The CEO of Walgreens made $28 million last year. If their salary was reduced to $400,000, they would still be quite rich and maybe they could invest $27.6m in their stores so they are less filthy, chronically understaffed, and generally unpleasant. I only came here because they offered a covid booster and flu shot sooner than anywhere else in the city. Schedule an 11:30 appointment, arrived 10 minutes early. Waited in line at the pharmacy for over 20 minutes. Only one of 3 windows was staffed. When finally helped, employee spent--no joke--40 minutes getting me checked in. During that time another window had to open to serve other customers, and I witnessed as each came up, attempted to get some medication refilled after waiting in that long line, and each was told in turn that some clerical or communication error meant they could not receive their medication today. It is now 45 minutes after I arrived here and I have not been seen for my appointment. In fact, a pharmacist just came over and told me I'd need to fill out 2 sets of forms EVEN THOUGH I had arrived with this same form fully filled-out as their email had suggested so I could "save time" at my appointment. Also: I am transgender and had my updated name and gender legally recognized 7 years ago. In all that time, every attempt to get Walgreens to recognize these legal changes, whether talking to pharmacists in person or contacting Walgreens thru their website has utterly failed. The pharmacist who checked me in was flummoxed by the name and gender mismatch and proceeded to use my old name and make pronouns, despite my entirely feminine appearance, and despite this site being a brick's throw from the Transgender District of San Francisco. On top of all this, the store is just... dirty. Will attach photo. All of this is directly on the head of the Walgreens CEO. Their product is an utter failure, yet they pull in a salary that makes them richer than God. Only in America. Healthcare and capitalism should NOT cross paths or this is the result.

This is not my regular walgreens store, but it's a lot bigger. So when i cant find something at my walgreens i go here. About once a month.i went in there today for a mini food chopper, they had it but the seal was broken so i passed on it(on to target). As i was leaving i thought I'd check out the makeup. When i went down the aisle, i saw security hassrling a girl for no reason, and when he finished with her. He set his sights on me. He aggressively asked me if i need help (not with a helping tone/vibe), i said "no thank you" and kept walking. He immediately stopped me again and said that i had had a incident with him before, when i told him i barely come into the store and that his was mistaking me for someone else. He then asked what I had put in my bags. I showed him my bags and told him that I did not steal. At that point he had grabbed a pen out of my bags and told me I had stolen it from the store. I showed him the receipt from Office Depot showing that I had purchased everything in the bag. He still didn't believe me and had started telling me that I had been banned from the store. Then he scanned my item at the register with a lady and it showed that the item was not sold at this store. After he'd been proved wrong he did not apologize, instead he kicked me out. And said I'm not allowed to come in anymore. I felt very threatened and started to get a panic attack, I'm still shaky writing this. I would like to see the security tape showing me stealing like he accused me of.

This Walgreens (1301 Market Street) is the WORST store I have EVER experienced and on MORE THAN ONE OCCASION!!! The customer service is non-existent (INCLUDING the MANAGER!) and the inventory is seriously lacking. When my digital coupon didn't upload for some reason, he argued with me for over 30 minutes and finally, after I corrected his misuse of the app on his own phone, he declared he wasn't going to help me because I was "being stubborn" and stated I would have to contact the corporate office to get my ONE DOLLAR coupon value. The last time I was there, this little punk kid, security guard-wannabe followed me around the entire time I shopped, standing so closely that it made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable (this was pre-Covid). He had observed me speaking to a homeless person across the street before I entered the store, so he assumed that I was most certainly 1) homeless and 2) a thief (neither of which was true). I will NEVER spend my money here, nor will I allow any of my friends or family waste their money & time on this den of demon spawn!

Well, well well. I am not the only one who witnesses the type of security here. Unfortunately, I saw a young security guy without any respect taking a disable or cripple man as he referred him, yelling his condition with F words, and retrieving the items that he stole from his walker. I am not an advocate for stealing, but the security man could retrieve the items by not taking the items with force from the walker bag and throwing them on the floor. I was going to approach them and pay for the items, but the heat on the security guy and his supervisor, and another man, telling the same thing for the respect to an old man, it was on that I decided to wait and reminded them that it was not the way. But of course, the guy kept yelling and talking to his supervisor saying that he had a license and it was his job. Yes, it is his job but respect for human beings is a must. Are we trying to fix things or going down the road? And I bet that behavior he showed is the mirror everywhere of his daily life. Very disappointed!

