This pharmacy is so unorganized and the pharmacist are very very nasty. I use Fort Caroline location for 4 years and never experienced what I have here. I moved and this one is a little closer to me so i transferred my medications. I am diabetic and have heart disease. They have no compassion or concerns for my medications. Today was the 3rd time I have had the app tell me my medication was ready or my Dr called it in and they say it's closed out or they don't have it or its out of stock. I also got the heavy breath from a PHARMACIST when the app told me to call about a prescription that was out of stock. I thought this was just a bad day for someone so I let it go. Today was completely unacceptable, the pharmacist told me my prescription was closed and been like that all year because of being out of stock. I had just filled it there last month. I literally showed her my walgreens app where my Dr sent in a new script for my insulin and it says it was ready. She basically said she don't know why it says that. When I told her she wasn't trying to help me she hung up the drive thru speak phone and walked off. My sugar levels have been high this whole week messing with them and I am not dealing with them no more. I called corporate and left a msg to be called back and I called the complaint line to file a claim. I transferred the prescription from the app to another store and it was ready to pick up same day today. BUT SHE "DIDNT SEE IT AND IT WAS CLOSED" HOW WERE THEY ABLE TO SEE IT THEN!! SMH..So sad I literally left in tears. I work for Baptist Medical Center and we would NEVER treat a patient this way.

I visited this Walgreens today (7/5/20) with a broken toe to purchase some things to make my healing process more comfortable. After gathering the items I then proceed to checkout but noticed that there were a line of about 4 people already, everyone socially distant of course. Instead of joining the already long line I opted to limp over to the photo department to checkout instead. I believe the young lady name is “Mya.” “Mya” was breaking down some kind of something and I asked if I could check out here. She told me, “sure it’ll be 10-15 minutes I’m breaking down this.” I’m like wait, what? I have maybe 4 items in my hand, there’s an obvious line upfront and not to mention I’m limping, still in a little pain not that she’d know but I was take aback like, wait so you can’t even stop maybe for 3/5 minutes to ring me out? I worked for Walgreens back in the day when Fred Zeiler ran the store (May He RIP) over on Ft. Caroline so I am pretty well versed on their policies unless the customers doesn’t come first anymore. I felt like that was so rude, distasteful and unprofessional. Maybe someone needs give “Mya” course in customer interaction because she is lacking or maybe she just didn’t want to help me. *shrugs*

Last Friday I picked up my Tramadol/Acetaminophen medicine supposedly there were 40 pills in the bottle and the next day I found out that they had not given me 40, they gave me only 30. I went to the pharmacy to make the claim they assure me that they checked twice and that the pills they gave me were 40. I am totally sure that I do not have 40 they gave me only 30 pills in that bottle. I will not claim 10 pills Because I am dying for them athough the doctor sends them to me because I need it, but I am not really needing them, I am not dying, that is, what I can tell you is that someone from the people who work in the pharmacy who were there that day kept 10 Tramadol pills, they did not deliver them to me, they kept 10 in the bottle says 40 and they only gave me 30 !!!! I AM COMPLETELY SURE somebody in the pharmacy kept 10 pills , is serious!! It is better to count them being right there in the pharmacy window so that later what happened to me today does not happen!!!!

Pharmacy issue. We had a script for 3 things sent over from the doctor. Hours later nothing so I called and had 3 getting ready. Called 20 minutes later and now only ONE SCRIPT. So I went to the store was told only 1 was filled and 2 cancelled because NONE covered under insurance.($140, 58, and 60) Okay?? Please fill them them all and here is the insurance again just take make sure. Told to come back later. Called around and found them cheaper but still wanted 1 filled because we needed it before close. Pharmacy sent ALL over and then tells me owell and if you want it here we can't fill them tonight. Left my few items and walked out to PUBLIX. Publix recieved the script and filled all within 30 minute's. Not only that it cost $30.00 for all of them with may insurance. Walgreens is screwing people around. Never again.

I waited to put in a review because i wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but EVERY time i have tried to refill my medication they have made some sort of error. whether it be accidentally skipping my label, not ordering my medicine when they said they did, or simply just shooting me down when they have it in stock it is something every time. i’d give them one star but there are some amazing pharmacy techs that make up for the mistakes of their coworkers, but it is like there is no communication within the pharmacy at all. ALSO on one specific occasion an employee was extremely rude to me and tried to make me feel bad for picking up my “pain killers” (it was literally just generic pepcid and an inhaler)?? you shouldn’t work in the medical field if you’re going to judge everyone based on their issues.

My dr called in a prescription for me at this store. Within half an hour I get a text from Walgreens saying they are out of stock on my prescription but have an order in for more. I also receive a call from Walgreens saying the same but says my prescription will be in within 2 to 3 days. Well I patiently wait for a call or text. Today, 1 week exactly I call Walgreens to see if my prescription arrived. The girl tells me no but if you want to call around to the other Walgreens and see if they have it. I said ok I have a question...are you telling me that after 1 week, 7 days, your now telling me that I need to call the other Walgreens to find my prescription? She takes a breath then says you have a nice day ma'am and then she hung up on me.

