It’s important to note you absolutely do have to make a reservation well in advance. This was the most INCREDIBLE experience. I visited with my dad and sister and we all loved it. Tucked away behind a door only identifiable by the “VCC” letters on it, lies the Vintage Cocktail Club. The interior is lavishly decorated for the full speak easy experience, nothing has been overlooked. It’s intimate with great music that plays at a volume that makes it possible to actually talk to one another. For our first round we ordered the Sloeflower, Weathered Storm and the Dirty Wizard, all drinks were superb in taste and presentation - they truly have something for everyone. We shared the VCC platter and added fries, we devoured everything, in most places where the drinks are excellent the food is subpar or an afterthought, but not here. The beef alone is tremendous, but we also loved the brisket, wings and rice balls on the platter. Order it and thank me later. Second round of drinks we got the Tequila Mocking Bird, Wee Dram and Ceylon. Again, superb. Our server was Laura and she was kind, knowledgeable and overall really made our experience just that much better with all that she shared with us (our second round were all her recommendations). We would absolutely return and I would recommend anyone travelling to Dublin add this spot to your must go-to list. Yes, it’s a tad on the pricey side but you get what you pay for 10 times over. A special treat to complete your next trip to Dublin! Thank you VCC and Laura for a fabulous evening. (And bartender who’s name we think is Stephen - you rock!)

If you are someone who enjoys alcohols that are not as common, such as Chartreuse, this is a place to be. I think it caters to a spread of people who just want to enjoy a private meal with a significant other, but in my opinion it is even better for those who might want to try cocktails with ingredients they might already be familiar with, and want to see what this establishment has created. It's rare to find a bar, or cocktail club, that has cocktails with Chartreuse. I bring this up again because it definitely speaks to the creativity of this place. The cocktails are mixed perfectly, with no ingredients overpowering one another. Very nice ice cubes as well that melt slowly. The quality of the ice speaks to the care of this establishment also. If you are in Dublin, and you want to peruse a very nice cocktail menu, this is an exceptional place to start. When I return to Dublin, I will be stopping by. Allow me to amend my review to add more detail to address other reviews... The staff at this location are exceptional and accommodating. We did book well ahead of time, but there was a miscommunication at the door, and they wanted to seat us at the bar, rather than a table. I communicated this to the lady upstairs and they were willing to seat us according to our reservation. The staff were very polite, and very patient. The reviews claiming they were rushed make absolutely no sense. Again, if you have the opportunity to go to, it's a must. We visited in October.

My fiancé and I had the pleasure of visiting Vintage Cocktail Club on our recent trip to Dublin. The speakeasy experience was at the top of my list; however, reading the owner's thoughtful responses to people's petty Google reviews made me book this place immediately- thank you for sticking up for your staff!! Making a reservation was very easy and clear instructions on finding their location were provided via OpenTable. We were let in right at 9:30pm and were immediately stunned by the gorgeous decor and candle-lit atmosphere. Our lovely server, Laura, promptly greeted us and asked if we needed any help navigating the lengthy cocktail menu. We ordered 4 drinks total and an order of parmesan fries, which were unbelievable. Would highly recommend the Jamesons Gate and the Rosy & Jim if you're a whiskey fan. Overall, we had such a memorable experience and will definitely be back next time we are in the Dublin area!

Beware! Lower your expectations! A mediocre experience all round. Travelling to Dublin for the first time from Cheshire for the weekend. This was booked (6.30pm) for a special mum/daughter birthday celebration specifically due to the over 23 age restriction and no parties as we wanted a a relaxing enjoyable evening of good quality tapas-style food & a few cocktails rather than joining the rowdy crowds in the area. I cannot say anything positive about this experience other than the gentleman preparing the cocktails having such a flair and passion. This place has been marketed to be something it certainly isn’t! If you want a few hours in a quirky dump of a cocktail bar with cheap nasty food this will not disappoint. Also- If you have a genuine complaint expect to be told it is your fault not theirs, read and take notice of other lower rating reviews.

