It was just a matter of time they close it down. There were a lot of internal problems. I used to do the curbside pickup here often but last time was nearly 6 months ago. Half of what you order won't be in stock. They did try their best to accommodate with substitutions. Half of the time I declined the substitute. The designated parking for curbside pickup was another issue. I saw minimal effort by Walmart to stop those who weren't picking up from parking there. The pharmacy curbside was a joke. They always lied and said they can't bring it out because the machine is down. I eventually transferred prescriptions to Walgreens. One time they had someone out there monitoring and confirming if those trying to park there were actually picking up. Even that employee said it will be short lived cause it's going to revert right back. Just think of the pickup customers who can't find a designated parking spot, they need to know where the customer is. They can't just give the order to any car. It has to be in the system an actual parking spot. Who knows what Walmart lost by customers and Door dash having to cancel orders cause they can't find a spot. The Evergreen Park location has the same problem as far as the curbside pickup parking. Those parking where they shouldn't, you're part of the problem as well. What does the sign say? Labor shortage was another issue. Again one time I was waiting for an extremely long time because only one employee said he was the only one back there doing everything. He couldn't tell me how much longer, he'll get to me when he can. I had to cancel that time. The last straw was an item being tampered with. I don't care how rough something is handled, the seal isn't going to tear itself in two different places. This was something that could've been easily overlooked had it not been for the product leaking. The only reason it leaked because it tilted over. I contacted the manufacturer about it as well. Somebody at Walmart tampered with this here, whether they were trying to get a sip or put something in it, don't matter. I don't want anything to do with the whole store now.

Just go ahead and close the doors for me! I visited this store on today! Worst Walmart I EVER BEEN too ! When I walked in the line was literally wrapped around an aisle! I should of knew that was a red flag! I then go to the electronics department NOBODY is there! I see a lady with a dark blue Walmart vest on I ask her can she call somebody she OUTRIGHT said NO! It was at that point that I knew if I I said something… it wasn’t going to go well. I just looked for the next set of associates. Two girls with teal Walmart walk pass they ignore me at first when I say excuse me so I say it again and say to them I need help with the laptops can you call someone over they continue walking and one says I’ll see what I can do in a very sassy and sarcastic voice AGAIN I decided against getting sassy with her! Luckily a man walked up out of nowhere in a teal vest he was very attentive and helpful! He went in the back got the laptop and checked us out right there! I’m unsure of what his name was but this all took place on 7/11 around the 6 o’clock hour I’m sure the camera caught ALL THAT BAD SERVICE and the GOOD experience at the end!! Glad to see that there are people in retail who still want to give good customer service !!! Secondly, the Walmart Academy should be closed and shutdown! It’s no way on earth they’re doing trainings or teaching ANY KIND of good customer service in there! All their employees were rude and unprofessional! With the exception of the young man who helped me! He must of completed his training because he was great! The rest of that staff please RE-TRAIN them!!! Walmart doesn’t need an academy it needs a customer service boot camp! They wasted their money with that academy nobody and I mean nobody is learning there CANT BE!!

This Wal-Mart is always packed, long lines, barely any stock. It is my neighborhood store and I would prefer to shop there but I mean come on how hard is it to up your stock orders. I don't care what time of day you shop stock is always on the sales floor on skids blocking easy routes to get around the store. Can't they pay extra to have stock people come in at night so at least the store looks decent first thing in the morning. It irritates me to my core how no matter how short or how long my list is there is at least a couple of items that are not in stock. Their workers are either extremely nice or to me should not have their jobs they are so mean and yet you see the same faces all the time. I do shop at other Wal-Marts. Which is a shame. I spend a lot of money between cooking for the elderly and all my crafting projects. Since this store has a hard time getting it correct and I don't think it is fair that I should have to drive out of my way Wal-Mart leaves thousands of my shopping dollars for other retailers to snag. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the bathrooms are usually pretty decent, the pleasant workers make up for the trolls, and management does try really hard to accommodate some of the madness. The store has been like this since the first grand opening and the reopening hasn't changed anything. I am not holding out hope but yet at least twice a month I give them another chance. I will update my review if I notice any real change.

For the neighborhood that it’s in, (next to a very busy expressway) this at times can be a very good or very confusing Walmart. It’s set up just like the one in Ford City, with a grocery department, home goods, electronics, and a fabric and crafts section. The products are culturally diverse, and they even have a dedicated seasonal section year round. Half of the employees know what they are doing. Those “employees” turn out to be vendors. I was with a friend who was experiencing cardiac trouble and we needed emergency help. One employee came over to help, then she disappeared. It took about three vendors later for us to get someone, an actual employee to just stand outside to let the emergency crew find us. I was on the phone with DISPATCH the entire time, and they were even confused. “Are you in the store Or somewhere on the street?” We we’re in the back of the store near the baby food isle. Anyway, thankfully he was okay, but it really took a lot of work just to get a human being to stand outside just to show the EMT’s where to go. As employees go, they hired a ton of adult employees here. So there are fewer kids than at the 95th street store. There is a very good manager on board there (95th) who knows how to reign in the teens. As for the Walmart on Doty Road, it’s not bad, but take your LIFE ALERT with you. You will need it.