I love checking out different Walgreens stores, because the all get some items that are different than what another store might have... Like the 825 market Walgreens had my favorite Christmas candy this year, where I found it at another Walgreens last year, etc... It seems like they have my favorite candies at different stores every time a holiday comes up.. it's fun going out and finding them . When I go to pick up my meds from the pharmacy, here, they do their best to get them and get you on your way!! Everytime I'm there their staff are always nice and try to be as helpful as possible, and the cashiers are continually busy, but yet try to be quick and efficient-- so you can get your things and not have to wait forever in line, and get'cha going on with your day... And NO, I'm not a paid advert, I just appreciate Walgreens!!!

This Walgreens has good stock, including a number of unusual (for Walgreens) items, like Asian & Latin American foods & beverages. Have always liked this Walgreens. AND, today I was wandering aimlessly through the store, looking for gift inspiration. Found some cute socks, didn't buy 'em because the line was excessively long. Put the socks back, & as I was leaving a young employee accosted me saying "did you put them back? The socks?" Needless to say, I am extremely offended. Yes, I wandered aimlessly, lacked focus... which was true of at least 25% of the shoppers in the store. (& I'd bet 33-50% of all holiday shoppers.) The only reason I can perceive to single me out from all the other aimless & unfocused shoppers is my appearance; I have facial piercings & a unique style. And this is San Francisco, a bohemian neighborhood, even.

I am here at Walgreens at 10th and Market . I received abusing treatment by the Lawrence from the pharmacy asking to pay for it or for Insurance. When I tried to explain him that the city clinic told me to come get that it was free for me . He kept shouting that this information that it was not given to me and he didn't allow me to explain I asked for a manager and he was not help at all. So I am going home with a severe anxiety and no medication. I told Manager that thus guy Lawrence is not fit to be in a customer service position and he didn't care. I have 12 years executive working in call centers and It's my first time that I have experience a low level custoservi experience

The security is horrendous! They bully everyone. They stole a Pur water filtration system from me that I had bought previously. The guard said I stole it from the store. It cost me over $36. Just because they carry the same item they assumed that I took it from there. They said they would only return it if I showed them my reciept for the item. Since I didn't have it on me they kept it. I demanded they review the security tapes to prove that I didn't steal it. But they wouldn't. They manhandled me & forced me out of the store. I tried calling the manager but he said I had to come back in the morning. I think I have to take them to court.

My second favorite Walgreens. This Walgreens has everything that the other larger- sized stores on Market Street have. (There are two more Walgreens on Market Street within a block or two from each other.) I've found heating pads here, and hair brushes, styling gel and more. This store can get packed, but that's all the Walgreens that I've been in, in the city. Tip: for less waiting, I go to the store on Powell and go to the upstairs' registers (usually someone is there). Sometimes the downstairs line goes really fast because there are multiple registers open. I've never seen less than three people working them.

  • Mitch Mitchell

I went in to photo department and there was no one there. I pressed the button that would announce someone needed help in photo and waited. And waited. And waited. And pressed the button again and waited a whole lot more. All the time I was twiddling my thumbs I saw employees going in and out of the back room; each one studiously avoiding my gaze. I got tired of the game after 10 minutes and gave up.This store has the rudest staff and shadiest clientele of any Walgreens in the city. I'll be avoiding it at all costs in the future.

  • Elda Sung

Worst and slowest pharmacy ever. Took so long to ring 1 person up (35 mins per person) and when it came to your turn, didn’t even have the medication ready (even though it said it was through your phone notification). Dude should get 5 assistants or something just to manage the cashier for the pharmacy. He took 10 minutes just to search up my first, last name and date of birth ‍♀️

This Walgreen's is one that I've to be very careful when entering and exiting. Sketchy characters will hit you up for change or ask you to buy a cd. I just grab a few items and wait in line being cautious of my surroundings. I've seen undercover security rotating their shifts and shoplifters get nailed most of the time. Lines are fast moving, but be careful when you leave.

