New'ish restaurant (opened 18th August) within Paradigm Mall at the Ground Floor, next to Fei Fan Hotpot, that offers fusion Peranakan cuisine. One of the interesting presentations is the mixed grille meat (RM79.90) or seafood platter (RM99.90) that feeds 2-3 or 3-4 people respectively, which has a sampling of all the 4-5 selection of meat or seafood available individually ( e.g. grilled beef for RM49.90 or grilled tiger prawns for RM75), and comes with two sides and three sauces. The platter is served crackling hot off the grille in a round, see-through lid puffing with steam from the hot plate, which when open unveils the savoury fare underneath. They offer kid's meals (we ordered nasi lemak for kids at RM16.90) as well. Orders are placed by scanning a QR code on our phones, and are served by a robot on wheels.

So far so good. The service seems excellent, if you have the head waiter/supervisor on duty, he's very happy to give recommendations and also tell a little about the dishes. Quite affordable considering the layout, presentation, and the service level. Like Serai but slightly cheaper. Like DTF it also has clear glass partition to enable diners to see the kitchen staff. The menu is also interesting - can see it aims for new takes of established dishes. Had the tau sa peah cake, it's quite light and not heavy like the original biscuit filling. The chef apparently thought it up when he was working for the Vice Prez of Kazakhstan. The nasi goreng Nyonya solo is also quite good even if the prawn is medium size (not a complaint necessarily, there's also fried egg and 2 sticks of satay).

Great peranakan fusion food here! Ambience is also very comfortable and the restaurant has a good vibe to it. The only complaint is that the food took really long to arrive. There wasn't even a full crowd at the restaurant when I visited, so it was somewhat perplexing that we had to wait for a long time. Outside of that, the food was excellent. Everything we ordered was really cooked well and the pricing was also very reasonable. I highly recommend the Steam Baba Lime Chili Tilapia (pictured). You'll get good food here without hurting your wallet too much. If the kitchen can put out the food quicker, this place is almost the complete package. Recommended!

thought it's a western food eatery when browsing the directory. apparently it's peranakan food by mohd Chan. came on a Friday 1pm+ with 8 of us for a group lunch. no booking required. Service was attentive. U can either order through QR or old school way. All food was surprisingly good, laksa, satay, nasi lemak, ayam panggang etc. the satay was really melaka style with the pineapple sauce in the peanut sauce. awesome! the satay was also marinated differently from other satay eateries. it's much better than kajang ones. lamb chop was good too, a bit hard to cut with spoon and fork but it's not chewy to swallow. The sago was free if you post a review on Google. Only 1 per table though. overall very good experience and will revisit. cash and card only, no e wallet no QR pay.

Before I begin I'd like you to know that all the other 5 stars were bribed with a free dessert as you get one for giving 5 Stars. Firstly, they forgot my food. Secondly they didn't forgot to give me the cut I asked for my chicken pointless to have a special instruction page if it's not acknowledged. Also the stupid review QR on the table leads you to a GOOGLE SEARCH on Wood. I don't want to look at wood it makes me think of mahogany. The drinks were subpar and pricey for what they are. Decorations are confused. If you want to stick to classy vintage peranakan deco stick to it why are you mixing random stuffs?. Also I would give the food a review but as of now my food hasn't arrived my friends are done and we've already been here for close to an hour. Let's see if it hits the 1:30 min mark.

Went there for my boss early birthday celebration. Ordered myself Nyonya Octopus with Nyonya Spaghetti. I doesn’t taste good in my opinion, the fusion just doesn’t work at all. The grilled octopus is the only thing that makes sense, tho it lacks taste on its own. Luckily you can choose 3 sauces to dip in. The spaghetti is spicy, and that’s it. The big sliced broccoli is just, weird? My friend ordered Kunyit Lemak Octopus Bakar, it tasted good! I love the kuah masak lemak, the spiciness and the ‘lemak’ are perfect! The commando fries is spot on, the fusion that worked! The ambience is cosy, the staff are helpful and took away the plates once we finished, and cleared the table to make way for the birthday cake. Kudos to the staff! Will definitely come back to try other dishes.

Nyonya Goreng Spaghetti is delicious and worth the price. But extremely disappointed with W&G Dry Laksa coz it's definitely saucy. Taste like any other ordinary curry laksa, with 3 peeled prawns, taugeh & tauhu (not worth RM28.90). Please don't give me the 'Photo is For Illustration Purpose' reason coz their menu name is already misleading. As for the drink, we ordered Honey Limau Kasturi. But we are surprised with a mixture of some kind of grape/Ribena cordial too. Another misleading menu item name. Imagine if I don't like grape flavour. Not a great 1st time experience. Maybe their others dishes are good but still not sure if I wanna come again and try.