Clean but had problems finding help in some departments The customer service was not visible. The lady that was working at the desk at the time was very rude. I went to return an item that was not properly priced. I gave her my original receipt. The item was returned. When I got home I discovered that I was overcharged for another item. So I went back to get a correction. The correction was done and I was credited for that item once again when I was running up I was overcharged and she corrected it. She kept my original receipt. When I returned to the house I discovered another overtime. Went back to the store and informed her that I did not have my original receipt because she kept it when I was given the credit. And no form of fashion the lady called me a liar in my face saying that I lost the receipt and it was my fault. I had requested that she checked the footage from the camera or either check the receipts from the day before. And she told me that no she wasn't going to do it that I lost my receipt and it was my fault. I know that she kept my receipt and gave me a replacement so I was not able to return or exchange anything from the original receipt. I don't believe that I will be going back to the store again and for her to sit and call me a liar in my face was very very rude.

I wanted to give this place 'Bout a fourth(1/4)Of a star but I didn't know how! This place is the pits. I read a lot of reviews all negative but I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt so I didn't believe any of it. Now that I've gone in the store-05/11/2017 I can believe every word. There may be two(2)employees,probably more but not that many, worthy of the job. The young lady who assisted me at the self check-out was very good; she should be the manager because if they have a manager they are not doing their job at all. The self check-out terminal did not have the money in it necessary to give me my change. Furthermore some employee seem to have very bad attitudes, like the security lady standing at the door when I was leaving. I greeted her with "Have a nice day" and she Frownd without saying a word. Now lately l had visited a number of these stores and this one was the worst. Furthermore a lot of the prices were higher than the other stores; especially the 'Movies'! Oh the girl in the deli' my brother compliments her all the time... She's an asset to the company!

Too many associates engaging in casual conversation all over the store, always!! 10 foot rule not being applied, shelves not properly stocked, didn't have on the shelves what I came in there to buy, even though they have a sign and space shelf for it; went to the bakery and when I asked an associate who worked in bakery if that was her department, she scralled at me and asked me what did I want. No smile, no greeting, nothing!! What has happened to GOOD customer service. It cost nothing to smile and say hello, I did, even before I asked her if that was her department. I want to spend my money where I feel appreciated and it is such a shame that I have to drive miles away to feel appreciated as a customer and for good customer service. I will give credit to the one young man in pharmacy/women's personal items, he did sincerely apologize for the item I needed not being there, but no one offered to check in the back to see if they had the item back there. He checked the top only.

It's true the customer service here is unprofessionally strange. Little do they seem to understand that without customers being there they would have no job. At any rate my returns were rung up extremely low. They claim because I didn't have my receipt I have to go by clearance prices. What a rip off. I was out $15 on a $20 Bissell item that I returned that was marked down to $5. I wasn't aware about the clearance price amounts at first because while I had to step out to get my ID for the cashier she continued the transaction without me being present. When I got back she just handed me a purchase card & a receipt. The cashier also had the nerve to tell me I didn't buy a handbag there that I was returning since there was no tag on it. I said I did get this from here. She was so mentally off. Even after I had given her enough info to look it up to confirm online on walmart she didn't care to make the inquiry.

I been buying Walmart car batteries for over 10 years, and never had a problem. Last night while attempting to exchange a battery I was asked for a RECIEPT and/or CC that I used to purchase the battery back in July 2021, after producing the credit card I was told by the clerk that it was too old and I needed to contact the manufacturer. I asked for a manager but was told that the highest level of management was a CREW LEAD, and he only made matters worse. The LEAD looked at the computer, they scanned the battery again, and I was told by the manager that I need to call the number on the battery and they don't deal with exchanges. I asked him to show me the policy multiple times, but he told me it wasn't written and he couldn't show me, and that I needed to call that number on the battery. I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY A STORE AS BIG AS WALMART CANT HAVE COMPETENT MANAGEMENT ON THE PREMISIS IN THE EVENING ?

