Tonight I went into whole foods and picked up a couple things, I am a 33 year old woman who looks pretty healthy although I suffer from fibromyalgia and chronic pain and was in the middle of a flare up tonight. I ended up putting a couple too many things in my basket, and when I got to the till, I couldn't carry anything anymore. I asked the lady I'd I could get help out to my car (which was on the street right outside the door, I know it doesn't seem far but for someone in a lot of pain it is). The lady said I needed to ask customer service, so when the young man walked past the till I was at I asked for help, his reply was that it was very busy and he would try to find someone to help. The store was pretty empty. There were two to three tills that the cash registers weren't serving anyone, and other employees walking around. The self-service man did not call anyone for help and just stood at his desk seemly not doing anything. The cash register lady ended up helping the lady after me and decided to leave her till and carry out my groceries herself. She was amazing, and I loved her service. Unfortunately, I'm giving this a 2 star review because of the young man who looked upset at me for even asking and then getting help out. I just want to say, just because someone looks physically able to do something doesn't always mean that is the case, if I was an elderly person I would've had no push back at all about asking for help. I'm pretty disappointed in the self-service person. But whomever the lady who helped me out to my car was, she deserve a raise.

I’ve been shopping here for years and years and it’s my happy place. Going grocery shopping is always such a treat and a wonderful experience at this location. Special shoutout to Sarah, she’s a wonderful cashier and every time I’m in her aisle I get to spend a minute or two catching up with her as she is ringing through my purchases and she is always such a delight and a pleasure while at the same time super efficient! Also shoutouts to anyone I’ve ever asked a question to, every single time they provide the highest level of customer service by answering my question and ensuring I’m satisfied (anytime I’ve ever asked where anything is, they go out of their way to have me follow them so they can show me where it is. By now I pretty much know where everything in the store is but I know if Im looking for something new and I ask I’m always treated with this service.) Everyone who works here is honestly wonderful, I’ve been here probably a couple thousand times, if not more, in the last 10+ years and have never once had a subpar experience. Thank you to everyone who works here and helps keep the store so clean and organized, and makes grocery shopping a somehow calming and wonderful experience for its customers!

I come here a few times a week to grab lunch and other items i need, recently they added these self checkout stations and now takes 2-3 times longer to get through the line. Before they put these stations in they had 5+ cashers in the express checkout area that checked people out and the line was short maybe 3 min wait tops. Then they put these self checkouts and had 2-3 people still checking customers out, fast forward a week and now there is NO staff to check out guest only 1 that tries to help people but it always takes 10 min to help. The self checkout stations crashed 2 times while i was waiting and some guy had to come fix it, my 3 min easy stop for lunch now turns into a 15-20 min wait because they don't respect their customers times enough to have a few staff on site to check customers out. I don't see myself going here after today the experience has gone down hill and if this is how the "respect" their customers time I don't think I want to do business with Whole Foods anymore. Not sure if it was a cost cutting measure so WF doesn't need to keep so much staff on hand but its bad for customer experience.

Good shopping experience. Often good sale prices. The staff is friendly. They answer questions and will take you to the right place when you are looking for something. The quality of produce is definitely good. They also have good varieties of organic fruits and local fresh fruits. You can find many many kinds of breads. We buy the Amaranth bread and sometime Buckwheat bread. And they will slice it for you at the bakery. WFM has excellent sea food and meat departments. This year we tried their ready made hamburgers. The hamburgers were very good. The meat does not have additives. We also like the bakery and the deli. And now they have started the buffet again. It is generally reasonable. We like shopping here and now a days we shop here for food. The prices are competitive compared to Save on Foods and Safeway. And, WFM has excellent sales every now and then. Watch for their 25% off supplements sale in Aug/Sep.

We received a $98.00 fine because we parked in a spot next to a sign that said “parking for Whole Foods customers”, only to find out later that you are still required to pay to park in the spot. While there were some signs scattered throughout the garage that said to pay at the ticketing machine, they were not immediately obvious and anyone not paying attention could easily mistake the spot for free parking. I wouldn’t mind paying for the fine if there was clear signage, but the fact that I’m not the only person this has happened to suggests that the signs are incredibly misleading. Also, the fine being 30 thirty times the price of the parking ticket makes it feel like it was intentionally setup this way. I feel as though I have been taken advantage of. I will be shopping elsewhere in the future.

