I recently had the pleasure of visiting the World of Illusions museum in Los Angeles, and I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service provided by one of their employees, Tim. From the moment we entered the upside down house, this employee went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was unforgettable. Their photography ideas were truly remarkable. They had an incredible eye for capturing the illusions and creating stunning visual compositions. Their suggestions for poses and angles resulted in some truly unique and captivating photographs. Thanks to their expertise, we were able to capture memories that will last a lifetime. What impressed me the most was their patience and kindess. As first-timers in LA and Hollywood, Tim went beyond their role by providing us with additional recommendations for exploring Los Angeles as first-timers. They shared valuable insights, suggested must-visit landmarks, and even recommended some local hidden gems. Their genuine passion for their city and desire to make our visit memorable were evident throughout our interaction. Overall, I cannot commend Tim enough for their exceptional service, photography ideas, and their attentiveness to our needs as first-time visitors. Their commitment to ensuring a delightful experience truly made our visit to the World of Illusions museum and our time in Los Angeles unforgettable. I highly recommend seeking out their assistance when you visit the museum; you won't be disappointed. Thank you to the entire team at World of Illusions, and a special thanks to this exceptional employee, Tim, for their outstanding service.

Quite frankly, I loved this one for the creativity and lots of photo ops. Do not pay full price or price of VIP admissions. On its best day, it's worth 1/4 of what I paid. Look at the busy times, go on a cool day when people aren't likely to go. There were some actual professional shots I needed to take of this place and could hardly get them because of all the insta-girls filming against the backdrops (I do like that they not only allow photography, but encourage it, but they need more space). The paintings / artwork are absolutely phenomenal. The staff are not that attentive, no A/C or ventilation, so it's gets VERY hot & crowded in there, and the place is pretty dirty, otherwise I'd rate higher. If they improved just a couple of those types of things, this place would be poppin'. Advisory post corona / about the neighborhood: If you are a tourist and not a local, be prepared to pay for parking somewhere safe BEFORE YOU GO (I used spothero), and go with somebody. I would NOT go here alone or unarmed, as the homeless outside of hollywood blvd along with all the criminal activities is so, so bad - the cops have basically abandoned the area. We had several people walk up to us attempting to sell a variety of things including drugs, witnessed drug deals/altercations and the homeless problem is 10x what it was a few years ago. They also require a cotton mask (the other ones not "thick enough" according to their staff). I had to go buy a $6 mask from nearby tourist shop and then everyone took them off inside anyway.

We visited on a Saturday. We had to purchase our tickets in person because the website wouldn't allow us to purchase general admission tickets online. Honestly the way that we were given the runaround to buy tickets online, we came to the conclusion that the difficulty was deliberate. We tried on a mobile phone, on a laptop and even on a tablet with no luck. Of course the discount code for tickets was only redeemable online smh. We explained to the employee about our failed attempts to purchase tickets online but she didn't really seem interested. So we ended up paying regular price which even at a discounted rate this museum was over priced in my opinion. The place is very small and can get crowded. You can barely take a picture because there's literally someone waiting to take a picture right after you. I live in Los Angeles so maybe someone from out of town would find this place more exciting because we sure didn't. If you can't buy tickets online at a discounted price then I'd advise you to skip this museum. The only reason that I even gave it three stars is because my two children enjoyed taking pictures but they weren't the ones that paid so...‍♀️

Don’t waste your money or time. Very underwhelming and the staff is terrible. The upside down room was literally three rooms and all the props had things taken off them or they were vandalized. The giant house was ok. Definitely not worth the price. My family and I were looking forward to having a great time but when I asked a staff member If we could use the restroom, he stated we weren’t allowed to because we didn’t pay for the FULL museum of illusion experience. We spent over $300 for admission… I explained that I had started my monthly and I had a child I needed to change but the worker kept reiterating that we couldn’t use the restroom because we didn’t pay. The argument escalated once my husband heard the attitude and rudeness the staff member was directing at me. It led to him having to walk out before he really made a scene. A crime scene haha. Thankfully, a different staff member decided to escort us to the restroom and apologized for the confrontation. Definitely an unforgettable experience….

l didn't know what to expect when I was invited to join my friends on a roadtrip to LA. We stopped at Museum of Illusions and glad we did. The museum was actually pretty cool with artwork on two levels. TIP: Follow the signs where they tell the photographer to stand etc. It will make the photo even better. Parking can be tough in LA but glad there was a parking garage next door and not a far walk. We walked in and paid for our entrance. When we visited, there was a Yelp discount so be sure to check Yelp before paying. There are a lot of art work to be creative with. Stand in line and wait your turn. We had so much taking photos of each other. Overall, a great place to be with friends and laughing at how the pics came out made it even a better experience. Fun place...