When this Walmart first opened they lulled us with plenty of register when this Walmart first opened they lulled us with plenty of register operators the store was always fully stocked everyone was pleasant and nice and helpful. Now prior to yesterday the self-checkout only accepted cards there was always long lines and hardly any register operators open plenty of people walking around the place not doing anything while the shelves are barely stocked! They should never have people stocking while their customers in the store stocking should happen overnight when nobody is there and when we come in as customers the shelves should be full but they never are never ever ever our since day one! They only do this in the African American communities when I go to other communities it's not the same but not enough people complain that's why they feel it's okay to treat us the way they do!

The design has changed some what , since the first riot. They expanded the inside for health .They also add more products for things like garden. I can also tell there putting in more effort to keep things organized. They also have curbside and in-store pic up, but I wouldn't say it's very convenient. I order online and slected in store pick up. I waited over an hour to get my ready to pickup email. I ended up just going into the store and asking him about the order and they told me it wouldn't be ready until the next day. Which was a lie because I was able to walk to the aisle and get the exact same product I ordered. Another downside is the bathroom. Every time I go to this walmart the bath is a mess . Tissue on the floor, clogged toilets full of tissue and pee and dirty counters. They remodeled the bathroom but they are always disgusting so it doesn't matter.

In truth, I feel like I'm being a little lenient with the three star rating. Some departments here are nice and amazing. Namely talking about the pharmaceutical department. Now, this is not a knock against the entire staff, but there are some who are not as qualified as others. The store has slowly been getting better, but there is still a ways to go. The store sometime is in disarray in some departments, but they've been getting better. But there is a bad problem with doing inventory. There were times where something was ordered online expected for pick up in store, but got delayed due to being a mistake in inventory. I think over the past few months, there has been a management change and the moral around the store seems better and it hasn't been as bad as in 2017 where this store would've gotten a 1 start rating. Time is key to improvement, it seems.

Great for late night runs and grabbing last minute items! Open til 11 pm, (and really hoping it eventually goes back to 24 hrs) because I love late night shopping!! No lines to wait in, no crowds to navigate in the store, no traffic to haggle with in the parking lot or during the commute, etc .. Totally makes running errands a breeze, especially at Walmart since you can find everything from groceries to household items & supplies, personal care products, baby and pet needs, first aid and medical, hardware, automotive, organizing... even clothing and shoes! Need milk, bananas, a blender, clean socks, laundry soap, a toilet seat, bathroom cleaner, shampoo, light bulbs, a hammer, windex, new wiper blades, an axe, a reflective dog collar, some fishing lures, v and a barbeque grill? and akkjll for the best deal possible? Walmart is the place!

  • Simon D.C.

Staff has had attitudes. Walks around yelling at each other and fooling around, smells like weed, talk about how they "tore up" the guest bathroom's toilet. When asking them for help 95% respond "I am on my break" or seem to have an attitude. I have been there at least 20 times and only one time I talked to a young man who was extremely helpful. Some items aren't stocked for weeks. At checkout you are lucky if someone greets you or says anything at all. However, the ones who talk are very nice. The entire staff needs more training!!!! This beyond dissatifying. I would actually give 0 stars if that was possible. I guess the fact that it is close to me makes me come back but I will most likely avoid from now on since each time it gets worse.

  • Shay Jones

Some of the female young staff is insolent smart mouthed and rude. Train them to work with the public. I'm a senior citizen. If I raised a child like the ones Walmart has hired to work there, they would be getting a GOOD SPANKING. I got into it with a nasty young lady with an attitude. I dared her to say anything to me. Your employees are doing WALMART a disservice. And they should not be gossiping around customers. Some, I've noticed spend way too much time walking around with nothing to do with nothing to occupy their time. Or they are chatting with one another. You need to do better. You need to do better with your supplies. The website says one thing and when I get there it's quite another. Too many times.

Worst customer service ever! I went to pick up an online order and the black girls at customer service are so unprofessional and unorganized! The lady named Gloria had to come and ask me the same thing they asked and she got on the phone with the online ordering dpt and told them I been waiting too long for my items and the man said he was on his way out with them. The other girls couldn’t get on the phone to talk to no one and told me I just have to wait Bcs they had already called which was 10 minutes before Gloria came and which I had already been waiting in my car for 15 minutes after checking in before I decided to come into the store! Thank You Gloria❤️‼️

  • Victoria

I called to see if a product was in stock a few times. When an associate answered, I asked about the product and the associate started to have a conversation with some other woman. All I heard in the background was a woman saying take care of the instore customers first. I was then hung up on. I tried calling back but no one answered. Definitely not the associate's fault as she sounded ready to help. I'm not sure why the other person thought it'd be okay to tell an associate to dismiss a customer they are already on the phone with. In store and over the phone customers are both important.