We had lunch here and the decor is modern and welcoming. Service was friendly though the staff are a little new (as of early September 2022) and weren't familiar with some questions we had about the menu. The coffee special was good and strong. The spices were excellent on dishes such as lemak pucuk paku and eggplant. Not to be missed is the sago gula melaka dessert served with ice cream. The combination of gula melaka and coconut milk is excellent with the sago and ice cream. We had a great meal here.

We tried a few dishes and love all of them. The chicken satay wins as my mom and husband really love it and would come just to eat that alone. We ordered the hailam chicken chop, steak, seafood grill and some kind of pasta. The ambiance of the place is really nice. I would suggest that the restaurant provide a mor sharper knife, because when we tried to cut the food it was a little hard using the butter knife and it makes the friction sound on the plate which was very unpleasant. Lastly, the staff wasn't that friendly but it could also be because they're short staff.

Went there for dinner but few items on menu were not available such as the beef rendang and couple of drinks. Ordered: Chicken satay Steamed okra with sambal Butter prawns Chicken rendang All were delicious & on point. Ambience was quiet and the service was just ok. Nothing really to praise. We could see their service crews were relaxing at the back of the restaurant even when customers were dining in. Not sure if that's a good impression but I guess it doesn't matter if the food is great, is it? ‍♀️ I wouldn't make my way on purpose just to dine here but it's an option to weigh on if you are around the area.

A very creative and innovative restaurant featuring local and western fusion foods. Nyonya Style Goreng Spaghetti: Tasted good. The Spaghetti was fried nicely, wok hei was there. Salads were also dressed nicely. Nasi Goreng Petai Chili Garam: This was nice too. You have to eat with the chili to complete the taste. Chicken was OK, could be better. Tofu Goreng Sumbat: You have to sumbat yourself. The tofu and sauce were delicious. Cendol Milk Tea: It was good and not too sweet. But have to finish it early, else everything will be frozen if kept too long.

Tried the sirloin with choice sides. Chose ocra and sambal terung.. not bad combo. I ordered 3 sauces, goreng chili, secret mushroom and cheese. Surprisingly the ocra goes well with the cheese sauce! But i lovvveeee the secret mushroom sauce! Sedap! Then makan the sago. So beautifully plated. But the coconut icecream did not add any flavour to the dish. Without the icecream pon dah sedap! Warm luscious coco milk with palm sugar and the most beautiful bluish sago!

Always enjoy eating here, this is my 2nd visit to this restaurant. Some hits and misses, but overall this place serves great food. My kunyit octopus with "black spaghetti" was undercooked, cold, greasy and quite disappointing... but other dishes were good. Fish curry we ordered was very excellent. Huge portion as well - we expecting a serving size for one, but the big pot looked like it could feed 4-5 people! Very delicious curry sauce with a lot of fish. Ordering is a bit confusing cos it's done by an app, and there was no where on the app to order extra white rice, but the dishes don't come with rice.... hahaha....

Fusion food, combining Asian (Nyonya) and Western (lots of grilled items). Premium items available on their seasonal menu like A5 Miyazaki Wagyu. A good variety of rice, pasta, and noodles on the menu. Can also order dishes, or go for sharing platters. Satay is delicious with a great peanut sauce. Fried rice is also quite fragrant, but a lot of broken grains. The signature coffee is recommended. Nice ambience, but if possible, avoid sitting near the kitchen as the fumes somehow escape to the dining area. Friendly service.

The chicken was so good. Its on a spicier side but spice level was acceptable to me (my tolerance is quite high) dry nyonya laksa was good too. Made a special request for prawns to be fried instead of having it grilled n they didn't disappoint. Price is on a higher side. Average pax expect to pay RM40 or more. Came back a second round to try other dishes. Their grilled items are the best. Fries wasn't hot. Would have been nicer if it was but tempe was good.

The nasi goreng was quite good, fried chicken pieces and prawn were nice, cantonese mee was runny and lack of taste, the fruit rojak taste a bit too strong, didn't taste like normal fruit rojak sauce,(did they put bunga kantan?) not much to our liking. The chicken chop tasted like satay? Service was fast though. I had some kind of watermelon soda which was super sweet it felt like I was going to get diabetic. Please lower the sugar in all the drinks.

