I highly recommend nobody to purchase any vehicle from this con artist. Back in Feb/March I purchased a 2004 Hyundai Elantra from the dealership after complete reassurance the car “drove like a dream” and the car barely lasted over a month. Little did I know, the car brought several issues right from the get go. For starters as I drove the car from the dealership to my house, the right indicator wasn’t working at all. Then not even a few days later on my way to work, without any warning from my car, it ran out of petrol while it was still in motion and I was lucky enough to have enough momentum from the car to pull it over on a footpath and pull the emergency brake. The car itself was displaying that it still had a quarter tank left in it and gave no warning of it coming to complete emptiness. The weeks that followed, there was heavy rain in Sydney. Every time I was at a traffic light and it would go green, I’d depress the gas peddle to start driving my car, but all of a sudden the car would start spiraling out of control and I’d have to steer the car back on a straight path. This would happen several times nearly causing accidents. Clearly an issue with the tires he ‘forgot’ to disclose. Then, the final straw being, I was driving home from University one day and without any warning from my dashboard, the car overheated and the engine blew. I wouldn’t of lost the car had the dashboard clearly shown that the car was overheating. When I called him, he advised me on what to do which was to leave the car on the side of the M7 exit and we’d organise a tow for it in the morning. And I took his advice believing it was the correct thing to do as I was a first time car buyer unaware of what to do in a situation like that. I went and saw him the next day, and we found a wrecker to take the car. And I went to see the wrecker to do the paperwork and give him the location of where my car broke down. The wrecker sent his tow truck driver to pick it up but he couldn’t find it. It turns out the highway had towed it already angering the wrecker into believing I wasted his time purposely all while I was simply following Brett’s directions on what to do, as I placed my trust in him. Low and behold, the car had been towed to an Alexandria towing yard and I had to travel 1 hour from my house to then pay a $220 towing fee simply because I listened to Brett. And Brett’s way of making everything right was to sell me another car at cost price, in other words, take more money out of my pocket. I had such a horrendous experience, especially as I was a first time car buyer.

Google won't allow me to put zero stars so I'll go with one. One more star than what this disgrace of a card yard deserves. The people who run this car yard are con artists, and will attempt to woo you with their supposed three month warranty, which is completely false and a scam. I bought a car from this place, and it went less than 20km before steam begun to burst out from the engine. It was then supposedly taken to a mechanic and fixed free of charge, however, was completely false. When I went to pick the car up the following day the owner refused to give me the mechanics details. Since having the car, two weeks in, I have had to take it to the mechanics three times and have spent close to $3000 on a $2000 car. New tyres, suspension, fuel injectors, oil leaks, water leaks, new hoses, the works. The people who run this place are total and utter crooks, they deserve no business and deserve to be put behind bars for what they are doing and will continue to do to people. He sold me, a 19 year old an unsafe car. He robbed me of my savings, he caused so much stress, and he played me like a fiddle. However, what goes around comes around and he will be stopped. DON'T BUY FROM THIS CARYARD!!!!!!! JUST DON"T!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!! You are better off buying a matchbox car than a car from this un genuine Australian. (He will now attach a pre-written response that he does for all of the terrible reviews he receives.)

Me and my girlfriend are both backpackers from England and we bought a 1998 manual Holden Barina from the lot. Priced at $995 ($1500 with the rego. and 1 year parts + labour warranty). We seen some bad online reviews and went to the lott with a cautious mind. When we arrived we where welcomed by Brett and he left us to inspect the cars in which we where interested in and managed to answer any questions we had about the cars, all the cars had all the correct paper work and had been serviced by a mechanic. Once we decided on the Holden Brett then helped us to rego the car (which was a massive help considering we were first time buyers) and we drove off the lott the same day. Unfortunately with it being an old car, and it had been sat on the lott for a week or two, after a few days of having the car it wouldn't start as the battery was flat (it was from 2011). We called up and there were absolutely no problems at all Brett said he would replace the battery free of charge for us. So we got our vehicle jump started and drove back to the lott where they removed and replaced the battery without any fuss and we where on our way again. The car has been in perfect working order since, I couldn't recommend Why Walk Used cars enough! Friendly service, couldn't help us enough and a lovely first car. Thank you guys so much!