  • Patricia Johnson

It was 5 days before Xmas at 4p and the place was very well stocked. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to find items I looked for. Surprisingly, I was able to zip thru checkout using the self checkout. I always like the kitchen wares there because you can find unusual, beautifully decorated plates, bowls...dinnerware, among the rest. Forget about ambiance there during holiday shopping. It can remind you of Costco in some aisles. It's all about providing as many affordable options as possible. It's best if you know exactly what you want before getting there.

  • Markisha Ford

I called Walmart hours in advance to see what time the money center closed. The person on the phone said 8pm. When I arrived shortly after it just became 7pm. I arrived to no one in the money center. A worker in the store said that the money center closed at 7pm. That was very unprofessional and the sign needs to be changed in the store to reflect a different time if the store money center hours changed. Same thing happened today. Yesterday they closed at 7pm now they closed at 8pm. They don’t know what time they close or open. ☹️

  • Zena B

Prices habitually ring up at the register for more than what the shelf says. As a result, you waste time at customer service in a slow moving line and depending on whose working customer service, they may or may not honor the price on the shelf. This is what happened to me yesterday and the day before. 2 days ago, they honored the shelf price. Yesterday they would not because of the quantity I had purchased. A giant waste of time. Always check your receipts before leaving any Walmart store. They're NOTORIOUS for overcharging people.

  • Ron Johnson II

For the most part, this store has what I need. There are times an item may be out of stock but I haven't experienced that too often. And if an item IS it out, they usually have a reasonable option for purchasing. The staff isn't the greatest as far as availability. Sometimes you have to look for them and you'll find them gathered somewhere. But if you do find them, they do seem to be knowledgeable about product location and options. Overall it's a decent experience going there. And WHO DOESN'T LIKE HANGING OUT IN WALMART,

  • Reginald Sigler

I always do curbside pickup. Today I got there at my appt time. Got a message that my order was delayed for another time. After 90 minutes I got my order. They were short of staff, so all curbside orders would be behind today. Walmart has a long way to go to compete with Amazon for delivery. Just did curbside again after months being away. The service was better and my order was delivered on time. My one complaint was that a case of pop was put in to close to the rear door, so that when I opened the door it fell out.

  • Shanta Evans I

Horrible!! This is the Worst Walmart I have ever gone to! Ordered groceries to be delivered on the 14th didn't get them till I paid an uber to go get them on the 21st! They kept giving me the run around on the customer service line and when I called the store several times a day No One Answered! Picked them up waited 30 minutes for someone to come help me. Once she did she gave a dry apology and didn't offer me a loaf of bread for my inconvenience! Got home and missing my ground beef!! Ugh Never Order from Here!!

  • Constance Anderson

The cashier was on her phone (it was in her bra) the entire time she checked me out. I found out when I thought she was talking to me, and she let me know dhe was on the phone. So, when she stopped ringing my order to dial another number, I waited and she then asked if I was going to pay. I said when you finish ringing me out. She stated she didn't realize I had more items...well, obviously the phone call is more important than customer service. I hadn't been here in 6 months, now I know why.

  • Paul Dark

Dirty Walmart with alot of workers but no efficiency. Majority of staff are African American, I guess it's the neighborhood. Restrooms have no paper seat covers and there is toilet paper all over place. Stinks in there too. Water machine is broken for few days already, nobody cares... Employees going around cussing like there is no tomorrow, also witnessed then walking around seemingly doing nothing, but when we're asked for help by customer, he was sent to "talk to this guy"...wow...

  • Lionel Dunn

The lines were long as usual.there are three registers that have cashiers and as usual only one was open. I decided yo go to the soap section and there was there people waiting. One man said i rung the bell two minutes ago. So i proceeded to go for assisted and we still had to wait a couple of minutes more. Oh the soap is locked up and someone has to open it with a key. I have spoken to the store manager in the past and nothing has changed. I will call cooperate and she what happens.

  • Kashmere “Kash” Haynes

Some days it's amazing. Can find everything you want and need. May even luck up with nice workers. Other days not so much. Low stock, horrible attitudes not only from the staff, but fellow customers as well. Even the quality of produce isn't always on track. And no matter the day, their bathrooms are always filthy. Hold it until you get home if possible. But its convenient as far as location for me and not every trip there is horrible! Once a month there's a conflict of some sort.

  • AUGUSTUS SANFORD

The renovation is awesome! Morning staff is polite and courteous. Sold out of paper towels and disenfecting wipes, but all other products are fully stocked. There was a lot of corporate and visiting staff on-site to assist with operations. All check out lanes are self check out BUT they have staff that will assist with scanning. You must bag your own groceries. Praying that the good customer service continues after the corporate and visiting staff leave!