Feeling healthy, may delete later I’ve frequented this location for the past five years or so. In this time I’ve always been impressed by the quality of the produce, meats, cheeses, and find the house brand (365 Everyday Value) to live up to their namesake If you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing shopping experience with everything you need and nothing you don’t, this is your place Also, I find the staff to be particularly cheerful and interested in light conversation which makes your shopping experience even better. I'll keep adding photos to keep you updated on current trends Update from fall 2022, at some point in the last few weeks they increased the parking by 66% from $3 to $5. The good news is that they still reimburse your parking if you spend over $10 I believe

Been to this place since it was open in this location more than dozen years ago. You can still find a very good selection of reasonably priced organic product here. However, the hot food departments quality has been in decline over the years. You can no longer order real Italian style pizzas nor sandwiches like it was five/ six years ago. The worst, are the people currently working there. A good number of them clearly don't want to work there, and have no clue about "customer service". Good employees are few and far between. Wifi there won't work about 90% of the time. So much of premium shopping experience... Original Park Royal location still have that, as well as other locations in the US, but sadly no longer the case in this Vancouver city hall location.

Worst location ever. Large signs saying free parking for Whole Food customers and parked in designated spot. No signs saying you need to pay first then get reimbursed so we quickly bought our groceries and came back to a parking ticket for get this- 98 dollars!!! The parking is 3 dollars an hour and they fined us 98 dollars for not paying first. Filled a complaint online and got a call from the store manager who said she’s look into it but no follow up. On this trip I went to several groceries stores, Safeway, Save on Foods, T&T, Walmart, Canadian Super Store none of them had anything even remotely similar. All with free parking and no hidden agenda to scam you of your money. Go somewhere else!!!

I’m leaving this mainly due to the recent change to majority self check-out counters. The interface is unintuitive and frustrating, and produce was not all showing up when searching on screen. I’m shocked that Amazon hasn’t been able to improve on existing self check out counters from stores from 5+ years ago, it’s embarrassing for a massive tech company. I come to this grocery store and pay 40% more than other grocery stores because of the fact that I get convenient friendly service from the pleasant staff and I don’t have to make grocery shopping another job on a computer screen. Please fix this. Stop trying to get rid of jobs while replacing it with a horrible non-service, Amazon/WF.

Been buying these soups weekly for the last 3 YEARS and only in the last few weeks has Wholefoods starts filling them less yet still charging $8.99. I remember when these used to be $6.99. If you’re going to fill them less then charge less! Price gouging customers just like their LobLaw competitors. Update on review: guess they saw my review and decided to just order smaller containers and keep charging the same. Notice the dates on the containers: the taller one on the left photo I took out of my freezer from nov 10th. The shorter one on the right are the new containers. Same price and different mounts of soup.

This place is really awesome and I always enjoy my shopping experience here. They have seemed to cover every base with so much variety off fresh high quality food. Great butcher, fish counter, bakery, florist and more! Even have a cafe that you can order food in and sit down. Service through the tills is fast and the staff are always very warm and fun in personality. You do pay that extra 5% or so, so I hope they use local suppliers and are ethical in the trade etc to justify the slight extra cost for the produce. Definitely worth a visit.

I'm a regular customer and generally, customer service is friendly and helpful. There is one young South Asian woman who doesn't seem to like to work there. I try to avoid her. She doesn't smile, acknowledge you and isn't keen on bagging the groceries for you. Today I had to ask her to bag my items and she was careless and threw them into the bag including eggs. What is the purpose of being a cashier then? Otherwise, I would have gone to the self-check out till and done it myself. Terrible.

I always loved this store and trusted the prepared food for quality as well as taste. Last evening I threw out the salmon and chicken breast I bought from the prepared food counter. It tasted old, my cat who usually loves the salmon walked away. I believe they are using a cheaper oil. Not sure because the customer service counter was too busy. Also, they used to half the rotisserie chicken for those who can’t eat a whole one. Not anymore apparently. Super disappointed in the store lately.