The selection of meat is very fresh tender juicy and fatty. We tried the meat platter and everything in the planter was great. The salad is a must try too. A word of advice please tell the chef how well done your meat should be. Will visit again soon to try more options from the menu. Restaurant closes orders by 9:00 p.m, So it's advisable to go early

The food is good. Although we order common food like nasi lemak & fried rice, but they give surprises to our taste buds, e.g. nasi lemak has nice smell from bunga terung. The buttermilk prawn is fresh & creamy. Our rice sets came with refreshing acar. The acar taste just nice, not too sour. The services are good. Staff are very polite. We've been here a few times and the food was always good. This time around, the goreng chili octopus that came with our pasta was not fully cooked as usual. They replaced the whole dish even though we had already consumed more than half of the pasta portion. On top of that, they even served us complimentary sago gula melaka. Thank you Wood & Grill. Tried their all day set menu. WG dry laksa with ayam goreng, taste good, but not really dry, still having some sauce and soup but just not entirely soaked in laksa. Nasi lemak ayam goreng berempah also good, just the chicken skin looks a bit over cooked but the meat is still tender. Sambal is not bad, but not spicy. All set come with drink either cincau or syrup.

One word to describe, fabulous!!! Nice & clean with good ambience. Tip top service and food presentation, wide variety of choices and all the ones we ordered tasted soooooo good, grill platter is a must to order. Definitely recommended, I definitely will return to try out the rest of the menu.

ONE WORD : A HIDDEN GEM. I stumbled upon this place while walking around Paradigm and boy am I glad I walked right in,from the appetisers,to the main meal and to dessert,everything just tasted so good that it’s honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in awhile where I can say all courses were amazing.Thank you for the dessert Edmund! Initial impressions were awesome with the high standards of ambiance, deco, service level n cutlery etc, Menu too was surprisingly interesting with the many unique dishes on show. Essentially it is an up class restaurant serving traditional Malay food . The food is nice and the price suits the type of restaurant. The Deep Fried Crystal Tilapia Tiga Rasa is sooo marvellous. The fish is quite big. Very crispy & not soggy at all. The service is so fast. Price is quite affordable with the portion of tge food. But Ayam Panggang is so-so. The sambal may need to be improve a bit. Overall, defo will repeat the Talapia Tiga Rasa! Love the ambiance oso.❤️

Came to dine on a weekday at 3pm. The place was pretty empty. Attentive service by the staff. Read good review about the lamb chop and tried it. Really delish. The sauce chosen was black pepper, mushroom and sambal hijau (so good) Drink was a sirap lemonade which is quite odd taste. Less 1 star cos many drinks were sold out. Price wise is on the high side.

Overall very nice dining experience. Nice ambiance, nice food presentation, friendly and welcoming staffs. Food price is picket friendly, good portion size and taste is good. Came to celebrate my mother birthday. Food was absolutely delicious! Service was tip top too, kids were occupied with chess game while waiting food to be serve. Tasty vegetarian selection. I like the Neptune Class Fried Rice with Vegetarian Spring Roll. The Nasi Lemak Bunga Telang is also scrumptious on its own. Also worth it to try the Tauhu Goreng if you like crispy texture and the rojak kuah that comes with it is also superb.

The ambience was relaxing & good. The noodle was less tasty. The cendol drink was just ok nothing great! What I really hope is that the staffs could be more trained to greet & say 'Thank you come again' which will make us more appreciated. I'm a regular customer to Serai where I have been there so many times because of their great service.

One of the best peranakan food that you can get here in PJ! The ambience and setting of the restaurant was classy yet comfortable and their dessert is to die for! Make sure to order their Fish Head Curry and Grilled Platter. I personally enjoyed those 2 dishes the most. Will definitely return to try out more of their dishes!

The food is great, especially the Nonya chicken chop and satay. However the satay is on the pricey side. RM30 for 6 sticks is slightly expensive for me. Overall we have a pleasant dining experience.

The sambal petai goreng chilli fried rice was really good! Loved the taste of the chilli garam with the ayam goreng. The baba goreng spaghetti with tempeh goreng chilli garam was an amazing vegetarian option. Overall, the food was good ❤️

Had a team lunch here. They are able to cater to 40 pax with no issue. Food were delicious! Speed was good. Everyone commented that the lunch out of the ordinary. There a lot of unique dishes and the twist to our ordinary dishes was surprising.

Lunch set is worth for trying and the ala carte also not bad (we tried the pull beef burger, with local savory). Not to mention it's dessert - Sago Gula Melaka is one of the delicacy that worth giving 5 stars. Keep it up!!!

Nasi lemak is really flavorful! The grill chicken was tender and juicy. The fried spaghetti was slightly too spicy for me although i requested for less spicy. Really recommend the nasi lemak.
