The store itself is fine and the employees seem nice and helpful. However, I will never be using this pharmacy again. Every time I have ever used this particular Walgreens pharmacy something has gone wrong. Don't even try to call them.. There are times I have waited 40+ minutes on hold and have yet to actually speak to a live person in the pharmacy even once. One time I stopped by on the way home from work (because no one would answer the phone) to see if they had my medication in stock. A man assured me they had plenty so I returned quickly with my written prescription. When I returned, a different person told me they had been out of stock for a long time. When I told her I had just been told they had plenty, she basically said she wouldn't believe me because I didn't know the name of the person I had talked to before. Another time, they gave me the wrong formulation of a medication (even though it was written to a certain specification) and when I told them it was incorrect they said it would take an hour to fix and I would need to come in to speak to a pharmacist. Because I was on the way to work, this was impossible. I asked if this formulation would be different or make me sick and the pharm tech assured me it was exactly the same. After taking it once, I became extremely ill (vomiting) and when asked to exchange it the next day, they refused. These are only a few instances this pharmacy has screwed up. Not to mention, when you are there they are extremely slow and all seem very unhappy to be there and to be serving you even though I am always very polite. I advise going to cvs just one street over. They are friendly, fast, and always answer the phone.

Placed photo order online, paid online, was emailed that it was ready for curbside pickup. Waiting 15min in line with 3 cars in front of me. Pharmacy did not have the photos, nor could find them after waiting another 10min. Went inside and was told by pharmacist that he'd have someone at the photo booth waiting. Walked inside, of course no one at the photo booth. Stood there 5min and listened to the cashier call the photo assistant/assistants 3 times over the PA. After there was a line behind me waiting, three photo assistants showed up, which in the meantime I had observed them chatting next to the pharmacy area for the 5-10min I had been waiting at this point, they still couldn't find the photos. Eventually found them printed sitting next to the printer and not even in an envelope. Then proceeded to tell me I hadn't paid online which I had a receipt of. Then while showing them the confirmation email that was on my phone the "assistant" tried to touch my phone which I stopped her (COVID), I just decided to pay again and get out of there. Horrible experience, will never be back.

The first time I used this Walgreens I was sick and trying to pick up an antibiotic and cough medicine. They told me it would be a two hour wait, and I would get a text when my prescriptions were ready. After 4 hours and hearing nothing I tried calling a few times, but no one ever answered. Finally I went to the store about 5 hours after dropping off the script because I wanted to take my medicine before bed. The tech on duty scrambled to get my medicine together, finally. A few days later I needed a refill of my birth control, so I called in the day before I needed it to give them plenty of time. Well, I ended up having to go by the store over 24 hours after I called it in, and again the tech had to quickly go get it together because it had not been taken care of. I know this is a busy location, but I've never had to wait so long for prescriptions in my life! I'll be going to a different Walgreens from now on even though this one is the closest to where I live.

Made an appointment for my flu shot at 7:00. I arrived at 6:45 as they asked for, I came up to the counter and was instructed to just sit down and wait. After 20 minutes of waiting I got frustrated because it didn’t seem like anyone cared about me sitting there at all, so I came up to the counter once again and was instructed to wait 30-45 minutes because some people came for a walk in appointment while I was waiting. Such a joke and a waste of time. Do not make appointments in this Walgreens, just walk in and you’ll be served faster than having an appointment. Something that should’ve taken 2 minutes of my time took over an hour. Avoid this place. I’m giving 3 stars because I actually ended up receiving the flu shot and the pharmacist who ended up processing my paperwork apologized and was nice.

Worst service ever! My daughter was suppose to have 6 bottles of her antibiotic and Rochelle the pharmacy "manager" (with the dye hair) only gave us 4. Nobody told us it was a mistake or that they partially filled it. Once I realized they didn't provide the right ML I called and asked them if they made a mistake..the girl said they forgot to give us 2 bottles and said she didn't know why because she didn't work that day. Nobody would have even told us had I not caught it. She told us to come the next day and the Rx would be ready. We go the next day and of course it wasn't ready and they had to figure out all over again they had messed up. They tell me to come back in 10 min and they don't have it ready for 30 min, then they give me the wrong Rx!!! And then get rude with me! Ghetto, idiots.

