Not the greatest place. First off, Their name should change. They have little to nothing in store that is a dollar. Second, everything is overpriced and horrible quality. Take one second to go look at their "toy" aisle and you will see that they have tons off knock off, crappy quality products. If they have anything g that is licensed then it's probably some complete worthless price of junk that is overpriced. Third, if their prices weren't bad enough then just wait. The store just got new owners, and the new owners are raising the already bs prices. They do have ALOT of stock, just not of anything good. The return policy is also pretty okay, returning a few items before that had been broken and getting replacements on them. I would recommend going anywhere else, if possible. But if you have no other choice l ike I do, then go their.

My son and I were picking up a couple supplies for a school project and he needed to use the washroom. I asked one of the ladies if he could use the washroom, she seemed very unsure, hesitated, and then went and asked another lady. The other lady said there was no washroom in the store. I’m pretty sure that was a lie. If there was no washroom at all, the first lady I asked would have just said so. I paid for the items and we had to rush over to Subway to use their washroom. What I should have done was leave my over priced items and took my business elsewhere. To turn a young child down who has to go pee is super inconsiderate and rude. Shame on you. I won’t be back.

Like many dollar stores, they tend to be overpriced. This on its own would be fine as you often pay for convenience, and higher per unit prices can be worthwhile for the lower quantities of items you can get at Dollar stores. What makes this not ok is that the experience is often hostile or rude at the same time. Staff will ring in prices directly rather than by UPC, and if they do expect them to be padded. If you call them on it they will insist you are incorrect, and when pushed they will "double check" the price, and then give you the ticketed price but not so much as an apology. Stay away.

If I could give zero stars I would. I went there to get a few things for thanksgiving and the lady who owns this store or manager is extremely rude. I saw how she treated the young lady working at the store I felt bad for her she was yelling at her and disrespecting without any reason I think she is new haven't seen her before. first off we all make mistakes if we don't we couldn't learn anything but I don't think she did anything wrong at a time. please respect your employees customer service starts from respecting your employees. will not shop there again.

Kind of surprised these remaining dollar stores are still in business. They're not competitive in pricing to Dollarama or the Dollar Tree. I also noticed that they had way overpriced masks and sanitizer. Aren't we past that now? Just because you are located in a fairly well-to-do community, doesn't mean the shoppers there aren't going to take note of the fact that things are overpriced compared to other dollar stores and thus take their business elsewhere.

Tried to go to a more local place, rather than the big box guys. These guys have lots of the dollar store type items that you would expect. Lots of selection of non brand cheap items that they are pricing higher than what you would find anywhere else. Even more than what I can get brand name items for. But they were busy, so gotta be something to it. I am all for supporting local small business if they are at least reasonable .

Went to this place 3 times and every time I go, they tell me to put my bag at the door… but when my girlfriend goes alone with a bag they let her keep it.. mind you I’m Native American and my girlfriend is white… plus I walked past 4 people with bags on so why do I have to take mine off?? Instead of giving them business I left to the rexall down the street, surprisingly I could keep my bag on in there lol

This used to be the only place I would buy my balloons. Recently they increased the price of their helium, and the quality went WAY down. They now only guarantee latex balloons for 12 hours!! I have been there twice this month and both times my balloons have lasted less than a day. DO NOT go there for latex helium balloons! It is a rip off and the balloons dont last!

I like that dollar store very convenient for us...the staff are nice in my own experienced i was able to get what I wanteď for a birthday party preparation in a reasonable priced.Everything goes up now a days, so people think A dollar store is always a dollar,not all stuff are worth a $1.Happy to have that store for my kid.

Your website states this location closes at 9pm on Fridays. I was at the McKenzie Towne location at 8:35 and already closed. The lady leaving the store said their hours are until 8:30 on Fridays. Not impressed. Any legitimate business will stick to their published business hours. Are you a legitimate business or not?

Its a great place to get your party supplies. They blow up balloons full of helium. Whether you are having a childs birthday or an adults party they have it all. At the same time you can pick up pop, chips and chocolate bars for the party. The staff are always friendly and ready to assist you in your party needs.

Horrible place, went to get a picture frame . Way over priced $4- $20 dollars a frame. You can get better quality ones from a retail store for that price. Don't know how they get away selling cheap "made in China " products for so much! Will defiantly avoid going to this store again. Rather walk the extra blocks!

Went in there to get helium balloons for baby. Prices were relatively ok. Not too many people in there so it was easy to move around inside. Parking is limited because it's just a few spots that are shared with other shops. I think the prices are better than the Dollar store at bridlewood though.

Definitely not a "dollar store". They have a good selection of themed party items, but they are certainly overpriced, along with everything else in the store. I found numerous items that would cost less to purchase at Walmart! I recommend only going there if you are out of other options!

They have some pretty cool toys and items but it is extremely overpriced for a dollarstore. They had some knock off Hello Kitty birthday themed party supplies that party city carries for double the price!!!! For knock offs!! Its supposed to be a dollarstore. Ridiculous.

I walked in and the cashier was telling another customer not to touch everything because we are still in Covid times and saying to only touch what they are buying. Please consider talking to this employee about her rudeness! Won’t be shopping here again

Two stars, only because its a convenient location for those that live in the Mckenzie, Elgin, New Brighton, Copperfield area. However, be warned the prices here are terrible. If price is your main concern then head over to 130th Ave

Amazing store love coming here and shopping. There is so much selection to chose from and the staff is extremely helpful. It’s got god prices compared to other store around the city. Will definitely be shopping here again.

This is my favourite dollar store, I drive from Southwood ( where there are several dollar stores) to go to this one. Their selection is good, the store is clean, the co-workers are helpful and kind. 5 stars PLUS

We had a birthday party at 10am on Sunday and the staff kindly offered to come in early so that we could pick up our balloons at 940am. The balloons looked great and were back at the house on time for the party!

Many different types of items can be purchased at a price range of $1.25 to $5 Staff are always available for quick knowledge of whatever you ask them. Also friendly and courteous staff.

Good selection of things but to call this a dollar store is a reach. Some items are poor quality and are extortionately priced. Not really a true dollar store.

Sells slightly cheaper stuff than Dollarama but it does helium balloons which is a bonus. Overall a good dollar store. You get what you pay for.