  • Christopher Lee

Well stocked with what I looked to purchase. Staff was trying their best to assist even though they seemed understaffed at the moment. And some of my fellow customers were inpatient. We all need to remember that everyone has pulse that lives so therefore they also have feelings as well. So act accordingly. An associate I believe her name was, "Tierra" was extremely helpful and pleasant. She definitely deserves a raise.

  • Angela Robinson

Everything is locked up! You can't buy basic things like deodorant and body wash without an employee to unlock the cabinets. And you'll be waiting about a half hour before some even comes. It's really terrible buying hard liquor here too. NOBODY HAS THE KEY!!! I hate that this place is so close to my house because it encourages me to come here. But countless times i end up leaving here and going to the one on Doty Rd.

  • Lacynthia Alston

I usually bypass this Walmart because it is void of many products, hard to get help and the new check-out system is not a fave but this visit wasn't bad. An associate helped me without asking, he was knowledgeable about the item that I wanted in the electronic dept.,and he took me straight to the register and checked me out with no wait. I'm not completely sold on this location but they earned a future visit from me.

  • James Cook Ródenas

Majority of the employees I encountered were rude and unhappy looking. One in TV section was bothered when I asked for help on TVs. Cashier was eating and chatting with cleaners, never greeted me, more interested in her food and scrapping her teeth. Aisles seemed abandoned and careless. I've been to many Walmarts, this one is very low in comparison. I give a 2nd star only for prices and variety, as for any Walmart.

  • Mariah’s Stevenson

If I can rate no stars I would this Walmart has some of the most rudest people I have ever met. I used my Walmart app to check a price and when I was at the register it was different price I notified the worker which he got smart with me when ask him to price match. I told him all Walmart does it he told me well we not other Walmart I asked for a manager and he denied me of that I will never go back here again.

  • I Turner

All hardware/shelving are new in the store and it looks very nice. I have noticed the attitude and helpfulness seems a bit better then it was when they closed. I absolutely hate the whole store has gone to self serve checkout with an associate standing by "IF" you need help. I'll give it a couple of months. I truly hope things get better rather then revert back to how it was in the past. Only time will tell.

  • Victoria Gross

First time back at this location since covid. It's seems better. They have a lot more stuff in stock. The employees seem more relaxed and a little more professional. I do hate how the checkout lines are shorter and there's more self checkout now. Which is silly because how are people supposed to check out with $400 worth of groceries in the self checkout??? Makes no sense. But it is what it is.‍♀️

  • Bobby Lewis

They need to close this Wal-Mart down, like how do you sell the same fan for two different prices? I have to edit my review because I wanna know why do I have to show my receipt leaving the store and why do I have to have the security device removed from my galetta fusion blades at the door and not the register? I have a video of there reason but it won't let me post it but I still don't understand why?

  • Venice - (TheyCallMeVinnie)

Check in policy for online orders was not made clear to individuals waiting in line. When it was finally their turn at the counter, they were told to go check in first, then wait in line again to pick up their items. My order was not correct. I received a different item than I purchased. The customer service agent tried to find the correct item, but it was not in stock. I appreciated his efforts though.

  • Briana Williams

At this point just close this store down! What’s the point of a designated pick up spot if they allow people to park there and shop. Parking lot security should be writing tickets. On top of that even after checking into a pickup spot i had to wait 25mins and then had to call once i realized no one was coming; only to be told to pull up to the door. Please someone make this make since it’s ridiculous.

  • Karen McClain

This store is horrible. 90% of the staff is there for a check. You can't get people to answer the phone. When you as for a manager the manager behavior is worse than the staff. The pharmacy won't answer the phone. They gave my 8yr old 500mg capsules! Are you serious? I can barely swallow a capsule. I wonder how many other prescriptions were botched and the pharmacy keeps literally hanging up the phone

  • Big Sam Robinson

The only + this store gets is that it's the only full-size Walmart on the south side. Other than that, they're not well stocked, the only thing you can find without issues is tolit paper and shampoo. The asile always has boxes of merchandise ready to be stocked but not enough people working to do it. You're likely to go there 2 to 4 times a week just to get items You're shopping for for one day.

  • Chava Israel

I had an online pick up. When I parked, they sent an email to me saying my order was picked up. No one came to the car. I went inside to customer service, they were paged twice and I waited a good 20 minutes before I went to shop. I came back to the service center after checking out all of my items, no one from online pick up had ever showed up. This Walmart is the worst one I've ever visited.

  • Philip Swint

Horrible experience in liquor department. Alcohol locked up, cool service was ridiculous, had to go to customer service to get help. Had to wait in that line for someone to be called to liquor department with key(manager). Waited 15 minutes and no one showed up. That's all I came there for and never got helped total of at least 40 minutes and still no service just Left. Need a better system.