Bought a car there two weeks ago. A Ford Falcon Wagon for a road trip around Australia. I told Brett what I need and my budget and he found me the perfect car for my trip for a damn good price ! The service there is really amazing. They helped me and explained me everything. They could appear rude and difficult to understand for someone like me who is not from Australia and not used to it yet but they are verry nice and kind from the inside. They really care about the customer needs and they want you to be happy. After one week the engine was overheating. I was not too far from Sydney. I called Brett and he explained me how I should come back to Sydney so he can help me. My car don't have any warranty because it's too old and have too many kilometres but he helped me to finance a new radiator because he didn't want me to go around Australia with a second hand radiator. Once more I spend time with him and his team and they are just awesome ! Now I am sure that if I have any other problem with my car I can call Brett and he will help me ! Thanks again ! ;) Mr Switzerland

I buy car from you, very next day I find out it has many leakages, I informed you regarding that to which you done some sealing which didn't solve the issue % but reduced to some extent. I don't have much knowledge about cars that time, so I feel it's good, now later it's radiator gone (within next 2 weeks). I want to mention here that I take FULL WARRANTY of car paying extra money so that if anything happens it will cover under that warranty, but radiator was not covered Wow. So I paid 250 for that. That's not enough later just after radiator it's lower arm brush gone, and that also not covered under warranty so this time I paid 400 + for wheel alignment. I don't know what is covered under warranty now it's window is giving me problem I can't able to lock it sometimes but I didn't consulted you this time because I'm sure that this too will not be covered under my 100% labour+ parts warranty. Thanks for being so HONEST .

I had a great experience with Brett and actually found him a nice guy. I think those who have left negative feedback are not having reasonable expectations. This is a place to buy very cheap cars with high mileage. If you pay $2k on a car don't expect to get the same quality that you get from a $20k car. No one can give you peace of mind on a car that had done 200k+. You are the one who are taking the risk of buying something that basically has reached the end of its life cycle. I purchased a car from Brett for $3k last Friday and have already spent $1.5k on it with a potential further $1.5k to be spent over the next six months. I knew this is coming and I shouldn't be upset at anyone. Brett is making an honorable living by running this business and we should be fair before leaving negative comments that may affect his fragile small business.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE WHY WALK USED CARS. Brett is an amazing person who went not 1 extra mile but 1000 miles for us. Not only did he find us a car, but he also had the car serviced to a tee. Was so up front and honest with us every step of the way. Not one piece of information was left out (like most car dealers do) Brett has been an absolute blessing to our family. Cars don't just get you from A to B - they get you to work to support your family, they take you and your family out together creating lasting memories. We are a family of 6 and have been taking 2 cars everywhere - Brett found us a Kluger we could afford and now we travel as 1. To a lot of people that would not be a big deal but it is for us. So we are eternally grateful. Thank you Brett, to say you are The Man is an understatement.

This is the first time I leave a review anywhere. But they are so awesome that I would leave this review for them. My cousin just bought a 2000 Toyota from this dealer. We first spoke with Bratt while we looked at the car, didn't like the battery so he would let us change it. The front left wheel was no good, but he gave us another spare to change it. Even I feel we were abit annoying but he was very patient with us. While we were deciding, there was another person interested in this car but Bratt said he will have to wait for us to decide. Then it was Simon who took us to the RTA for the transfer, he was awesome! Everything went smoothly and all is done in no time! Highly recommend this dealer! They have great attitude and service!