Worst pharmacy I have ever experienced. If 0 stars was an option I'd give it that. As a whole the pharmacy is completely incompetent. I've had multiple instances where my insurance needed to pre approve a script which is a common thing for a pharmacy to do. But no, they couldn't even manage to send the forms out. Multiple doctors offices have told me that they were never sent the forms they needed. In one case it took me 2 months to straighten them out. All the while I was without medicine and the pharmacy was swearing to me that it was the doctor's fault. It's happening again with another script (this will be the 4th time total in a year). Needless to say I switched to a new pharmacy, but it still will have taken me 1-2 weeks to get my script that's to this Walgreens.

The staff are nice when you can find them. We were VERY disappointed with the photo service. My partner had ordered some prints to pickup this evening. When we arrived at the store we looked for a staff member for ten minutes before finding someone to help. Then when we told him the order name he told us it would be another FIFTEEN minutes, despite already being twenty minutes after the scheduled pickup time. Why do they even schedule a time if you just have to wait anyway? It defeats the purpose. That said, the gentleman was helpful once we'd been served and he even went the extra mile by giving us a discount. It was still a frustrating experience though.

Worst pharmacy experience I've ever had. Took my prescriptions to get filled, they said it would take no more than 1 hour. I went home and after waiting 2 hours I decided to call the pharmacy to hear as to why it was taking so long. I got connected to an automated machine which was not helpful, I followed all the directions on the automated message and I come to find out there are no records of walgreens holding my prescription. At this point I drove to walgreens and it turns out they did not have any of my prescriptions in stock, which makes no sense because previously they said they were available and would be ready in 1 hour.

I would give more stars but the location. . I think they need a security officer in that area to keep it clear from drunk people and homeless. I never deal with the pharmacy or bought any medication. But been there to get couple things for quick. They have a cream for nerve pain no other pharmacy has it so I found it there. Anna the cashier was very nice and helpful she helped me to buy that expensive cream by reducing the price she did outstanding job by registering me for the discount card, overall she's very polite and she knows exactly how to treat a costumer. Hope all other people work there behave like her.

For 7 years I've put up with this Walgreens because I live across the street, today I had to transfer my prescriptions to HEB. Since Sept 26 0f this year, they've lost my RX 3 times. THREE TIMES. As the tech searched for my missing prescriptions, she moved with the urgency of a sloth after a holiday dinner. They are rude and disrespectful and don't say thank you or I'm sorry or come again..... Unfortunately, it is a revolving door of employees who get paid too little and could care less about customer service. The company itself cares even less than the employees do. See ya Walgreens.

It’s a Walgreens just like any other. I’ve never had a prescription filled there, so I can’t really speak to the pharmacy’s efficacy. But, it is a good spot for some late night snack runs and last minute items. When I lived nearby, I regularly went there to grab toilet paper/milk/ice cream/whatever small item I needed. That was always an easy experience and the merchandise isn’t too steeply overpriced like it would be at a gas station. Overall, I can say it’s good as a little convenience store for sure, but nothing super special.

  • Grace Farris

If I could give a ZERO, I would!! What a bunch of idiots. First, I was on hold for over 25min. Then, after getting to the pharmacy, after an hour later (Rosie said it would be ready in an hour) neither medicine is correct. And as well, they are trying to tell me that I do not have anymore refills on one of them...as I stand there holding the bottle that says there are two. Completely incompetent! If I wasn't in a hotel close to this Walgreens AND after 9pm, I would NOT be at this location!! Do NOT come here, unless you must!!

