We have taken the kids here once or twice before but it's really gone downhill lately. It's dirty, dusty, and has no air-conditioning at all. There are lots of things broken or in disrepair. We wanted to play a two-person game and only one side works. The kids play equipment literally has parts falling off. The kids wanted to play on the "jumping castle" but it's half inflated and held together with rope and cable ties. The kids wanted to leave as the equipment is broken. There were no refunds. Random stickers on just about everything stating "own risk" or "not working". The place hasn't been dusted above shoulder height in what looks to be years. Got a child with asthma? Don't go near the place. Want healthy food options? There was none. Cake, lollies, pizza, or deep fried only. Staff try to be helpful but the manager isn't open to discussion all. Given the heat and the lack of airflow in Woodies, the money saved on entry would just go in trying to hydrate the skaters at the overpriced snacks counter. Remember, no food or drink allowed that isn't purchased on site! I'm paying the slightly higher price and going to the YMCA just down the road. Sure its a few dollars more to get in but at least it's clean, cool, the staff are nice, the equipment isn't falling apart, and refreshments are cheaper. After a few hours at Woodies, the few dollars saved on entry just don't seem worth the heat and stress.

Centre itself was good for the kids just really unhygienic, was so dusty everywhere especially in the arcade section and just food thrown all over the ground through the play equipment (not Woody's fault) and all the foam had teeth marks and food all over them. Wouldn't usually post a baddish review but when you pay $4.50 per a dagwood dog for them to be still frozen in the middle, I get the teenagers that are hired may not know how to use a deep fryer but they really should be timing how long an item is in the deep fryer before serving. The place has potential to be a bigger hit with kids as adults just by hiring an end of shift cleaner and maybe having a staff monitor/security for kids making a mess and have an impromptu clean to run over the place. Staff should probably be a bit more trained when it comes to food for paying customers, yes serving a partially frozen dagwood dog isn't life threatening nor against Australias food safety laws but it's probably not going to win you any awards.

My kids, aged 4 and 8, had a great time. Kids don’t care about the condition of the place nor the cleanliness because they are rough and dirty by nature which is why we love them so much. They spent a full 2 hours playing in the soft indoor playgym this morning using up excess energy. The place itself needs a deep clean, and paint. It’s fine that its older, but cleanliness is important especially because kids are germ factories. Maybe hire a team of people to just get in there and clean every nook and cranny, then paint, and start again, even with the same equipment it would be a big improvement and wouldn’t cost a considerable amount. 3 stars because of the cleanliness and appearance. I would have given 5 stars for its function to have a safe inexpensive place for kids to play indoors because it satisfies that need. It’s a fun place that is clearly well loved and used by the community.

The skate shop here is great. The staff are very friendly, helpful and honest. The prices are as you'd expect. A little more expensive than online. The actual skating is very cheap they have a few rinks, a small disco one. A main one and a play area for parties. The whole area is very worn out. Its basically just a giant shed with painted concrete which is faded and gross. Being a shed there is no temperature control so it can get really hot and really cold. Don't go in extreme temperatures!! They have roller skates rollerblades and scooters as well as protective gear. They also have a small kitchen with food. Oh and arcade machines. Grata place for kids parties. Would recommend it

Roller rink was fun . Great for children and adults children . lol . Good selection of games , bounce house , little disco section , maze equipment & cheap snacks. Only let down was the token machine -as it ate my money without giving tokens and ate my tokens in the skill tester machine . Advised management and hoping they get this fixed as they did inform me it was ongoing issue. No phone number displayed on machine .

Woody's Roller World has got to be the best place in Hobart to take your kids and an enjoyable place to relax with your friends. It's entertaining, fun and an overall has a really positive energy. The staff, especially one Max Hoyle was extremely knowledgable and friendly. I couldn't recommend the place higher. I'll absolutely be coming soon.

Would be a good place if the owner wasn’t so rude, took my son there with friend and his friend vomited on the floor by accident, I had every intention on taking him home so not to contaminate the place but got told very rudely to leave after trying to apologise. The rest of the staff are good I’d hate to work for that lady though.

Old School Prices & Vibe unheard of in modernization era. Young staff are very friendly. Lost my Bose Headphones over weekend which were promptly returned by the young lady staffer next week. A BIG thank you to her & all the staff.

Great place to skate, very friendly staff, chill environment, affordable. Good place for meeting new people, bathrooms need a little bit of work but other then that it's a great place to come and have fun.

Always great for the kids. Massive indoor play park, including a big skating rink. Every Friday Night they have a disco. Plenty of off street parking. Not to expensive either.

The people on site are helpful and friendly. The junior roller derby is one of the friendliest groups I have had the joy of being associated with.
