Terrible Terrible! Might cost you your life! Incompetent pharmacy! Anti biotic prescription medicine was sent in by my doctor at 8pm. Tried to call pharmacy to see if/when it would be ready. Call automatically put on hold for 20 minutes then disconnected, Called again. Picked up and hung up. Tried again. Same thing. Drove 20 miles to this 24 hour pharmacy very sick. Pulled up to Drive Thru at midnight no answer for 10 minutes, then told to wait. Waited another 10 minutes. Asked my name and birthdate and immediately said she did not have a prescription for me. I asked if she checked, she claimed she checked her voicemail and e-script but how is that possible without knowing my info until that moment? Told me to go away. I had no other recourse to get my lifesaving medication. The next morning I called this pharmacy and was told they had the prescription since the day before. Told me it would be 30 minutes. I told them not to fill it, send it to the Walgreens close to my house, now that is during daytime business hours. She refused. Said she would fill it and if I got it at another Walgreens I would be forced to pay out of pocket because it would be considered a refill too soon. Called the Walgreens near my house and they pulled the prescription away form them to be filled. Finally got my urgent prescriptions. My treatment was delayed so I became more sick due to this store's incompetency and virtually no concern for the patient/customer. BE WARNED!

Last Saturday night, a couple friends needed syringes (for personal reasons), so I went to this Walgreens to get them fresh, clean, sanitized needles so they wouldn't have to keep using the same one repeatedly or share each others'. I even took an expensive Uber ride through bad rainy weather just to get to this 24-hour Walgreens Pharmacy. Well, I'm not from San Jose but apparently this Walgreen's in particular is known for playing games and doing stuff they shouldn't, like in this case, the employee at the pharmacy "seemed" nice and helped with my request (or so it seemed). Yes, she gave me 31G needles like I asked, but in a .03 syringe!!!! Unfortunately I didn't notice it while I was there, otherwise I would've spoken up about it, but I put it away as soon as she gave it to me to avoid embarrassment. What can anyone do with a .03!!! Those syringes are usually given to pets! Or children! She knew exactly what she was doing. I don't know what she was trying to acomplish by being sneaky like this! She's only doing harm to the community... Needless to say, my friends had to reuse and share the ones they had. This late night trip to Walgreens was useless!!

I should have known better than to go to Walgreens for my Covid vaccine. But they had next-day appointments and no one else did. I arrived early for my appointment and waited at the consultation window. It took eight minutes for one of the six people behind the counter to acknowledge me. She told me I was in the wrong line. So I waited again at the Covid vaccine window, where the pharmacist was helping someone with a prescription issue, not a Covid vaccine. I know this because the employee spoke with him through a plexiglass window with no regard to his privacy. I could tell you his full name, birthdate, and medication. But I won’t. Because Walgreens may not know about HIPAA, but I do. I finally got checked in but had to wait a very long time for my shot. It was in fact a full hour after my scheduled “appointment”. I was not the only frustrated customer. We had a lot of time to talk it over together. Just terrible, as usual. Only exceedingly patient people should even consider coming to Walgreens. That is not me. What was I thinking?

literally the upmost worst service especially in the pharmacy area. i have been back and fourth with them for a week for prescriptions and due to them and their lack of communication my window to pick them up has closed so on top of that i have to wait another 2 weeks to pick up this medication which is to help treat my skin. i’ve had to go to the emergency room 3 times due to the negligence of their work ethics and communication. it shouldn’t be this difficult to pick a prescription that only lasts a month just to have to most likely endure the same process and hassle all over again. you don’t deserve any type of star honestly and if i could id put -5. you guys canceled my order and didn’t even communicate that and on top of that delayed and gave away my order at least 5 times. extremely unorganized. you guys also take HOURS to answer calls and keep putting everyone on hold after asking one question lmao and have even hung up the phone. very shallow and not at all helpful.

