The special fried rice had HEAPS of meat in it but the rice itself was a little gluggy and fairly bland. What would have been an ok dish though, was really let down by the lack of any fresh vegetables at all!! I saw 3-4 pieces of yummy grated (fresh?) carrot, but the only other vegetables in the dish were frozen mixed vegetables (peas, corn kernels and cubes of carrot - yuk and inauthentic). I couldn't believe it when I couldn't even find any fresh onion!! This was a huge disappointment as the shop clearly has a wide range of fresh refrigerated ingredients including veges and meats on display. These are behind glass at the front counter and I saw them being used for what must have been someone else's dish as mine certainly had no fresh broccoli in it!!

Pretty ordinary cuisine here, the entrees were ok (Spring rolls and Pork Dumplings). The Singapore noodles were a cheap imitation of the real thing. A lot of places do this now to save money and undercut customers. They use different noodles and instead of using pork they put in tofu and a lot of vegetables. Real singapore noodles do not look yellow either and are served with Prawns, pork and sprinkled with sesame seeds (not tofu!). If you see anyone serving you this then they are ripping you off like.

My partner and I stopped in on the way through to the south east end of Tassie for dinner. Prices were reasonable, but we both found the flavour on our meals a bit average. The spring rolls were decent, as were the prawn dumplings. My partner got the Singapore noodles and I got the chef's special, and neither were real standout options. Reasonable food for the price, filling, but a tad bland and no trace of that "wok kissed" flavour most Chinese noodle bars are renowned for.

Such great people! I have got to know all the staff owner and kids well over my many visits. I am amazed by the price and customer service and the quality of the food. I am an ex chef now review guy and I can say the taste, and quality are second to none in Hobart, in my opinion. I have been so many times and have always been welcomed with a smile and amazing service. Highly recommend. And thank you for your great hospitality Wok Box.

Fantastic little gem in Sorell. Popped in for a quick dinner and had the vege dumplings and noodles, both were absolutely delicious. The sweet and sour chicken was given a big thumbs up from my partner too. Staff were lovely, very warm and friendly, reasonable pricing and yummy, fresh food that was served quickly.

I've never had better Chinese food in Tasmania, and the portions are generous and the prices are affordable. Every time we go, the boss will greet and chat with each of us kindly, so that we feel very warm, the relationship between businesses and customers has gradually become a very good friend. Very friendly. Excellent service. Delicious food. Satisfaction guaranteed. Steamed dimsim served with soy sauce for starters, sweet and sour chicken for main. Udon noodles is my favourite, Singapore noodles is nice too. There are various types of soup that are delicious too.

Wok Box Sorell is our go-to takeaway for those nights you just don't want to cook! It's so easy to order over the phone, they always confirm what you've ordered, cater to GF dietary requirements, great food every time, large serving sizes and never a very long wait! Just great service every time!

The sweet and sour pork was great but small in portion size. The sweet box had lots of flavour and meat, I would happily order that again. The nasi goreng was dry, gluggy and bland.

Very friendly service. Very reasonable prices. We've only had takeaway, however they have a simple, clean eatery style set up if you would like to eat there. I personally enjoy the Hot Box, great if you like a little spice. Other half likes the Combination special.

WORST PLACE!! They said our food would take 15mins, it actually took 45 mins!! The food was bland and tasteless. They had little children running around in the back kitchen and among the restaurant too. Not very safe or professional. Do not eat here!!!

Sorell doesn't have many lunch time options available. We stopped into Wok Box and got the lunch time special for $9.50. The food is pretty simple and could use some more flavour but it is heaps better than the McDonald's alternative across the road!

This is hands down the best Chinese restaurant! The service is great, the atmosphere is friendly, and they serve generous portions of incredibly tasty food, and the flavours take me back home!❤️

Some of the BEST Chinese takeaway I've EVER had! Really suits an Indian's tastebuds with some modifications. The staff is super friendly and accommodating for any changes you want to make. Highly recommend getting the Veggie Stir Fry

We are visiting from NSW and visited Sorell after landing at Hobart. Was honestly pleasantly surprised by the quality of Chinese food here! Very authentic and yummy and reasonably priced.
