Experiencing racial discrimination from someone who, herself, appears and communicates as though she’s only arrived from India within recent weeks if not months is quite disheartening. Didn’t have my phone on me so had to run like 10 feet to ATM in self checkout line with no one behind me. She looked agitated by that alone but i go and get the money, pay for my 7-10 items, bag em up then decide i wanted a piece of candy. So i grab the candy bar and she comes up like “just one item?” as i’m putting the fifty cents in the coin slot and grabbing a dollar to put in the bills slot. She sees the other groceries already bagged up and immediately assumes I’ve bagged up all the groceries while only intending to pay for the single candy bar. I tell her i already paid for the other items. So she literally proceeds looking me up and down and says “where’s the receipt?” To which i thought i had on me but it was actually still in the machine. That’s how fast everything transpired. So she looks at the receipt and confirms that there is no foul play here whatsoever save her own. I may dress down at times, and yes I am of both African and European descent, but to be racially profiled (guilty on sight), after having served and retired from the US Army, honorably, having raised a family of 7 while also earning three college degrees up to my Masters and currently holding a 4.0 in my PhD program, obtaining my teaching certificate and serving the San Antonio community for three years as a high school teacher, and the only reason i’m even back in San Antonio after having relocated to California to be with my mom who had passed shortly after, is because I had drove back from Los Angeles to be with my daughter who was in the hospital. So i’m hanging out in the San Antonio area, in my van, where i can be close enough when she needs me but not too close to where she doesn’t start to feel like she’ll fall apart again once I head back. And then this employee wants to question my integrity because what? The color of my skin? Yeah yeah. TLDR. Whole life story. Need to vent somewhere somehow dealing with all the stress here and there. Would be nice to be able to purchase a few items without being watched and assumed a criminal.

I went to my local Walmart looking for some beach towels. I found some in the designated "clearance" section that I liked. I grab the 4 that I wanted, they did have some other ones marked down to $3.50. The ones I wanted didn't have a markdown price. I scanned the towels and they were coming up at $13.98. I asked the gentleman if he could tell me the original price to make sure I was getting them discounted since they were in the "clearance" section. He asked the manager to come over. She asked me what I needed and I explained to her. She told me that sometimes if they need space they put the stuff in the "clearance" section to make room. And that since it didn't have a yellow sticker she couldn't do anything about it and it also wasn't her section to override any price. So tell me Walmart, if you just randomly put things in the "clearance" section should you not honor a discounted price? Or are you just false advertising the items in the "clearance" section? And how does a manager not have the ability to override a price regardless of section the item came out of?

It's a Walmart super center. It advertised it had what I needed, so I went there and looked around and of course, they didn't have it. Staples did, so that was a plus. I wonder if I get to leave a review for Staples. Anyways, I did buy some candy, the type they are trying to outlaw in California due to its carcinogenic properties, so thanks Walmart, yum. That was semi sarcasm, I really shouldn't have bought it, I know better. And people, just stop allowing the people at the front to check your receipt. They have no right, you paid for your items, they took your money, and you owe them nothing but a goodbye. And dont use anything but cash in the self checkout, Walmart loves to make a few extra hundred million by falsely accusing people of theft months after you use a card at these, you cant prove anything by that time and they will make your life miserable. They lost a suit in the midwest, but you know that won't stop em.

I got in my car and pulled off went back and asked for a manager explained that I wasn’t told anything about closing after going back in forth for 10 mins they say she will be the last car my wait time now is 1.5-2 hours they pull my car back after 2 hours and 2 mins. Tell me I need to buy a new tire and I swear I believe they put a bigger hole in my tire I had a slow leak and what they showed me couldn’t have been it.the manager Xavier told me he ran my warranty on tread count he lied over charged me. Went back the next day when I found my receipt from last month when I had to get a tire and the price was much different. Awful experience I will never go back to this auto location. deceitful awful human beings work there.

I am here to roast Walmart. 8am Friday morning I show up at the auto center. One woman was there in front of me at the register. There were no cars in any bay. I had a flat tire and wheel in the back of my truck from my daughter's truck. I wanted to drop it off to get fixed. It was a tire I bought from Walmart. The guy at the register tells me that I need to make an appointment. The next available appointment is not until Sunday. I won't be in town Sunday. Can I drop off the wheel? No. One thing I have always liked about Walmart, is that if I am traveling, and have any tire issues, I could get it fixed at a Walmart. I guess that era is over. You can't squeeze one tire change in today? Bye Walmart. I will try as hard as I can in the future to never step foot in another Walmart. If you are not going to take care of me, I am not going to take care of you.

The store has a pretty good selection of clothing and very clean, but the cashier could use some additional training or perhaps just a conversation with. The gentleman at the register never made eye contact after I said hello, and my roommate even said hello and we got nothing in return. I noticed he had an ear bud on and I looked at his smart watch and noticed he was listening to music while assisting us. After we where don my roommate said have a good day, again no eye contact or acknowledgement. I don't know if the manager on duty is okay with that, because I noticed while shopping another three associates with ear buds on while working. Don't really know if this an associate or manager issue at this point. Could not give a higher score because of the experience with the associate. Self check out for me from now on.

