Plumbing. The kind lady that answered the phone couldn’t have been nicer. She took my information and had a plumber at my house within two hours. In the meantime, I was given Internet tracking of his location to see his movements as he got closer. The plumber that arrived was named Vernon. He was also very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He immediately went to the attic where the water heater was located and within a few minutes found the leak. Something I had not been able to find on my own. He had a long camera probe and was able to look under the floor boards and took a video of the leak. Then he came down and showed me the video. And there was clearly water spraying out of the old galvanized pipe. And then within a few minutes he had an estimate for me which was a very fair price. I gave him the go ahead and it wasn’t long before he had it fixed and all was well again. Vernon continue to give me updates with photos and video of his work along the way. Very very professional. I am so glad I called Village Plumbing.

Recently our water heater leaked, causing significant damage to one of the bedrooms in our home. Thankfully, I reached out to Village Plumbing based on the recommendations of our neighborhood Facebook group. Within a few hours of my call Village Plumbing dispatched a technician to address the issue. From the moment the technician Jeremy Burks arrived, it was evident of his professionalism. Jeremy was not only professional but also his exceptional knowledge and expertise was a plus. To ensure that I was fully informed, I posed specific questions and Jeremy patiently and thoroughly answered each question. Jeremy recommended that we replace both water heaters and was able to support his recommendations with rationale. Jeremy gave us 3 options with pros and cons of each. Although the cost of the replacement was slightly higher than what I had found during my research, we made the decision to proceed with Village Plumbing and replace both water heaters primarily due to Jeremy’s outstanding service and unmatched expertise. I was also accidentally over charged, but Jeremy was able to get that corrected the very next day. I highly recommend Village Plumbing especially if they have more technician that provide the same level of service as Jeremy. -Sheila

(5-24-2023) I purchased my home (built in 2018) a month ago on April of this year. I wanted to ensure that my HVAC is done correctly so I went ahead and hired this company to come check it out. Everything was running smoothly before the tech came in to service my equipment, In which stopped working after he left! I called right away to see if I can get someone to come and figure out what went wrong in which they tried charging me $230! They told me they will come tomorrow morning (5-25-2023) if I didn't want to be charged! I could not stand being in the heat and was not going to let my wife of kids be in this heat either! I decided to call my brother in law (who has HVAC qualifications) and we found out that the tech did not reconnect my capacitor in my furnace! I am outraged at the outcome of this visit! And I did feel some ill intent from my tech. I will ensure to call the company in the morning, and I want my money back!

This company is just AMAZING! I have no word to explain the professionalism and the good job they did. Before I called this company, I called 2 other companies locally, one being ARS RESCUE ROOTER HOUSTON, please never call those guys, terrific, and never showed up for 2 times, then I called Turbo Home Services, and someone showed up and wanted to charge me $375 for just cleaning the Kitchen Sink main line. Finally I called Village Plumbing & Air, and simply they told me someone will show up between 2-4pm and they did. In fact, someone called me 45 mins before to let me know they were on the way and sent me a tracking link, so I can see the ETA of the technician. The Technician Jhonny Mateo arrived and he was very polite and professional. He explained everything from A to Z and even showed me the camera of my pipes. I couldn't be happier with the technician and the company. I will use them again and forever from now on!

UPDATE: Village Plumbing continues to be 5-star in many ways, but when they quoted me $500 to install a simple bathroom faucet (shown), I was flabbergasted. Tech Jeremy did a great job of identifying the faulty faucet causing trouble, but $500 to install a new one? Just no. ORIGINAL POST: I reported a slow drain that I thought was past the trap and was quoted an estimate for unclogging a drain. It turned out to be a simpler fix than expected, and the tech (De'Anthony) instantly lowered the fee to cover the work performed. Gold stars! On the downside, however, their arrival window is between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm -- 10 hours. Even on the day I was scheduled, they were unable to narrow the timeframe. As a result, I was forced to stay home most of the day, waiting to hear that the tech would arrive in 30-45 minutes. That was NOT happiness—a Black mark on that practice.

