Delicious, healthy meals and amazing customer service! Though I love to cook, this year I made the decision to outsource most meal prep so I could focus on family time and career. I highly value healthy eating and am an adventurous foodie, so the quality of the ingredients, overall flavor, and variety in cuisine were all important to me, and I am consistently satisfied with Westerly's meals. The meals heat up in 2 minutes, enabling my family to have true quality time together before dinner. They provide cuisine inspired by a variety of locales- Korean, Indian, Ethiopian, Syrian, Italian, etc- and somehow find a way to season their dishes enough to reasonably satisfy those that normally enjoy those cuisines, while keeping the spices modest enough to avoid putting off those with more sensitive palates, ie my 3 year old. I love easing my daughter into different cuisines by sharing some of my Westerly dinner. If something goes awry with your order, they go above and beyond to make it right. Westerly has been a game changer for my family this year and I highly recommend giving it a try!

I really wanted to love this, but I just can’t. The meals were definitely not worth the $18 per meal. 1/4 cup of granola, less than 1/4 cup of watermelon and a 1/2 cup yogurt for $18 dollars- that’s breakfast. That must some super fancy stuff considering I could have bought a bag of granola, a carton of yogurt and a whole watermelon for 18 bucks. Salad for lunch was good, but not $18 dollars good. Comparable to a $10 premade at Trader Joe’s. Two turkey meatballs, 1/2 cup rice and 1/4 cup squash is dinner… For $18? The food cost on these meals is less than $2-3. The vegetable portions were very small, which is critical if you are looking to drive a healthy diet. As far as I can see, the meals do not meet basic dietary requirements for vegetables and the protein was definitely not 4 oz worth. Also you can’t exclude types of meat- I don’t eat pork, yet there was no way I found to exclude pork. If you know how to cook/ can do basic food prep, live near a grocery store or care about nutrition, you would do better looking elsewhere.

My partner started getting meals delivered from a company called Factor. I tried a few and they were decent but also pretty unhealthy.. lots of saturated fat and salt. Unlike him, I need to worry about my cholesterol. So, I did research on all the meal delivery services and came across Westerly. 1 week in and… I’m a fan and ordered my 2nd week. - Very tasty meals (the lunch salad dressings they make are AMAZING). - The food is healthy and I feel good. - They split each week into 2 deliveries so the food stays fresh. - Good customer service and thoughtful- they will pick up your ice packs and bags to reuse them. Only other thing that I will mention is that if you exercise each day, you will need more calories than 3 Westerly meals. I use Westerly for my “core” meals (breakfast / lunch / dinner) but I eat lots of snacks in between. I think if I was trying to lose weight or be slim that would be a non-issue. However I’m trying to eat healthy and gain weight. Something to keep in mind.

Even though I was sold after the very first meal, I decided to try this for at least a week before writing a review. This is by far the BEST meal prep service in the Greater Seattle Area. The food is not only healthy, convenient and fresh - it tastes very good(no kidding I could never make most of the meals they deliver myself). I was particularly looking for a local meal prep company as opposed to large nationwide ones because I was worries about freshness. Westerly has not disappointed. The meals are very fresh and you can tell a great deal of care was put into all of the ingredients and the meals on the menu. I was also unsure of the lunch salads because I do not like vegetables (:D) - but wow I am blown away - the salads are so good and yummy. I am eating a lot more vegetables (healthy -- yeay!)and I am always excited to try the different salads they serve. Look no further - this is it.

The constant question of "what's for breakfast, lunch, dinner" has plagued our quarantine existence. Working from home full time does not allow for a lot of time to create elaborate meals, and while I love cooking, I decided to pretend like I'm a celebrity and hire a private chef! My dreams of having a private chef prep all my meals quickly cam crashing down when I saw price tags for similar services at about 350-500$ a week...Until I found Westerly! I am so happy I found this place! The meals are affordable, delicious and overall amazing, very fresh, and portioned properly. I love not having to think about meal prep and the fact that all the containers they use are compostable. Added bonus of a great user friendly website, easy ordering and getting a text message when my food arrives. Guilt free, no dishes to wash and one less decision to make in a day :) Highly recommend them.

Wow, I am so impressed with this company. I have tried many meal prep/food delivery services and this is the ONLY one that hits every mark for nutritious, delicious, good portion size, reliable delivery, ease of clean up, and sustainability. The meals are 100% prepared but are still amazingly fresh, thanks to the twice weekly delivery. I love that I don’t have a bunch of boxes to break down or ice packs to dispose of as they reusable bag/ice packs are picked up, cleaned, and reused by the company. You can choose from two menu options (plant-based vs wellness). There aren’t many options for meal customization which isn’t a problem for me since I’m not a picky eater and I think the limited options are what allow them to maintain the high quality of their meals. It’s as close to a personal chef that I can afford :) I am so happy to have found Westerly!