Horrible & RACIST experience there with a self proclaimed manager by the name of EMILY. She would not let me pay my rent which I have been doing for 15 months now although my account was found by phone number. Wouldn’t even let my husband pay either and he had his ID. Emily gave us a very menacing smile and stated that’s the policy at every Walmart but I went down the street to another Walmart who gave me no issues. This same girl previously has declined payment on the register three times for no reason I left and came back got help by someone else and there was no issue. Emily might be a family member from someone who works here because she clearly does not know walmart protocol. Even showing a fake binder with this misinformation yet corporate said they are WRONG..

Walmart is Walmart. Some items are lower priced then other stores, some aren't. Bakery is good ..fruits and veg are usually decent. There are 2 things though I dislike: always short staff hard to find help..I waited 10 years it seemed like...well not really ..10 min one time & check out usually has 2 cashier's only open out of the 50 cashier isles (well not 50...but you get it)! Yes there's self check out ..but that's another story .. It never fails an item doesn't scan rt and you have to wait for help ...so frustrating ‍and be careful on your selection of meat I've seen dried up looking chicken, old looking as well..and meats as well. There are of course most of the time extremely nice staff once you get help...

You could choose any other Walmart and get better service than you will in this one. Somewhere along the way, they have forgotten what Sam Walton said about customer service. "EXCEED your customers' expectations. If you do, they'll come back over and over. Give them what they want – and a little more. Let them know you appreciate them." If you can't find something, 3 different employees will POINT 3 different directions. They are not going to actually take you to what your looking for. They will block the aisles stocking and wait for you to walk around. I do love the new layout of the store, it's just a shame they didn't retrain their employees while they were at it which surprises me since they are supposed to be the area training store.

This has to be one of the best Walmart Auto Centers! I was very impressed and satisfied with the friendliness, knowledge, and time Xavier took with me, an outer stater, to get me the best tires for my money. He had to order them, and told they wpuldcome in today 3/19/22. I was called, took my car in, greeted by Daniel, very friendly, knowledgeable, he also took his time in getting the paper work completed. Explained how to pickup my car and thanked me for allowing them to serve me.. Maria was also instrumental in answering my questions with kindness and professionalism. Thank you so very much to these group of outstanding associates

IF YOU ARE UBER EAT DRIVER, think twice before accepting a Walmart delivery. I only accepted one at this location, waited for 30 minutes, and no one showed up. I couldn't wait anymore and had to cancel it. This was my first and last Walmart delivery acceptance. Never again. I also work as an H-E-B runner, and they deliver orders within 10 minutes. Sometimes it takes 15 minutes. They show whether the destination is an apartment or a house and how many items there are before accepting. I tried Uber Eats Walmart delivery, they wasted my time. I won't take it again.I will accept Uber eats orders from restaurants but not from WALMART

Great Management and a very friendly and helpful staff to me and my wife. They were sensitive to our disability and accepting of our Maltese care dog, Ellie. Their wheel chair was fully charged and helped us get over to the dog food. I'm so glad they carry products that are against animal cruelty, are all organic, and are so healthy for your dog. We were relieved we didn't have to buy blue buffalo anymore because they have so many other premium options and the best one being Jinx. We have had Ellie for 10 years and we need her for 10 more! Thank you Walmart

Experience has gotten better. They made some changes and remodeled. The clothing department looks better and it seems as if they have more staff. Updates on the self checkout machines was a good improvement. Still having issues with having very few cash registers open. Self checkouts are good for 15 items or less, but a full cart, not so much. HEB is my preferred choice still. Better shopping atmosphere, better customer service, more registers open, they pack your items and have someone readily available to take your items to your car if you need some help.

Had a disgusting experience with the lying associates who tried to convince me after purchasing online through the store and receiving wrong size diapers for my child that I paid 7 dollars for a 36 dollar case of diapers. After simply trying to switch DUE to their mistake. On top of the 3 videos I have recorded of the same old lady watching the BLACK Families come in and miss actual theft caught on camera because she came to sit behind us as we came in. Will be contacting corporate since it’s impossible to reach a supervisor by phone

Man the workers here really need to have some customer service training!!! Super RUDE to say the least. Maria at the customer service center literally needs a new job. It’s sad when they let their personal issues interfere with how they perform at work. I get it if I can’t return an item if I don’t have the receipt but she didn’t have to be so rude when explaining it. Makes a person never want to shop at this Walmart. I was about to get more items but because of her I left the damn store. Sheeeeesh!!!!!