I would give Jimmie Sabala 6 stars out of 5 if I could! He came on time, put on shoe protectors before entering my house, was very kind, friendly, and professional, and not only fixed my clogged sink efficiently, but told me how to prevent future clogging. Then he saw that my water heater, which is in my laundry room, was not up to code and could potentially result in carbon monoxide poisoning. We have had a lot of repair people in our house. They may have done their jobs, but no one beside him helped us prevent future problems, and he did it more than once. He took pictures of our water heater and Village Plumbing & Air will have someone out tomorrow to make our lives safer. If Village Plumbing & Air have people like him working for them, I will definitely continue using them. I could not recommend them but especially him more.

Harley with Village Plumbing is top notch! He is very personal, professional, thorough and knowledgeable beyond just the plumbing but also steps to avoid to make everything easier in my remodel. His ability to see a potential problem, address it before it could be a problem and solve it so that it never actually becomes a problem, and then explains in details that are understandable for even my dog makes working with Harley an absolute pleasure. I will use Village Plumbing again and again because I do not have to worry about their work once it’s completed and they are so east to work with, even Mrs Sherrita in their dispatch office is a pleasure to work with as she keeps you informed and on timeline let’s you know what to expect. All around, will only use Village Plumbing.

The process started off ruff l, but Jeremy made it all better. He explain everything he was going to do and apologized for the service I had with dispatch. He stayed well into the night with his helper Noah and they brought my spirit back up considering the situation. He got us back in motion and with hot water in a days time, even left to get a part that some techs would have tried to come or wait the next day to do. He finished and tested everything and made sure my family was good to go. Thanks Scott Spears for your recent and prompt diagnosis and action to resolve my furnace problem, which unfortunately was caused by your other technicians who worked on the A/C units a couple of months prior. And thanks to Skylar Barron who ensured the A/C unit and system worked as designed in the summer following a couple of visits by your other technicians to replace an evaporator coil. The level and quality of service has been lacking in the past two years, but hopefully such care and attention you showed by your last two technicians is a sign of your commitment to quality in the future. My current 5-star review is based on just those two recent visits/experiences.

I am embarrassed that this is a woman-owned business as it gives women business owners a big black eye. I was assured that a technician would contact me prior to arrival each of the first 6 times I called on our appointment day, Friday. The 7th time, I was told no one would be available for the foreseeable future. Then I was called at 5:30 pm and told a tech could come fix my toilet within an hour. I said ok. The tech said the piece, a $10.00 piece I later got at Lowe’s, would be $234.00 and that did not include labor. I said no thanks and he said he had to collect a $79.00 service fee. I told him I’d take it up with the owner, Monica. She has not called me back.

Our new air conditioners were installed yesterday. The installers were great - extremely professional and respectful. They worked all day with just a short lunch break. They kept us informed about what they were doing and made us comfortable to ask questions. They were respectful of our home, making sure they got units up the stairs into the attic and on the roof without damaging walls or floors. They took plenty of time explaining the new thermostat, how to work everything including WiFi operations. Our family (parents and siblings) have been using Village since 1975 and will definitely continue to do so as their service is impeccable.

Service person charged me 149 bucks but wouldn’t do anything. He made an excuse that he can’t touch electrical and when he came back the next time after getting the electrical fuse replaced he rambled on about slum lords and flip houses and recommended a whole new unit. He never serviced the AC for which I paid and torn off the insulation on the pipe to the outside unit. Also, when he came out the first time he adjusted the drip pan which caused water to drip on to insulation and ultimately resulted in water falling through my ceiling and now I have to get sheet rock done. I will not use village plumbing again.

I had a bath faucet that wouldn’t shut off the flow of water late last night. I messaged through Village’s website, and I had a call before 8 am this morning working to set up a time for a plumber to come assist. The plumber arrived not long after, and he was completely finished fixing our problem before 10 am. Everyone I spoke to throughout this process for such a quick fix was helpful and friendly, including Javier who was the plumber who fixed the problem. I would absolutely recommend Village to friends, family, and anyone else in need of a plumber.

