I normally come here for a lot of my shopping needs. But after today's incident I have to post this. It changed my mind from a 4 star rating to a 1 star. Today around 5:15pm I slipped on ice and fell really bad. Luckily my sister was with me to help me up and we were both so lucky that a customer was near by. After I got up, I was in a lot of pain, but a snow angel asked if I was okay. She immediately got a basket to cover where the ice was and than spoke to a staff member to inform the sidewalk needs to be salted. I went into customer service and told the lady working there, I slipped out front on ice and it needs to be dealt with so no one else slips. After she told me I could not do my return, I accepted that politely and than she informed me someone would go de-ice the property. I did not hear her page anyone, nor did she ask if I was okay even when she could see me limping. I just want to thank the lady who stopped to help me and asked if I was okay. I was dazed and confused and did not get her name or the chance to thank her. Walmart staff, I hope you have cleared that ice situation up so no one else gets hurt! I took pictures of how the ice was when I left. No one took care of it and hopefully it has been dealt with since than. I tried to post the picture with this review it didn't let me so it's added to their photos.

I went to Walmart on 130th today with my elderly mom, who has a discount card. She proceeded to hand the cashier her discount card at which point the cashier took out her phone and took a picture of my mom's card without any explanation. The only reason I knew what happened was because my mom caught her doing and told me. After that, the cashier asked for my mom's credit card and was just about to take a picture of it when I told her to stop and that she did not have permission to do so. She said she had to and started arguing with me. I asked her to give my mom her credit card back and that's when I started filming because I was not sure what was going on. That's when the cashier said "don't take my photo" and began yelling in the store. This is highly unacceptable and inappropriate. I'm thankful that I had the day off to go with her today. She probably wouldn't have said anything and God forbid that her Mastercard had been used inappropriately. If there were any concerns, it would have been nice for the cashier to communicate those to me. Instead, they chose to just start taking pictures of my mom's ID and M/C on their personal cell. It was an absolutely crazy experience. I expect better from the Walmart franchise.

The word normal is disappearing from our vocabulary. Is it unreasonable for me to think I should be able to understand English with someone I try to deal with in a customer service position at a Walmart. If you can not speak english properly why would you make them talk with customers. Most would fail a CLBA test which should be mandatory for all customer service positions in this country. Picking up groceries from this local has been increasingly worse. Lazy pickup employees fighting who is going to take out the groceries while customers wait. Playing games with customers is unacceptable and reason I will not go here. Parking pickup has moved and your subject to employees foot traffic walking a foot beside your car taking short cuts to the same entrance as the employees entrance. The pickup apps stinks and I always end up calling in and waiting. Stupid and unorganized system of revolving doors and a stressful busy parking lot. Shop Canadian people!!

Had worst experience today. I have visited the store today mid afternoon and it was crazy with only 4 cashier lanes open and absolutely worst front end lane management and it was nice seeing manager Front End manager talking to some other college when I have asked for the badge to see her name she dined it and I waited over 25 mins for a price check and then someone showed up and she has absolutely no respect for the elderly customer and very rude behaviour on my way out I have asked for her name at CSD Desk and informed me her name was ( Manager Arvinder ). Management should take this seriously before they start loosing regular customers. Please respect your customer. Absolutely terrible person to deal with and very egotistical behaviour.

I had a problem with a photo order I had placed online and was asked by the national photo centre to take my prints to the store and have the associate call the national centre to confirm the issue. I met with Walmart associate Shreya in photo department at the Walmart at 130th Ave in Calgary. Shreya listened intently as I explained my issue. She explained a way the issue could be corrected and within the hour I was shopping at Walmart and my problem was solved. I was very impressed with this young lady and with the decisive and practical steps she took to solve my problem. Bravo Shreya, I am very thankful I was able to have you assist me. I’ll be back to Walmart photo centre soon!

This Wal mart is close to my area , that is why I go there . I have the worst experiences there while checking out. I have better experiences at busier Wal marts , like heritage and Marlborough. Every time I leave I feel sick with the dis respect I experience. I am aboriginal and I feel when checking out at any till their eyes are watching me. And they stand in all directions. Today I went there and there were 2 employees standing beside me watching my every move , meanwhile there was a line of people waiting to use the check outs. I don't recommend this Wal mart at all , it is a very racist and judgemental place to shop. I will be driving the extra km for a better experience.

Pretty decent walmart. Quite unimpressed with the cashier this morning. Kept pushing me to sign up for the Mastercard the entire time, saying I need it and it doesn't make sense for me not to get it. I am quite pregnant and had to bag 5 recycle bags myself while she consistently urged me to get it. After politely saying "not today" for what felt like 100 times, I just decided to ignore her and stop answering, which didnt seem to stop her surprisingly lol. This experience doesn't make me want to come back here for a huge shop again. Not sure if she gets points or money for getting people to sign up, but pestering the customer is definitely not the way to go about it.

