I went to this salon 2 years ago and had a terrible experience. The only good thing about the salon was the valet parking and the design inside. The girl that cut my hair, which I cannot remember her name for the life of me (very skinny, young, brown hair, that's all I can remember), was on her cell phone texting the entire time. She would cut a few pieces, then grab her phone and text, then cut again. She cut my hair WAY shorter than I asked her to, and I gave her very specific instructions. I also had my hair asymetrical at the time and she informed me that my longer side was on the wrong side and it should be the opposite side. I told her that I had never heard of that, and didn't know there was a RULE to this, but I was fine with it. Regardless of what I said, she cut my longer side to make it shorter than the other side. The girl was extremely unfriendly and rude. I have never and will never go back to this salon again. I now go to Mint Salon in midtown, where I've never had an issue. Not sure if I was a fluke, considering all of the other reviews are great, but oh well, I will never try them again.

Got a cut from Todd and color from Alyson. Alyson was wonderful and friendly ; she did a great job. Todd is another story. No personality, and when he would speak, it was generally somewhat negative. So there was not much talking (which is nice sometimes). But talk about bitchy! I told him I really liked the cut, but my bangs were in my eyes. He said they looked fine. I again (nicely) pointed out that I couldn't see because of my bangs, so he whipped me around in the chair and spent the next 10 minutes (!) trimming them. When he turned me back around, he had cut the bangs about 1" above my eyebrows. I was shocked! Todd, on the other hand, seemed very pleased with himself. He knows how to cut hair very well, so he obviously did this on purpose. I would return to the salon, and I would definitely see Alyson for my color. But DON'T let Todd touch you. There are way too many hairdressers there that are friendly and just as talented. No one should have to pay top dollar to be treated like that.

Extremely disappointing. I booked a balayage with Vina. There was very little transparency throughout the entire process. I was actually given a "foilayage" which I specially didn't ask for because I didn't want stripey highlights. I was also charged for other extras that I was not informed about during the service. I reached out to customer service and they were rude and unhelpful. They have one photo of my hair, which was taken in poor light, that they were basing all of their responses off of. The photo was taken from the side and only showed the outermost layer of my hair, not all of the rest of my hair which was untouched and not lightened. Since it's been slightly longer than two weeks from my service date, they're messaging was like "F you, not our problem." It's clear that this place does not care about their customers. I paid almost $400 to be treated this way. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Had my hair colored and cut with Vina and it was the best experience! Everything from the check in process to check out! The staff was very friendly and they also offer valet parking which is a plus! I came across Vina's work on Instagram and loved her work. I live 4 hours away and have not had the best luck with finding someone locally. After trying several stylists, spending lots of money, damage to my hair, and leaving unhappy I took a chance and scheduled with Vina hoping she will be worth the 4 hour drive. She did not disappoint! I love my hair and she was definitely worth the commute! It's been one day since my appointment and I have gotten so many compliments already! Go see Vina, you won't be disappointed. =)

Book your next color appointment with Vina Le! She got rid of all the brass on my dark Asian hair to a lovely clean blonde in just one session. She is detailed, patient with the process and very accommodating during the entire appointment. Thankful that I finally found someone who understands my hair. Been going to Todd for my haircut for +10 years and I must say that I have never found anyone else that can cut hair as well as him. I live on the west coast and make the trip to get a great haircut that lasts me 6 months or more. My hair always grows out graciously and lays beautifully even after months on end. I always look forward to getting my hair cut with him.

I like the concept of Vis A Vis salon having separate colorists and stylists so they can focus on crafting their specialty. The salon had a gorgeous and spacious interior with a well organized staff. So glad I found my new colorist Vina who is amazing with her balayage techniques! She was able to lighten my dark hair and transformed my faded brassy color into a beautiful blended color to complement my skin tone. She’s also professional, personable, attentive and very detailed, taking extra time and care to make sure I was happy with the color. Sawyer gave me a fantastic cut afterwards, exactly what I wanted. Great salon experience, highly recommend!

VICTOR is a VICTORY for your hair! I have naturally dark brown hair and have been dying it blonde for over 10 years. There has been a lot of damage, breakage, color correcting... you name it! It’s a constant state of “this is too brassy/orange” or “holy cow all of my hair is breaking off”. Victor literally saved my hair! I have been a loyal client of Vis a Vis for the last five years through multiple colorists who have left the salon. Today, I had a last minute work commitment and called to reschedule my color appointment. My intent was to reschedule, however after being put on hold and told that I would be paying 50% of the appointment cost for <24 hour notice, I will not be returning. Be forewarned of their terrible cancellation policy.

I went to the Vis a Vis salon yesterday for the first time and saw Vina. To say my experience with my stylist was spectacular is an understatement! I was blown away by her professionalism and the salon's luxury feel. If you decide to go to the salon, you MUST ask for Vina. She is a spectacular colorist who gave me exactly what I was looking for!! I don't trust anyone else but her to make me a beautiful blonde!

I had a great experience getting my hair cut and dyed at Vis-A-Vis. Jack Nedza was my stylist and he was the absolute best! He helped me pick a color that suits me best and styled it perfectly, all in a timely manner. I highly recommend going to see him! He is also so lovely to be around and kept me laughing the entire appointment! I will be coming back to see Jack for all my future hair appointments.

I’m gonna come back for a balayage but the blow dry was so disappointing because i pay 70$ For something that didn’t last and it was still wet I have to tell the lady that please fix it I don’t understand how someone that do hair don’t know how to do the most basic thing!