The technicians who come out to service your house are always fantastic. Professional and courteous. It’s the company that frustrates me. How can you not give an approximate time frame on the day of service, but only that “we will contact you when we are 30 minutes away.” Are you expecting all working folks to just wait on you all day with no guarantee of any time frame? At least give a time frame so we can plan and schedule ahead. For a company that is way more costly than other companies, you would expect better customer service.

Overall it went very well. The service was done professionally. The technician explained well the process and the pricing. He was also very clean, wearing over shoes and cleaning the mess left behind. The only little complain is that calling the office first, they gave a me a price, but then when the technician called, the price was very different. And some explanation we agreed and the service was scheduled. Once the technician was on site, no more surprises on the pricing. I would definitely recommend them.

Everyone on their team and the company that I’ve come into contact with have been some of the most professional people I’ve encountered. Great service! John Rowland gave us several options to choose from and made the process simple. Our techs Vincent and Ertzel were professional and took the time to get the job done right. They had to change our returns and the job wasn’t as simple as they originally thought but they worked into the night until our new unit was installed and cooling. Appreciate how quickly Village responded and installed our new ac, especially in this heat! Called Monday night and had a new unit Tuesday. Highly recommend!!

Ramos & Herman completed the repairs with exceptional skill, care & efficiency (They were also very calm & displayed great self control as I was a little miffed at not receiving "the 45 minute - we're on the way" announcement). I was getting water usage warnings from the City of Houston. Harley came to my house within 2 hours of scheduling the appointment. He went straight to work and found the water just running in the toilet and out to the sewer. He replaced the valve and tightened the fixture and other connections. He also fixed minor problems with the bathroom sink, the washing machine inlet and drain pipe to the sewer. All fixed within one hour. He was very nice and answered my questions. Will definitely use them again.

Great job today on an A/C heat pump service call by Josue. He was knowledgeable, efficient, and explained the reason (and outcomes) for the particular tests performed on my A/C. He diagnosed the issue and now my A/C is happily cooling again in our sweltering Houston summer heat. Would recommend Village (and Josue). Also a shout out to their dispatcher. They were efficient in rescheduling an appt, and their system provides a text to let you know when the tech is "arriving in the next 45 minutes."

Eddie C. did an excellent job explaining what was needed to replace the two water heaters. He also explained the difficulties and expense to install a tankless water heater like I was considering. Bottom line is two high quality water heaters were installed by a professional and we look forward to many years of service from them. You can't go wrong using Village Plumbing and Air. I also liked the way they kept me up to date regarding when Eddie was in transit to our house.

Well... I could've sworn the commercial specifically stated that they'll unclog a drain for $79.99. The technician came out and tried to upsell us on other work ($1,500.00 worth), that we'll eventually need to have done, but for now we just wanted our drain/pipe taken care of. That didn't happen. Instead of addressing the immediate need and potentially gaining a new customer, I paid $79.99 for nothing and my drain is still clogged. I won't use this company again.

As usual Village Plumbing and Air was there when I needed them! Discovered a leak in my main line after shifting of soil in the dry conditions. They were able to send someone out the next day, repairs done and everything put back in place and cleaned up, like a giant hole was never dug. I am so glad I discovered this company. As a single woman, it is great to know there is a company I can call that is reliable, will do a good job and not try to rip me off.

We just had Skylar from Village Plumbing and Air come out and check our HVAC equipment for the Fall. He came on time and was very professional and friendly. He spent a lot of time and was very thorough in checking the heating and air conditioning equipment for any possible problems. We have used Village for years to service our Lennox heat pump and air conditioning systems and have been very happy with their work and highly qualified technicians.

It seems that the business assesses the complexity of each individual job to choose the right technician. He even advised on proper maintenance throughout the year to avoid issues in the future. Called Village to see about water leak coming from air vent. They were very quick to respond getting someone to my house. Jason (technician) was very professional, polite and knowledgeable. I’m giving 1 star only because of pricing. They wanted $800.00 an hour to determine where the leak was coming from. That is way too expensive and they were not willing to come off of pricing! I know plumbers are expensive but that is ridiculous.