I went in on yesterday and it was absolutely horrific. Not one bottle of hot sauce in store. Shelves completely bare no spring water in store at all frozen section’s almost bare. Only think stocked was the bread! You could literally hear echoes of people complaining about not finding what’s needed due to no inventory. It was like shopping through scraps. NEVER EVER AGAIN WALMART

  • Lisa Marie Hafner

The young lady, cashier, did a wonderful job helping me...:) Waiting to check out took about 30 minutes; a bit too long... Most of the workers are polite and kept their distance-- except the man stocking toys... :( He got way too close... He could have waited a minute for us to finish in the aisle. We're happy with our purchases and will shop earlier, on a weekday, next time! :)

  • Scottie thomas

It was an awful experience at this location. I had an order pick up, I got a text saying order was ready, I waited an hour and a half for them to find the order. Then half the order was missing. That didn’t pop up until I had waited for two hours. I will never ever. Come here again. I told them just refund my order. But that was a problem also. Still waiting for refund.

It is the worst pick up store I’ve ever been to. They are so rude and unprofessional. Cars are always parked in the numbered pick up spots. There is never any spots available. They will make you wait over 30 minutes for a pick up and then give your order away to someone else. Terrible!!! Something ain’t right with the pick up department. They need to be investigated.

  • Joe Louis

Its becoming ridiculous shopping in this store today for the first time, I was trying to purchase deodorant another woman wanted soap everything was locked up. We called for assistance multiple times even security summoned someone nobody showed up after 15 minutes. Why shop in the community if you won't employ the proper personnel to accommodate your customers?

I went Walmart o 83rd Stewart to their deli department to buy, turkey meat the guy began, cutting my meat and turned around toward me with a dirty, nose snot running and dripping from his nose. February 17.2022 @ 545pm I asked him if he thought it was cool cutting food and unclean nose running. He continued cutting like, it was no problem. I’ll never buy again

  • Carnella Nathaniels

Customer service needs improvement. One worker had no knowledge of where items in the department was located Directed customer to another worker which wasn't any better. Finally one saleswoman was polite and helped out customer after observing how customer was being treated. Thanks you so much saleswoman to the rescue of customer very knowledgeable.

  • Yolanda Williams

If you have W+ and this location on 83rd is the store for your delivery be prepared for a ride...half the items are unavailable even though it says in stock. Lord don't let them substitute unless you want a family size package or diet item. The delivery driver may bring all your food or 4 items out of the 35 that you were charged !!!!

  • S Lee

This store was more organized than prior visits. This location was very well stocked considering i went early Sunday morning the shelves often seemed wiped out from the Saturday shoppers. Thanksgiving is coming up this Thursday. I also overheard two employees talking about new management. Whatever the reason keep up the great improvement!

  • Bba Campbell

Just left this establishment @ 10:23 the doors are locked & a VERY RUDE 3rd party security guard didn’t make it any better sitting in his truck just a VERY NASTY TONE I hate this is the closest grocery store near by if they not shooting/fighting (employees 2) also the employees talk bad about the customers out loud just awful ZERO STARS

  • LCW W

Today my visit went rather well. I was there to pick up an online order and was taken care of in less than 5 minutes. Then I had a slight detour to the housewares department and was able to find and purchase four 18 x18 throw pillows at a reasonable price! The 20 items or less lines moved pretty fast and the cashier was pleasant!

  • Theresa Custard

I was so excited when this Walmart came back to our neighborhood. More job opportunities and it was really needed in the community. I love the remodel and customer service. Sadly, this is still the worst walmart every. They never have anything. The manager should know by now what we need the most. Hoping they will get better.

  • L Dagley

On 6/8/22 I was shopping with my mother who was using the scooter. My mother had to use the restroom but it was not open and I had groceries in another basket. A young lady Envita approached us after she saw I needed help. She showed us where the other restroom was. I like to thank her for her kindness and assisting us.

  • Barbara Young

I go to this Walmart all the time. I went during off hours around 11:30am so the wait wasn't long. I usually find what I need most of the time. They were restocking from the holidays. The cashier was pleasant. The meats and produce are always fresh. Thanks for finally getting a Walmart Supercenter in our neighborhood

  • Christie Woods

The bakery messed up two cake orders in week span. The first they didn't make ...my cupcakes.... Instead i was given a 8in cake ..... I was ensured the three tier cake for a 40th birthday dinner would be ready for pick up when I pick up the cake this is what I get The service is totally unacceptable

  • John Franklin

Went there today for my phase II COVID vaccine this morning. Much better organized than they were 4 weeks ago. Things went very well indeed. The pharmacy staff were very much on the ball and professional. I was in and out in about 90 minutes tops. Kudos to the Walmart staff, you did very well today.