In short: Outstanding cocktail menu, great atmosphere and friendly staff and male reservation in advance! We found this cocktail but from the World top 50 discovery bar website and got excited when we found out it’s a speak easy. First attempt to visit this place we found out it’s hard without a reservation so we made one for the night after on OpenTable. They offer two different sets of siting for people who like to have food or cocktails only. Their menu is beautifully designed based on different century and eras. Having tried 5 different cocktails they were all amazing. Also the chicken wings were a hit and everyone were ordering them. Highly recommended if you are in the area and try to drink something other than Guinness.

LOVED IT! Reservations highly suggested. Black door with VCC. Delicious and creative drinks. Great service. Sexy yet relaxed vibes. Moderately priced cocktails. Stairs, fyi It’s a true hidden gem. Literally no sign and recommendations are kinda needed. I asked for suggestions and ordered the HOWIYA WHISKEY and the DIRTY WIZARD. The Howiya was yummy and not too heavy but the Dirty Wizard knocked my socks off. It was subtly spicy, nutty, creamy, then had a hint of citrus and ginger. It was a mouth explosion in the best way. I really enjoyed this speak easy and see why it’s so popular. 10 outta 10 recommendation this creative cocktail

The Vintage Cocktail Club is a fantastic iteration of a prohibition speakeasy. Set in the heart of Dublin, all you do is book a two hour slot and turn up and ring the bell. Your then transported back in time to a place where you can experience the glorious ages of the Cocktail. They serve a huge range of Cocktails from Classics, to tiki and some signatures of their own. It's all laid out wonderfully in the menu, accompanied with history, stories and descriptions. We had a few each alongside some sharing food. A great evening was had by us, VCC lead with table service and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, it made the whole experience, topped with some choice recommendations, we cannot fault our evening. VCC is a must visit when in Dublin, book ahead and have a wonderful night. Thanks for an awesome night VCC.

Really disappointing experience will not come back. The girl at the door were so rude and unpleasant. We were a group of family members. Old and younger. The smallest was my sister which is 21 years old. We booked in dinner for all the family yet we were kicked out brutally at the door by the doorkeeper. It’s important to mention my visitors were from abroad can came especially to have dinner with us. It was cancelled the door keeper wasn’t even explaining us just kicked us out after we waited in the line, booked a place and came from aboard. We were never treated that way, felt embarrassing. We asked to speak to manger and she said it’s impossible and complete ignored us. This place don’t care about the guests and way too expensive, lots of better and nicer vintage bars in town

Pretentious with a rude staff member. Told to be quiet before we were even seated (whilst still standing at the stairs up to the venue) when we were laughing with two couples we met in the queue. It’s not like we were being over the top or inappropriate! People attend bars to have a good time, not to treated like a school child and told to be quiet. We stayed for one hour only to honour the booking but we weren’t spending our money staying anywhere that treats people like that! I expected a lot from this place as it was recommended to me but we won’t be back or pass on a good review. The rest of the staff and drinks were lovely but there’s no need for rudeness from anyone in any profession.

Spent a couple of hours here enjoying several different cocktails. First, this place can get busy, so I'd recommend you make reservations if you don't want to chance it. The door is very unassuming, right across from the Old Storehouse Bar & Restaurant. Ring the bell for entrance. Seating is on the 2nd and 3rd floors. They have a large cocktail menu, well supported by incredible servers that can make some excellent recommendations if you want help. All the drinks we tried were very good. My wife really liked the Milk Punch. We also ordered a cheese tray to snack on. Well prepared and nice selection. I'd highly recommend stopping by if you are in Dublin!

This was a highlight of Dublin for us. Our server Larissa was full of knowledge, and the bartender/mixologist, Dermo, was flexible and suggested cocktails based on our flavor preferences. He even custom made a bespoke cocktail for one of us when an ingredient wasn’t available - a champagne and cognac version of the French 75. The atmosphere was amazing - we loved the speakeasy vibe and all the historical info in the menu. The only tricky part as tourists was that they try to text you to confirm your reservation, but we had our phones on airplane mode since we’re just relying on data and WhatsApp. We’re glad they still honored our reservation even though they didn’t hear back from us.