Terrible experience! Went for a burrito bowl with extra protein. Asked for extra salsa. The girl who served me said no bc it was already 1lb? First of all, it was one pound because I added extra protein. I didn’t even get rice because I can’t eat any right now. Just terrible! Having no salsa = no flavour. I asked for no onion and the girl threw some in. I told her again and she picked it out begrudgingly. Made the eating experience unpleasant. I think you need to train your staff better

  • Roger S

As a long term regular customer I never imagined in my retirement I would be [forced] to become an 'employee' with the introduction of the self check outs! I thought one of the reasons I'm paying 40% more for groceries is for the quality, selection AND for a human to scan and bag my purchases; followed by a thank you! I understand some may like the convenience yet I remain absolutely sadden that a trillion dollar regime would reduce its workforce in order to increase their bottom line.

  • Shan Halih

I love this WholeFoods. The instant food is served fresh and hot, sushi is amazing and the sandwiches are fantastic. It seems that they are alway promoting for deals so that shoppers know whats-up. As for the client services... the people are amazing !! so friendly and nice, it appears that they enjoy their job. The morning crew are always smiling and they interact with me, they talk too me and ask about what I am buying, they seem genuinely interested and sweet ! :)

  • Lewis

Self checkouts are the worst I’ve ever used, also I’m already bagging my own groceries at this location, when do I get put on payroll. Items fell off the tiny table they use, they have items that when you pick them from the screen it shows up as an error, and an unintuitive key system. I was a teller when I was a teenager - why is this more complicated? I had to have the 1 person they had to oversee help me 4 times! Why are we paying a premium for this place now?

  • Tzenka Dianova

My go to place for health/organic food in Vancouver, hands down. Wide selection of fresh produce (horseradish, burdock or purple cauliflower anyone?) at reasonable-for-the-quality price, fresh cheeses from around the world, small yet nice selection of fresh meat and deli meats, freshly baked goods, freshly made pastry, which still tastes good even though it’s no longer made with organic ingredients, as it used to be. The store itself is a pleasure to shop at.

  • Annabelle S

My favourite location. Well stocked and worth fighting through the busy streets to get there! Parking down below and a great selection of just about everything! I also wanted to give a special shout out for our favourite cake - the black & white cake. Delicious every time and a perfect balance with the cream cheese icing. We have ordered so many times for any occasion and for those long ago work potlucks. Treat yourself!

  • Gurv

Great location with easy access to the Canada Line. There is also ample free parking for shoppers. Prices for some items can be really high, but that’s because the quality of the product is high and you often can’t get the product at Save On or Superstore. The food court, smoothie bar and coffee shop are what really make this place special! Everything is awesome and the staff are very nice/helpful.

  • Maria Davis

Super frustrated with this new self checkout situation. You’re charging a premium for groceries, at least give us fast, human service. If the machines were more advanced, could sense that something is a lemon for example, without us having to work to find that product in the produce list and still get errors, that would be reasonable, but your machines are not smart. C’mon, Whole Foods.

  • M Dauph

Dear Wholefoods: What have you done to your cranberry muffins?? For years I have enjoyed your fabulous cranberry muffins. A Sunday morning treat. Lately you have shrank them in size substantially, seem to be using less cranberries and changed the recipe. They are now a sad version of their former glory. I rather pay more for the former.

  • aliz arandela

Friendly service at this whole foods market! Nobody was at the flower stand so the female security guard I believe Ashley was her name, went to go get somebody to help me. Then another female helped me to put the 2 bouquets I picked to rewrap it together which was $18 + $7, great price for a beautiful big bouquet!

  • Johnson Huang

Being in the luxury service industry I have high standard and am sensitive to the ones around me. You know tbis whole food location has good employees when I had to ask 3 different employees for assistance and all three responses were helpful, positive and patient…thank you for the people that works here.

  • Munchica

Their mini-tarts are superb. High quality, fine, and delicious! The crust is nice and crispy and the filling is so gooey and yummy. Highly recommend the mini butter pecan tart, lemon tart, and fruit and custard tart. They also have a chocolate shell one with ganache in the middle. Decadent.

  • Dorsa Liaghat

My favorite place for “buffet” style lunch. If you see a tray empty, just simply ask one the amazing staff to help. The pizza station will make customized pizzas per order as well as the usual menu. The burrito station is amazing. The pastry never disappoint. Love this place!