  • Shomik Das

So, another super chain that I am supposed to give a review for. It's alright, nothing special! I don't get how this place gets more than 3 stars, it's not like the place is paved with gold or they do shopping for you. You still get your cart the same way and pay the same way. Nothing special at all

  • Anthony

It's a good store. Self-checkout is now slowly out-ruling the usual way of checkout, bit there are workers to help you of you have issues with the self-checkout. I would recommend this place for grocery and pharmacy, maybe tech, toys gift cards, etc. but for anything else, I'd go to a local store

  • Daniel Davis

This Walmart must have lots of credit card fraud. Some of the staff was very friendly others wouldn't even aknowledge me. But I tried 3 different credit cards and all were declined. Even after calling one of the cc providers they recommended going somewhere else and that did end up fixing it.

  • trishdesires

Never have I walked in a department store and saw associates with sagging pants. I frequent this location and the male employees are just disgraceful to look at. Management needs to enforce better appearance and more professional demeanor. Everyone working there is old enough to know better.

  • BonnieCarol's Creations

This smaller store location is ok but does offer fresh fruits, vegetables not a deli counter. This location is also a downer in that it is totally self checkout. They also have very little to offer in the area of yarns, fabric but the upside it they do have lots of sewing notions …

  • Carey Smith

Today i was visiting the store for something and the cashiers who was serving me! Was so very nice that i call the main office to tell them how wonderful she was to me and others!!! Just awesome person! Make me want to visit again!! With people like her!!! working there you can't go wrong.

  • Sages Michael

The employees who has been there for some time are pretty good! Some of the employees that are new are OK. But Walmart at 83rd always run out of beer and alcohol and sells old movies for $5 that no one else wants! The new and young employees really need an attitude check...too dam moody!

  • Leonard Anderson

Good hours opening at 6:00 pm. One of 5 to enter store early. Help was available to find items quickly. I hate that in Chicago you pay for bags at 7 cents each. Is this achieving the goal set out or is it another way to nickel and dime citizens with no accountability for proposed goals.

  • Sharon Samuels

I went late in the evening to pick up a few things. I especially needed to get some things for my grandchildren who unexpectedly had to stay with me for the night. I was able to pick up everything that I needed and was very pleased that everything that I needed was stocked.

  • cheryl pitts

All self checkout. Way better than the previous wait times. Better movement of people in and out of the store due to COVID-19 with the self checkout lanes. Positive improvement for Wal-Mart. Shoppers seems more upbeat. Waited in line for only 2 minutes. Serious improvement!

  • Jazmin Vicente

This walmart is very organized. They have both entrances open. They have now switched to self check out for everyone. The customer service is good. I like that the clothes isnt messy. I do wish they had more children's shoes but that might just be all walmarts in general.

  • Maurice Robinson

I usually do self check out but there's an extra cashier in the cosmetic aisle. I startled her by saying hello because she was on sm. I put my pin in and stood there for 30 seconds and said hello because she was back in her phone again. Young ppl gonna be Young ppl …

  • Dexter Tech_Large

Decent retail store. They need to put the display furniture down low so the buyer can test it versus putting the furniture up high and I can't. Haha they were mad when I climbed up onto the platform but how can you expect me to buy a futon and I don't know how it feels.

  • Tiffie Johnson

The floor staff is very unpleasant & unprofessional with the items on hand. My niece asked four different workers for help while she shopped for wic items they all said we dnt know ask another worker just sad on so many levels. Not to mention she is disabled smh.

  • Phaedra

There are only 12 spaces for online order pick up. People who aren't waiting for orders park and leave their cars in the reserved spaces. I have been waiting 30 minutes to get my items brought out. I haven't seen any staff bring items out to ANY waiting cars.

  • Robert Pettitsr

I find it difficult in my senior years to do my own check-out. It tends to give me pain in my back , with all the bending. Some of the employees have noticed me struggling with the check out and taken up the job . I wish I could TIP them for there service.

  • Stephaine Fowlkes

It's a great store but online ads are not helpful. They will tell you to come to store to purchase something that you can only get online or they don't sell any longer. This needs to stop. It will only frustrate customers who value their time. Thank you!

  • Marilyn Curry

Great service found the aisle I needed to locate my items! From a stocker! Thanks to the great employees! Courtesy and Politeness! Ladies Restroom is clean! that's important to me! ALL EMPLOYEES WERE FOLLOWING PROTOCOL WEARING THE MASKS @ 83RD HOLLAND!

  • Gregory Levi

I was lucky enough to find the toys I was looking for and I like their watch selection, but the problem was Wal-Mart 's credit card. My first time using it and it wouldn't work. Even their Account Service couldn't fix the problem. I was very upset.

