Pastries have good texture and are very airy but I thought the croissant was lacking taste and could be more buttery. The pain au chocolat could also have a little more chocolate. The almond croissant was different. Not so dense and strong in almond flavor, but I guess it makes it lighter to eat. The Danish was very tasty, my favorite, with a blueberry and custard. I will be trying their bread next, and I love this packaging! Also very kind staff. I find it a bit overpriced. $22 for 4 pastries.

Once you taste bread from Woodfrog Bakery, you will not go back to any other bread. Woodfrog Bakery in St. Kilda is the original place to other Woodfrog Bakery in Melbourne. It's a small, cosy, and friendly place that serves delicious bakery options. I got soir and danish that made my day brighter This place also supports other local businesses in town. When I dropped in, I saw a flyer about another location nearby that serves breakfast and pup for both dogs and humans. Cute!

Brought some of their goods when walking past their stall at the Arts Centre Sunday market. Lovely spelt scones, date scones, fruit bun, almond croissant and pumpkin bread. Delicious!! If I wasn't going to theatre and didn't want to lug around too big a bag would have got more. Though tempted to try while watching a play I did wait til on train home.

A bakery to remember, from the friendly service to the scrumptious offerings. We shared the spelt scone, almond croissant and chocolate croissant. The taste buds were totally sated, reflecting the rating. It was completely worth the detour to seek out this place. Wonder if the other Woodfrog outlets are even comparable...

Being the best Hot Cross buns in Melbourne I bought 4 to give as gifts to friends on Sunday . To my disappointment I had been given ones from the edge of the tray , uneven and hard . I will be returning them today. Woodfrog were very apologetic and replaced them plus some extras. This is how they should look.

Excellent place in all aspects. Nice service, amazing bread and food, and great coffee. Best ham and cheese croissant I've ever had. And a great idea to have a toaster on your table with unlimited toast and condiments (butter, vegemite, peanut butter, and variety of jams) for only $7. Well done guys!

We visited the Woodfrog Bakery store in Acland Court earlier in the day and decided to check out the bakery. We'd actually been here before but not on a quiet day like this. It was nice and quiet and we had a lovely chat with the German girl that served us. Great bakery, highly recommended.

The best hot cross buns ever. So fresh and delicious - full of fruit and spice and better than any others. A great selection of other rustic breads and treats. You need an eagle eye to find it, however on street parking is pretty easy to find. Take the drive and give them a try.

Bought a bun and some olive bread to go with my lunch and dinner and it was really tasty! I caught myself just eating a slice of bread with some olive oil, pepper and salt throughout the day. Great to have this so close to where I’m

This local bakery has the best sourdough Bagette‘s and croissants in Melbourne. For all the years I’ve been going it is always the best quality freshly made on site. Definitely recommend - you won’t be disappointed

I get sourdough and soir (medium/ dark sourdough) numerous times a week at Woodfrog and it’s by far my personal favourite bakery in Melbourne. The raspberry danish and croissants are also exceptional …

I don't know if it was my expectations of what pastry shoupd be like, but this was not it, the chocolate croissant was lacking enough chocolate and the rest were average pastries.

Best bakery in the area! There was a pretty big line on Sunday morning but staff got through everyone quickly and our coffee's were ready in no time.

I love this bakery.. Their honey and oat loaf is one of the best quality bread I’ve ever eaten. Makes great toast or flavoursome sandwiches.

Another best almond croissant I have found in Melbourne at lower price than LUNE ( you can save double ) …

Excellent breads of all kind, nice breakfast place here. Always crowded. Courteous staff. Excellent food. What more you can ask for?

The smallest most expensive sausage rolls in Melbourne! Unless the staff member ripped me off. $6 for a party size sausage roll.

No pies so close to closing but I walked away with 2 plain croissants, 2 almond croissants and a blue berry danish for a steal.

Bakes were good! I believe this is the original shop. Not much dining in space and no coffee. More of a takeaway bakes concept.

  • Sharon Taylor

We purchased a bag of bagels and were very impressed by the flavour and texture. A great crust and nice and chewy. Delicious!

  • Shabnam Bozorgzad

The best coffee with almond milk I've ever had. The food is very good and staff are friendly. I'll definitely be back. Yum

  • Rach

The almond croissant tastes so good they do have the amazing baker in the house …

  • Kiley Li

Was disappointed that their almond croissant is soft and not flaky. Kind of bread-like. Tastes quite average too.

  • Stefano Ferro

The bread is absolutely the best in Melbourne, no question about it. The service could be more smily and friendly