  • Savannah E

I understand that there are store hours for a reason but when I pull up to the drive thru window (behind a car that you just got done helping by the way) after working a 14 hour day and I’m just a couple mins past closing and you’re still clearly capable of handing me my already filled prescription and charging my card, but the pharmacist waves me off basically telling me to go away (the lady at the window was actually kind enough to consider it but she defaulted to the pharmacist who very quickly said NO) you just have no idea what medication it is you just denied me nor do you understand the lengths I went to try and get there by 8pm. I miss the day when people in healthcare has a sense of compassion for others! It’s very sad

Good Morning America, I was at the Walgreens (7224 Merrill Road) and I asked Jessie the cashier. Was there anyone there that could help me in the photo lab. Because I needed some help transferring some photos to a memory stick. He gets all agitated and rude because I asked him a question. Then I spoke with (David) the manager about the encounter with( Jessie) the cashier. And David the manager act like he didn't have a care in the world what I was saying and was very little help in the photo lab. I am a paying customer and I will not tolerate that kind of behavior. So needless to say I will never shop at Walgreens ever again. And I will encourage my friends to do the same.

  • Lori Lee

I am very much done with the photo group for Walgreens. I have had bad experiences the last 3 times I placed online orders. I get confirmation that they are ready to pick up and they are not. Yesterday I went in person and was told to come back after 2. I called and was told to come in. I asked if they were ready - Nope but the employee who answered promised a call back. Never happened. Called at 6 talked to a manager who also promised a call in an hour (never happened). Sent order to CVS- confirmation given and no problems. I would have been fine with Walgreens if they had communicated with me AT ANY POINT and followed through as promised.

  • Katie Fulton

Was an every day shopper here until recently when a cashier incorrectly rang up my items and then stated I only gave her $10 for my purchases when I actually gave the cashier 2 $10 bills! It took me 3 days to get in touch with store manager and the manger that was on duty the night of the transaction refused to count cashiers door when the issue happened! Horrible customer service at this location and now I am $10 poorer because of her mistake! That’s alright I believe in karma and the truth will set me free! Keep the $10 you stole from my pocket you have lost a customer for life!

12/23/2021 @ 10am via phone. This is for the associate called David. Learn that if a patient needs a prescription needs to be transferred from X pharmacy to yours the prescription needs to be extracted from your Walgreens. Not the X pharmacy to yours. Pharmacy tech knowledge 101. Stop telling people (PTs) over the phone it’s The other way around. It’s aggravating as hell having to call the X pharmacy and tell em what you just said because you don’t know what you’re doing.

  • Arden Gray

Jen in the pharmacy was the best experience I have ever had in the drive thru pharmacy! I only filled one of my two prescriptions totally exhausted and she was so sweet about it she told me to circle the building and come right back and she would rush and get it right out so the car behind me could go really quick ! Literally circled right around and she had it ready in her hands! That’s 5 star service if I have ever seen it ! Hats off to her!

  • Lincoln

Front store staff is usually rude and seems to be annoyed by every customer interaction. Went to the pharmacy to buy Sudafed and there was some homeless guy at the window next to me who randomly threatened to kill me during the entire transaction. The pharmacy intern continued to serve him like it wasn’t a big deal. Places like this make me realize how lost this neighborhood is and how the only smart thing to do is move.

Tuesday I ordered 3 same day picture canvas. It was scheduled to be ready at 6:30pm. I got there at 7:30. It wasn't ready. I was told to come back in 2hrs. I decided to go Wed. I got a call that morning, it won't be ready until the Thursday. So, I show up on Friday they're working on one. They don't have frames for the other 2. I was told to order it from another store. I wish someone would've said that TUESDAY!!!!!

  • Hillary Corrine

The prices are always wrong and if you're going to have a locked bathroom at least let it be clean I don't know the purpose of having a bathroom locked if you're not trying to at least keep track of the people coming in and out so you can know when to clean it. Had to wait 5 minutes just to use the bathroom because the guy at the cash register had to call someone to open the door.

The pharmacy in this store is by far the worst I have ever had the displeasure if dealing with in my entire life you call get out on hold they answer only to be once again placed on hold seriously considering using an independent pharmacy also no matter what there is always an issue with filling my prescriptions and the pharmacy technicians are by far the worst in the industry.

  • Sarah Wehle

I really dislike the staff and pharmacist here . They are absolutely judge mental . Anytime I call it ruines my day. They literally Scream into the phone at me for asking certain questions and don’t seem to want to do their job on their end dealing with insurance and or doctors . Absolutely unkind , evil and unprofessional. The pharmacy staff should be ashamed of themselves.