  • Robin Logan

Was expecting prices to be lower after the Amazon purchase. A really cool place to eat and hang out. The eating area is really big and very nice. There were some nice bakery samples when we were there. I'd be happy to go back for groceries or for some lunch and homework.

  • Yana K

Alex at the self check out was super rude and discriminatory. I found her to be very undermining and rude when I simply trying to check out my avocados. Been having lots of Negative experiences at this whole foods since they introduced self-checkout machines

  • Maria Carmen Aboytes Enriquez

A Philippines woman who was a support nearby to self-checkout was very discriminatory because I told her that I need a little help and she made a face movement of annoyance and unfriendly. It's a shame that this type of staff gives a bad image to the store.

  • Naheed Gilani

Self-serve deli is way overpriced, especially for veg items. Make people pay for the actual cost, meat and dairy are heavily subsidized. Carrots shouldn't cost as much as a chopped up a cow. Add a scale so people can have a sense of what they are spending.

  • Mahdi Ramezani

The produce section is always fresh, and the prepared foods are a real time-saver for busy days. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the store is clean and well-organized. It's my go-to place for healthy, sustainable, and delicious groceries.

  • Iyand Peterson

Underwhelming, I honestly felt that there would be more things here from the States but it's just a regular grocery store with emphasis on non-gmo / organic food. I did appreciate that they have a cafeteria with many vegan and whole food options.

  • Vanessa Denham

This Whole Foods doesn’t have a good selection of hot bar deli items (to be more specific, vegan options- the West Vancouver one has a vegan breakfast burrito, this one does not and more than 2 things I can eat at lunch…) and they lack a

  • Ty

I usually love Whole Foods but the recent deli changes are really disappointing. The Meal deal used to be decent value but they’ve raised the price by a dollar while also giving you 30%-50% less food. Please do away with the separated

  • Tim Kang

I love this wholefoods because it is one of the biggest wholefoods in Vancouver, and it has a coffee shop upstairs. Wish parking was more convenient and straightforward. I usually just end up parking on the street for metered parking.

  • Si Z.

Big and spacious with lots parking. They reimburse parking of purchase over $10. I was amazed by the bakery section and the dessert section. Convenient location with Home Depot, save on food, Canadian tire and liquor store around.

  • K H

Very large sitting area food court area. Burrito bar, salad bar, hot food and cold food self serve bar ($3.65/100g), and sandwiches. You can get a lunch/meal here but it won’t be on the inexpensive side. Clean washrooms.

  • Abdelrahman Khalaf

Try their Cafe on the upper level ( it’s accessible through side door also) it’s clean and quiet if you want to do some work with a street view ( have construction right now) and they offer coffee + muffin for 5$ only !

  • Cyndi Cheng (Cyndi C)

Parking instructions. Park in the wholefoods section of the parkade. You must pre-pay before you go up and bring the receipt up. As of summer 2023, it is now $5 for 1hr parking and you must spend $20 minimum.

  • Shelley C

My weekly go to for grocery shopping! Fruits and vegetables are fresh and priced so well (even for organic). Staff are all incredibly lovely and helpful which makes the shopping experience even better.

  • Danika Cahill

The past 8 years I have been giving this location all my money. Always stocked with fresh produce. Everyone working here is lovely and the skill level they have to tetris pack groceries is next level.

  • Judy Robinson

Got exceptional customer service from Mira in the Floral Department today ... The added finishes to my floral arrangements and friendly disposition made the experience very special ... Appreciate.

  • Sebastien S

Visited in September 2021, just retracing my steps. Had a great selection. This was before all the pricing madness got completely out of control everywhere. Will visit again and see if it holds up

  • rue deda

Wide selection of organic fruit, vegetables and every thing organic, soaps, oils, essential oils. The bakery! Carrot cake is a dream

  • Ahk Cee

Big and decent selection. They now have self-service checkouts, but can be buggy. Hopefully, it will get better with time.

  • Darlene St. Louis

Love this store! Great selection of health products and organic options. Great deli and pre-made portions.

  • Astra Muller

Great selection of product and organic produce. I’d recommend it to all the health food eaters.

  • G Q

Fantastic fresh produce. It’s not cheap but the variety and quality are superb.

  • T. Sullivan

Whole foods is on the seasonal cookie game big time!
