It really does seem like there’s an overall bad service attitude at this mall. No matter what shop you go to you will be faced with workers that don’t want to assist or they generally just don’t have knowledge about what they’re selling in some shops. The overall mall just never has stock for ANYTHING especially if it’s clothing, shoes, electronics and some food items in Woolworths. I went to the mall to buy a specific SIM card package and they told me they don’t have stock until Wednesday??? Who is buying SIM cards everyday kanti . I think the only shops that have good service is Mr Price Home, Numetro (since we buy tickets ourselves lol), John Dory’s, and Rebels Pizza (best service ever). The mall also allows things that wouldn’t be allowed at a suburb mall, like why am I paying for a plastic at Fish and Chips but if I go to rosebank the plastic is free?? Maybe they cheated me, who knows, but I can’t help to think that it’s an area thing and just bc it’s majority black and coloured individuals they allow these things to slide. Even something as simple as leaving a shop, why am I being searched?? But if I go to the suburbs I won’t get searched. I get that crime may be more common at that mall but where’s the progress in making black and coloured individuals aliens in their own communities. It’s crazy to say the least. Are we going to start paying R2 to go to the bathroom next?? I won’t be tuning in to find out shame

The Westgate Shopping Centre has all the big retail brands from a Checkers Hyper, Pick n Pay, Woolworths, Food Lovers and even Game. The shopping mall is spread across 5 wings and here you will find everything from bridal wear to gadget and hobby shops. The mall is right on Onderkkers 17km west of Johannesburg city, and is one of Joburg's first super-regional retail destinations opened in 1985. It is proximately close to Roodepoort's most suburban areas.

Well easy mall to access, neat and clean! Very safe place to shop on. You get everything you want including sport, books, music, groceries, healthcare, children toys, baby staff, restaurants, ATMs, safety equipment and many more. There is sufficient space for parking with safety guards on watch. , it is clear to see where you want to go there are clear signs of direction,you will never get lost,you can ask guards around for direction if you lost.

Westgate has changed so much over the years and I think this is their best era to date. They offer all the big franchise stores/brands that people in this area love along with a vast array of independents which really sets them apart from other malls. Theres a good food court and decent amount of cafes and sweet stores. Definitely the kind of mall where you'll pick up good deals at good prices from all the stores

I won't be going back soon. The fact that the car guards allow a lazy, fat, woman to park in disabled, and screams at me when I tell him to do his job, is ridiculous. Let it have been a white woman parked there and he would have quickly jumped. Westgate, and their shops, have become racist. Don't shop there unless you love being ridiculed, sworn at, treated like dirt and called racist names in a foreign language.

Great Mall, I gave it five stars because it has a variety of shops, it has a cinema (Numetro), it has a because food court with different food options (not too different though) and it has a fun area. Magic company definitely made me rate this super high as that game zone is amazing, the games are well priced and they have a bowling alley. Great place to be.

Lots of reasonably priced clothing shops. There's also a few shops where you can buy African style clothing for good prices. Near the cinema, there is a stall in the middle where they sell traditional African attire. Nice to buy gifts for friends overseas. There's a gym inside the mall. It's a very busy mall but mornings are the best and safest time to go.

Overall good mall. I love the fact that there's an arcade there after all that shopping it's nice having somewhere kids can be occupied. Not to mention the variety of stores and amazing cleanliness of the restrooms. However there's always room for improvement like how the trash cans are very few and one has to walk around with trash every now and then.

We went to Westgate with the sole purpose of going to get some stuff. The 1st stop was Stay Fly Smokers, of which the staff member present was not aware of how to package a hookah pipe. Our 2nd stop was Food Lovers Market of which to our surprise did not stock or have stock of any branded sliced bread. Hoping to only visit in another 2 years time.

This was the 1st time I went to Westgate after the renovations. The mall looks amazing. Loved the water fountain, the os bigger. The food court is also bigger. Has free wifi and tables where u can just take ur laptop, sit there and work. The set up is nice and convenient. I just loved it...