Seems pointless writing this review as I can see everyone is experiencing the same service I am at this Walgreens. I have spent hours on hold trying to get through about delayed prescriptions. Then when I am told the issue is resolved and my prescription will be ready soon, I get an email about it being delayed again. Then I have to call again and wait on hold. The staff does not seem to care about any urgency as the delay caused me to be without my medicine. I was told there were over 75 medications that needed to be filled when I called back 4 hours later there was still 45 more medications that needed to be filled. Something needs to be done about this location. This is unacceptable as getting medicine in a timely matter is critical as well as being able to communicate with the Pharmacy which seems near impossible. I have filled my prescriptions here for years with no issues until now. This has been ongoing for months now. PLEASE GET MORE STAFF AND FIX THESE ISSUES!

My doctor sent over two prescriptions 4/4/2022. One got filled the other got lost! Didn't realize it until a month later when I realized I didn't get the 2nd one. Tried to get it re-sent and they lost that one too!!! Tried to call in the evening and got put on hold then they picked up the call then promptly hung up on me! I called a few days later after my doctor's office tried to call them to no avail...big surprise, they never answered their call either! I tried to call about 9pm to inquire on the status of the 3rd attempt and on hold for 30 mins only to be promptly answered then hung up on after other store staff kept trying to connect me to the pharmacy. I will be transferring my prescriptions back to CVS. Customer service is terrible and no one takes responsibility for the poor management of the patient's need for medication.

My family and I went yesterday on Thanksgiving to grab a few things being that they are open everyday. We get there at 4pm and as soon as we walk in we're told that they will be closing the store right then and there. When my wife asked why they said that they didn't have any workers and the manager was going to be the only one in the store. For me I don't buy that 100%. Sure maybe all the workers didn't show up since it's Thanksgiving but what I feel is that they all wanted to go home themselves and decided to close the store for that reason. Good thing CVS across the street was open so we could get what we went out for but this isn't ok for the workers to just close it so they can go home, unless of course none of them showed up for work. Either way it's ridiculous.

The pharmacy here is very busy and long wait times often for dropping or picking up prescriptions due to common lines for vaccines and prescriptions. But you can’t get hold of anyone in the pharmacy on phone. Even my doctor who wanted to clarify a prescription question that Walgreens had and called in and had to wait for half an hour and still they didn’t answer their call also. I had to go in the walgreens in person to mention this to staff and then only they picked up the doctor’s call. Very disappointing that if you want to cancel the prescription order, you can’t do that over phone or online, have to go in person and wait in line. I would avoid this walgreens pharmacy whenever possible.

  • Kirsten Cornell Bula

Worst pharmacy experience. My two-year-old daughter was sick and needed antibiotics. We chose this pharmacy because it's 24 hours. When we arrived there was a handwritten sign that the pharmacist would be out from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. it was close to 9:00 p.m. when we arrived so we waited. When the pharmacist return he said there were 36 orders and he needed to process them in the order they were received. He would not go find my daughter's prescription and fill it. So we left without any medicine and now are having terrible difficulty getting it transferred to another pharmacy that we have confidence in. Please someone from Walgreens contact me so I can give you additional feedback.

This is one of the most poorly run pharmacies i have ever seen. Don’t let its 24 hour availability lure you. The pharmacists never answer the phone-they even hung up on my doctor!!! Prescriptions routinely take many hours to fill, status isn’t updated. I was told an rx available would be available at x time. then when i got there it was delayed. The person couldn’t tell me when it would be ready. I’m currently at 90 mins and counting. The store is messy and understocked. I have gotten this experience at least half a dozen times. I am done being patient. Walgreens needs to either pay more to get better people or shut this down. I have cancer. I don’t need this hassle in my life.

  • Kimberly Lyons

This is the absolute worst pharmacy you could ever go to. You would find faster help at the bottom of the ocean. The pharmacists are slower than dog s#it and I highly doubt they are qualified. I’ve never been to a worse or slower pharmacy. I have to call and wait 45 minutes for them to just “send my prescription through” (every other pharmacy just fills auto) and then wait 45 min in line to pick them up. I’ve been waiting for 48 min now just to transfer my medication to another pharmacy.

  • Carmen Lopez Martinez

I have never experienced such poor customer service there waiting time is ridiculously 2 hours long just to speak to someone to order my prescriptions. I have been calling for over 2 weeks to get my prescription in order and they have been giving me the run around. I have had to call my Dr's office and have them call the pharmacy to confirm my prescriptions and fax verification and they still have not been able to complete my order. This WALGREENS HAS BEEN THE WORST 24 HOURS EVER!!!