I've been receiving Westerly Kitchen meals for a couple months and there are so many benefits! I don't love cooking and this is like having the personal chef I've always wanted. I've tried a few prepared meal delivery services and Westerly is the best so far by a lot. Actual freshly prepared meals, varied and flavorful recipes, single serving (but nice and large for one) meals, healthier choices, literally painless delivery. Easy and low commitment way to explore new healthy spins on old favorites, plant based meals and whole food variety. I personally appreciate that the menu is set each week for me, I eat better when someone else makes the decisions. It's also worth the cost for me and my needs.

Whether you’re selecting from the healthy meat inclusive wellness plan or healthy plant based meal plan, they are all delicious. Prepared with fresh ingredients, the meals are hard to resist and beautiful to look at. My favorite may be a toss up between the gourmet breakfasts and deliciously filling salads, but I’ve yet to try anything that I didn’t want to have, again. A family owned business, Kerala Co. seems to be run by people who genuinely care, not just about helping you eat healthfully, but about the general community they serve. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. Definitely the best meal delivery in Seattle.

My husband and I have been ordering Westerly since the beginning of the pandemic. We both WFH and could never settle on a meal plan that worked with our individual food restrictions (I was vegan at the time, he was allergic to a range of foods)—until we found Westerly! The people at Westerly don't even bat an eye at our laundry list of food restrictions, and their substitutes are just as delicious! If something is missed or overlooked, their customer service immediately addresses any issue. It's worth it alone to order here simply for the people behind the company. Also! The food is DELICIOUS!

Five stars, and if I could give five and a half I would! I’ve been nothing but impressed with all the meals I have eaten, even when I thought maybe it wasn’t for me. Personally, I enjoy their salads and soups the most, but both their breakfast and dinner options are awesome as well! Before subscribing to this service, I never really ate breakfast, but they just make it too easy! I have also been able to get into much better shape by not eating out at restaurants or unhealthy meals at home. I would definitely suggest giving this food service a try, you won’t regret it!

I've tried other meal prep/food delivery services (Trifecta, Hello Fresh, etc...) either you have to make the meals yourself or they are premade but little better than what you get in the frozen isle at the grocery store. The only way to do this right is to make it locally and Westerly makes great tasting, fresh, healthy food that's ready to eat! I work full time while going to school full time so not having to think about getting or preparing food at all is worth every penny and then some!

This is BY FAR the best meal delivery option in Seattle. I get the lunches and dinners on the Wellness menu and every week is different but EVERY meal has been so filling and fresh. I've tried literally all of the other big services (both prepared meals and meal kits) and Kerala co is where I'm going to stay. They make the meals locally in Seattle and deliver twice a week with a super cute bag and text you when it's delivered. Love it, can't stop talking about it to my coworkers hah!

This company is the epitome of the perfect business. For all the reasons listed, but mostly for allowing me to enjoy local food, celebrating international cuisine and culture in my kitchen every night. And it is healthy food that tastes as fresh as it were served in a restaurant. Bless these people. They work really hard. Let's hope their success doesn't lead to selling to a conglomerate that widdles away their customer service and quality of their food. We can only pray!

I tried Westerly out for a week and the operation seems pretty solid. The meals arrived on-time and were cold when I brought them inside. However, the packaging could use some care. They use plastic tops to cover the food and the icepacks that were placed on top snapped the plastic. The food is very healthy and you definitely get a diverse set of fresh ingredients, but overall, it was lacking flavor. For $17 a meal the portion/taste is not what I was expecting.

Absolutely 5-STAR. First, their meal quality is very good. Each one looks like well prepared take-out from a quality kitchen. Veggies are fresh, not soggy. Meat is tender never fatty. Second- their customer service is fantastic. Anytime I've had a question or needed help with an order, they will always answer via call/text. They are on the pricier side (average $15/Meal), but the time saved, dishes saved, and food quality more than makes up for it.

The delivery process was nice but the meals were always somewhere between okay and disgusting. The chicken had that dirty taste of dark meat. Everything was bland. Turkey meatballs seem to have been made of 99% lean turkey so they were tough and rubbery. Scrambled eggs weren’t cooked evenly. At a cost of around $17 per meal this service is extremely overpriced. Sucks because I really thought I’d found a long term solution.