DO NOT buy any car from them!!!!!! Too bad google doesn't have zero star rating. I realised the car they sold me had multiple issues. He promised to get his mechanic to fix it but that never happened after following up for months! Today he came to my house, pretending to fix the problem but ended up insulting me verbally while using provocative racial slurs. I have never experienced anything like it. I am going to put a call through to Fair Trading Australia first thing Monday morning and will see it through to the last straw to make sure action is taken against them. Please save yourself the headache and stay away. In my opinion, they shouldn't be trading at all if they do not change their ways. Something needs to be done ASAP!!!

The yard had a red Nissan Pulsar N15 I entered the yard via station st, in the office one bloke replied when I asked about the Nissan that's advertised on gumtree and auto trader. He said that he drove the car to his home, then went to restart the car it wouldn't start he even tried to jump start but no such luck. He said if I buy it from him for the 1200$ and fix it myself, then goes on to say it's worth 3000$. So pay 1200$ for the car & 1700$ you need to spend to get it going was the impression that I have got from the dude..more like Mr dud . From other commits that I have read here it seems like they pick and choose who buys cars from them.

  • Daniel Colebrook

Brett was honest and straight forward about the true condition of the cars I looked at and the one I bought. He made no secret of the fact that he has any mechanical issues fixed and that's about it, they are up for sale pretty much as the previous owner left them. The AU falcon I bought was somewhat dirty but so what, cleaning is free, it is rock solid mechanicly and hasn't missed a beat in the three weeks I've had it. Honest, fair and willing to help if he can. If you expect new quality, cleaned and detailed etc then you are in the wrong place but if you want a solid vehicle at a good price then go take a look.

  • dove clarke

I purchased a vehicle from this car yard too. My experience was not a good one either. I did not buy a $1,000 car. We paid $3,000 for a car that was to have things done before we picked it up none of the things were done that Brett promised. He promised the parts would be sent to us those parts never arrived even after several phone calls and we called to see them as well. Each time there was some excuse as to why the parts were not there to pick up or the transport company did not pick up. I was taken in by Brett being from the country I was to trusting hope someone can make him pay for what he does.

Worst place to buy car. Visited there twice to buy car, called 10 minutes early to confirm my interest and both times found the car being sold. I think it’s a dodgy policy to attract people to their place and so that people would come, miss their desired car and then would buy other cars from their stock. -------- Reply to your response: I did not visit you twice. I came to buy a car straight to your place, called beforehand and on both cases, found the car sold within half an hour.

  • Kevin Toto

Don't buy from this guy EVER!!. When i bought a car from him, he offered beer and he was very hospitable. Only to learn later that the car he had sold to me had a blown head gasket, I had to pay another $600 to get this fixed and on top of that I had to get the engine replaced. If you don't know anything about cars, it's not a place for you to buy a car from. He sells cars that are trade ins from other car companies as is... HES DISHONEST... I CANNOT BELIEVE HE IS STILL TRADING.

I went to Brett looking at a 2002 Volkswagen Golf. Brett asked what I was intending on doing with the car (drive long distances) and he assured me it would. Car had no issues what so ever for the 10 months I had it and I drove it from Sydney to Chinchilla Queensland, to Terang, Vic. Car had no issues for the time I owned it and Brett even helped me when registration came up and o didn't know what I was supposed to do. Thanks Brett, made my first half of the trip much better.

  • Logan Crane

In no way did I feel like I was being scammed or pushed into buying a car. I went in looking for a 4wd and left with nothing. The guys were honest about the issues with the cars from engine leaks, blown transmissions and clutch slipping. The car I was after was at the mechanics having the clutch replaced. There some good cars and some not so good. I even ended up having a good old yarn with them.

  • Pratik Dayal

Excellent person to deal with. Gives honest feedback. Bought my first car, Camry, and it is exceptionally good. It had a broken tail light glass which he replaced for me. A budget friendly place. Even recommended a friend to buy and he too is happy with his car. Reliable and indeed a great first experience of buying a car. Highly recommended and worth a visit. Thanks Brett !

  • Kelly Jaay

Called to make an enquiry, as the flop that owns the place can't communicate via text and when he answered he was nothing but a complete dropkick with no customer service or deceny. Rude and condescending isn't how you sell things. Don't give this place your time or money, go somewhere where the people your buying the car from at least have basic respect for humans.