I was so worried I couldn’t get the item I came for today. The workers here are so helpful like Johnny Jimenez who went above and beyond to get me the exact item that I wanted to purchase. Thank you so much for the excellent customer service! Also to Matthew Duran for helping my husband get the item to the car and dissemble. I love my outdoor accent chair! Like I said above and beyond! I definitely prefer this Walmart, and will be back here because of my experience today! Thank you!!

This is not my home Walmart, but I stopped in here on my way to work today. I don't know who the store manager is, but they did an outstanding job on this store. They redesigned the whole thing to where it looks like a department store. The new displays look great and the staff were all working so hard. It was extremely organized and clean and I wish I had more time to walk around and see everything. I hope the other locations follow suit. Great job!!! Will be back soon!

Not surprised…what did I expect? I recently had a disappointing shopping experience at Walmart Supercenter. The long waits at the checkout lines were incredibly frustrating, and the lack of sufficient staff only seemed to exacerbate the problem. The customer service was subpar, with unhelpful and inattentive staff making the overall experience quite unpleasant. I hope the management addresses these issues promptly to improve the service for future customers.

The location of this Walmart is in a very nice area of San Antonio and so clean! The employees really seem to love their job, or at least do a great job pretending because almost everyone who worked there gave me some kind of caring greeting! The aisles are very well stocked, clear, and organized. I was just in the area and needed to stop in for a few items but I highly recommend anyone to choose this as there regular Walmart spot!

My complaint regarding an incident of discriminatory treatment I experienced at this location on 12/12/2/24. I would like to address the discrepancy in treatment I encountered based on my race. Upon exiting the premises, I was subjected to a check of my receipt by a staff member, specifically a blond lady at the front door, whereas two other customers, who were white and behind me in line, were not subjected to the same scrutiny.

I honestly avoid coming to this Walmart in particular at all costs. I only come here for things I can't get at another store nearby. The reason for this is that anytime I need assistance and ask for it at this Walmart I am not assisted. I have actually "chased" an employee down that heard me saying "excuse me" and just continued walking away. The employees at this particular location do not practice customer service.

The workers don't care. There's a lovely older lady in the front who is pleasant but everyone else could care less. We purchased velveeta Mac and cheese on 9/4/2022 and realized when cooking it that the cheese was chunky and dark yellow. We checked the packaging and sure enough it expired 12/2019! Shows how much they check their dates. Don't buy here if you're not diligent about checking your packaging!

This supercenter was decent. Not crowded at all. It seemed pretty clean and organized but admittedly we never went to the food section. Parking was not an issue despite it being the time of day that it should be packed. I would like to thank the rep working self checkout on the left side of the store at about 630pm on Wednesday evening for being patient and helpful with us.

I love this store. However, the AUTO department is less to be desired. I stopped in to get air in my tires. I sat in my car for over 10 minutes. There were 3 guys there, and they saw me waiting. There were no other vehicles or customers. Not one came out to address my presence or to say we'll be with be shortly. It would have taken 5 seconds. I finally left.

I went in tonight for some items and noticed that the music is extremely loud. Why? It's not even relaxing music, and I'm not elderly, autistic or have any audio sensitivity issues. I can't imagine how those people would feel. Lower the music. I didn't even get everything I needed because I was so annoyed, I just paid for what I had already grabbed and left.

This employee named Richard (tall, slender-like build, dark wavy hair, fair skinned)..... he was the best part of all my visits. Some may think it's because of his looks...nope. He is soooooo polite, well-mannered, knowledgeable, and helpful. Employees like that need recognition. On another note, I love the new look inside the store. There is more room

However, it sure would be nice if they would update and take gpay and apple pay, also, they need to train their employees more for everything they offer, like bluebird, for example, and like Walmart pay, and for scan and go....... Some of the employees have had no clue about anything regarding these things they offer.

They have a good selection of items and I have always been able to find the grocery items, etc. that I needed here. It’s also a better Walmart than other Walmarts in the area (such as the one in Helotes that seems to have issues with screaming customers/possibly poorly behaved teenagers). Walmart on 1604 is a good place to shop.

Never have enough registers open and you better check the expiration date on any food you buy there. Take a look at their newly renovated electronic section. Stopped to see if they had a cover for my iPad. Saw this mess. Opened cover boxes thrown in all together in a pile. Smh Turned around and left. Boarder line ghetto

I come here quite often and can almost always find what I am looking for in a variety of different products. It’s a well organized store and very clean my only issue is the employees. Whenever I ask someone for help they always do the bare minimum of helping me (and that’s if I can even find an employee).

This location has friendly staff and is very clean. The isles are well organized and are never overly crowded. The parking lot is also clean and does not have weird people loitering. They have converted more lanes to self checkouts so it's not as hard to get in and out.

We got everything we needed. The aisles and parts of the floor were wide. I'm not used to that from a Walmart. I know some of the areas was probably open for displays but overall I was impressed about how wide the aisles were.

Every time I go. Shelves aren't stocked. And when you try to talk to employees they ignore you or say they don't know or even when they page them to a department it's a chance your taking on them showing up or not.
