This United Church is quite aesthetically beautiful on the outside, but the clanging sounds it makes are, well, really annoying. I like the sounds of ringing church bells, don't get me wrong, but this church tower seems to use some very LOUD electronic sound device that broadcasts some sorta music (e.g., "Go tell it on the mountain") that can go on for 10-15 minutes on Sundays and it can be rather disruptive for a few city blocks. The sounds aren't at all pleasant and, at times, they can be quite intrusive whether you're a resident in the area, hanging out, shopping/eating nearby. It would be awesome if it was more an actual bell sound, but it's a super loud electronic knock-off sound that sounds kinda cheap and everyone in the area is forced to listen to it when it goes off :( Would you please consider turning down the volume of that broadcast a few decibels... ?

This church is a classic beauty. It's massive pipe organ must be seen and heard. It would earn a 5 star rating normally, but the front limestone staircase has been under repair for over a year. My family was there for our daughter's high school graduation. Traditionally the school's graduating class has photos take on the staircase at the conclusion of the ceremony, including the tossing of their mortarboards. The past two graduating class have had to use the south side entrance to the church. Nice with the stain glass windows in the background, but nowhere near as impressive as the main staircase.

I personally love hearing the bells even as someone who doesn’t attend church. I sang here as a little girl and it was always beautiful to me, the architecture itself is something to appreciate, no matter your faith.

This place is always shouting obnoxious religious 'bell' music, which is neither music, nor bells. I can see speakers in the belfry. The bells are out of tune, and they're not even real bells. I wish I could rate less than one star.

Beautiful church. This church also has a day care. At Christmas they have a christmas store for children to shop and buy gifts for the whole family. There is something there for everyone.

Good acoustics for choir or chamber orchestra, lots of space, but bring a small cushion, the church pews are a bit tough on the sitting bones

Great venue for concerts has good sound and seating is hard, but view is good. Architecture of building is neat. Saw the Symphony here.

Went here to hear the chamber orchestra play. Great acoustics. Although air conditioning would be nice in the summer.

Curious about a church website which fails to make any mention of the preachers or even name them

I go for the Bell Tower food bank and it is a perfect time to go plus we get a hot meal as well

Goof acoustics for concerts, in particular choral ones. As a church, I would not know..

I am considering selling my house beause of how INCONSIDERATELY LOUD their bells are.