  • Hunkeee Boy

They picked me up from Wentwortville station cos I was interested interested in buying a Toyota Echo. I went there n was not satisfied with the car. I informed them that I won't buy it. They got very rude n threatening. The 2nd guy gritting his teeth said he'd beat me up and take the $1500 cash from my pocket. This all happened in 2015..

  • Sandra Miller

We’ve bought 3 cars from this place & not one of them has let us down. With my tight budget; Brett has always looked after me. Was actually looking for another car today when he suggested to keep my trusty Toyota Corolla and have it serviced on time like I usually do. Highly recommend this place. Thanks Brett! Appreciate your service

  • Liz Moore

Zero stars equired about car as I'm in another state my husband over heard the rude remark I'm going to give you the worst news in Australia. Judging by that remark from just inquiring about a car DONT BUY FROM THE RUDE PRICK AND NO IM NOT CHANGING THIS REVIEW !!!!! AND DONT HARRASS AFTER YOU SEE THIS . AS ITS WHAT YOU DESERVE

  • jennifer dunne

Recently bought a car from Brett for a very reasonable price. Brett was very helpful in finding me a car in my price range. I've just completed a 21 hour journey to Queensland without any issues at all mechanically. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone who needs help in finding a car.

  • Robert Kibuuka

If you are planning to buy your car here, don't. Just reserve your peace and don't make the very regrettable mistake I made and have now paid around half the price I bought the car for in repairs after just a month of owning the car. The warranty will not save you so save yourself.

  • UMAIR KHAN

Worst experience ever, i purchased hyundai sonata few years back and it stopped after leaving the dealership. When i informed them about the issue the sales man started calling me names and threatened me. The car ran for only eight months untill the engine stops working completely.

  • forde lamberth

Brett was an absolute champion. The Proton I bought runs super smooth, no hassles. Best value money could buy! I was always hesitant about buying a car from a dealership but this purchase has changed my mind. Definitely recommend. Cheers for everything Brett you bloody legend!

  • Simon Cook

Awesome experience buying a vehicle from Brett at Why Walk. Service was excellent, after sales service was excellent. I would highly recommend doing business with Why Walk. Thank you so much for selling me an amazing Mazda 3!! Brett, you are the best. Many thanks :)

  • Elissa Sauzier

So desperate for a sale he will continue calling you when you don’t answer. doesn’t tell you what’s wrong with the car, leaves you to figure it out. Would only allow a test drive after paying. Lucky my best friend didn’t end up buying off this scam artist.

  • Pranav Pareek

Poor cars...don’t go there to buy any car they sale defected vehicles. I bought a car from them just a night ago they said it’s a really good car but it was my worst mistake to bought a car from them. Everything makes horrible sounds in the

Bought FG Flacon for son. Car was reasonable / good condition, no bull from owner. He doesn't like time wasters, nor do I. Price was dropped a little. It was a good and fair deal . I was surprised I was waiting for a catch. No catch. …

Woud not rate one star if I didnt have to. Do not buy from this dealer. Car I bought broke down after driving 1500 kms fan belt completely gone and no clutch. The warranty is a joke and not worth having and after speaking to Brett numerous

  • Ben Packer

Called about a car and was willing to put a deposit to pickup. Nowhere in the ad did it say it had gearbox issues and when I said I needed something driveable and would have to pass the guy on the phone was extremely rude. Do no go here.

  • Mark Gowdy

Do not trust Why Walk Used Cars, they sold us a vehicle for a lot more than it was worth and told us it would get us where we needed to go. The car broke down in the middle of no where and ended up costing more money than it’s worth.

  • Magnus Dahl Hegge

I bought a Falcon here, and it has been a great car. Service is also great. I had e problem with the clutch, and they offered to give me a new gearbox free of charge. Value for money, good service, and good cars. - Magnus
