Most long distance taxis to various destinations are found there! Taxis to Eastern Cape, KZN, Mpumalanga, North West, Northern Cape, etc. And the are lot of mobile hawkers selling different items moving from taxi to taxi while they are still stationed! You can grab anything from cellphones charging items such as cables, and earphones etc, also they sell Neil clips, cold soda drinks and bottled water and snacks and airtime, in case your in a hurry and forgot your charging cables they are of great help!! Hope this information will help anyone who need to visit the place or Planning to catch long distance taxis.

Well, I slept at the Wanderers Taxi Rank, in a taxi (paid R40), together with other passengers who were meant to go to different destinations, including Mozambique. I got there at 20:00 only to discover there was no more taxis to Volksrust. I am including the above narrative to base the rating I am about to make. Wanderers Taxi Rank is to some extent safe. I just hope that people who are responsible for running it make it easy for stranded passengers to find a secure place to sleep while waiting for the first taxi of the following morning. I also appreciate the job that has been done to make sure that not just any bogus taxi Marshall get to take chances with passengers.

Wow,the rank itself is a jungle make sure that you know your directions very well ahead of time otherwise you may sell your soul to a hungry tout!Walk fast and look furious enough to deter predators of the City of Gold! Find yourself a rude taxi marshall and ask him if the taxi is full with a stern face then he will treat you nice with respect. Off you go out of Joburg very cheaply!

You can get taxis to most parts of the country in other provinces and also outside the country (e.g Swaziland). It's a very dirty place that smells and has big rodents running around. There are also a lot of people selling different items of which some have a questionable source. The taxi drivers and the taxi staff are friendly and accommodating and they also provide a bit of a sense of 'security' when you're at the place. Carry extra money as you might have to pay extra for your luggage (if you have a big bag or heavy luggage). It's a convenient long distance taxi rank as it is very busy.

Wanderers is a very important taxi rank as it is at a strategic area in the City and serves the diaspora traveling either to other cities or around Urban center.Problem is that the rank is not well maintained.There is less crime but can be extremely violent in the worst days as fighting for routes makes commuters find an alternative transportation such as rail transport which is cheaper and safer though a bit slow to those who are rushing.That place needs a bit of renovation.Advantage is it's closest to a mall.Toilets are a huge problem that needs to be looked into seriously..

The rank has some people who are helpful and despite the overall waves of crooked people trying to deceive unwitting travelers passing through there is safety from the taxi drivers. The rank itself is filthy beyond words. I've despised the condition ever since I first set foot there in 2009 as a young boy, there is no cleaning or maintenance of the area. Park station itself next to the rank barely also meets standards. The rank is appalling, from the trash everywhere to the stink of urine and the overall feel of being observed by the criminal element.

Wanderers boasts numerous taxis servicing nearly all provinces and towns in South Africa. Even destinations like Venda in Limpopo are accessible. The service operates consistently, even on public holidays. However, the challenge lies in maintaining hygiene. I had a nice experience with taxi drivers, Yes taxi drivers!! Was waiting for my sister in law as she was comfrom Malelane, as I was waiting two friendly taxi drivers came and asked me if I was fine and showed me where to stand in order to be safe. The offered me what they were drinking and borrowed me their phone to call my sis in law as I had ran out of airtime until she arrived.

It’s a hub of public transport .. the park station is also just there , trains and busses available.. there is the taxi rank side also .. buzzing with sellers, commuters, good and bad people… transportation to all parts of the South African region is available, Botswana, Eswatini, Cape Town , Malawi, Namibia, Zambia and all the provinces and cities. Due care is advised..

Crowded, security is not visible, very busy and untidy , good thing about the place is that it has public transport that connects to all 9 provinces and neighbouring countries. It can be overwhelming for foreign visitors navigating on their own, NB : not everyone who offers help with directions is a good person , be cautious

It wasn't difficult to find a taxi to my destination, but be vigilant with the people asking to carry your bags and ask if they go show you the taxi you want cos it's not free, they want you to pay them and if you don't they will harass you. Just carry your own bags and ask taxi drivers which taxi to take.

This place is busy with vehicles and human traffic and has the potential to be safer should the authorities see the need. Transport is abundant, but then, with such a buzz of people, caution should be observed always. Look out for your goods, children, and valuables.

I gave it three stars because it is next to Park Station and you find taxis to the entire West Rand and long distance. I don't like the untidiness in the area. The taxi management must hire people who would ensure the environment is always clean and hygienic.

The place is not bad but it very busy many activity and me I went there to catch a bus to Maputo Mozambique, and the bus cost R460, and I enjoy the trip it almost 6h , the place I like most nice view it mbombela. the huge mountain and very nice place.

This is where you find almost all your long distance taxis Limpopo, KwaZulu-Natal and many more. The rank is safe and clean and there are toilets there too. The rank is near KFC and chicken licken in case you want to buy a meal for the road.

It's busy, very stressful being there you gotta make sure your belongings are safe. Hold on to your bag ladies really tight. Always remember to have small money out incase you wanted to buy fruit or veggies, not your wallet. Beware please.

The rank is now clean and not congested like before. The only issue are those people who waits on the gates trying being nice to people whilst misleading them and some end up being mugged and robbed their things and their hard earned cash.

It was good no matter i have be there for more than 10 years. But it still look the same. And i saw people of many tribe from different countries are one united sharing same food and other thinhs. But traffic is still the same but good.

The taxi rank is big unlike others and is located in a convenient place, there is so much shops close by, toilets in case you want to use one, and there is almost each and every taxi you would want including long distance taxis.

This is a good transport interchange station for vehicles going to limpopo, mpumalanga and etc. Keep your luggage safe whenever you walking and don't just let anybody help you because chances of being fooled are high.