  • Keaylah Panelle

worst walmart in the nation!!!! reason 1. the electronics dept is perpetually out of stock! The staff is completely untrained in any way!!!! DONT GO...THEY DO NOT HAVE IT...whatever it is...they are out and will treat you bad in the process!!!!!!

  • John Lannoye

Yesterday I watched 4 teens fill their gym bags with pricey meat products and walk out the door. Literally hundreds of dollars worth of food … gone. When I advised a store associate, I was told the company policy was not to confront the thieves.

  • Kiesha Gill

Attendants are never available. Their coolers also seem to go out often but it's the only neighborhood Wal-Mart so it can be challenging to buy ingredients needed for dinner. I sometimes have to go through Instacart due to their lack of stock.

  • Ada Devonish

Great I found everything I needed. One stop shopping. New checkouts good; you don't have to worry about leaving items or someone taking your bags. There was a store representative at each checkout to help. Glad you reopened in my neighborhood!

  • Jeremy Banks

The shopping experience was fine. The store wasn't over crowded with patrons but I did notice one employee who wasn't properly wearing their mask. I made a comment to the employee and they properly placed their mask over their mouth and nose.

  • Paulette Wilson

This is my little hidden gem the only thing I hate is when you go there to pick up your item's people park's in the pickup area get out there car and go into the store that makes it so hard for people who is coming to pick up there items to

  • Joseph Radtke

Always great prices and organized. I wish I would have got the name of my cashier. She was extremely friendly and helpful. She must have seen me from a distance and recognized I was in a hurry, no wait what so ever. She deserves recognition.

  • Cinnimon Jones

This store is always freakn crowded, but I would have to say the cashier was nice and very courteous. But, when i got to the money center, it was unorganized and we had to stand in a line that wasn't moving at all. The workers were talking

  • Christy Míí'Angel

This one unprofessional, unfriendly terrible customer service skills environment. The staff here has no good work ethics. I came in asking for help on a table set which was over 40LBS in weight and i was waiting for literally 45mins before

  • Bianca Billins

I don't mind being short staffed but I do mind being misinformed I needed to use the photo kiosk which isn't in every location I called customer service because I am handicapped on a cane and with a leg brace to get accurate information I

  • Jasmin Dickson

This walmart is closest to my house. I really do not want to go out of my neighborhood when I have a convenience of just going three blocks away. When I need assistance there is never anyone around to help in the store. When you do find a

  • Nate Washup

This store would be much better if the level of professionalism were increased. Associates avoid you or give poor information when asked about a topic. The store itself is a gem for the south side location but it could use more parking.

  • Sheila E.

SELF CHECKOUT froze while trying to pay. Had to go to a cashier to re-ring the whole thing. Fix your self checkouts. You should have been able to retrieve the last order in the register, it's a computer. but the cashier's were pleasant.

  • Michelle Givens

Need to get employees that is serious about there job and willing to work. There shelves always empty the store is always cluttered everybody walking around talking or on there cell phone.i worked in retail for 30+years never gone to a

  • Darlene Williams

Worst service ever. Picking up a pock up order. Waited 40 minutes and still no one came. I called and they kept saying they was ok their way but no show. Even hung up on me when I asked for supervisor. First and last time ever here

  • Theresa Ware

The place was clean and organized. People were friendly and polite. I signed up to get electric at 6.7 cents at NRG for 3 months and got 20.00 gift card to Wal-Mart that I spent at checkout. No problem. It was a good day.

  • Stephen Cornelious

Most the times during the evening, the lines are ridiculous during the night stretching past their clothes aisles. Extremely longThey may have only 3 registers open with all these workers walking around. Poor management

  • tenisha g hardin

I normally don't shop this one. But to my surprise it was very well stocked for groceries. The only unfortunate thing is the prices of clothing has gotten extremely expensive there. Other than that It was a good visit.

  • Judy Dade

Employees were very helpful. Social distancing was good. The staff seem to be aware of the customer demand opening extra checkouts so we didn't have to wait so long. That's a big plus for me. I Will shop here again.

  • Prentice M2

Only good when you really need to get a last minute item or something very important. Long lines, few registers open, and the overall of the workers not really caring they are at work are a killer to this location.

  • telesiha greenlee

The staff is freaking awesome. It may sit in an urban area but the staff doesn't have attitudes like you made them work. They are always smiling and very helpful. You will want to ship there on a regular basis

  • Curtis Conley

Unfortunately, the Walmart great value brand is raising their prices every 2 weeks it seems. Inflation is every company excuse to price people out. Soon, great value brand will cost the same as "name brands".