This is a beautiful Mall, what I love about os the different activities that you can do with kids. There is westgate playcentre were kids are the only ones who pay and parents enter for free. It has game places, Cinema and the restaurants are limitless. It is a one stop for everything.

During my short visit, I saw a normal mall with many South African departmental stores. Went there again on 28.06.2023, I wasn't impressed, this is like a local shopping centre, it's congested. Maybe it used to be the amongst the best before, but now the standard is very low.

Absolutely everything under 1 roof. The place is huge. Security absolutely amazing. As I got tired walking with crutches they immediately called for a wheelchair so I can continue with the rest of my shopping..Well done Westgate. You will definitely see me again

They have made some serious changes to the mall. Looks more modern now. I go every month to get chronic meds and donate blood so its good to that they doing their best to modernise and maintain the mall. Still plenty of room for improvement.

They've done a lot of updates so the mall itself looks really nice. It's big and has a wide range of shops available. Multiple hairdressers, all major banks, eating establishments and a gym, bathrooms are also easily available.

This is the best mall I've been to in a long time. It has many necessary shops especially for women, and children. The food court is an amazing setup plus very affordable. Can't wait to visit the NuMetro cinema soon.

We went to John Dory's and the service was efficient, the atmosphere was okay and the food was very yummy. The waiter served us freshly made popcorn while we wait for our food which was a very nice touch …

This mall doesn't allow rideshare drivers to park in their lots even though they have tons of unused space. Most shopping centres don't have an issue and even have dedicated parking for ride share drivers.

Always the best mall to visit.... Most of the shops are there.... Most of the restaurants are kids friendly... And we really loved the service we always get at the parking... Those guys are wonderful...

Food lovers is my favourite store especially since the employees are super friendly. The workers at the butcher are the best and always entertaining/friendly to customers, absolutely love it …

Expected it to be busy but Game was a wonder! Exceptional staff, very friendly and helpful especially the Vodacom Section - highly recommended as compared to either Key West and Cradlestone Mall!

Lekker mall to get anything clothes and food wise. Parking space is great. Does lack some advanced tech stores. Security bedds to be bumped up a bit. Nonetheless lekker vibes and God bless.

Good mall in close proximity. Has a large variety of shops.. A Spar would be nice too. Banking queues at month end are a nightmare. Capitec's atm's always have issues all the time …

It has all the shops to cater for your needs. Always smart and clean. Security is good and patrols. Mostly crowded during the Weekends but hey, everyone will be out and about lol

It's always full and it's difficult to find parking. The security is not tight enough and I never really feel safe at this mall it's just a pity it's the closest to our house.

Went to the Hyperama. Found an amazing wok for the low, low price of R80. Been using it almost every day, Bought one for my son as well. Excellent shop for general shopping.

Shop and work . Shop.and pay your bank your money same time . Peace of mind to movies also . Play games same time . What more could be more fun that that . Work and place .

It's a convenient place to get most of daily needs from food, clothing, appliances and tech. I regularly go there for gym and one of my favourite stores is Food lover's

Surprisingly enough Checkers was nice to shop at.. not packed.. I visited here after 24 years.. alot has changed.. some nice cheap clothing stores and other usual shops

This mall I consider very fair and considerate of all groups of society. Also, it's probably the only place that has a cinema I know where you get the cheapest movies.

The centre was busy and the que's in food lovers was unbearable due to they were very long though they were trying to push and it's understandable as it was month end

After not being to the centre for more than 20 years. I am elated. It's clean, revamped, trendy, upgraded. Fantastic selection of stores. Well maintained and vibey.

Depending on the time/day you go. It can be extremely busy especially at the food courts. All in all it's a great Mall to go to , always clean and easy to navigate.

I love this place but the elevators are always out of order hence making shopping experience very difficult even the the escalator most of the time are not working

Lively, we was watching a well known Soweto derby game provided on a big screen by Roko mama's. Big shopping centre everything you would expect is available.

Been there a few times & I won't go there in a hurry. It reminded me of the local Shoprite in the township. The star is actually for the Food Lovers outside.