My review is not about this location as my overall shopping experience at this store is okay. I’m so disappointed by the online ordering system.I placed an order for a bed frame on May 19,2021 and I got a BIKE delivered to my home instead.So I had to contact customer service and as their advice for faster refund, I took the bike to the store and returned it. Meanwhile I placed another order for the same Bed Frame and now it’s lost in transit!What’s happening?Is this because item were on sale and now price went up? It appears to me someone doesn’t know how to do their job in the warehouse. Frankly I will think twice from now before order anything online from Walmart.

This morning I quickly went in to see if they had any Christmas shirts. There was very little selection and I left. When I left empty handed I was stopped at the door. The man blocking the door said “do you have anything?” Surprised bc I had nothing in my hand other than my phone and wasn’t wearing anything that could hide something.. To which I replied no and he said I needed to go back through the checkout area. He would not let me walk out of the store physically blocking me in. Not wanting to cause a scene I did it but I did not appreciate being accused of stealing and blocked from exiting. This specific Walmart has really gone down hill.

Cashiers as of this week will not help you to bag your grocery... I always asked for help more after the switch to the new bags... they were nice before... I have a big cart so i can not do a self check out... I needed help... the infrastructure is not like superstore were you have that long space for you to bag... hence that is way I do not like superstore... but after today I might consider going back there... no help bagging... no infrastructure to do it and rude people... Wal-Mart... you are losing me... you might do not care but I do... anyway... bad experience today... not recommending this place... all the sudden bad cashier experience

On a regular basis there are employees standing around in clusters visiting. Yet I have to go around them with my cart? I am aware of who the manager is and that is who sets the example. This location is notorious for dirty baskets and could barely keep up during the pandemic. The self-check has irregular hours in the mornings for some reason. Even when self-check is available why aren't they all being used? Seems like a waste of money for Walmart. Meanwhile customers are lined up because the staff member has been instructed not to open any more. Take a page out of the Shawnessy store. It's bright, well organised and staff seem to care.

It is walmart, I get it, I am not looking for the red carpet treatment. However, the staff at this location are extremely rude, the manager tried to accuse my wife of stealing only to realize he made a mistake. No apology nothing, too busy talking with a co-worker and being rude. Very disorganized and poorly managed. I went in to speak with the fellow after my wife came home crying and if it weren't for being a family man with kids I would have clocked this jerk for his attitude and reaction to me politely asking him what had happened. Avoid this Walmart, I now use the one in Shaugnessy, even if it is 15 minutes away instead of 5.

The store could use a facelift. It was like walking into a Walmart 10 years ago (and the wear and tear showed it). Staff made me uncomfortable to shop and I felt I was being followed and watched. I understand loss management, but they took it to a new level. Instead of asking if I needed help finding something…they stalked me. The prices are no longer competitive…they raised prices once they knocked out competitors (Sportchek alike) Reason for 1 star is because my checkout experience was expedient, and I didn’t have to use a machine. I don’t think I have reason to go back.

Terrible experience. I had to leave the store after waiting so long for someone to come help me unlock a case. The old man in the entertainment section was puttering around having personal conversations with people while being the only employee in the section. Multiple people needed things opened and rung up and he was taking his time. I didn’t even purchase what I came in for. I found it and waited almost 15 minutes in the tiny section without being approached I had to grab multiple employees to ask them to open it and all disappeared and never returned.

My both kids experienced the worst customer service at McDonald's in This Walmart. Everytime they go they get kicked out and yelled at and they're friends experience racism. They have been yelled at by drunk ladies and asked to leave by the workers even though they didn't do anything. They target teenagers and don't let them enjoy their time. They buy food and eat so it's not like they are just sitting there. If they don't want teenager then they should out up a sign saying do instead of not letting them sit and eat with their friends. It's really shame

The McDonald's there isn't that great 30 min wait for my order( there were only two others ahead of us)and they missed my son's drink( paid an extra 30 cents for chocolate milk)and gave my boyfriend the wrong burger with only one person working who knew what was going on and what was still needed he was very sweet and apologized for the long wait. Walmart it's self was good aside from having to track down an employee( ended up going to a different department all together to find someone) to report a broken product in the toys department.

I have a back injury and asked for a cart from the greeter. She gestured to me to pull one out and when I tried it wouldn't go. I apologized and told her I have an injury and she just smacked her gum and said "that include your arms?" Like yes?? I don't know how other people pull but I put my shoulders into it and that cart was jammed in there. I normally never interact with anyone here but if anyone with "invisible injuries" wants to shop here just be aware of the treatment you'll get from the staff. It just soured my mood so fast.