My husband and I have ordered Westerly Kitchen multiple times off and on since 2021, and have never experienced a better fresh food delivery company. At this point, I don't even bother looking at the menu when ordering because I know everything they deliver will be outstanding and enjoyable by both of us. The quality of the food is fresh, superior, and never disappoints. Couldn't highly recommend Westerly more!!

I must say, the meals are delicious. This is my first attempt of ordering food from a prep service, and it's by far better than what you'd purchase from Trader Joes or Whole Foods. It may cost a tad more, but worth it. The salads are green, crisp and NOT brown and slimy. That's a pet peeve of mine, and not once have I had to sift through each leaf and eliminate the bad. Westerly....now part of my weekly routine.

Great service! I've tried Freshly, Hello Fresh, Blue Apron, and other auto-meal-delivery services in the past. This fresh, local option is so much better. No thawed out, watery meals. No unbelievably wasteful packaging. The meals are clearly labeled telling you which specific meal to eat for which meal on which day. The customer service is responsive in a way only locally owned companies can do. A+, sign up.

This is the best company for pre-made meals. My husband and I have tried many different companies both pre-made and meal prep types where we'd have to cook. They keep the flavors fresh, use quality ingredients, have compostable containers, and deliver consistently and on time. My co-workers have complimented the dinner meals that I bring for lunch and have food envy. Go with Kerala Co. They won't disappoint.

My husband and I have been using Westerly for several months now and we absolutely love the food. The quality of the salad bowls is probably some of the best we’ve had. We love that the recipes keep changing and that’s not an easy thing to do for a plant-based meal plan. I’ve got in touch with them several times to add dietary requirements and they’ve always accommodated my request. Highly recommend them.

Just do it! I spent a TON of time (literally hours) trying to find the best meal service, and tried several before this. None came close to the quality, freshness, or tastiness of westerly. In addition to that, you feel great after you eat it bc it's all healthy. Im so happy I found this service and anyone who is busy looking for a weekday meal solution should try this service! You won't regret it!!!

Very fresh, and my goodness how good it feels ro have compostable containers and friendly responsive people coordinating it all. I like when they adventure and make Latin/Asian food. Also very responsive if you need to suspend membership for travel. I really have only nice things to say about this meal delivery service and am glad to have discovered them. Makes being healthy easy and fun.

This is the fourth meal delivery service I've tried, and it is by far the best. The food is fresh and tasty. I am taking off one star because I can't find calorie information. I've sent in the request for this information twice, but have not received a reply :( Dear Westerly, start providing calorie counts for your meals and I will bump up this review to the full 5 starts!

The food is great, and it's nice to get variety without having to think about it. Truly the best meal delivery service I've tried I have two requests: (1) it would be awesome if the ice packs and insulated bags from prior deliveries could be picked up to be reused (2) it would be nice to opt out of one or two specific meals that appear frequently, but i am not a fan of.

This is such a great company, with high quality food, easy ordering system and healthy options delivered right to you. A dear friend gifted westerly to me during a trying time in my life and the prepared food fueled me and took one less thing off my plate to worry about. I’ll be paying this forward to others and continue ordering from Westerly! Very impressed!

I've tried so many meal delivery services and Westerly is by far the best. Delicious, fresh, & healthy meals delivered with amazing customer service. Lots of variety in the flavor of meals (even the salads). The portions are just right for me - big enough that I feel satisfied, but small enough that I never feel like I'm over doing it. So happy I found them!

This is exactly what I've been needing! The food is delicious, it's healthy, and well balanced, and the portions are perfect. Also extremely convenient, they deliver to your home, and there is no cooking or preparation needed. I also love that there is zero waste since all the packaging is either compostable or reused by westerly. I'm hooked!

Tried out about 2 weeks worth of Westerly food and it was beyond amazing! Everything from the customer service response time, delivery notifications, and meal quality were top notch. Definitely give them a look if you are looking for local pre-made meals, you will not be disappointed! Will definitely have to order more once this set is done.

Hands down the best meal delivery service I've ever tried. Meals are as high quality, fresh, and delicious. I keep being more and more impressed with each meal I get, and the variety is fantastic. They are also very accommodating with special requests and food sensitivities without sacrificing quality and flavor.

After trying several meal plans, I am a new Westerly convert! I love the freshness and quality of the ingredients! I am a foodie and also love to cook, but some recent life changes have left me with less time to shop and cook and Westerly makes fueling myself with healthy food so much easier. Love love love.
