A park nearby the tiny "strip mall" sort of ordeal that holds a No-frills, Dollar tree and Starbucks currently. Also near things such as UNYA, a first nations youth centre aswell as the Friendship Centre and their shop. A very big, nice park. Personally, I like when they fill their pool area up (albeit, its rare.) as it is a nice experience. Their "jungle gym" park is a bit outdated, to be honest but I think that's the charm of it. Also has two huge fields, and plenty of shade around if you can get a space under their trees. All around recommend, it's a nice park to come to.

The park is not too bad, there's a lovely little community garden and the surrounding area is great. The facilities are beginning to show their age but, most importantly, the bathrooms are always terrible. I know that there are many addicts that frequent the park but when I was there yesterday, there was a ton of needles (like 10), discarded trash and other paraphernalia in the men's washroom. It's not somewhere I can take my kids to go to the bathroom, even in the case of emergency. I feel that, with an on-site caretaker, this should be addressed much more frequently.

This park is the size of a city block with good amenities and large grassy fields. There are a couple of baseball diamonds, a playground, a community garden, an empty splash pool (don’t know when they fill it with water if it’s dry during a heatwave), swings, benches, and washrooms. There are some totem sculptures that speak to the heritage of the community and unceded indigenous lands. There is a colourful structure with boxes and shelves, but I did not explore it further than walking around and taking a pic. Plenty of shade to be found around the open, sunny areas.

Large Park with a plotted vegetable and flower garden for those in the community. The park gets really busy in the summertime. The hours are 6am to 10pm, but one can technically go there anytime. The hours are devoted to keeping a safe community. I have sat here to eat sushi that I purchased from Commercial drive many times and the experience with being able to watch people is worth it. It is worth the trek to this park.

It's a well maintained park with a fenced off street hockey rink, playground and water park. Lots of community events are held at this park and it's ok most of the time. Usually though there is a homeless community that populates the war memorial and the bathroom. They keep to themselves most of the time but occasionally heckle passerbys, I could see it making some people uncomfortable.

Woodland park is a busy park in the summer, but a good hangout. The north baseball field stays pretty busy and games are nice to watch from a distance. The central community garden (next to the public washroom) is lush and beautiful. There is more open field in the south for playing and relaxing. Bonus, there are a couple of local breweries and often a food truck just across the way!

  • Dandelion Thief

Classic community park. Great for summer lounging, has a community garden, a baseball diamond, shade and sun in equal measure. Only knocked off one star cuz in the winter the south half of the park gets particularly swampy--but such is the peril of a low-lying area! Oh and it has breweries and Earnest Ice Cream right beside, so that's an added bonus

What a little gem this park is! Just outside of Strathcona kitty corner to Bomer Brewery is this quiet grassy park. Community garden, bathrooms and a swing set for the kids makes this an ideal place for locals and visitors. There are a couple of food trucks that usually park nearby so just bring a blanket and enjoy a sunny day

Woodland Park, renowned for its lush greenery and tranquil ambiance, offers a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. This beautifully maintained park boasts a variety of amenities, including well-marked trails for hiking and biking, spacious picnic areas, and a playground that is a hit with children.

  • Tom Szymanski

Decent spot of green space if you’re looking to chill or play some softball. Playground for kids is fine but a bit small given the number of kids in the area. The swings and wading pool are well past their prime. Community gardens give the park some character. Bomber brewing and Earnest ice cream are nearby.

  • Godwin C

The main draw here besides the 2 baseball diamonds is a small wading pool for tots. It is rather unique among parks these days. Plenty of parking around Maclean and Woodland. Also a gorgeous community garden. There are also a few art and totem pieces around for visual interest.

  • Cail Smith

A really nice local part. Nothing fancy but has a small playground, washrooms, community garden and baseball diamonds. Is made up of two separated grass fields. Good place to meet up. Liquor store and Earnest Ice Cream near by, as well as food on the Drive.

  • Jennifer Jones-Paull

I didn't see whole park, we sat very close to our car. Since I'm in a wheelchair, I sat close to playground for the children we visited and had picnic with. Park was very busy, lots of families enjoying the space and sunshine. I'll definitely go back.

  • Mun Yee Kelly

I love this little spot. It's super chill, has a darling little community garden, lots of space to relax, and is right down the road from Coho Coffee so I can grab a snack and have mini picnics with no real effort required. What's not to love?

  • Cynthia Edwards

Mostly just a park for kids . But it's also got a garden (community). And a baseball diamond field, that locals play on. Bathrooms are always clean.
Playground
Small play ground but sufficient.
Restrooms
Always clean restrooms.