Wow, what a special experience !! VCC was recommended by an Irish friend in NYC, so glad we listed to her suggestion. Natalia (Brazilian) was extremely welcoming and friendly. She offered great drink & food recommendations and provided fantastic service and conversation. The professional barman (can’t recall his name, see pic) created beautiful hand crafted cocktails (don’t order beer or wine here, that would be a crime). VCC was a very memorable hospitality experience !!! Highly recommended !!

Come here pretty often and have never had any issue. The cocktails are fantastic, with a wonderful selection and description. The customer service is some of the best I have ever experienced. Staff are happy to help if you are unsure of what you want and always make amazing non alcoholic cocktails for my fiancee. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect. Cannot wait to return

Booked a table for 2 for me and my partners anniversary and got kicked upstairs to what seemed be a smoking area!! One of the hostesses with northern Ireland accent was unbelievably rude. Me and my partner were walking up the stairs with another couple and was told to be quiet all because we were laughing! We were told that it wasn't "that kind of clientele" which was a joke because we were in the middle of temple bar! Never write reviews but I hyped this place up to my gf and was left so embarrassed!

This is a hidden gem. Get atmosphere and fabulous service. The cocktails are yummy and there is plenty of choice. The only down side is the price of food. We ordered a ham and cheese board and it was 42 euro. The offerings on the plate was minimal and I could have put the same thing together for less than 10 euro. A bowl of chicken wings, which were nice but cost 16.95. Personally, I feel the food is overpriced.

There are great places in Temple Bar, most of them very touristy. But if you’re looking for a fantastic speakeasy experience, this is a can’t miss opportunity. The food is good. We got one of the platters that included crispy beef, arancini, wings, and roast beef au jus. The drinks are superior. Beautifully crafty and delicious! If you’re looking for a unique experience with a little history, this is the place.

Great experience at the vintage cocktail club. Fantastic service and the cocktails are amazing. Visited again last night an again, I must say as always, very enjoyable. Unfortunately I didn't get our servers name but she was very professional and was very attentive. We had cocktails and cheese board and everything was perfect. Very relaxing to sit back in a quiet environment away for the hussle and bussle of temple bar and enjoy a few cocktails. Great job guys. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unique prohibition-style speakeasy. Cool decor, great cocktails, and friendly staff. The food is also tasty, but think of it as refined sharing platters/finger food to accompany the amazing cocktails. Great for an intimate date night or special occasion. Booking required!

A good cocktail bar worth a stop in Dublin if you're looking for something other than Guinness. It's also a much more relaxed spot compared to most of temple bar. The menu is extensive so you could visit many times without ordering the same drink twice. My favorite drink I tried was the jameson's gate schooner. The dirty wizard was also good but a little too spicy.

I booked a cocktail making class for a friends party. Maria dealt with my booking in a speedy manner offering flexibility with numbers non alcoholic alternatives. Upon arrival the atmosphere is 10/10 , both bar staff were exceptional we laughed and learned a lot about the cocktails and each member of the party made a personalised cocktail. Will definitely return could not recommend enough.

Really loved the experience of trying to find this place & ringing the bell to enter. Inside is a cosy intimate setting for dinner & drinks. We had a lovely waitress called Ann-Marie who looked after us & recommended cocktails to suit our tastes. Reading the award winning cocktail menu was an education & a delight. Highly recommend, if you are visiting Temple Bar area this hidden gem is a must.

An amazing speakeasy with charcuterie board food that slaps. The Rosetta balls were so amazing. Brisket was smooth. The cheese board was fantastic. But the 4 meat board is just so freaking good. It was a great time for my wife and I. The cocktails are vast. Not amazing but vast. Still good.

Good customer service response via email when I tried to book for my husband's 50th. They charge a holding fee for parties of six and over and this fee is taken if guests are more than 15 minutes late. As some of my guests have small kids I knew this wouldn't work so we went somewhere else.

Fantastic place to have cocktails very private place with ambient lighting. The only thing letting them down is the fireplace, you need to put a spinning cowl on your chimney top, it can get very smoky. Part from that, the staff are very professional and polite.

So glad I booked this one! This atmospheric hidden gem throws you back to the Prohibitionist period. All tables are candle-lit, which curated decor and jazz music. It’s stepping back in time. The food was incredibly tasty and so were the cocktails.
