Regret buying from this Dealership. I have bought a certified Volvo S60 from this dealership. I have traveled from Sacramento to get the car. They said all certified cars go through a 170-point inspection, but the car is full of issues. On the day of purchase, I found small issues and the dealership was able to address them right there. The service department was great and both the start are for just the service department. After a week of ownership, I opened the hood and noticed the hood cover has been chewed by rodents. I took it to my local dealership (Sacramento ) and looking like all the wires have been chewed. Now it’s costing me a lot. I should have looked under the hood, a decision I regret now. Other issues include in my so-called “certified pre-owned” 1. Missed bolts in the truck (fixed by dealerships) 2. Missing charging cable (later replaced by the dealership ) 3. Ratting noise from the rear view mirror assembly 4. Charging ports won’t open/close properly 5. Rodent eating super charger wiring and hood cover (Major) Be careful even if you buy a certified car from this Volvo. Also, dealerships don’t respond once you finish purchasing the car.

Highly recommend going here to buy your Volvo with Jacob! I was recently in the market for a small SUV and test drove a few brands — I must say my experience with Jacob is by far the most pleasant and refined of all. He was a very polite, no-pressure, transparent salesman — and you can feel it since the test drive! He was very helpful in finding a car that worked for my needs and budget. He was knowledgeable of the car and also took his time to explain the car features after I bought the car. I have been driving a different Volvo from 2020 and still discovered so many new features I haven’t learned about before. Angela, the finance manager here, was also super pleasant to work with. She was very friendly and helpful in navigating the process with positivity and reassurance. The whole experience from test driving to closing the deal at this dealership was just delightful! I already recommended Jacob to my friend who is looking to buy a car in the near future.

I was looking for Volvo XC 90, called a couple of other dealerships. Didn't get a proper response from the salesperson. Then I called Volvo of SF. Spoke with Jacob, very polite and not pushy, he gave me information about the car, they didn't have cars in stock. I waited a couple of months and talked to Jacob again. He had the car that I was looking for. He sent me a few pictures and details on the car. Everything went smoothly, gave him my information, and within half an hour, he called and said he could deliver the car the next day. He was just amazing. He made the whole process so easy, I didn't have to drive to SF, especially during the heavy rains, the next day I had my car at home in South Bay. Within half an hour, he showed me the features of the car, I signed the papers, and I had my new car in my driveway without leaving the house. Working with him was very easy, and I would recommend him to my friends and family. 5 star!

We had a wonderful -experience buying a new car this weekend. I so appreciate the no nonsense and zero hassle energy that is clearly their culture and way of doing business here. Not at all like our experience and many other dealers around the bay. No pressure or weird tactics. No passive aggressiveness or judgement. We loved Jacob our sales associate who was a straight shooter, knowledgeable, patient, and went above and beyond to meet our needs. We laughed, exchanged anecdotes, and shared photos of our kids. Angela the finance manager was warm and smooth. Again no nonsense and straight forward. They were efficient but didn’t make us feel pressed or rushed. Highly recommend working with these guys. They price their cars respectfully with the intent of avoiding awkward negotiations so make sure you are aware of that difference and prepared. A few years ago we bought our XC40 with Michael German's help and had a really excellent experience -- we knew we wanted to leave with a car that day, and he was super patient and knowledgable as we navigated the process. Fast forward to last month where we decided we were due for a hybrid. We called Michael on a Sunday morning, and by the end of the day we drove home our new XC60 Hybrid. He (and the rest of the team -- shout out to Angela, who is a delight!) are so pleasant to work with, and we were so reassured that it was the exact same group assisting us two years later! It's a really great sign that happy people like to work at the same place for awhile :). We briefly considered other companies/hybrids, but just trust these guys to do right by us (and efficiently). Looking forward to seeing the gang again in a few years for our next upgrade -- we promise to give you more notice next time! :D

My wife and I were shopping for our first car in fifteen years. On one hand, new car. On the other hand, having to deal with dealerships. We ran into our share of underhanded dealerships before we considered a Volvo. I was already a little jaded when we arrived at Volvo San Francisco, but Jacob, our salesman, put me at ease. After he started working with us, I kept looking for anything suspicious. It had already become a force of habit. Eventually I gave up: Jacob is just a good, honest guy selling cars. We also dealt with Angela in financing, and she was a pleasure to work with. Overall our experience with the dealership was excellent. No pressure, no hassles, no hidden costs, no upselling, everything was as straightforward as we would have wanted. Price tag aside, it made buying a new car the joyful experience it should be. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend friends and family to Volvo SF.