  • Lucas Bonatto Miguel

I called to refill a prescription their automatic system said it would be ready in a couple of hours, I called the next day they said they didn’t have the medication and the pharmacist Ericka laugh on the phone saying they can’t do anything and they don’t know if they will ever receive the medication. This pharmacy thinks people’s health is a joke

  • Ryan Kompa

Customer service at this location is absolutely horrendous. Its as if they lie to you just too avoid having to speak to you or do anything to help you at all? Absolutely the WORST service which oddly enough took over the worst spot from ACUTE WALGREENS at 24th & Potrero. Horrible enough to make me not set foot in another Walgreens.

  • Pobed Lavrentjev

Well organized, streamed checkout. Good, well stocked products, inexpensive, especially Walgreens own brand " Nice ". Visitor or tourist needs to come to the store to pickup anything for his immediate and lasting needs, be it a food, in wide variety of snacks and drinks, items of hygiene, cosmetics. Pharmacy is on premises.

  • Maria Ocampo

Allen or allan gave me the worst customer sevice. Very sarcastic and lacking basic manners. I hope he can just find another job that makes him less miserable. I know they deal with lots of crazies out there but that’s not a reason to treat everyone with disrespect especially if that customer was being friendly and nice.

  • Jacob Morgan

Had an appointment to get a COVID booster shot here today, they called to cancel it a few hours before because "our system is down" and "the stuff going on outside the store" (protests over a security guard here fatally shooting someone). Walked down the street to CVS and got the booster shot in 5 minutes.

  • Taylor Hoyt

Go to literally any of the other Walgreens near by. Trust me. Sold me kids size masks for $30 when I am a 6ft tall, 30 yo man….And the two pack Covid test I bought for $25 only contained one test. They’re clearly ripping off regular shoppers to make up the difference for the constant shoplifting.

  • Gina Sanchez

In less than 2 minutes of entering the store, I was accused of stealing by one of the security guards, a young black male wearing all green. Was on my way to deposit money then he tried to fight me and got all in my face. Might have to sue, especially since his silly self thinks someone is poor.

  • Timothy Phillips

The store is convenitly located inside Westfield Center. I frequent the store often as I work on Market street which is the street of the Center. Customer service is very efficient and courteous. The store is clean and organized. Overall, this is a nice Walgreens compared to others in the area.

  • Sad sadd

I was in this Walgreens at 11.12 pm I gave one star because the security was rude. I just ask him. To move a little for I can get my stuff but he didn’t do it. If there is problem between the security and the management. Please, can you solve your problems? Don’t be rude with costumers.

  • Z or M. L or R.

People I have literally seen stealing from this one. Happens lot but there is so many walgreens. There is within one mile like about as much as Walgreens as Starbucks. So you know what I'm talking about Good store though. clean and selection Okay. There's security which is informative.

  • Andrea Lopez

The worst experience I’ve had, the pharmacy staff is the worst, they treat their clients bad and they do not listen. I tried to explain them Why I was there (covid vaccine) and they laughed at me specially one Asian women that was in charge, they’re not profesional.

  • Dalena Tran

Went to store at 3:45pm bought a couple of item and milk. Got home realize no milk was packed in bags. Call store, not willing to help The milk is not the issue as it will cost me more to make my way back. The point here is customer services. Zero existence

  • Miguel Mendoza

I needed to get my covid booster vaccine the same day. Thankfully, this was the only place in SF that I was able to find same day appointments at the times I could. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and told where the vaccine check in

  • Tameka “Tiki” Batts

It was a headache I am disabled so I don't move very fast but I felt like I was being rushed and besides that I was being watched my every move they did not even try to hide it they just stood there looking at me shop!!!!! …

  • Barbara Merschren

this location is having a hard time coping with shoplifting. Theft is a problem at most city pharmacy/general merchandise outlets. However in this store it is most ubiquitous and rampant What is taken tends to be food, toothpaste,..The

  • Brent Loid

Always busy, slow to check out. May people just there to steal. Security is a joke. Onsite police officer is a joke. In all it is a Walgreens. Has most anything you'll need. Staff is slow, but relatively nice(given the circumstances)