  • Bebe Eldridge

HORRIBLE service! Typical very long lines whether inside or at drive thru. Most of the time they don't even answer the phone. If they do answer, you are put on hold for a very long time. Just got disconnected after being on hold 21 minutes. MANY times I have gone to pick up a prescription and was told it is not in stock (after getting a text saying it was ready) I do everything I can to use the mail order service so I can avoid dealing with Walgreen's. Extremely poor management!!

  • Darsh Kad

Came here for a COVID vaccine appointment Went to the COVID vaccine check in counter, waited 10 minutes and the staff came and told me to stand in the main line. 30 minute wait in that line that had 4 people to be checked in. A 30 minute wait afterward to get the shot. This may not be too horrible, you might think BUT there was no one else waiting to get the shot!!! I guess I found out the hard why no one else comes here for shots! I should have read the other reviews.

  • Sapna Desai

Waited for an hour for a flu shot despite there being 5 people working at the pharmacy and hardly any other people there for a shot. The woman who gave me the shot must have been inexperienced, because as soon as she gave the shot, my arm started gushing blood which has never happened before in my life! My fingers also feel a little numb. I have gotten vaccines every year and never experienced something like this. Definitely will never return to this location.

  • Ali Kafi

Worse pharmacy ever. No customer service available here. I went to ER and the doctor sent my prescription to this 24-hour pharmacy since it was after 8:00pm and other pharmacys were closed. I was able to get a text that my prescription is readythe next day at 10:00am. And that is after waiting at the drive window for 35min, then they posted that you need to come inside. So another 1.5hrs in line with fever and cough and body aches. This place is unbelievable.

  • Kanchan Ghosh

I tried their curbside pickup via the app. In short never use the app for curbside pickup. Order wasn’t ready, did not know I was waiting etc. I had to go into the store to pickup like I normally would. The app said it would include my prescription order as well. It did not. Net net their app is a joke. It makes an already difficult experience dealing with this store even worse. Yes, hard to believe it could be worse but their app does manage to achieve that

This pharmacy is horribly understaffed. My husband at a 12:45 appointment for the flu shot. He arrived at 12:40. They didn’t give him the shot until 2:15. We have also had horrible experiences trying to get urgent prescriptions filled. They are no longer allowing people to wait and then prioritizing those waiting. I will say the staff have always been friendly and are often treated poorly by other frustrated customers. They need to have more staff working.

  • Neeha I

Went to this location around 9:50 pm for a passport photo since the location is 24/7. When we asked for a picture to be taken, the person at the counter started saying “No, no, no”, so we asked what time do they normally close and he responds “right now! Starting right now!”. I don’t think there was a need to be so agitated, a simple “no, we are closed” would have sufficed. Obviously, never going back. Many other pharmacies in the area.

  • Jennifer Downing

LUDICROUS wait times—24 hours later, my basic generic antibiotic prescription still unfilled. No explanation. Went in person. No explanation. Two hours later, called pharmacy. Still no prescription and still no explanation. Finally had my doc send to a new pharmacy. Don’t use this pharmacy unless you absolutely need something filled overnight when the other pharmacies are closed.

  • Morvarid F

Awful experience! They were so rude! So unprofessional! It is 24/7 pharmacy, and just for 1 pill they advised me to go to an emergency room and have a doc prescribe an emergency pill since the one I needed was a prescription and they were too busy to refill a single pill for me!!!! So ridiculous! Honestly don’t even bother with this pharmacy horrible people and customer service!

  • John A

If it was possible I would rate this store a negative. The pharmacy is horrible. After waiting in line for 23 minutes I was told the prescription is not ready and will be ready in 30 minutes. Now it’s one hour and it’s still not ready. I think that they might be short staffed. They never pick up the phone calls each time I call the phone rings until it is disconnected.

  • Maria Payne

I have been on the phone this afternoon for one hour twenty five minutes trying to talk to a pharmacist wondering what the hold up is with the prescription my doctor put me back on at an office visit. No one ever answered. Time to go back to CVS at least they answer the phone. If I ran a business like this place I’d be out of business. This Walgreens stinks.