I recently bought a 2022 XC40 from Jacob at Royal Auto. I do not think there is a question about any aspect of today's line up of Volvos that Jacob can not answer. His salesmanship style feels genuine, straight-forward, and honest without pressure or competitiveness about the sale. After researching several other dealerships, it was Jacob that made me confident I could have a relationship at the Royal Auto Volvo Dealership for years to come. I wanted a comfortable car that was also a little fun to drive long distance, so there was only one Volvo model I was interested in, and Jacob introduced me to features I was not aware of when I did my research. Angela in the office helped me to understand the warranty and paperwork and I felt confident the details were explained. Jacob in sales and Angela in the office made all the difference about where I chose to spend my money.

I had the best experience at this Volvo Dealership. I had been looking at the XC90 for a couple of months, didn't realize the 2023's were out yet. I had called the San Francisco location, and (lucky me) Jacob answered the phone and I was able to schedule an appointment to view the next day. I have to tell you, this was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. From test drive, to an inventory check, to purchase - top notch service. Jacob was a pleasure to work with, and Angela was great, with lots of information about the finance side of things. Normally the meeting with the Finance Manager is my least favorite part, not this time :-). Everyone I came in contact with was super great. I walked out with a 2023 XC90 Ultimate Recharge (yeah, Jacob did his job ha!), and love it! Thanks again team at Volvo Cars San Francisco, I appreciate you!

Traded in my xc90 recharge for xc40 recharge pure. I was tired of fighting over the juice with my husband bc with the xc90 you hav to charge practically every night to really limit the gas usage. I found a xc40 with under 4k miles and at a decent price for CPO in SF. I called and I’m so glad it was Jacob that picked up the phone. He’s genuine, polite and definitely does not have that salesman douchebag vibe. I was working, he was able to communicate via text throughout the day and even stayed late for me to drive up from San Jose to drive and go through the purchasing process. I thank you for waiting and being so helpful.

It was my first weekend of the car hunt. I expected a good two to three months of searching. VW Volvo was probably our fifth or sixth stop in three days. Michael listened, didn't steer me toward anything I wouldn't want. Zeroed me in to the perfect choice. Asked respectful, non-leading questions. I did try to bargain. But he showed me comparables and the price was fair. In turn I was receiving honesty and respect. I think they expect that in return. We picked the car up the following day detailed, tank filled and the time to go over any questions. If we upgrade any other cars I will return here. I recommend you do too.

Dmitrii was amazing - cannot thank him enough! Buying a car is inevitably so much work but he made my car search experience so easy. He was very friendly and pleasant, always prompt with his responses and worked around my availability. He was transparent about cost and car availability even at other dealerships. It has been 70 days since my vehicle has been dropped off at this dealership for repairs after an accident and I still remain without transportation. It took a month to get an initial email from my advisor (Taylor) and then I never heard from him again. I even filled out a survey requesting management to contact me, but have heard nothing. This is by far the worst repair service I've ever experienced. You assume since you are paying a premium price, you'd get a premium service, but I guess not. Do yourself a favor and go to any other Volvo dealer in the bay unless you enjoy being without a car for MONTHS.

I bought a brand new XC 60 from this dealer. I had connections that would not work. I took it back 3 times to sales and twice to the service dept.(so far) once for 12 days! The service person Ray, sent me an email telling me that if I have a Legitimate concern to call… legitimate was in bold after 5 tries to repair my new car. Then owner was referred to me Andy Hanson who absolutely refused to call or contact me. If your looking for customer service in your new expensive purchase DO NOT go here.. Weeks later… no response after calling three days ago ago about ongoing problems…

Our entire experience at Volvo SF was great. Michael was very helpful without any of the pushiness you can sometimes encounter when buying a car.