  • ClaudioCivella

Security is makeshift police here, they will assume you’re stealing. If you take it up with them, they will get in your face and brandish their guns. Straight clown behavior, knowing damn well he only get paid 19 n hour …

  • Gilberto Moscot

I talked to management if they could close the door to keep some type of warmth in the store. Stated that Corporate won't allow them to close the doors. Even during the winter time. Sad Corporate don't care about people. …

  • Greg Payne

Always crowded and employees don't really want to help you if you are trying to find something. Plus more than 90% of the employees don't speak English very well and I really don't think they understand English very well also.

  • D. Glenn Howard

This is one of the nicer and cleaner Walgreens. They have on-site pharmacy which is so convenient. All the employees are kind and friendly and always willing to help you or answer any question that you may have.

  • Benjamin Hunter

Pleasant and central place to buy water/snacks, especially hand if you are attending a conference at the Moscone center as you'll pass this shop on your way to a lot of the hotels in the are.

  • Joe Moone

The ridiculous level of security at a Walgreens is impressive. Two guards at the door, everything under lockup - wow. We left right away. As a tourist, this is jaw dropping level of security.

  • Myra D

Okay, I tried to ask them if they have a Sani Stick which keeps drain pipes clean and clear all year and all I got was the run around. The staff got very clueless to what I was asking for.

  • Andrew Ness

So slow. They are overwhelmed now that the other store closed. Don't make the mistake of trying to shop here. Huge lines and only two cash registers open. Garbage everywhere. Gross.

  • Galeno Garbe

Be careful when buying fruits and other 'fresh' items from this store. A pack of spoiled fruits make me stay at the hotel during all day in a beautiful sunny Sunday in SF.

  • Lindsey Ross

I would avoid this place. Everything is locked up. I went to buy shampoo and conditioner after a flight, had to wait 10+ minutes for someone to unlock it the case to it.

  • E C

Hi Managers! Please train your cashier's on the Art of Patience!! They don't need to rush one as they are handling their business on the credit card machine. Nor do they

Just got my first vaccine dose of Pfizer! Everyone in the pharmacy and at check out and on the floor were helpful, professional, conscientious, efficient, and kind.

  • Esther Brown

The facility is open til Midnight but remember that the pharmacy is not. Pharmacy hours are 9am-7pm most days. Staff is not very friendly. Store could be cleaner.

  • Flávia Kei Matsudo

It’s really crowded, dirty and messy. People are not so kind and helpful here either. in terms of options and products it’s not the best around the city either

  • Cyrus Buenaventura

I go to the pharmacy here for my medication and where I check out. The line is always long up front. Also, the biggest Walgreens store around the area.

  • Gaurav Aggarwal

Bunch of slackers as employees. Door and register closed at 8:45 when closing time is 9pm even during covid times. Not even allowed to pick Ibuprofen.

  • Nic

I mean... It's a Walgreens.... In San Francisco.... If you retain the capacity for disappointment still, with said situation, well... you just suck.

  • john “Optionworld 2000” smith

Good for daily and normal items to family, kitchen and fixing. Best for quick snack, food and need. Such as drink, candy, cookies, etc.

  • Bill Fong

Good location for a Walgreens to pick-up some items when heading into the city or on the way toward heading home on the BART system!

  • Savitri Harris -aka Kimberly

It's pretty much your standard walgreens. It is clean fully stocked with just about everything that you need from a chain pharmacy.

  • Max Maximov

Impossible to buy anything in these closed shelves. Waited for 5 mins and then gave up. It is way easier to use amazon instead

  • Angela Beck

Long line. Always have security guard that makes you feel like this place is not secured without one. Always homeless outside.

  • Teresa Ayala

Most things are locked up. There is no tabaco or alcohol at this location....which is what I was looking for :(

  • Funny

If you think security guards high off of weed and coke is normal and safe then this is the place to go.

  • D W

AVOID at all cost. Security guard killed a woman in this store's location. very scary to witness.

  • usoci

The skinny lightskin security guard is off some sort of drug and threatening customers.
