I had a terrible experience before at the A&E department, the receptionists and triage nurses treat you like prisoners, I heard many people complaining about this dismissive treatment. The second time I came I had to be hospitalised for 3 days, even though I got treated like a prisoner at the beginning, the doctors, other professionals, like the ladies from the ultrasound and MRI, nurses (not all of them though) were super nice and caring. The process is long, get ready to spend a minimum of 10 hours in the hospital if you need any treatment. I arrived there at 10Am and got a bed at 2Am. But I felt that they were looking after me and I felt safe.

My dad came in via ambulance given morphine. His appendix had become infected and was decaying. Had to wait 8 hours before given any more medication for the pain as the staff kept on forgetting about him and dismissing his pain baring in mind he was still in the waiting room and not seen. Took them more than 5 hours before taking his blood from arrival time. All the staff kept dismissing him after the diagnosis also and he was twisting on the floor in pain no one was helping. Understaffing is one thing, but medical negligence is another

After knowing a lot about nhs staff shortages, I went to A and E Friday afternoon and expected to be there for hours . Within 2 hours I had been seen, had an X-ray and given a boot and crutch for my fractured ankle and was able to leave . The staff all were working very hard and were very efficient . All staff in both minor injuries and the X-ray department were very pleasant , and I don’t normally leave reviews but feel these people working hard for everyone else should be appreciated . Thank you for your service

Overall the place is totally poorly staffed - in terms of quantity and quality. Some staff are hardworking and totally professional whilst also personable and caring; others can barely be bothered lift a finger, and certainly not a smile, others can barely speak English and can’t be understood easily even when giving important medical information. The main switchboard is also very hard to reach and around the hospital you will see clinic phones unanswered even when staff are sitting next to them.

AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS! The customer service is horrible! They are all very rude, hasty and disrespectful (they screamed and hung up on me several times!!) This is unacceptable, nobody should be treated like this. On top of everything, I've been waiting for a surgery (reported as urgent to be done within 3 months) for 1 year and 2 months now. I ended up to do it privately 6 months ago and I risked a lot on waiting all that time! This is a shame, all my taxes paid in vain!

I went into A&E with a suspected broken arm (turned out to be both broken & dislocated), and I absolutely can't fault the care I received whilst at the hospital. From the woman on reception at A&E, to the doctors who assessed and treated me, the people who did my X-rays, the nurses, the porters and the lady who bought round coffee and sandwiches. Every single person was caring, and working as a team. I felt in very capable hands, and can't praise everyone there enough.

I was most impressed with the service and treatment I received at the Eye Clinic yesterday morning, well done to all the team! The Clinic was extremely busy, despite this all the staff were professional, polite, explained clearly about the tests and were positive and cheerful. These are such busy times for the NHS and it was good to see that the standards were high at this Clinic. Thank you Whipps!

This hospital is an embarrassment for the UK. Staff are nice and helpful, but the facilities are a total scandal. I’ve travelled a lot in my life and been in several hospitals and clinics. I would rate the facilities at Whipps Cross the lowest of the low. Honestly I was shocked and the fact that the UK government is allowing this is just an embarrassment for this country.

What a shambles of an operation. Just tried for over an hour after 3 phone calls unsuccessfully to re-schedule an appointment given wrong advice and lines being cut off. On the fourth try lines closed at 4pm when it should have been operational till 5pm. Should such incompetence operate in vital organisations?

I just had my gallbladder removed and can’t praise the staff at Whips Cross enough. Very grateful for the tremendous care given to me from the very caring staff, especially on the Rowan Ward. I went to A&E on Saturday morning and they put

Simple wisdom tooth extraction, the appointment got delayed by 13 months. Finally got a date for 11am - ended up waiting 5 hours no food for 18 hours then told they can't operate on me because something came up and their policies are they

Overall poorly maintained and dirty. They do not clean the rooms daily and neither the baths in the rooms. If you have a baby that requires constant monitoring better take leave from work or receive the sack as the nurses will not manage

I had a really bad fracture on my arm ,and needed surgery as soon as possible. I am glad it was made by the surgeon Dan William and his team (I am glad from the bottom of my heart ,I know he is special for me now ) .

I had an extreme allergic reaction to peanuts and managed to get myself here quickly. The staff were excellent - professional, caring and diligent. Brilliant people doing amazing work. Very grateful. Thank you.

Very large hospital, easy to get to. Route guides can be improved. Received very good service with care. Lots of lovely hidden art around the hospital.

"20.5 hours waiting in A&E Dept"- My doctor told me to go to A&E Whipps Cross, as I had injured my back.

It's horror show. Even simple things such as changing follow up appointment is extremely difficult.