  • Samantha Gammell

Worst Pharmacy I've ever used, ended up switching to CVS because they actually fill my prescriptions within a reasonable time. I had a kidney infection and it took days to get my antibiotics filled and they never even called/texted it was ready. (They said they would). Won't ever use this place again, I'd rather drive an extra 20 mins somewhere else.

  • Cindy Torrez

Late night. Shelves bare. Floor dirty. Hardly any employees to be found. The ones u do find though are nice & pleasant & somewhat helpful. As a plus tho, this is prob the only 24 hr pharmacy in this city, aside from any hosp's that have their own 24 hr pharmacies. *However, they do close every day for lunch break: 1:30 am - 2:00 am

  • Julie Kimball

Medicine was unavailable 2 hours after called in by doctor. Pharmacy is understaffed with a single pharmacist literally running through the aisles to keep up. Store and pharmacy was dirty. Employees were polite and kind. I picked up med at a private pharmacy - never again at this one despite the hard working pharmacist and tech.

  • Sean Rolinson

One of the worst Pharmacies I've ever worked with. Canceled a prescription with no contact, information, or explanation. They just cancel it and let you figure out why in your own. They don't answer the phone (or you'll wait literally hours on hold). Find a local pharmacy, you'll be much happier in the long run.

  • YS L

Well, just another store which decided the closing hours by the staff. Came to the store around 11ish pm but had a written sign on the door said "store is closed". And this was the 3rd time in the past couple months. I guess depends on your luck in case you need anything from this particular location …

  • Matt Milli

2nd time this week that I came to this Walgreens in the middle of the night since they claim to be open “24/7” and it’s closed again Why even advertise those hours , either the overnight crew is finessin the store n sleepin thru their shifts or I just have bad luck every time I come here lol …

  • Anya Avanes

If you want to give yourself a heart attack go ahead and fill up you prescriptions in this Walgreens. They have the worst pharmacists. The technicians are not bad but the pharmacists are beyond terrible. If you care about your mental health AVOID this Walgreens. I would sue them if i could.

  • Arizona Sundevil

I feel bad about giving this pharmacy 1 star. They really deserve less than that but it is the lowest I can do. The pharmacists here are aggressively bad. They are unpleasant, uncaring, and unprofessional. Walgreens is usually bad but these guys take uncaring to a whole new lower level.

  • Matt Bryson

Please save yourself the trouble of using this as your pharmacy, and go to your local non-24 hour one. It took me over an hour and a half to get through the line, at which time the prescription wasn’t ready, and I was told I’d have to wait another hour, and line up a second time.

  • Ronn Brashear

You might think sitting in the drive-thru for almost an hour to pick up a prescription. Waiting behind two other cars is bad, but try waiting inside. It's worse. There is no drugstore slower than this one. Understaffed? Just plain slow? Doesn't matter. It is. Avoid at all costs.

  • Cxsh

Don’t advertise being open 24 hours a day to have me and a few strangers wait outside at 5:00am to then have to knock on the window to get a woman’s attention inside for her to tell us you’re closed. Really unfortunate y’all even have 24 hours listed on the door outside!

  • Mandy Andrei

It took 4 hours, 2 trips back and forth to the doctor, and a trip to ER and they still did not fill the prescription pretending they have the wrong prescription, which was a lie as we have the message the doctors sent. This place is a complete mess!

  • Bryan Plett

Stay away at all costs. There is a reason they have a rating of 1. It is all true. Dirty place and unprofessional. It is not 24 hour despite what they claim. They will take your prescription 24 hours but tell you to come back tomorrow.

  • John Di Mario

Super efficient and convenient location. Plenty of parking. I had a photo order to pick up and was quickly assisted and checked out, nice friendly service. Recommended

  • Shani de Ruiter

Absolute nightmare to handle them! Takes hours for prescription to be ready. Not answering the phone and supposed to be open 24/7. I’m here at 6am and they’re gone.

  • Maria U. Shkarlat

A 30-minute wait in the prescription line of only me—absolutely zero attention. Use drive-through if you don't want to waste time inside the store.

  • Sabina

The pharmacy worker are super slow.. The pharmacist was rude...