Pretty good selection of everyday items. Don’t know why they added all the self serve kiosks if they are not going to open them. Was told by an employee they don’t have the manpower to open all of them. I didn’t know you needed more than one employee to watch over the machines. Also the manholes on the east end near the condo building emits a strong sewer smell and definitely needs to be cleaned out. Informed a manager of this but nothing has been done. Smell Is also strong at the entrance depending on the wind direction

Unprofessional Front End Manager / CSM JEN Behaviour Absolutely bad management Worst Experience. Terrible Cashier line and so called express checkout that takes 20 mins to checkout . I was visiting this store from last March and never had any issues regarding line up but from April of this year it just got worst. I was at Walmart on Saturday picking up a few things and was excited to see Biore strips on sale. However on the yellow sales tag it didn't show the original price. So looking behind the yellow tag I see the original price which was $1.50 CHEAPER than the posted sale price! Mistakes happen in which case staff should be more attentive to what they are "marking down". This situation makes me very wary of sale prices and I will consider shopping at another location because of this experience.

The lady at the self-checkout was WAY too pushy trying to sell ne the Walmart MasterCard. My Husband told her no and then proceeded to ignore him and then ask me. I said no as well and she kept leaning on my cart starring at me still going on about it and I said no again. We proceed to pay and leave and she comes up to us again going on about all the perks of this MasterCard. Like holy heck we already both said no politely, please be equally respectful and back off when someone says no!

I went in on December 3rd, and the employee at the self check out was so aggressive and rude to our family. He wanted us to get the Mastercard but when we told him no he continued to get mad at us, we ignored him at first but he was so consistent with harassing us that it scared my 7 year old daughter and made her cry. We put down everything we had and just left. I refuse to shop at Walmart especially this one because of their constant harassment over these Walmart Mastercards.

It has everything I need and don’t need! I mostly order online and have them bring out my order, I find that I spend less money that way on the things I don’t need. ;) I never have any issues with this and if they substitute something it’s always for something better. There are certain items I don’t want substitutes for and I uncheck the box when ordering or if I forget then you can let them know when they bring your order out and they will remove it from your order.

The "associates" are less than helpful. When I asked the associate if there was more than one section for salad dressing's I was told no. Upon further searching for the precious Renèes it was found in the produce section. When I returned to the same associate I was given a whole bunch of attitude and told that was produce and not grocery. Walmart do better at training your employees, it's not like I was asking for car parts in the grocery section.

The employees were not empathetic at all and did not try helping. They couldn’t do anything about my return so she just said “next” in front of me without even trying. They sold me a gift card that wasn’t working. If you can’t sell a gift card that works or valid, then don’t sell them at all. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have always been shopping in this walmart but this is the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had.

I've been using Walmart pickup for a while, the service used to be good and convenient but my recent experiences have been disappointing. The waiting times have been unreasonably long. Highly dislike and I try not to shop here often. The shelves are always poorly stocked, the grocery department is chaotic, the pricing is not always changed effectively, the self check out staff are rude, the cashiers are better, but overall experience is definitely needing major improvements. Would rather go to a different Walmart in all honesty.

The bags have been removed from self checkout and they won't let you use the basket to load into your car. It sounds dumb but make sure you grab a cart if you're getting more than you can carry in your arms. 3 different employees watched me juggle my groceries out to the car because I made the mistake of using a hand basket. Learn from me. ☮️

I bought a pair of Airpods for my son and they didn't work. A week later when I went to return them, the manager accused me of trying to return different Airpods that were purchased elsewhere. It was extremely embarrassing. When they finally realized I wasn't trying to pull a fast one, they grudgingly gave me a refund. Terrible experience.

Thank you to the young woman that I spoke to in Jewelry at the 130th Ave location. I phoned the department today to try and find someone to adjust the links on a watch. I was informed Walmart no longer provides the service, but The Bay might. They do. I think this represents exceptional customer service and I am grateful for her help.

The staff is always super kind and helpful, they will always chat with my kids who love to have chit chats with new people. The produce is always fresh, we can 8/10 times find what we want or need. The pharmacy where I spend a huge portion of my time being chronically ill is is staffed by knowledgeable, kind, caring people.

The turn over on employees is pretty high so there's almost always new people who are figuring out the store and at this point maybe the customers know the store better than their employees. The store layout could be better and the international food section could be bigger. It feels very limited for a store in 2019

I visited this place for the first time to grab school supplies for my son in September. I really liked the place and it’s huge. It’s well organized and clean. I also shopped in the electronics section and the guy there helped me with the selection of the headphones. Nowadays I am going every week for groceries.

They now purposely close the self checkouts at 9pm. So if you shop late and want to scan and bag your own stuff don't go here. I had asked an employee who works there and they confirmed it was the managers decision to do this. June 20 update: Now they close at 10pm instead of 11pm...Just gets better. Not!

Nice place to do your shopping. It is well organized and the staffs are friendly. The only issue is if you go shopping after 8pm you will have to self checkout which makes it difficult if you have a full shopping cart with lots of different items in it because you have to scan all the items your self.

If you want anything that’s locked up be prepared to wait for someone to bring a key. After waiting 40 minutes and 4 pages for a key for the electric razors and still no one came. we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. No one is willing you help you there other than paging someone.

Saw kayak on sale for $50 down from $200 went to go buy it it rang up for $150. Manager came and told me it was $100 with a tiny little written price on it. Let them know they aren’t marking their items properly and manager didn’t care and said they weren’t going to do anything.