I surprised my husband for his birthday but decided to get the VIP package and I’m so GLAD I did. Not only did we cut the line but our photographer David was so so amazing. Without David, we would have not had the AMAZING photos videos and the BEST time!!!!! Hands down if it wasn’t for David our photographer our photos wouldn’t have been as cool as us trying to guess what to do as far as poses. Thank you so much for making our time incredible! Would highly recommend David as your photographer and do the VIP you won’t regret it one bit. He made our day ! We also smashed plates after & that was cool. Also I appreciate my videos taken on my phone for added memories!

Save your money. Went to the illusion museum with my kids and an artist who was hired by the establishment was dropping F-bombs like crazy. I asked him to stop while my family was there and he starts cursing at me. I asked the employee who was standing there to address him and she just stared at me. I went to the front counter and asked for the manager.....and you guessed it, the girl who watched the entire thing go down, was the manager!!! I spent $150 and its a joke, the staff is a joke, and you definitely don't want to take your children to this trash place.

Visited LA for a concert & couldn’t miss out the chance to check out this 3D Illusion museum! I booked the Silver VIP package that included 2 experiences of your choice & a personal photographer that uses a professional camera, as well as your cell phone, to snap pics! My daughter & I had the pleasure of having David snap our pics. He.. Was.. Awesome!! He explained each illusion to us before we snapped it up, helped us out w/poses, & had a friendly & welcoming attitude! David & this Illusion Museum were definitely a vibe! Highly recommend!

We have some fun going here at this area yesterday. I think the ticket price is just fine at 30 dollars for the adult if you enjoy the social media posting. You have to have a creative mind to put yourself in the picture to enjoy the 3D illusion and try to find the sample picture posted on the walls as well. Not too busy yesterday, but need to be patience when some visitors cannot find the right angle on how they will take a perfect picture. So, you need to wait for your turn. Overall visit is just fine and no hassle.

I highly would recommend this museum if your visiting California I really had a fun time, there were many different photos that I have taken but here is a few that i really enjoyed me and a group got a deal on group the place was very clean and really nice the only thing is i wish it was a little bit bigger i think the selfie museum and the illusion museum would have been perfect together if you came on a day like we did it was not very busy we finished the whole museum in a little bit over a hour. They also have tripods for you to take professional pictures. Overall i would highly recommend anyone to visit this location.

  • Dominic Baltazar

Ima start by saying I'm usually kinda cheap and the tickets at 30 dollars was just fine for the level of good time I had. There was a good amount of people but everyone took turns helped eachother get the best angles. The photographers walk around helping even taking a photo or two for us. Spent a good hour and 10 minutes ish. Inside took way more photos then I can post. Just great time.

Would of been a better experience if they would hire photographers that WE as customers can pay extra for to get all the right angles and pictures to bring out the full illusion! I notice A lot people had a hard time figuring it out...and some pics dnt look the same as the examples they provide because the paintings need a little touch up or we didnt know how to angle it to look the same.

Pretty cool experience, they offer tripods so you can take pics of yourself/be your own photographer. There are also camera indicators on the ground that show you exactly where to place the tripod and examples on the wall that show where to stand/pose to capture the pic at the perfect angle. Results in some cool pics! Just wish the prices were a bit lower, but they’re understandable.

It was a fun experience. We took lots of pictures! The only thing was that it was super HOT! It’s not completely a closed building the front is open so the ac does not refresh the whole place. Another sweet thing is each picture has a floor indicator to snap the perfect picture at the perfect angle Overall fun!

Fun little stop. My girl's did the upside one. I think you get to choose from 3 to 4 different areas. The cost i thought was a bit pricey. I would recommend getting the stand for additional price. We had a lot of fun taking different silly pictures.

We did two rooms (giant house and upside down house). It was fine and we got some good pictures, but we could have done both of those in a half an hour total. It was more expensive than I expected, since you have to pay for each exhibit you go to.

The place is very cool but its very expensive they have like three different sections giant house, 3D and upside down and you have to pay $30 each which I believe is overpriced. You have 4 to 5 rooms each section just to take pictures and $30 for that is very high. I wanted to see the all three but because of the high rate we were only able to get into the one.

  • Cristin Dunn

We were already having a good time but then Tim, a worker/photographer came by and just elevated our experience! He made us really have some fun in the upside down house!! This place is worth it, if you have an imagination. After only getting a couple minutes with Tim, I wish I would have had a photographer the whole time. The photos are amazing!

  • Наталья Попова

Cool place, we had so much fun, I even didn’t expect that. My kid 3 years old was so excited, mostly he liked room with all big items. I want to say big thanks for supervisor Nadia, she was so nice and helped us, she explained us everything, how to make pictures, where are examples. We definitely come back with our friends to have fun together!

  • J. Ashby

It’s a museum where you take selfies with the illusion of being upside down. It was ok, there were 6-7 rooms (don’t remember) and each was uniquely decorated. The tour took about 15-20 mins. I think it was overpriced.

A bit pricey. Tons of art illusions to take photos with. I'd recommend going with two or three people in order to take the photos. It's an interactive place that takes maybe 1 hour at the most. No parking nearby unless you pay for a lot. Near other museums and the Kodak theater.