  • Jessica Wu

Michael is the worst staff pharmacist at this location. I arrived for my schedule booster shot. He refused to give it to me after asking for my specific condition stating “it’s not severe enough like HIV or cancer” even though he is not a medical doctor. When I explained that I received my vaccines through the same Walgreens with the same conditions, he asked to see my card. After he looked to confirm, he said my doctor can “break the rules” and through the card back at me instead of just handing it to me.

  • Olfha Salinas

Came to get a prescription filled and was told it would be ready in an hour. Didn't not take into account that the store would be close for lunch break. Decided to wait another 30 minutes in the drive through only to be notified that my prescription was not able to be processed until a later date. I live 50 minutes away and it would have been nice to know before I wasted 2 hrs of my day waiting on a prescription that was not going to be filled which the pharmacy could have made me aware of beforehand.

  • Anysa Santini

Went to Walgreens because I needed to get a passport photo done. When I arrived, they had a sign up on the photo desk saying that they were only doing photo pickups. I was really disappointed and stressed because I already tried 2 other places and was heading of town the next day. However, Jose in the photo department made an exception and was able to help me get it done. I really appreciated Jose’s assistance! He was kind about it and made sure I got them done correctly. Thank you Jose! :)

This is the worst pharmacy ever. We literally just got out of line. The employees here are extremely rude, racist, and very inattentive. They should really close this place down. The pharmacy technicians really are not qualified to do their jobs. This place is unorganized, we never get the right medication. The technician serve every person in line but us while we were the only people in line. I would never go back to this place ever again!!!

  • Anuradha Pandey

I didn't think the other reviews would be this accurate but I will never go to this Walgreens again. The first time I went they hadn't filled my prescription despite my getting a text that it was ready. The second time I went back they failed to fill the one I desperately needed and I had to wait a full half hour because there was no way I was going back a third time. A terrible, terrible experience. Stay with your old pharmacy.

  • Jorge Orpinel Pérez

0 star review. Couldn’t even go in XD The guard (or may e some dándome dude, didn’t really wear a uniform or anything) told me I had to leave my backpack up front. Just there, not in a locker, just leave it on top of some counter near the entrance XD wait you’re worried about thieves but you want customers to leave their valuables unattended ver the entrance? I mean really XD new low in customer service.

  • Sarah Cebrian

Pharmacy has been incredibly helpful while my mailed meds are taking longer to arrive than expected. I REALLY appreciate the extra effort and communication, especially since it was my decision to sign up for mailed meds. I should have considered the possible hiccups when anything is mailed, but the Walgreens' team didn't chastise me and instead offered to contact my insurance to work on a solution.

  • Jennifer B.

Literally the fastest pharmacy to ever fill my prescriptions! Last time it was ready within an hour of mine calling my doctor’s office to refill. Also, I went to get a covid test yesterday and there were none behind the counter so the clerk suggested I try checking the pharmacy, and I was able to buy one of the last three. I wish I wasn’t just here for the summer because this Walgreens is amazing

  • Brandy Hoang Collier

I had one frustrating experience trying to get my prescription filled the first time, but the insurance was the problem, not the employees. Since then it’s been a normal experience. However, tonight one of the pharmacists took the time to really help me out. She helped me figure out how to get my medication at a better price and how to make the best of my (expiring) FSA. Thanks so much!

  • Andrea Gomez

The store hours are 7am until midnight It's ridiculous to have it posted that it's open 24 hours when it isn't. I wasted time and gas driving here. Update the store hours and stop wasting people's time. This is extremely unprofessional and quite irresponsible to conduct a business this way. Misleading people only drives them away. It's not difficult to update the hours online. Do so.

  • Mariza Castillo

Came in tonight to fill a prescription for my 6 year old. I told the gentleman I wanted to wait and he told me it would be 40 to 45 minutes for 1 prescription. So I waited and when I went to pick it up it wasn't ready. the pharmacist stood in 1 spot the whole time and the tech. ran around from the drive-thru to the filling station to the register. Never again will I come here.