  • Rachel MacGregor

  • Stu161

great park with multiple grass fields, playgrounds, and a community garden. there's a totem pole on the east side and some other interesting sculptures and totems accompanying it. Saw this Red Crossbill while I was seated near the garden

  • Conor Larkin

Very nice park, family friendly and easy to access. Loads of breweries and coffee chips nearby which is fantastic. Toilets are okay, great to have them available. Plenty of space to meet up (meeting the guidelines!) Will be back for sure

  • Jacob Buhrig

Woodland park has a great view, is close to earnest ice cream, bomber, and off the rail and is a great place to relax during the summer. Never experienced anyone disturbing others, and there's generally some cute dogs hanging around.

  • Kate Desnudo

My local park. Lots of good beer to be found nearby, an amazing ice cream shop and coffee which you can enjoy under a shady tree or while looking at the community garden. Lots of space for activities and it's not usually busy

  • Kenny T

Nice Park, has 2 sides of grass areas, 2 playgrounds and a mini outdoor pool (Not sure if it's a swimming pool or just a water play pool) There's a lot of sand underneath the grass areas so be aware if you don't like sand.

  • mason

this park is such a good place to have a picnic. the baseball fields aren't my favorite but its still great to use, the south field is a bit lumpy for baseball but the north field is pretty good.

  • Julie “Chronfused” Barrera

Two fields a suuuuper cute community garden and lots of nice seating this is a perfect place to enjoy a socially distant ice cream or beer as it’s close to several breweries and earnest ice cream

  • s A

Great park. On some sunny days their is baseball games on one half of the park but when there is no baseball, both fields have peeps chillin lounging on the grass. Overall pretty deez park.

  • Stephanie Wickham

Such a cute park, lots of area to sit/play! Had a baseball diamond and a cute garden in the middle!... not to mention some great restaurants and Earnest ice cream a few steps away!!

  • Tymen Ardron

This park is fine. The playground is old and the fields get muddy. The community gardens are nice and there is a lovely little area in the trees that the kids like to play in.

  • Jennie Yan

Nice little park in the heart of Commercial Drive. Plenty of green space to share on busy weekends. Our friends had a birthday celebration here and there was plenty of space.

  • Jacquie Harkema

Two large fields. Children's playground. Washroom. No off-leash dog areas. The park itself is ok. Be aware of dangerous refuse, particularly on the back side of the building.

  • Christopher Higgins

An uncrowded basic park, good play and swing set for the kids. Wading pool open in the summer, baseball pitch, bathrooms, and lots of open space to read or relax in.

  • Jamey Mills

Local East Van park in with several craft breweries nearby

  • Sara Martin

2 bathroom stalls 1 had TP Other then that was clean taken care of But it was a beautiful day so lots of people out enjoying the park so that explains the TP

  • Harry Powell

A nice park, but with no facilities such as picnic tables or shelters. There are a few benches and the most horrible washrooms I've seen in a very long time.

  • G G

A nice open space to have a brew with your pals and enjoy the Sun, don't expect much more than a place to chill in an open field oh, this isn't the Taj Mahal

  • N

Very nice park. Unfortunately the Washrooms are not very nice. Used to be a lot better when they had looking after the Washrooms but now they really stink

  • Churknung Chan

People usually pass by the park as the short cut to commercial area.
Playground
To play there for a short time is ok.
Restrooms
Still clean.

  • Mackenzie Shopland

A very active community park with lots of people stopping by for lunch, parties, or ball games. Pretty basic services, but there is a pitch and bathroom.

  • Jennifer Chu

Great local park that's great to see in good use during this Physical Distancing time. Everyone is respecting their neighbours and the space around them.

  • duncan shields

Good basic park. Functional playground. Two softball diamonds. Swing set. Shallow pool in the summer. Community garden. Gets a bit marshy when it rains.

  • James Scott

Cute park, mix of sun and shade. Lots of people relaxing. Great place to grab some food from a brewery or food truck nearby and hang out with friends.

  • Mike Peel

Not my first choice for Parks, but it has open washrooms and its close to some Breweries! February 2022: I think washrooms are closed for maintenance.

  • Aaron Chin

Quiet and plenty of greenspace. Lots of trees for shade and benches too. Well-kept with on site bathrooms. Plenty of local food and drink nearby.

  • Gordon LaRochelle

Great little community park to check out, not the biggest park but decent size enough to hang out for a bit of time with family or friends.

  • Human Being

Popular park in the area. Great place for kids to play during the day, but at night, beware of drunk folks, used needles, and prostitution.

  • Joel Schat

I come here everyday with my doggo. It's kind of the perfect park! Bball, tennis, a hill to watch the sunset on, good culture. 10/10

  • Charl L

How can you go wrong at this park? Just come and chill. bring a blanket. Walk through the community garden. Also public washrooms!

  • Greg Andrews

Probably the smallest park in Vancouver to still have a live-in caretaker. Who sometimes doesn't unlock the mens' bathroom.