I called early in the day and they were able to put me on the schedule for same day service. The technician came on time and I was given 30 minute heads up along with tracking link. Michael was able to quickly identify the problem and did a thorough check to make sure that was really the issue. He fixed the faucet issue I was having and gave me tips to prevent it from happening. I believe I was overcharged. I think that any costs that will be charged (above the service call fee) should be discussed upfront and agreed to. My service man had not discussed anything with me and then proceeded to charge me $260 to replace a very inexpensive part very quickly and easily. Again, would appreciate him letting me know what the charge will upfront if such a large fee will be charged regardless of the fix.

Had 2 visits from Village Plumbing & Air (Kevin and Sheldon) to check out small-ish issues with our HVAC having just bought a new house. Both guys were very thorough and explained everything they found very clearly. Price estimates for varying degrees of work were given, and we're now in the process of finding out what our home warranty will cover! Will use these guys again, as very pleased with the service received.

I requested Village Plumbing, which installed our water heater, to check it for a possible leak. The technician, Vernon Harris, was sent out the next morning. He arrived on time and quickly determined that the water on the floor next to the water heater was a result of condensation and not a leak. He was courteous and professional. Village Plumbing did not charge for this service and I was fully satisfied with it.

Called do to a plumbing issue that happened in the upstairs bathroom Friday evening and said they would get someone out that evening. It got to be too late and they had a tech out the next morning. I would have liked to have seen more communication regarding the expected arrival time of the tech. However, when he showed up he was very professional and was able to resolve the leak in a timely manner.

Jose Narvaez came out today and replaced a thermostat for us as well as fixed an issue with something that had not been finished . He did an outstanding job explaining everything he was doing, explained out to use the new thermostat and took the time to make sure that I could do it easily before he left. He answered all questions and was very patient. I would highly recommend him .

This is our 2nd time using Village Plumbing. Smaller job this round. As before work was done, it was professional. The Plumber was courteous and knowledgeable. There was a need to return, but not because anything was done wrong. There is usually a wait time but they keep in touch with status, and we understand nature of the business. Will we continue to call Village Plumbing? Yes.

They refused to provide a quote over the phone even though I provided a detailed explanation of the repair needs. I had the part through the manufacturer and Village wanted $214 to replace the ignition wire—google it, so simple to do! It took 5minutes tops! Needless to say I declined and did it myself. They still charged $79 for the visit! For what? To provide a ridiculous quote.

I called about a large leak coming from the main water line into my house. The leak was below the shutoff valve so I couldn’t turn it off. I was so happy they were able to come within two hours of my call for an appointment. Sink clogged this morning, called Village Plumbing, Mr. De'Anthony Bennett arrived 30 minutes later, old house, no outside clean-out, removed p-trap, ran sewer auger through drain pipe, reassembled p-trap, tested drain, checked for leaks, sink problem fixed in thirty minutes. Mr. Bennett was very courteous, professional, quick, and thorough. A very good job all around.

I was upset that this was the third time in a short period of time I had to pay such big amount for AC system, but he checked the previous problems on file, explained everything and showed a lot of pictures before and after. I do not recommend Village Plumbing. Took a vacation day and their plumber was a no show; no text, no phone call, nothing. When I called the next day to provide my feedback; was advised that ‘Customer Care’ would take 48 hours to call me back. No supervisor or manager was available, offered to wait on hold and was told I would only be tying up a phone line.

The plumber was very nice and professional. Unfortunately, Village Plumbing was unable to inclog my sewer line and I was still charged $93,, for nothing. To top it off, I was then given a verbal quote of $9,100 to fix the problem and mentioned the 93 would be deducted. I have never felt more taken advantage of. Last time I will call these people.

Really great experience with Neal Case. Professional and extremely knowledgeable! Repaired 3 faucets that another plumber (abacus a/c and plumbing) wouldn’t touch and just blamed it on hard water and left. Instead, Neal came and actually tried to solve my problem. Mr Roel Flores came to service our furnaces as it is the fall and getting cool. The older unit was potentially dangerous and he fixed it. Repaired the electrical contacts for the A/C. A very thorough and complete inspection and repair. Will let them replace the older unit and its obsolete attached A/C unit.