  • LaChanda Dupard

Visited this location Feb 7th early in the morning to get medicine and tea for bronchitis. The two cashiers working that morning (can’t remember their names ‍♀️, young male & female) Anyway, they were so sensitive to my need and even helped me find exactly what I needed to feel better. Hard to find good help these days and these too young people made my day brighter!

  • Paul Adams

This place is supposed to be a FedEx drop off center but the employees either don’t have a clue how to print a label or just don’t want to and pretend the printer is broken. Also not the first time this has happened to I’m inclined to believe they just don’t want to deal with the hassle. In any case, this place is at best incompetent or at worst, lazy and unhelpful.

  • Caitlin Kliesmet

Worst Walgreens I have ever been to. The pharmacy is always, and I mean, always understaffed. They obviously try very hard, but it's impossible to do a good job when there's so much constant pressure. The location is convenient but not particularly safe. Employees are generally respectful and cordial, but everyone seems kind of pissed to be there.

  • Justin Macmahan

I don’t know why the reviews are so bad for this. It’s a convenient store just walk in, get what you need and leave. I’m leaving this good review because as far as I’m concerned everyone is doing their job correctly here so they don’t deserve such a low rating. The pharmacy line takes forever everywhere it’s just how it works

  • Daine Stevens

Don’t believe the listing that they’re open 24 hours. The pharmacy closes at 10, or sometimes just whenever they want it to. There’s no way to know. They just put out a piece of paper that basically reads: screw you, hope your medication wasn’t important. We’ll be here when it’s convenient for us.

  • Juan Villarreal

Horrible customer service!!!! Female at register welcoming everyone with we close in 15 minutes you need to have your stuff to the register so we can shut down our system. Cause you know that's the kind of customer service we want. I walked right back out and went to CVS. Much better service!!!

  • Bob Pomeroy

The pharmacy workers here are slow, inept, and stupid, and they don't mind completely wasting your time. I had a confirmation of my flu/covid test appointment in hand and the person working there still couldn't find me in the system and refused to perform test. Total waste of time. Never again.

  • Mia Ochoa

I hate this Walgreens. They closed 15 minutes earlier than when they’re supposed to. I really needed bandages for my injuries and they did NOT care at all. I came in at 11:45pm and they didn’t let me in. I also witnessed another customer get denied service 2 minutes after me.

  • Rachel Boggs

Each time I have visited this pharmacy, I have waited hours for my prescription even when I state I want to IMMEDIATELY pick it up. The staff is incredible slow and they do not fill prescriptions when you drop them off for immediate pick up. Save your time and go elsewhere.

  • Mari Jo Rios

You really need to update the hours your store is open cause it still says 25/7. I wouodnt be so mad if I didn't drive all the way from riverside. It's not hard to do. All he other stores have their correct hours so I don't see how it's rocket science to do the same?

  • Diane Streiff

The pharmacy is fast (despite having very few staff members), courteous and I never had any issues with my prescriptions being filled. The Pharmacist is always available if you have any questions, and has always been nice and professional. Would recommend.

  • John Vallejo

Managers are just as bad as the staff . Allison shouldn’t be a manager at all, very unprofessional. Had a matter and she didn’t know how to professionally help out, just plain rude!

  • Kathy Overstreet

EVERYONE CALL: 1-800- Walgreens to complain. Ask for customer service. It helps to get names. Ask them to escalate the issues. Best wishes …

  • Angela Inman

The staff at the Pharmacy was so helpful and worked with us when our child was sick. We would highly recommend using this location.

  • Jairo Betancourt

This has undoubtedly gotta be the worst pharmacy in Austin. Spoke to a pharmacy member that couldn’t be any more rude if he tried.

  • Shawn Byrwa

Probably the worst pharmacy of all time. Update 11/17/23: still the worst pharmacy off all time.

  • erik bob

After issues with order, Manager Alyson helped a bunch. Thanks.