  • Juliscen C. Maldonado

The pharmacy workers at this walgreens are very rude. They do not communicate with the customer, it bothers them that you ask questions is like they do not know what they are doing and they are not professionals at all and it seems that they are racist because they treat me very badly I do not know if it is Because I am Latina or just because they are so Inprofesional.

  • Kylee Broughton

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Don’t send your prescriptions here if you need or depend on them. They can’t maintain the staff they have and they don’t train the new hires properly. Literally everyone you speak to will give you a different answer and you won’t get the prescriptions you need for two months or more.

  • jayphiver

Store manager wouldn’t sell cigarettes unless I let him scan my I .D. Phil Caruso, a spokesman for Walgreens, says the drug store chain only scans the back of customer licenses to verify the customer's age and Walgreens never collects, stores or sells that information. But it has been accused of doing so in the past.Feb 4, 2019

  • Barbara Mullins

Customer service is non existent in the pharmacy area. Their employees in the pharmacy area either needs to be trained or they need to hire people who will take initiative and actually help customers get their medications filled. I have begun to hate this store and will be changing my pharmacy to somewhere NOT a Walgreens.

  • Jackson Fuller

The worst: customer service, medications always out of stock, bad communication in the pharmacy, worst location in Jacksonville. Im literally scared that I’m going to get the wrong medications at this place than what the doctor ordered. Walgreens needs to audit this location for sure. Changing stores today.

  • Tiffany Mossuto

My cashier was so sweet. I wish I caught his name! Amazing personality seemed to enjoy his job. There was also a young woman there who helped me find an item I needed she was so sweet. Again I wish I caught her name. This Walgreens was so clean and well stocked compared to the other ones I’ve been too.

  • Renee C Petty (NAYNAY)

The pharmacy never has your medication ready. The people are nice but the way the automated service works is aweful. Not a fan of this store, the parking is terrible. Store feels cramped. I was used to the big store on univ/Arlington. They closed that one up. This one is just plain out of my way!

  • Dick Towers P.I.

Extremely slow service for the pharmacy. Scheduled a vaccination appointment at 10:30 and showed up 20 min early. Was waiting in line for 40 mins before I could even get checked in. Took at least a half hour more before I could get my shot. Don't make any plans for the day.

  • Desiree Dionisio

Had a great experience in the photo dept of Walgreens Merrill Rd store. Leigh was the person who helped me. I needed a 24x36 photo to put on display for my wedding reception, it turned out great! Leigh was professional & gave me excellent customer service! Much thx!!

  • Rebecca Nostrant

They’re pretty good most of the time. I don’t like the fact that they don’t have the little coupons booklet at the front door. To use a coupon, you have to use their app with your smart phone. Not a good idea at all. I like the Pharmacy reminders. Excellent app!

  • William Cookston

I would choose DEATH over having a life-saving prescription filled at this Walgreens. Their incompetence is unbelievable. NEVER will I darken their door, again. What a bunch of IDIOTS. They only care about presenting problems to their clients. Not solutions.

  • Rickie Rozzell

This is by far the worst pharmacy I've ever visited in my life. I've visited this pharmacy for a total of 5 times, over the course of 3 days to pick up a prescription to continuously be told that the order needs to be filled and to wait an

  • Amy Brunner

Everyday shopper and just about every employee knows me and my medical issues and always makes sure to check in on me and at least say hello.. Pharmacy staff is amazing, friendly, and very understanding.. My favorite Walgreens by far!!

  • TruBlue Crafter

Most of the time when I go into the store, it's easy to complete my purchase and be on my way. The cashier is friendly, too. The pharmacy is usually quick, always accurate, and friendly. Drive-thru pharmacy is not so fast, however,

  • Kendra Jones

Where to start, ok. The phone rings and rings and rings. No one answers the phone. The line are severely long. This location is considered a last of the last resorts. CVS would never. If you can go somewhere else do so.

  • Kristine Henderson

Made a flu shot appointment specifically because I am high risk for COVID-19. Made to wait THIRTY MINUTES so the pharmacist could do after-lunch “cleanup”. The patient should come first, not the chores. Two thumbs down.

  • Mo Rockwell

Manager was the rudest most unprofessional supervisor I’ve ever ran across- their perfume selection is disappointing- never will I go to this location if customer service is what I’m actually needing

  • Robert

Pharmacy with a little bit of everything else too. Easy to spot, seems like one on every corner. Professional staff, pharmacists are very helpful. Ample parking, drive through available.

This Walgreens at Merrill Rd, has no shopping carts, no shopping baskets for you to carry the items. You buy only what you can hold in your arms.

  • Vicky Lewis

Disrespectful staff in the pharmacy is all I can say. If you are getting a narcotic they make you feel like a junkie. I was even called one.
